Had to take my 15 year old chihuahua on a Saturday to Blue Pearl Emergency Vet because he was in dire straits. He was suffering and the vets put him out of his misery. They were most professional and comforting to me as I was gutted. They handled all the arrangements for final care through The Pet Loss Center. I could not have chosen a better array of memorization for my most precious Tito.

There arent words to express how much I appreciate and love this business. I recently was faced with putting both of my babies to rest. They could not have been cared for better. The beautiful quality of their package and the items to remember them with (to include seeds to plant in their honor). If you are facing these hard moments, I wouldnt trust anyone else. This was one of the best possible experiences considering the situation. One employee in particular deserves ALL of the credit. Jessica went above and beyond to help make sure we could memorialize my moms cat exactly like my mom needed. I wanted everything to be perfect because that cat meant everything to my mom. The one urn my mom had her heart set on was out of stock and Jessica went above and beyond to help me get it. She called the company to see if they could get more and even physically checked their on hand stock. She called me back to follow up and was incredibly patient when I didn’t have some of the answer immediately as far as colors of the urn or engraving and told me to take my time and I could always get back to her. My mother was incredibly nervous about not getting her cat back and I asked Jessica if she could help reassure her that it would indeed be her cat. Without hesitation she brought out a little tag and paper and explained to my mom how everything would stay present with the cat from start to finish to ensure the correct pets go home with their owners. I searched for a good bit for a cremation place and I am so glad I chose this one. Jessica is an exceptional employee and if everyone there is like her I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The way they packaged everything together was very sweet and couldn’t have been better. I appreciate Jessica and the pet loss center for helping us through this difficult time.

We have just received our cat ( Harry Potter) back home. I was so touched by your thoughtfulness in all the touches that you did to remember him by. You touched our hearts will all your special gifts. I am so glad our vet used your company. You kindness was helpful to something so sad for us. Lenny came back home to us yesterday. Thank you for taking wonderful care of our baby. Our three other kitties all sat around him, sniffed him, and took their time as they recognized his smell, thanks to the touching keepsakes you provided. My best friend of 15 years just recently passed away and The Pet Loss center took such special care of my baby after his passing. Chad And his staff made everything very easy for me during such a difficult time. Everyone that helped me at the center truly showed so much compassion, understanding and love for my companion. I can’t express enough how thoughtful, kind and compassionate Chad and the team over at The Pet Loss Center have been when We recently lost our 15 year old pup Auri. When you need your animal companions final preparations done with the same love you gave them during their time with you The Pet Loss Center will give them the quality professional care that you want them to have. The facility is clean, beautiful and they are always ready in your time of need.

UPDATE:I added another star to my rating due to JT reaching out and offering a blanket featuring my cats pictures. We were able to memorialize him that way and it was a really nice gesture. JT did a fantastic job as far as customer relations. However, I have since seen a friends clay paw print of their polydactyl cat which was done by another cremation service outside of VA. Theirs was done correctly, with the thumb impression, so I stand by the fact that it could have and should have been done this way with mine.My heart broke all over again when I looked at the paw impression that was sent to me with the remains of my polydactyl cat. His thumbs, which are so important to my husband and I, were not included in the impression. When I called and asked why, they explained that the impression is normally taken of the back paw. While this is understandable, I do not feel like my cats special trait was honored. PLEASE check cats for this trait in the future and contact your clients before cremation to ensure they get what they need for closure and comfort.

We lost our boy while on vacation, and despite shipping difficulties (through no fault of their own) the pet loss center got him home to us safely. We are grateful for their compassion.

My beloved dog Molly passed away suddenly while we were on vacation. This happened on a Saturday evening so we were beside ourselves about what to do. After numerous calls, we finally were referred to this facility. They were very caring & compassionate. When we picked up her ashes I was truly amazed at how thoughtful they were. Not only was she placed in a personalized box, but they had made a paw print keepsake and even clipped some of her fur. I hadnt thought about sound any of this but was very greatful they did it. I cant say enough about how comforting it was knowing Molly was so well taken care of.

I am so impressed by the care and love that is shown to the fur babies and their families. Each pet is treated with dignity, honor and respect from the moment a pet comes into their care. The staff are warm and kind and, ready to help families through their time of loss. This is a wonder place to memorialize your sweet fur baby.

Bad communication skills at this place. I had my cat cremated and they would tell me for a week they were waiting on parts for the machines. They told me my cat was done and they would transport her back to the vet and they never did for a day and a half. Did not have a good experience here.

I so wish I didnt have to be writing this review because it means our dear friend is truly gone, but the Pet Loss Center made our grieving process calm and peaceful. We lost our boy unexpectedly while out of town, and it was a shock since he was only 5. We asked the person caring for our pet to choose the place that he felt treated him best over the phone and so he chose the PLC. When we returned the next day, Chad was waiting for our visit. He took such great care of our boy and made us feel cared for during this time. He was more than a professional, he was someone who really felt the importance of what he does. Thanks to our experience we were able to have the best closure possible given the circumstances. Thank you to Chad and the PLC team.

Chad, Jim and Meghan at the Pet Loss Center in Chesapeake, VA made it as comfortable as they could for us with the sudden loss of our boy Liam. They helped our family through the toughest time we have ever experienced. Our little Lammy was our love and dear. He was part of our everyday life in every way. No one ever wants to think about this day, but we were grateful to have Lammy in our arms as he passed. On his favorite couch, on his favorite blanket. Knowing he was loved. God took him on His own time. And thats how Lammy would have wanted it.The Pet Loss Center was so accommodating with letting us have our lasting memory with him in the grieving room. We brought our little buddy home within a few days and placed him in our urn. We just want to let Chad, Jim and Meghan know how much you made a sad situation feel so comforted and loved. Our French Mastiff was diagnosed with end stage Lymphoma. They were wonderful and compassionate. I would highly recommend this company.

Our beloved Casey passed away suddenly on Christmas Day. The compassion that was expressed thru the presentation of his ashes when I received them tells me that he was handled with tenderness.
