First appointment went great. It was a smooth transition to speak with a new doctor and then schedule a follow up in two weeks for a counselor. However, the day of my follow up they call me to say the counselor isn’t in and I will have to wait another 3 weeks for a follow up!! That’s ridiculous, especially when it’s concerning my mental health!! I will not be back!
Pretty chill place. About average on the doctor wait time. Make sure you have an appointment because they are not a walk in clinic. No exceptions, which imo is a good aspect because it means your appointment wont be pushed back another month because someone had some wedding or a sick turtle or something.
I went to see Skylar DeRight for an IUD insertion and, unfortunately, couldn’t get it done due to miscommunication with my insurance, but Skylar was wonderful. The receptionist, medical assistant, and nurse I saw were all so kind, professional, and respectful. I saw some negative reviews on here and was worried initially, but it was an excellent experience. Skylar went ahead and gave me my annual exam and she was very informative with every question I had. Every employee at Cherokee Health was so sweet and helpful and I would recommend this office to anyone!
The worst place to go. Was referred there. Came to the appointment and was told the nurse was out. Rescheduled came the second time and the lady said oh you are gonna hate me but.... um yeh the nurse is out again. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend this place.
The doctors and staff here take care of all of my needs. Its an efficient system. I came in for a regular psych appointment, and was suffereng from a cold. I was immediately referred and given an appointment to see someone about my cough, same day, same office. Its fully integrated care. The doctors share notes and stay up to date. I love it.On top of that, the psychiatric care is excellent.
Very flexible. Awesome staff. Love how great they are with my daughter... 1 stop shop.
Best service
With respect to the care Ive received at Cherokee Health Systems Chattanooga, I couldnt be happier. Its without a doubt the finest and most thorough care Ive received anywhere. The facility is spotlessly clean, and the providers at Cherokee are courteous, respectful, professional, and most importantly, nonjudgmental. It has been my experience that they take a genuine interest in patients and often go beyond the call of duty to provide needed care.Additionally, I have found Cherokee to be extremely efficient. After arriving for an appointment, I dont think Ive ever waited longer than 10 or 15 minutes to be seen. Thats hard to beat. I dont think you can do better than Cherokee.
I was so pleased with my experience at Cherokee Health! I was understandably anxious about getting my lady parts examined but my nurse practictioner, Skylar, was super straight forward and explained things so well. She gave me helpful tips and advice and suggested several options for moving forward! Thanks Skylar! You are the best!
.I’m rarely sick....always had good Health....was dreading seeing a medical provider and /or being in a clinic....have heard from friends horror stories about not finding good health care.....well....I guess I am a very lucky person....made appt with an NP (L. Green) and she was the kindest most professional NP I have met in a long time (I have met many in my 27 years of being one myself)...from the front desk clerk to nurses and phlebotomists...all very sweet n professional....all in all ...a good experience..huge thanks to all the staff at the “Cherokee Health Clinic” in Chattanooga, TN.
Its a good environment with a great selection of doctors.
My doctor retired and I was told to try Cherokee, worst choice ever. I have had appointment for 2 weeks. Came in 3 days ahead of appointment to fill out paperwork they lost it. Showed up today cause I’m out of medicine. They can’t treat me so now I’m gonna go without meds until I can find a dr to take me.
Skylar Deright inserted my IUD less than 10 months ago and now I am 6 weeks pregnant. She inserted it incorrectly and it fell out of my body without me ever realizing. After finding out, I called and told the receptionist I was pregnant with an IUD in me and she told me Skylar was booked for months out. They did nothing to help correct Skylars careless, irresponsible mistake. It wasnt until I made an appointment with a new OBGYN that I found out during an ultrasound that the IUD Skylar had inserted was straight up gone.
Skylar and everyone else that cared for me here went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable with everything. Im moving from an hour and a half from Chattanooga but will make the drive for future appointments because of the wonderful care I received here.
I love them trust them and wouldnt go for physical or mental care anywhere else
I guess it’s adequatecare if you’re insured by the state, but if you have insurance, don’t go here because they are out of everyone’s network. Just love being told my withdrawals from a medicine are unsubstantiated
The OB/GYN nurse practitioner, Skylar, will condescend to you, interrupt you constantly, and be dishonest (or ignorant) about medication side effects. Skylar, I suggest you revisit your pharmacology notes, as you didnt know some of the most basic and common side effects of OCs. I also suggest you listen to your patients concerns without the level of uncaring arrogance you displayed.
Cherokee is a life life for me and my son. I deeply appreciate their team centered approach to caring for our needs and solving problems.
Skylar is an amazing gyn. Couldnt be happier with my care
Great service and amazing staff and doctors are amazing
I have been there two times. Both times they told me the wrong appointment time. The receptionists over the phone was incompetent and clearly didnt care about helping me. The obgyn nurse assistant was snotty and rude. I could even hear her trash talking me as a patient outside my exam room door. I would never go back. I found the entire experience extremely unprofessionalism and since i was there for an gyno exam, it made me very uncomfortable to be vulnerable.
My mother received the worse care from Laura Green yesterday and I want to warn anyone that has an upcoming appointment with her to choose another healthcare provider. She was referred to Laura Green from another hospital. When Green walked into the room, her first words to my mother were “huh, I didn’t know you were African American, your driver’s license picture doesn’t match you”. She told my mother that her results would take about a week or two because she’s a “charity case”. The nurse that assisted her ran 4 minutes late from lunch and as she entered the room, Green proceeded to reprimand and feud with the nurse in front of my mother. Green then proceeded to discuss the difference between a thyroid issues versus a fibroid issue. My mother repeated what Green said for clarification and she must have mispronounced the words. Green then told her well, you either have a thyroid issue, fibroid issue, or a speech issue. She then suggested that my mother take speech classes. This women should have her license taken away for discrimination, blatant disrespect, and her unwillingness to help people who are not of her skin color. I have contacted the office on McCallie Avenue and am awaiting a returned call.
Very professional and very very very clean
Good till now
Bullshit dr and nurses
