Check in associate was polite. The phlebotomist was amazing & quick. Fastest trip for a blood draw.
Very unfortunately, this Labcorp office is really pretty terrible. When I arrived for my appointment, they receptionist told me I needed some kind of additional, second verification from my doctor, even though I had the order for lab work right in my hands AND my doctor had sent it electronically. She said the would have to call my doctor and would have to wait to hear back from him. After an hour, of waiting, I inquired, and no, they have been trying and trying but nothing from your doctor yet....After 2 hours, I walked into the hall and called my doctor myself and was told that Labcorp HAD NEVER called them. I return to the front desk and say, Ive been waiting more than 2 hours, my doctor says he never heard from you. One of the receptionists, says, Oh, sorry. Who are you again? Turns out they had been calling the wrong doctor AND also turns out there was absolutely nothing wrong with the order for lab work they had for me. After all of that, they neglected to run one of the blood panels and so I actually had to return and have it done all over again.
So friendly and helpful - super fast and easy!
The ladies at this office Wendy and Amanda are amazing. Theyre always polite and willing to go the extra mile to their capabilities. There are regularly other people working when the two main girls arent there. Yes, those times the office is just madness. The reason Im even leaving this comment is because of a previous reviews that arent the greatest and Im 100% sure those comments werent about the two main girls....however the one review that caught my attention and needed a response is the one by a TOOTS NIMAX that is trying so very hard to call one of the sweetest workers out. HONEY if you want to come on here and look so very sloppy please come with the entire story!! You flat out ignored their policy stated all over the building which is MASK REQUIRED AND NO GUEST ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY. You were POLITELY asked 3......3!!!!! Separate times to follow those rules. In which the 3rd time being asked you SHOUTED at Amanda stating you heard her the first time. *****if that was the case SHE SHOULDNT HAVE HAD TO REPEAT HERSELF TWO OTHER TIMES SEVERAL MINUTES APART!!!!!if you want to speak on something COME WITH THE WHOLE STORY!!!!YOU WERE DISRESPECTFUL, TRASHY, AND FLAT OUT UGLY!!!Lastly, there was only one other patient in this facility at this time which was my mother! Who respected the request the first time she was asked. So those other patients you are speaking of must have been the ones in your head!!!I do not tolerate belligerent, lying bullies!! If i would have seen this months ago when you posted your VERY INACCURATE ACCOUNT OF WHAT HAPPENED, I would have made a point to address it a lot sooner.BLESS YOUR UGLY HEART SWEETIE!!!YOU NEED JESUS!!
I found Liz to be amazing and she was superior in her ability to draw blood and detailed in her check in process. Though she could use some assistance as she seemed to be the only staff person at the office the day I went. So I think she is really over worked and handling a lot and maybe LABCORP is asking to much of her as she was very busy and all the time she kept a great and happy demeanor. I had the most amazing experience ever with her in terms of getting a blood draw. Didnt even feel the needle and she was so quick and organized. PLEASE NEVER LOSE HER AS YOUR EMPLOYEE.
Extremely demeaning and disrespectful staff. I would drive an hour out of my way to avoid this office. Especially their patient tech, Amanda, who demanded acknowledgment after disrespecting several patients. Here you go honey, bless your heart, I’ll acknowledge you!
We arrived and received the most unpleasant check in, through a very negative employee/nurse. She exactly told us that she should not have even given us masks as we came 15 miles for no reason. Instead of trying to help and be polite, she was being rude and we could not even stay a minute in this location.High highly recommend avoiding this place
Amanda drew my blood at the psc in Charlottesville Virginia it was A very pleasant Experience from the time I checked in to the time I checked out very helpful and did an amazing job will be going there again For future blood draws
Wow! This was THE most pleasant blood draw experience I have EVER had. (And I’ve had a lot.) check-in process was efficient, and the attention to detail by the staff was evident in the care taken to manually enter each test ordered by my doctor. (Some weren’t even on the printed order sheet, but hand written by my doctor.) Rachael, the technician who drew my blood, checked and double checked the list and vials needed and — most pleasant of all- was THE FIRST EVER to get a vein on the first try. Painless and swift! She’s good at this! I’ve had stressful blood draw experiences in the past and always dread my lab work day. These fantastic professionals have changed my attitude. Also, I was in and out in under 20 minutes! A++
Fast and professional services.
I am very upset with Labcorp. At the direction of my orthopedic doc I went on 7/2 to have a covid test done in preparation for hand surgery. I have a very narrow time when I can have this fine.. after shoulder surgery but early enough that I can go back to work when school starts. Surgery was scheduled tomorrow. Received a call today July 8 that I can’t have the surgery tomorrow because the lab has not run my test yet. My ortho office had to cancel/reschedule over 40 Surgeries. Now the soonest I can get the surgery is July 23 the day I am scheduled to begin rehab for my shoulder. Then school starts the week of Aug 12. Not enough time for rehab on shoulder and hand. Plus I’d have to have the damned test again. Surgery cancelled for now. Thank you Labcorp for not being able to run my test in a week like is required
I have been getting blood drawn monthly for several years at Labcorp and there has been a lot of employees that have come and gone. I have had about a dozen of them draw blood and Amanda is the only one that consistently does the procedure in a timely efficient manner without leaving a bruise! One employee that did the procedure a couple times left a big hideous looking bruise that did not go away for several weeks! I have noticed that there has been a lot of turnover and they are shorthanded the last couple visits. Please do what you can to retain Amanda since she is an absolute great asset to Labcorp--the 5 stars are for her!!!
I have been to this location for blood draws twice. Both times the experience was similar with front desk staff (different people both times): Disinterested, abrupt and seemingly very unhappy to be working there. Then the actual blood draw was even worse that the reception. I ended up with a bruise that was 6 inches long and about 4 inches across. Also at my first visit, I was appalled to sit in a very crowded waiting room where the staff was signing people in by asking them to announce their name, date of birth and social security number out loud at the front desk where everyone could hear it.
I went in for a drug screening and I asked for a cup. She told me she would be right with me. So, I sat there for 20 minutes listening to their gossip (which was entertaining but very unprofessional). I got up and asked again. The lady got up and took me back. When I was finished she told me to sign and initial. My signature is my initial and I asked if that was fine to sign it like that. She looked at me and pointed at the paper and said see your name... You sign your name. That simple. Next time Ill poop in the cup and say its that simple.
This LabCorp is always extremely quick and efficient. Amanda Lopez is the best phlebotomist ever. I have very tiny veins as in baby small or smaller and Amanda has always been able to get them on the first try. I have had to get my blood drawn every three months for the past 10+ years and no one has gotten me better than Amanda. This lab is highly recommended.I never make an appointment due to my work schedule and I always go on lunch. It was been quick and easy.
The girls here are just lovely! They were able to help with getting the doctor to explain exactly what he was looking for. They went out of their way to resolve the issues.Unfortunately, the Beacon does not work in order to obtain the test results. Very frustrating! You would think by 2016, they would have this feature of their company figured out and we could get test results for our own records.
Ive been coming to labcorp for years and can honestly say that Amanda is a blessing for that company. I can never find a tech that can draw my blood like she can. Never hurts, and I never leave with a bruise. There have been times when Ive been in the office and she is swamped with patients and regardless of how nasty and ugly people are towards her she keeps on going. Its a shame how short handed theyre but its even more appalling the way people feel the need to act because they have to wait at a medical facility where others do come first. Amanda deserves all the praises for her hard work and the ability to not tell some patients where to stick it. Love her!
Horrible attitudes, apparent indifference towards patient well-being, and poor execution of blood work (my shirt ended up getting soaked through with blood). If I ever need blood work done again, I will be willing to drive for an extra hour just to avoid this place.
Went 3 days ago very painful couldnt drive afterwards I have a huge bruice.
Needed a drug screen for a new job, so i left class early to make it before they closed. I got into the office at 437, the lady at the desk says they stop doing drug screens at 430,l. Seems like something you might want to include on your website. Wasted my time and made me miss class for no reason. Not pleased.
Short Staffed. I should have spoke up when she was annoyed and took it out on me. Make sure to make an appointment.
Unprofessional, rude attitudes although one of the lab techs was nicer than the other. Neither tech washed her hands or used hand sanitizer. The one who drew my blood used a very large needle after saying I have small veins and now I have a huge bruise on my arm. Hope to never have to have blood work done again.
Folks here are ignorant of how their own tests work and refuse to answer basic questions about testing, poor customer service and didnt turn tests around in the time frame given.
