Love the school atmosphere. During training, students focus on learning, instructors guide students in details. The flow of the class let me feel peaceful and encouraging for deeper discussion. After the class, everyone with happy smile of energetic spirit. Relationship for all members in school just like a big family. I feel this school with the balance of zen and martial art.

Charlottesville Tai Chi Center creates a traditional Martial Arts learning experience right downtown in Cville! Super easy to walk in and start for any age. My mind is calm and focused and my muscles feel both relaxed and strengthened while I practice. Personally, I notice the calm feeling stays with me through out the chaotic day. It really is moving meditation! I highly recommend you give yourself or a loved one a class card as a gift!

I have found the Charlottesville Tai Chi Center and its programs to be welcoming and supportive. The various forms are interesting to learn and wonderfully challenging. Learning them is well worth the effort, leading to healthy outcomes for the mind and body. The schools extensive and flexible class schedule allows me to fit Tai Chi into my busy schedule. I highly recommend CTCC!

Have always had great experiences at Charlottesville Tai Chi Center. Hiromi is a fantastic teacher that gives her students great opportunities and allows them to grow at their own pace. The entire group is very open and nurturing as well. We had to move away and have not yet found a Dojo quite like this one.

Charlottesville Taichi Center has been a huge blessing to our family. It is a friendly and welcoming place for families and I am able to attend classes with my children, which is very helpful for a busy schedule. Both my children and I have enjoyed learning from Sensei Hiromi. Taichi is such a wonderful form of exercise for improving strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. It is excellent for improving focus and has a calming effect on the mind.

Starting Tai Chi is one of the best things I have every done. Sensei Hiromi is a fantastic teacher, having a way to impart information in an easy but very exacting way. I have found Tai Chi has effected all aspects of my life. Better shape, better balance and a clearer mind are just some of the benefits. Also, as a low impact exercise, it has been easy on my very delicate knees. But the best part for me has been the community and family I have found at our dojo. Would not trade these years for anything!

I have learned so much at CTCC and sometimes I am surprised where that learning comes from....could be our Sensei Hiromi, one of the other teachers, or even from another student, relatively new to the dojo. Learning Tai Chi and other forms is a lifelong process and I am completely confident of the quality of the training. I am always happy to step through the door and enter the calm and welcoming atmosphere.

I had very conflict experience at Charlottesville Tai chi Center (CTCC). I enjoyed learning Tai Chi, Hsing-I and Ba Gua, but was troubled by the secretive, manipulative, and cult cultural of CTCC.A simple way to check up on CTCC is to go to their instructor webpage. Several instructors listed there can’t even get basic posture right. Imaging what you can learn from them. Why those people can be instructors? You can peek into the secret from their monthly newsletter: A student got some community funding for CTCC, soon this student became an instructor. This is only one example. If you think that you can choose the instructor who is qualified, you are wrong. Those instructors in training will randomly teach at different classes without acknowledgement of students in that class. It is not allowed and punishable for students to ask who is going to teach them at CTCC. So sorry for the students there.

Studying Tai Chi, Hsing-I and Ba Gua at CTCC has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I have grown stronger, more flexible, and more present in my everyday life as a result of my practice there. I cannot recommend CTCC highly enough for anyone looking to improve balance, flexibility, memory, and reduce stress.
