In one application Truegreen managed to kill the grass and leave the weeds in my back yard. Im devastated. If you read the reviews, this has happened to others as well. I want a manager to call immediately and make this right before I call my lawyer.A better, healthier lawn is on its way. We guarantee it.This is your promise.....youve been servicing my lawn since February and it looks worse now than ever.My neighbors lawns look better than mine, and they dont even treat their lawns.

I submitted for a customized lawn price on Tuesday to which I was called almost immediately after. Since I am in a new construction they couldnt locate the property via satellite to do their quoting process. I was told that someone would call to schedule an in person quote of my lawn within 2 days. Its now the following Monday and Im still without a call to set up an in person. Dont plan on using TruGreen as other companies have already been out to quote me and discuss my options.

I have had Trugreen for last 3 years now. My yard could not have been any worse than it is now despite signing up for multiple services.Dead grass after lawn service. Lots and lots of weed. It feels like they don’t just care. No body picks phone calls.

We were on our second year using Trugreen out of Chattanooga. We paid for the year in advance for weed control, mosquito and shrub services. Our 1st year we were very pleased and our yard was looking good. This year they skipped several weed control treatments and when we called to inquire what was going on they promised they would get someone out to correct the issue. Well a week went by and nothing. We contacted them again and they couldnt say when someone might come so we told them to cancel our service. We really believe that they didnt want to come to our location because maybe it was too far out. All they had to do was say so. Then evidently our refund was changed by the local general manager, so not only did they short us on our refund (granted it wasnt a lot of money but still frustrating) our yard is now overrun with weeds thanks to the company that was supposed to eliminate them!!!! Evidently this company does not care one iota about their customers!

TruGreens local numbers are not answered by people that know anything concerning grass at all. They serviced my yard and killed 1/2 of my grass. They blamed it on ARMY Worms. Funny how they ate the grass and left the weeds and that is after they serviced my yard two weeks before and applied a product to kill these pests. I requested a manager to contact me and that has not been done. Canceled an aeration job only to have them arrive and tear up my freshly installed sod .They continually arrive at my house and do as little as possible. They have serviced my yard in 5 minutes before. They do not care about providing customer service or calling customers back when they have concerns. The time my sod was ripped up they called three days later. Just a poor company to do business with.

They routinely canvas my neighborhood door to door trying to drum up sales. Their salespeople have been doing so without wearing masks throughout the course of the pandemic. Ive called and been placed on the do not call/text/door knock list multiple times, and yet every few weeks I have a salesperson ringing a doorbell without wearing a mask. Im not in the market for lawn are services, but if I were, the company that shows that kind of callous disregard for the health and safety of their workforce and their potential customers is the last company Id choose.

Hiring Trugreen has been one of the biggest mistake that we could have made. It has been a poor experience from the start. I have uploaded a few photos with time stamps to show some before and after photos after trugreen treated our yard. After literally killing our grass, we scheduled to have someone come take a look at our yard to fix the damages. I received a text message 3 days later from a tech saying he had another tech take photos of our yard while he was in area, and that the yard would be fine with watering it. Obviously just water this is not going to fix my yard. My wife and I were both home that day and no tech came by our house (let alone if the tech was in the area why wouldnt he just address the issue then?). After that I have had 4 different account manager call me, but not a manager that I requested on the very first phone call. When I ask to be transferred to the local manager they say they have to put in a request, and the manager will reach out to me.I have never been so disappointed in hiring a company in my life. We just spent thousands of dollars to replace our landscaping in our new home, and now we have to look at that yard every day. I would highly recommend to not use Trugreen if you care the slightest bit about your yard, but if youre looking for your yard to turn into a mud pit, then theyre the perfect company for you.

Completely lied about their services. They said they had completed my service. However they didn’t realize I was home and had 5 security cameras going. They text saying they were at the house and left in 8 minutes on a yard that takes them 30 minimum. Called and they still say they did the service. This is not the first time they have lied. How many people without cameras do they cheat out of money?

They didn’t show up in July, so they came in August and charged me double to make up their lost income. They did a shoddy job and now my lawn has brown and yellow spots in it. Customer service is a bunch of associates answering the phones at home. The manager, Bradley Todd, is unresponsive. I’ve been leaving messages for days and no one has called back. I am getting rid of these people and hiring someone who knows how to do their job, and actually cares about their customers!

We cant say enough good things about TruGreen Lawn Care service, in a short period of time, they have transformed our yard from a weed infested mess to a thick green lawn that our family and neighbors really appreciate. The service is outstanding, and they will keep coming back under their free retreat policy for the hard to kill weeds (e.g. wild violets) that nobody else gets. Professional staff as well who are really willing to work with your budget and situation to provide best service they can. We highly recommend this company. (FYI - they also do mosquito treatment which makes a huge difference in actually being able to get outside and enjoy the yard without getting bitten to pieces.)

3 yrs of service and still have Dallas grass, and Crab Grass Problem. They cant seem to get it killed. Front yard looks great for most part. Backyard is another story. Attempts made after year 1 ( I wanted to give them a chance) to get this fixed. Nothing seems to work and Upper management will not respond to calls. I have to call back after almost every service to get a retreatment due to this problem, but yet still nothing changes.

Horrible in virtually every aspect. No visible results on lawn or shrubs, in fact it appears to have further deteriorated. I discussed their poor performance with them over a year ago and mistakenly agreed to give them another chance. Im writing this as I wait on hold to fire them. Of course, at 12 minute wait mark, it says will be 30 to 45 minute wait. Its like a bad joke. After 15:21 (min:sec) it hung up... (I know this is unbelievable but its all true). The recording just called back continuing the wait message, wow.

Scheduled an army worm service via the chat on web site. The person handling it scheduled it for today. They did not show up so I contacted the local TruGreen rep. She said it was never put on the schedule for my yard, so the web chat person obviously did not follow through on his commitment per our conversation. I guess I should have came here and read the reviews before hiring TruGreen.The pre-emergent they used did nothing to the weeds in our grass. That was the first problem.Our representative, Elijah Pauley, came out a few days after our first service. After walking around our property he mentioned he would send the truck back out again in two weeks. Said it was “on him” when they come. Well, they never did. That’s fine. We don’t want or need anything free. All we want is for people and or businesses to do what they say.We called to cancel the service today and all we got was attitude from Elijah. Do your job kid. Do what you say you’ll do. Treat CUSTOMERS with respect! It’s that simple. He is definitely unqualified for the position he is in.Go to your local Ace hardware store and talk with them. They will tell exactly what you need to put in your yard and when the best time is.Do not use falsegreen!!!

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! They fail to properly communicate; every person you talk to tells you something different! Some of the people who come out to apply do NOT do the job. Every single month I have had to call and complain for one reason or another. Granted, they do provide free re-apply, but I should not have to call every month for something that isnt right. It has been WAY more aggravation than it has been worth! I will never do this again!

UPDATE: I wrote much of this review in June 2020. Today, our money has to go further, so, who has time for poor service and poor products? Its now almost September and my yard did not improve and the service GOT WORSE. Here this: True Green, YOURE FIRED!I am a new client and I had a service call today and the guy simply got out of his truck, placed a note on my door with the service provided. The thing is I was home and NEVER saw anyone in the yard. I went outside just as he was getting in his truck...called him over and he didnt even know why he was called to come out to my house. I called last week about seeding and was told that True Green only uses one type of seed (not the kind of grass in my yard), yet, today the True Green professional said they did. So, I called my local branch (heads up you cant call a local branch...all calls are routed to a call center). I was told I could have the proper seeding done but they couldnt add it or price it. Interesting, because when I signed up...everything was fine. Now I am supposed to wait on a call from someone to help with the issue.I am skeptical that they are actually doing the whole yard...I never see them and I work from a home office and can see my entire yard.

The local company I was using did an amazing job keeping my fescue beautiful and envied by neighbors, unfortunately they were bought-out by Tru Green. I had my doubts because I had used the company yrs before and was dissatisfied but decided to give them a chance. Big mistake. But if you want grass seed spread in flower beds, large patches of moss, violet weeds, centipede grass choking out fescue, and ground cover killed by the tech who thought it was weeds....sign up.

Terrible customer service. Got the mosquito treatment on 9/13/19 that was a Friday. I waited till the following Monday to call and let them know it didnt work and that my son had been bitten multiple times (over 10). I was informed it was a law that they couldnt spray but every 7 days. I dont know if its an actual law or not cause other mosquito companys have came and sprayed again before 7 days. I was told they would come the next Friday 9/20/19 and they did not come. I then had to call again and see what the problem was. I didnt really get an explanation just told they would come on 9/25/19 which they did not come. My husband called today and they had no explanation and they guy he talked to said the techs dont work on Fridays but that is the day we got our first service. I just want to get what I paid for so we can actually go outside and enjoy our porch. They didnt even spray the whole yard the first time they came out. I have a small yard barely an acre its sad that they cant do any better then that. I just want to be able to enjoy the porch we built this year.

Trugreens advantages include great customer communication, advance notification of when they are coming, their policy of coming back out at no charge between scheduled services if you request it, and a really good website to review and manage services and pay bills online. They are not the lowest cost provider, and their yard maintenance in terms of effective weed management and aeration and overseeding are fair to good at best, but their mosquito and total defense yard pest control program have been outstanding.

Ughhh..even trying to get an understanding of specific services for my yard was frustrating. There is no way to contact a local office (?) and none of the three customer service people I talked to could help me. One even said Ive got a number you can call. I thanked him, and discovered the number was for homeadvisor.com. In a way Im grateful for the poor service PRIOR to becoming a client (more so now that Ive read the reviews).

Beware before letting these folks on your property. They oversell and underdeliver. This our second summer of using their service...the promised two years to a lush, green lawn. Not a chance. I’m convinced they actually killed my lawn this year. Find a local company...that what I’ll be doing.

My issue was I had sold my home and thought I had cancelled my service. This communication did not get to the service team and I was charged with services I had cancelled. On line, it showed no charges. After at least three separate calls, somebody sent me documentation that services occurred. I paid it, but I feel abused. The original service provider, the Grass is Greener, had been bought out by TruGreen.

This company continues to disappoint! It’s always up to me to ID problems and issues for both lawn and shrubs instead of them finding and solving them. Have called now 3 times to get application of fungicide to lawn! Getting a supervisor involved makes no difference! We’ve had this service for a couple of years and my back lawn is a sea of weeds and bare spots. Definitely canceling this service...a TOTAL WASTE of money.

No issues with service, product, or performance. As advertised. My issue is with the relentless up-selling of additional products. About once a month I was getting a call telling me how urgent an additional service was and once a packet of dead something was left on the front porch in a baggy noting the urgency of additional services. If I feel I need something, I will ask for it.

I never saw or talked with the technician. When I called Tregreen to ask, they said to follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, they cannot knock on my door. I asked the technician to call me on the cell phone on his arrival. The company said no. He cannot use his person cell phone and he does not have a company issued cell phone. Since I cannot see the evidence of the service on the trees or shrubs, the only thing I can see is an invoice on my door and an update on my account. But my last request for re-service did not even have those, despite the automatic notification a day prior to the scheduled service. When I called to inquire three days later, the office said the service had not been provided, maybe the technician had some emergency. But if that is the case, why did Truegreen not notify me? Every time I called, the person I talked to would apologize PROFUSELY, every two seconds, and would enter my requests and complaints on my account. But they were NEVER addressed. To this day, TG still calls my home phone instead of my cell phone and still refuses to knock on my door and step back as far as he wants. Once I sent an email to the company to complaint, and the they responded by offering a free re-service, which is included in the contract anyway. Besides, whats the value of an offer if the service is not actually given? Talking to them is like talking to a stone wall. Once they got your money, they will not do anything for you besides proving lip service.

VERY poor customer service, this company either needs to re-train the employees they have now or fire everyone of them and start over. No company should call their customers three to four times a week. After you talk to the customer, it should be noted in the computer that the customer has been spoken to, I seriously do not think any of their customer service people know how to use a computer. I had another company here in town and I had a problem a few times so I called Trugreen and that was a horrible mistake. I asked them to come and give me a quote and the woman said she had a visual of my property so there was no reason they would have to come out.Well I don’t know who’s yard she was looking at but it sure wasn’t mine. They came out and sprayed in one place and not the rest of my yard. I called them and told them about what he had done/or not done and she said she would get him to come back, I asked her to have him be sure he talks to me, but he never came back. I called the company I was with before and told them I was sorry and could I start back with them and the girl was so sweet.A friend of mine apparently had had them and she said I wish you would have told me you were going to call me and I would have told you not to waste your time as they were awful. I usually don’t give reviews but I thought maybe others need to know what they are spending their money on. Not good.

We have messed with TruGreen for over a year and our yard is still full of bare spots. Last Summer, they came out and sprayed something on our grass and KILLED it ALL! I had nothing but mud in my yard until late Spring when the crab grass started coming back up. We called and called and they always said they would fix it. We had the same experience as many others here: I actually saw the guy come out and do nothing but go from his van to our door to insert a bill! It listed the services provided and he did not provide any service. Our yard is full of bare spaces and after cancelling our service they promised to make it right, but have not. They rarely show up and when they did this last time, after my husband complained and threatened to cancel again, they show up with a huge aeration machine that he could not get into the yard (we have a very small yard with steps that lead up to it). My husband cancelled again and they called to find out why. They are laughable if it were not that they are charging people a LOT of money for nothing! My advice: DO NOT use TruGreen! You would be better off to get the stuff and do it yourself. And TRUGREEN: Please do not say that you would like to make it right or ask me to reach out to you again! We have done that multiple times and still got the worst service!

I had this service for a while, then I went with another company. FOR THREE YEARS, Ive been asking to be put on a do not call list, and they KEEP CALLING. This is bordering on harassment. Ive had to file complaints against them with the FCC and the Better Business Bureau. They will not leave me alone!!

3 no shows and no call except 7/17/20 text that could not treat.due to dog in yard. Company made aware up front that I would make arrangements for dog to be put inside or outside pen. I have spent time making sure I was at home during the two 6 hour windows of time to arrive, as well as home during yesterdays 4 hour window. I received a text stating couldnt provide service due to dog in back yard. Covid may prevent going to a door, but office could have contacted me that employee was at my home, although I heard and saw nothing to indicate anyone in my driveway. A complaint was attempted to be submitted on TruGreen app, but cannot guarantee jt went through. Telephone call to company today only resulted in yet another scheduled day to be set up. There has got to be a solution to this problem.

I honestly never leave bad reviews but can’t believe the poor quality of service we have received from this company. From services that we were charged for that never actually happened to the rabbit hole that is their customer service. Our yard has been absolutely beautiful and is now burned out and full of weeds. We are so disappointed in this company.

Booked Trugreen and prepaid for a year of service. You better watch them close, as I am sure they cut corners and dont do everything that they are supposed to do. After one year my weeds are all flourishing, but all my grass is dead. Would not recommend.

I will never use them again, they charged us for air raiding our yard with seeding at same time and the air raiding didn’t work, did not make one hole in our yard. When I called to complain they came back out and the two young men said our yard can’t be air raided. They wouldn’t give us our money back!!! So I canceled all services with them. Now they call every day sometimes twice a day which now I told them this is harassment!!!! They just don’t stop. I don’t recommend they for how much they harass you. Told them to remove my number and they still won’t. Don’t sign up with them because if you cancel they won’t leave you a lone.

I called 3 years ago to inquire about some work, I decided not to go with Trugreen because of the contract. Since then I get around 1 phone call a week from them wanting to come do some yard work. Every time I ask to be taken off of there call list and it never happens. They are extremely rude, they hang up on me, they’ve called multiple times in one day before. Every time they call it’s from a different number so you can’t even block them. If you are not absolutely certain about needing work done do not give them your phone number. I’ve since gotten yard work done by another local company because after the ridiculousness of there phone calls I would never give them my business. I don’t know if there service is good or not nor do I know if the relentless phone calls are from the Chattanooga branch or some corporate office. I’m just hoping to never receive there phone calls again.

I have only been a customer for a few months. The first visit went well and some weeds were killed. Had to call TruGreen back for weeds that were missed. On the second visit the technician applied weed killer again but several areas were missed. I am not sure why no weed killer was applied to these areas. Hopefully when they return these areas will be taken care of and I will be able to give a more precise review.

I live in the Chattanooga, TN area, and I have used TruGreen for several years. My front and side yards always look great, but my backyard has always suffered. I just assumed it was because there were a couple of large trees in the back. Last year, I just happened to be pulling out of my driveway when the service tech pulled up, so I got out and talked to him about my yard. As soon as he saw the backyard, he immediately told me that it hasnt been treated. I was stunned! He had the local manager call me, and I met him at the house, and was told that he would make sure his techs sprayed the entire yard. There havent been any improvements since, so I met with the local sales rep a couple months ago, and he also told me that the backyard didnt appear to have been treated. He told me that he would talk to the local manager and see what could be done to make it up to me. I suggested as a starter, that they could aerate my yard at no charge (which I normally do myself), but I have yet to hear from them. When I call TruGreen, everyone seems sympathetic, but nothing ever seems to be getting resolved. I always pay in advance, and I just wish they would perform the services they have been paid for. The way I look at it, they have performed about 50% of what I have paid them all these years. I guess its time to look at their competition.

I prepaid the entire year for their lawn and mosquitoes defense. The first time they came out and did the lawn, they did what was discussed and paid for. Since then 3 services later, I am home when they come. I notice the guy only does the front lawn and leaves. He was here less than 10 minutes from the time he pulled up to the house. I called the company who said they would text their guy and get him back out. He knocks on my door, contract in hand, and says you paid for 2000 sq ft. Nowhere in my paperwork does it read this. Needless to say, contract cancelled immediately. They should go back to their recorded sale on the phone. They have been ripping me off all along. Very dishonest company. Do not recommend them.

Do not use this company. They do not do a good job on the lawn and most techs show up and are gone within 5 minutes. Weeds got worse in my back yard while they were treating my lawns. I also had a rental that I put on my account and when I cancelled the account, they kept it active so that I would run up a bill. I started receiving collection letters in February for a service I cancelled back in Oct/Nov. I had spent multiple phone calls addressing the fact that I had 2 accounts even though it was supposedly fixed multiple times. The best part is after costing me over $300 and wasted time on the phone, they still call me occasionally asking if they can put me down for service. They always say there is someone new over the account in this area and things are going to be right this time. I will never use them again, not even for free.

This one was a mistake on my part. I didn’t look at any.Read about their treatments. First visit speaks of climate, soil, grass type, weed analysis. Personalized care.I have a camera system. The guy came out, hung his card in my door, walked back to his truck and got the hose out and started spraying. About took a plant out in the process. From pull-up to pull-out was less than 9 minutes. Never saw any “analysis”Only then did I start to read the reviews. Oops!Anyway, I called them back. After waiting 20 mins the call was dropped.Called back and accidentally hit the sales dept. I was answered in less than one minute. Explained my issue to her and was told it was the wrong dept. so she’d transfer me. Again I waited another 20+ mins. They’re really good at snagging customers I guess but once you’re in you fall back in the priority line. Even the company’s reply to negative reviews Are mostly done in a “copy, add name, and paste“ approach.After that I was done. Canceled my service. Upon reading the reviews it seems they hassle the heck outta you after canceling so if that happens I’ll update this review.Nothing in my yards health has changed for the better BUT it’s been only 4 days so I don’t really wanna bash the treatments until ample time has been given.Again the first initial visit is when you’re supposed to be in an “impress the customer” mode. Used TheGrassisGreenerLawncare prior to their being purchased by TruGreen. When I received the TruGreen lawn treatment, it was not of the same quality and result. In addition, I was also told that my account would just carry over and there was nothing I needed to do other than enjoy TruGreen. Fast forward to them sending me bills for treatment when my former service was set up to be debited and paid without me needing to do anything but enjoy my green and weed free lawn. Now Im getting notices from a collection agency. Ive paid their bill, but wanted to say thanks? for the excellent ruining of the service you took over for a wonderful group of local lawn care professionals. Never again TruGreen. I should have learned my lesson from 13 years ago when I used TruGreen at a former address and had poor service there also. I should have immediately cancelled the service when it was taken over by this less than capable company. Lesson learned is go local and avoid the big companies that could care less about the customer.

Stay away..Horrible customer service, if you are lucky to get connected. Pre-paid for the entire year and yet got bills for individual service. It appears that sales team is eager to sign new customers with scant regard to customer service and follow-up. Big disappointment! I recommend exploring local options instead of TruGreen.

My yard was great until technicians changed this summer.....now it has been hell scheduling and getting back to its previous condition. Super difficult to get a manager on the phone. I played phone tag with one manager 6 times. Just has not been good service and I have been pulling weeds myself...some 10 in diameter

I will NEVER use TruGreen again! I have been trying to get in touch with a manager for 3 weeks now. My sod is dead and what isnt dead is dying. When I call for a local person, I get the call center in Florida! Then, that person schedules a service to fertilize my lawn. IT DOESNT NEED ANY MORE FERTILIZER!!!!! ITS DEAD!!!! I have never in my life seen such horrible customer service. BUYER BEWARE!!! Go somewhere else or do it yourself! Its not worth the headache!

Wow!! Where to begin? We went from yard of the month prior to True Green to one of the worst in the neighborhood. We have witnessed them show up only to hang a bill on the door and leave for treatments that were not rendered. We cannot get them to come look at their negligence. In fact we are currently waiting on a manager who was supposed to be here an hour ago and is no doubt not coming. Do not use this company. They are perpetrating a scam. We were warned but did not listen. We should have.

We live in a subdivision with specific rules about no soliciting yet people from this company continue to show up. Today, one of these reps ringing a doorbell woke up our sleeping one year old. Corporate / local office has been called before but yet its still happening. Its getting absolutely ridiculous. Theres a sign at the entrance and Im assuming the employees are aware of how to read.

Yard has more weeds after 6 month of service than before we started service..called and complained and asked to speak with a manager at our home to take a look together at the problem...no ever calls me back they just show up and add some chemicals to the yard and charges my card that they have on file...I would never suggest using Tru green for you home.

If you need an accurate review, look at all of the 1 star reviews. They are true!I have never experienced a smoke and mirrors company quite like TruGreen. Customer service is less then terrible. The on site technician talks out of both ends of his mouth without saying anything. He is good at telling you things, but doesnt have the knowledge to make them happen My lawn has not improved at all. I was signed up for aeration and overseed and they came out and did it. However, they never gave me advance notice and it hasnt rained in 2 1/2 months to any extent in this area of Tennessee. The ground is like concrete, and they aerated anyway. The area that was aerated and seeded only covered a 3rd of my property. The seeding was totaling missing in at least half of the area that they did do. There isnt a chance in the world that a blade of grass is ever going to grow under those conditions. To go through the motions doesnt mean that you are performing a service that will bring results. TruGreen is to big for the average customer to get quality results. I put the responsibility and accountability solely on the shoulders of Bradley Todd who is the General Manager out of the Chattanooga office. If Mr. Todd has employees that are not performing at peak level every day, its time to clean house. It starts and ends with Mr. Todd. Maybe TruGreen has forgotten how they have gotten so big, and it might be time to review the basics that it took to get that big. My mistake for trusting the name TruGreen.

I have been with TruGreen for over two years since moving to Chattanooga. Even with their lawn care service I get weeds. In July a gentleman from TruGreen, Giovanni stopped by and said our bushes & lawn had a fungal disease and thats why the back lawn was full of crawling weeds that served to kill the grass in the immediate area. He suggested a four-step program. To receive a 10% discount I prepaid $130.20. Now two months later, they only showed up once to spray my bushes, did nothing to the grass. I have called Giovanni twice to register my dissatisfaction and he said he would look into it and get back to me. I sent two emails to the local customer service and have received no response. It is now Sept 23, the time of year when I should have my lawn aerated but I am reluctant because the weeds have not been killed. In summary, TruGreen stole my $130.30 for a four-step program that did not happen and the company did hot have the guts to contact me on my complaint. I have been highly disappointed. Would NEVER recommend.First, my customer rep was very active when getting the service contract set up. He was calling and texting very responsively.... until my check cleared. After that, not a word. I called and tried to find another rep to keep in touch with and was told the 1-800 number is my only option.Second, after the first 4 services, I noticed only 1/3 of my yard was looking pretty good (the front yard). My side yard was still full of weeds and my back yard was looking terrible. I called and they said “well, if it doesn’t look right after 7-10 days call ya back because if we treat again it may harm your yard”. Of course, 10 days later it was still bad... which just means it’s on me again to call. Come to find out, since my wife was home to monitor them on the 5th service, they were not treating my whole yard - only the front. I had a long discussion before agreeing with my rep that it’s the whole yard and I was reaffirmed that YES, the whole yard. My wife spoke with the rep and sure enough the ticket said only the front. I then knew why he was willing to negotiate the price... cuz he was only giving me 1/3 of what he promised.Third, I was supposed to get aeration service. I haven’t seen one dirt plug in my yard all year long. It’s like I have to be there and babysit them to be sure they do what they promise.The only thing that seemed to work decently was the mosquito treatment. I was actually pleased this year. We moved in last year and got eaten up all year. This year, hardly a peep from the mosquitos. Assume it was their service. Unfortunately, summer has extended longer than usual and we have seen quite a few over the last few weeks. Disappointed they didn’t suggest or reach out to extend the service.Overall, we got ripped off for 4 services, customer service has been bad, and no monies or additional services were offered once they were caught not providing the agreed upon service.

After hiring the Grass is Greener they were bought out by Trugreen. Didnt want to work with Trugreen because of past bad experiences with them, but I agreed to give them a chance. After first treatment the only thing doing better were the weeds. So after a couple of weeks I asked them to re-treat. I also told them to have the tech call me before he arrived so I could cover the areas that I had new grass starting to emerge in. This wasnt done and when I came home the yard had been treated. So now after much effort and expense on my part, I will be starting over because they put weed killer on new grass. After calling to complain I found out they were no supervisors, just operators. She stated that she would have to refer this to a customer service rep. After being told they had up to 48 hours to contact me, I insisted that they call me that day. Needless to say, after more than 24 hours and no return call I fired them. This is the problem with these big companies, no customer service! They dont care. A small local business would have responded accordingly to my needs and complaints. I need a company that works with me, not against me. NEVER AGAIN!

Do not give TruGreen Chattanooga a dime of your hard earned money! I get a sales call for pest or something around 8pm last night. Problem number #1. Do not call me with sales pitches at 8pm. I tell the guy on the other end of the phone that I am not interested in his service and before I can even finish declining the additional service offered the guy hangs up up on.I called and canceled my service first thing this morning and I think anyone else who reads this review should do the same. There are plenty of other companies out there that will do the same job or better and have respect for their customers. Unacceptable.

TruGreen Lawn Care has been servicing my lawn for a year. When they began, my yard was a mess, full of weeds. I used bags of Weed N Feed from the big box stores with little success. After the 1st treatment the weeds were in poor health! By the end of the summer, 90% were totally eradicated. I did use their mosquito defense and it was perfect! They treated as necessary and the yard was usable an hour following treatment. Their advance payment plan saved me a few dollars too! All in all, I recommend TruGreen!

Couldnt seem to kill crabgrass from my fescue after multiple trips. Some dead weeds, but majority thriving. How do you spot spray without using a tracking dye? They just flat didn’t spray most of the weeds. Guarantee means nothing unless you are competent. Communication SYSTEM is stellar. Too bad I couldn’t get someone local to address my concerns. One person called and left a message. Then to his credit, emailed me and asked when we might connect. I responded 3 times over a 5 day period and then gave up. This company is uber concerned about performance metrics for employees, more than they are with customer satisfaction. Why else would they have a 2.8 rating? I fired them and began spraying on my own with my back back sprayer and same product ingredients they use (purchase from Home Depot) First try, using a dye so I know what I have sprayed and what I haven’t..... NAILED THE CRABGRASS! I can handle the aeration and overseeding myself as well. Maybe you should consider the same.

Cancelled my service after numerous attempts to allow them to remedy persisting issues. After several months of service, no noticeable change (at all) in my yard. And I had to have them come back several times to get spots that they just missed. I basically threw away $55 a month. Would not recommend.

Should be Tru Rip-off We now have large dead spots where there was grass in past years. Have wild lilacs now and lot of crab grass where we didnt have either. Our backyard has more weeds than grass. Should have known they werent very conscientious when they were told we have a dog so give us notice before they started and they put the sign where we couldnt see it therefore dog was exposed. They ignored my call and text. Recommend you find someone else !!!!!

Dont use this company! Hired them to treat lawn I have had to call them at least 40 times over the course of a year to stay on top of them! Jim is service manager and the area manager wouldnt even call me to discuss numerous problems. I have said over and over again I do not know how they stay in business. My yard is large and guys are lazy and wouldnt treat properly. We have cameras on house which showed us we werent getting what we paid for!

Dissatisfied with their service, they spilled dry fertilizer, and didn’t properly clean it up, so now I have a large burn mark. It took about a month for follow up from supervisor. My wife also stated they seemed to be in a hurry.Improperly trained employees.Do the least possible bit of work.Poor follow up.Save your money, find a local lawn care business to fertilize your lawn or do it yourself.This company just not worth it.

This is absolutely the WORST business I have ever done business with. Giving them one star is an insult to other businesses that received one star. They ask for up front payment for the whole year and never show up. Theyve done this to me twice. The only reason I gave them a second chance is because the salesman told me things were better since they merged with Scotts lawn service. Its still awful. Youre better off saving the money and be happy with your brown yard.

Do NOT use TruGreen. I paid up-front for one year of full service, yet TruGreen began sending me invoices showing a balance due after about 10 months of services. Secondly, after repeated attempts to get a TruGreen rep to come and inspect the terrible shape of my lawn, I decided to discontinue TruGreen’s services. After almost a year of shoddy service, my lawn was mostly weeds – worse than when there was no lawn service at all. Further, I was told on the phone more on more than one occasion that TruGreen had written off the errant invoices, because of my dissatisfaction.Essentially, my situation is all too familiar. A customer pays up-front for an extended period of services and the provider, because there is no incentive to perform at a high level, provides terrible services. Now, TruGreen is trying to collect on the invoices they told me they wrote off. A paltry $123.85. STAY AWAY!
