I would not rent from them again unless I was hard-pressed.During our time there (two years), there were plenty of maintenance issues and accompanying complications:(1) We asked for the dryer to be repaired (turns out the issues went far beyond just the dryer), and it took about a month for someone to come out because Renters failed to contact the vendor even though they had told me they had done so. I lost about two weeks because of that.(2) Somehow a metal piece toward the top of the house came loose (where even an 18-foot ladder would not reach!), and with the strong winds, it banged outside my bedrooms window, making it so I could not study nor sleep. I put in for an expedited request, and it took WEEKS for someone to come.(3) The toilet stopped working and although a vendor came out quickly to remedy the issue, it took several times of communicating with Renters over a couple of weeks for the bill to be paid.And that wasnt all:(1) We had an issue with having a lot of wasps in the home during October both years, and Renters indicated they would do nothing to take care of it--it was all on us, as per the lease.(2) Upon moving out, they only refunded half of our security deposit. About 1/2 of what they withheld was justified, but not the other 1/2. They claimed the shrubbery and exterior areas were not left in the same condition as upon taking possession, yet I paid for everything to be mowed right before leaving the home. It seems arbitrary and they attached no photos as proof of what they claim.If you do decide to rent with them, just be sure to stay on top of maintenance requests and take photos of everything before you leave, so they cannot say you left something in worse condition than when you first got there.

I moved in to a newly renovated residence and lord it has been falling apart. No fault of the renters company, but Carlos has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve had at least 4 requests in 3 weeks and he is very quick to respond. All my request are handled and taken care of within a few days. He is A+

The team at Renters Warehouse is very understanding, kind, compassionate and works as an open door policy company. They work with you when youre in a rut and honestly communicate. And if one isnt available, someone else will pick up where they left off. They never leave us hanging. I love that, if you dont know, just ask. Renters Warehouse has been nothing but stellar! Angelique and team find great tenants, while Samantha and team cover maintenance and anything else the tenant might need post move-in. Recently, there was water leaking from another unit into the walls of other units, including my rental, and Samantha and team got with not only the owners of each unit but with their property management teams to find a solution! I was updated the entire way and everything was extremely thorough and documented. Ive had RW for several years now and thats going to continue for the foreseeable future. Absolute above and beyond service!

Definitely would recommend them to any looking for a property manager. A little different than past PMs services I have worked such as having to work with different individuals for specific areas of responsibilities. John C did great in showing the property and rented in just over 1 weekend. Roslyn was also great in keeping us informed on the process.

I am relocating to Virginia for work and was trying to find a rental home. I saw one on their site and called the number on the listing. I explained my situation and said that I would be unable to physically tour the property but was wondering if I could set up a virtual tour with an agent. The person on the phone said this would probably work and that she would have somebody call me back about that soon. I was told to go ahead and start the application but not to submit it until after I heard back. I went through the process and even though I never submitted it to the landlord I was still charged. Just a couple of hours later I received an email saying the property was not available anymore. I called and asked for a refund and was told a manager would get back to me. I waited several days and called back. Was told a manager would get back to me. It has been several more days and still no word. They are just blatantly stealing money in bogus applications for rentals that are not available. Terrible company and terrible serviceEditing in response to reply from the company: I have phone records of constant calls. Pretending I have not called several times is dishonest. I have spoken to several of your agents over the last several days and never get a call back. And putting a not-refundable note on your process does not make what you did any less unethical. Telling me to apply for a property that is not available and then taking my money when you provided no service is stealing. A quick look at the other reviews on here shows that you have a pattern of being dishonest and stealing from people as wellEdit again: I am allegedly being given a refund. I am still out another 35 from the required pet screening company they forced me to use

Angelique is amazing to work with. This was my first time renting out my home, and I was very nervous. She was able to walk me step by step through the process, and ease my mind. Its been almost 6 months now that Renters Warehouse has been managing my home, and I could not be happier!

Complete trash, not service member friendly at all. The do not understand the significance of a PCS move and how that effects a service members income depending on their previous duty station in reference to BAH. I provided documentation proving Hampton Roads BAH in comparison to current duty station. If you are a service member please trust me that you don’t want to risk the 60 dollars per applicant they charge just to deny because they are based in one of the largest military towns in the world and don’t understand PCS/BAH income changes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY PLEASE.

Crooks. You can have a clean renter history and make well over the cost of rent but they take your money and deny your application because they dont like your credit score. They dont try to work with you or even be available to speak with you. Just thanks for the money good luck sailor.

Absolutely HORRIBLE renting management. Had a huge water leak at our home for months, they sent three plumbers out who made the issue worse. my water bill was well over $2,000 over the course of 3 months!! we spoke to the water company, city of suffolk, etc. renters warehouse refused to reimburse me $1,500 saying that they “aren’t responsible for excessive utility usage”. IT WAS A HUGE WATER LEAK coming from a toilet that had a flapper installed improperly, and had no signs that it was running. Secondly, they never notified us that they’re no longer managing our property and that it was turned over to the landlord to handle. I emailed them, asking why we were never notified of this and they never bothered to email me back. Also told our landlord that they were never going to let us know of the change, or that the home is being listed for sale. Run far away from this company. Horrible people and horrible managing. All they want is your money.

AVOID!!!!!Signing a lease associated with this company Renters Warehouse has been one of the worst decisions i have ever made.Do Not sign an As Is lease because this is code for youre on your own. That includes when your entire back fence becomes riddled in poison ivy during the summer. They will essentially tell you to kick dirt and make you feel guilty for having the audacity to ask them for help in tackling the situation. Countless other examples. Took over a week for them to get someone to fix our mailbox when we first moved in and they continuously delete maintenance requests if they dont like them.And we have to pay them monthly as part of our rent, for THIS service.I will never sign anything that is associated with this company for the rest of my life and i will not hesitate to speak poorly of them to other people that may be considering leasing with them. If i could give negative stars i would in a heartbeat.

Maybe coming from the property owner perspective would be different, but dealing with this company as someone who is looking to rent has been surreal. Everything is automated, even the tour. I was interested in renting a property they managed but had some questions specific to the property and the lease which I wanted to have answered before applying and giving them my money and personal information. The one person I was able to speak with over the phone refused to put me in touch with anyone who represented the property in question and just told me to fill out an application; I felt I had clearly communicated I wasnt comfortable filling out an application until I was able to speak with someone who represented the property. The person I spoke to on the phone answered my questions by reading back the parts of the lease agreement I had questions about. Its unfortunate because it was a really neat place.

Great experiences with Renters Warehouse. We closed on a rental property and found tenants before the first mortgage payment was due (for a rent price higher than I had thought we would get!). I highly recommend them as rental property managers. Working with Cassie Parker ahead of a property purchase for rental analysis was extremely helpful in the investment decision making process. We had a AC unit issue and contacted our vendor to take a look at the issue. After many failed attempts at fixing the issues they told us to replace the unit. We asked both Carlos Jerez and Amy Delacruz to dispatch the organizations vendor. Renters Warehouses vendor responded quickly and giving us a estimated quote and solution within 24 hours. Their vendor even found out that our unit was still under warranty even though we have been told numerous times by outside vendors that it was not. With Carlos and Amys responsive actions they saved us a large amount of money, while ensuring our tenants are taken care of.

Amy Delacruz was great in working with us and finding a place that we needed quickly. The townhouse we ended up renting has several issues that need to be addressed, which would have been nice to have been completed prior to us moving in.

I was wonderfully surprised at the high level of responsiveness and professionalism of RW SE Virginia. My REALTOR, Cindy Williams, was incredible! As a long distance client, relocating to VA, Cindy became my eyes and ears when speaking with the property owners of my potential rental. Then Roslyn Rozmus, the office administrator blew me away returning my call well past office hours, and setting up a means for me to pay the security deposit online due to my being out of state. These two people made my experience wonderful and pleasant. I cannot thank them enough!

I suggest avoiding Renters Warehouse they have horrible customer service for people looking to rent a home. Their online registration is extremely intrusive, expensive and they dont care about gaining you as a client but rather make money from the application process. They tell you to do one thing when the exact opposite is true. Weve had to call 30 times to get someone on the phone and not have them ask us to hold for a second while they checked on something only to be transferred to a voicemail.

Most incompetent and unprofessional circus I’ve seen of a property management company. Don’t believe these great reviews they obviously are fake. We were led to believe a property was available for immediate move in, paid them $200 of fees and took time off our busy schedules to view the place only to be slung around no calls no emails for days after applying. No response whatsoever. After several emails and calls to let them know we need an answer because of covid it’s so hard to find a place to rent now, we got approved for another home and we needed to know if we got this one since it was our first choice. I had to let the other property know if we were moving forward by a certain time or we would lose it. Finally, late Monday I get an email saying the property is now listed for sale no longer available and we were not “chosen” so we would receive a letter in a week. We lost the other property we were approved for due to this company not telling us anything. THEY NEVER EVEN CREDIT CHECKED US OR VERIFIED EMPLOYMENT VIA PHONE NOR RENTAL HISTORY. They TOOK our money and did NOTHING! Never have I been treated like this or dealt with such horrible people..if people even work there! Wouldn’t know considering you can’t speak to anyone..***UPDATE DUE TO OWNER RESPONSE**You’re liars. You never ran my credit, I have solid proof from mine AND my husband’s credit. It’s ok, we already are taking care of it. The letter you “sent” was bogus and didn’t even reflect my accurate credit score, not sure who’s credit you supposedly ran but I have proof it’s not mine. The fact that you can’t even give someone a courtesy call but you can be a keyboard warrior on here and try to defend your scummy self is beyond me. I already filed a claim with BBB. Furthermore, I let our social media following (it’s huge don’t worry 😉) know to stay away from you. I hope you predators are done taking advantage of good hard working families after this scam. You never intended to rent that place from the get go and discriminated against us because we are young professionals who make a lot of money and my husband is mixed, and we have a dog. That’s the honest truth whether you liars admit it or not. No reason to deny us.

I would recommend Renters Warehouse to anyone looking to rent, buy, or sell!! I worked with Samara and she was EXCELLENT!! She not only listened but she actually heard my needs and what I wanted in a house. With me working full time with 2 kids she opened her availability to accommodate mines. Other companies only show on certain days and times, so this was very convenient for me. Samara was not pushy and very understanding. I am very satisfied with the property and the service that I received with Samara!!!

Laura Collins is a true hustler. She went above and beyond what Ive ever seen a real estate agent do, especially for what wasnt the biggest commission in the world. She was always easy to reach, always positive, and made a stressful process far less stressful. I strongly recommend her.

We were approved for a property and were told we had to come in to sign and put down a deposit same day. We werent ready to do that and asked if we could have half a week. They said no one else had applied yet and that they would call us if we were about to lose the property. I had to find out through Zillow that they gave away the property from under us.Dont trust their word.

Roaches in apartments while viewing reacted of smoke.. took application fees while property was unavailable!!! Scammers beware!!!

These guys are the best when it comes to property management. My military commitments mean I’m not always around but I sleep easy knowing my property is in good hands. I had the privilege of working with Angelique Bolton and I will work with her ten times over. She is super responsive and does a good job in explaining things to me. I listed my house with renters warehouse and by the next morning potential tenants were already blowing up Angelique’s email and phone.

I contacted renters warehouse to manage my property. I had never owned a rental property before and had no idea what I was doing or what to expect. Cindy Mills was my agent and she was awesome! She was able to answer all my questions and explain how the whole thing works. She warned me that in the colder months (especially during the holidays) it can take a while to find tenants for the property but that she would work hard to get the right people in as short a time as possible. She did not disappoint. The pictures and posting of my house were excellent and 3 weeks after posting the house there were tenants moving in! I couldn’t be happier. Throughout our time working to get the house leased, Cindy was always available to answer questions and offer advice no matter the day/time I reached out. I would recommend Cindy to anyone!
