Edit 6/1/18: After not being in for over a month due to the flu, I came in to have Holly do my nails and saw a sign reading “under new management.” I signed in and waited a few minutes (two customers were being worked on) but had to leave due to a personal situation. However, I am very disappointed that Holly was not there. I will go back and give it a chance, but I have a feeling I may have to go elsewhere.Review from 5/1/18: This is the only nail salon I will go to in Chesapeake. Since moving here in July 2016, I have tried all of the nail salons on Cedar and the surrounding areas. Most of them rush, use inferior products, charge too much, or have dirty or strange things afoot (one guy had DOG beds in the pedicure baths!). However, at Ken Nails, Holly takes her time to get your nails right, and the entire staff is professional. They have an impeccably clean salon, too.

Just came to VA on a road job from ct. Working in the shipyard. Broke 2 nails already and needed them fixed for my weekend off with my man. Took a chance on Kens Nails because they had great reviews. So glad I did. Literally just walked out of there. Holly was so nice and informative. Got powder gel and mood change shellac. Love the way they change colors and look ombre. She was really sweet and took her time to make sure I liked them as we went along. Give this place a try and you wont regret it .

Came to get my nails done around thanksgiving with some girlfriends and my foot started itching after getting a pedicure. It’s now january and my foot still itches. Luckily my friends didn’t have this issue though

I was there on Mothers Day and was immediately served, the pedicure and the manicure went fine, until I checked my feet and Daniel did a half way job on scaling the dead skin, I pointed out the fact that he didnt do a complete job. He thought by putting some oil on my heels that would be satisfactory, it wasnt. I told him that my heels needed to be fixed, granted my toes were already polished. He had appointment waiting for him, and he saw that I wasnt leaving until the my feet were scaled. He finally understood and told me he would get to me but he needed to start his appointment, I said, fine, but I dont want to be here for 2 hours more. Hedid finally scale my heels and finally did a better job. It is just best to do it right the first time, and ask the customer no matter what shade their skin color is, I will return, but it will be awhile. Need more work on customer satisfaction.

My first time here and i was very impressed. This salon is very professional and polite. They are so beautiful and they stayed late to ensure perfection. The customer service from everyone was above and beyond amazing. Im looking forward to continuing to frequent!

Vis is Tinas husband, he is very funny so customers like and always talk to him. Lanna, Tina and Kelly are good at manicures and pedicures. Make an appointment because Tina and Kelly are always busy. Yen is an excellent massage technician. She is strong and the male customer loves it.

This is a very nice place to do your nails! My nail tech did a fabulous job and they are just what I wanted!!! They is Extraordinary with her work and the pride they puts in to!!! Its extremely clean. Will come again

My husband went online and found great reviews here. She Is very friendly & flexible! & their main focus was my pleasure and contentment. pleasant environment and space clean and well maintained. Next time I might even use their toesmanicures services. And I HAD an amazing pedis.

This place is the only place anyone should go to get their nails done in Chesapeake. They are EXCELLENT. The service is great, the people are friendly and helpful, and they do an amazing job. I dont normally get my nails done regularly because it was always a special event thing for me. But once I was recommended to go here and saw what an amazing job they did, I cant stop going. I am now a regular and go in for manicures and pedicures regularly. Ken is phenomenal at what he does. Every time I have gone in to get my nails filled I have come out happier and happier each time. He listens to you and does what you ask. I get acrylic nails done because my natural nails are real brittle. He knows what I like and makes them look so natural no one would believe they werent my real nails. Kathy (his wife) is also great and does a great job. They are both so friendly and make sure youre always comfortable and happy. You definitely get your moneys worth and I have never left unsatisfied. I will continue to go here for all my beauty needs and I recommend everyone else to as well. Great business.

By far the best nail place Ive found in the area. Holly is AMAZING! I showed her a picture I liked from Pinterest and she copied it exactly! She was friendly as was everyone else in the salon. By far the best shaped nails Ive ever gotten and amazing nail art!

The worst nail experience. This is the second time I came here, and the last time, she didnt understand me and she was so sloppy, ruined my toenails. Dont waste your money!

Theyve remodeled and have new chairs. Its pretty nice. Equipment is sterilized. They played relaxing music while providing services.

So disappointed, Ive been going here since they took ownership and have always been happy with the service. I went this past Thursday only to find that the salon is under New Management, the 3rd turnover since a nail salon has opened at this location ... going to look for a more established nail salon ... the convenience of the location is not working to my favor.

Dont waste your time coming here. The selection of nail Polish isnt the greatest not to mention most of it is old and dried out. As I sit here in the chair right now theyre adding loads of acetone just to keep it from clumping. Not the greatest place at all. Their waxing station is a joke too. After I finish up here Im going straight to another salon to do my manicure and brows.

They over charged. The website said it would be $25.00, even with a French, it should only be $10.00 dollars more, which I expected. It was a total of $45.00 that is totally unacceptable. I will never go back. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

**good for eye brow waxing NOT PEDICURES** I normally always go to Ken Nails for my eye brows, their location is convenient and the do a good job, but recently I got my first pedicure there and was extremely dissatisfied. The woman who helped me kept diging at my toe as if there was something there and it hurt! She kept going for several minutes and I felt uncomfortable saying anything. Then after I thought she was done and we got to the relaxing part she went back again and kept picking! It was one of the worst pedicures ive had. THEN one of my other toe nails felt like it was going to fall off in my work shoe the next day! Ive had toe nails fall off before and I thought for sure this one was a gonner. Even though it didnt fall off I couldnt wear my normal work shoes for three days and when I finally was able to come in to explain this nightmare to the manager, he refused any refund or compensation. There was NO APOLOGY and I basically had to beg for a discount on my next visit. It was pathetic. I hope its a pretty good discount or Im taking my business somewhere else from now on!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Great attitude, wonderful service, and the nail polish really lasts.

Came in for a pedicure and waited for 40ish mins (with multiple employees telling me it would only be 3 more mins wait). I noticed that customers did not each have their own nail tech (they were switching back and forth between customers, like one of the reviewers above mentioned). Finally they had a spot for me, but no nail techs left (since most had 2 or more customers already). Gave up! Tried Lady Nails down the street. They were awesome, should have just gone there from the start!!!

Well they were a bit overwhelmed because they are under staffed but I gave them a chance because their new, didnt do a bad job, but it couldve been better, I will give them a second Chance, their trying!!
