Nice simple Barber shop/Salon combo. I recently had the barber Jully. She was nice but couldnt speak English at all. It made getting the haircut I wanted a little more difficult but like I said she seemed very nice.

Was visiting from Alabama and found this place. They do straight razor fades which is great. My normal mid skin fade was done pretty well. He didn’t edge me up in the front and shaved most my hair up top. I did give instructions Before the haircut I only wanted it trimmed on top . Cash only joint and the ATM had a misfeed and didn’t give me cash. Overall not a bad place to go for a quick haircut in a pinch.

As soon as I walked into the place there was a free barber that welcomed me to his chair. I got my haircut with David who was very efficient, polite and above all very detailed. I explained what I wanted including a nice fade and not too short on the top. I added the shampoo after the cut and only paid $17+tip. It is a cash only place but they have an ATM inside in case you don’t have cash. I would recommend this place anytime and for sure I will come back.

Not only did they mess us my sons haircut. When I tried to showed them the problems and how they can fix it to look half decent, the guy started yelling in his native language. Gave one star because the manager did not charge me for the cut because he realized the barber was on the wrong.

I found this place by accident, I was over the moon when I found out they specialize in military hair cuts.I sat and watch Kevin give this guy a high and tight with so much precision. The end result was stunning and on point!!!He was ready for inspection formation!He cut my sons hair, and there were no shadows or holes. The result was perfection. The prices are very reasonable in comparison to other places.To make it better, they even have a beauty shop section too. So while youre getting all cleaned up youre wife could get dolled up too.Definitely going back there again!

First time experience here. Went in wanting a straightforward undercut, blended into a scissor cut. There is a minor language barrier, so bringing photos helps. Got a good styling experience, and OK haircut. Would have liked a better blend with contouring and texture scissors. Asked for the sideburns to be kept, just tidied up. Seconds later they were shaved off with a straight razor. Wasnt happy about that. Got a good neck massage as part of the experience. Went to the register only to find out it was cash only. There was a cash machine right by the register to make withdrawals which seemed a bit sketchy. Cash only and an automated ATM machine waiting right there? No sign on the door indicating cash only just a small sign at the register. Id probably go for the shave experience but not for the haircut.

Great place to get your hair cut. They are very courteous and there is rarely a wait. The price is solid about 12 dollars and cuts are top notch. I have been going there for several years and had a cut from everyone but the female who I think is somewhat new and I have yet to have a bad hair cut. There is a salon area in the back but that does not seem to be used much.

Great haircut at an affordable price. For only $12, I got an excellent razor fade that included hot towels. Service was excellent. With six barbers on hand there is never a wait at this place. In a day and age of expensive salons for men, this is truly a barbershop of the old school.

He seems to always be there so you can visit without an appointment.

Got my 3 year old son a hair cut here. We just walked in. Our boy didnt cry once! He sat on my husbands lap during the cut. He didnt like the cape and started to itch and moving around after a while. Despite this, they did a great job. Fast. Love the cut! Would definitely come back. I ended up getting a haircut too. They also did great work on ladies hair. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Ive been here a half dozen times with hit or miss results.Today, Peter cut my hair. The haircut was decent, although I had to reiterate multiple times on what I wanted. It was going mostly well until he shaved the back of my neck. The shaving cream was inside a messy little jar with a brush, which I can only assume was used on the last few cuts that he did. It was ice cold, and he didnt bother with a steamed towel. It felt as if he was dragging rusty nails across my neck, the blade must have been dull. I was also worried about the sanitation of the cream/brush.After this I just wanted to get out of there, so I paid the $13 and started on my way when Peter stopped me and said No tip?No Peter, no tip.All in all, this will be my last visit to the Barber House.

Language very big problem. Keep telling her how I wanted hair and she never listened. My wife was getting very upset that they destroyed my hair cut. Every time she told them want to do she did opposite.Will NEVER go again

Went in for a beard trim only. Unfortunately, I believe there was a language barrier as I described what I wanted, but the barber didnt speak back to me and ended up removing most of my beard immediately by electric trimmers and a comb. One cheek was finished before I knew what was happening (I was turned away from the mirror). He turned me to face the mirror and said, OK? when half of the beard was basically stubble. I was going to give 3 stars based on the premise that some guys would probably be OK getting for themselves what I received (it was a nice job if thats what I asked for). However, I decided on 2 stars because I remembered being charged more than what the website quoted for a beard trim. They may be fine at the haircuts, but I can only review based on my service. Fortunately, beards come back. Unforutunately, I wont be returning to Barber House.

This is the best haircut Ive had in at least 8 years. Too bad I live out of town, Id definitely make this my regular place.

This place is awesome they do a terrific job and they dont talk your ear off, they provide a calm, quiet and excellent service. Its very inexpensive for a hair cut is only 12 dollars. They do alot of extra things no other barber does for the best price Ive seen. Yow would be making a mistake for not giving them a shot!

Ive been four times and all four times my hair wasnt cut how I specified, or even close to it. The hot towels are nice and pricing isnt bad, but when I say that I want to keep my beard at three inches then I mean three inches, not one inch.....

Had almost no wait as a walk-in on a Saturday morning, Bill was very polite and gave me the exact hair cut I asked for all for $13. Great place, would highly recommend to everyone

Regrettably, one of my worst haircuts! Despite being clear what I wanted and explaining it twice, the barber did something completely different (a fade is not the same as a same length cut on the sides); my hair is way shorter than I wanted. I suspect a language barrier existed; however, the haircut is uneven, especially on top, and does not look good. Too bad Staples Barber Shop was closed; they provide a better haircut.

Went in for just a cut since all I wanted was a cheap trim. Figured since I have a really short cut it would be better to go to a barber shop since theyre used to boy cuts. Instead the instant I come in they hand me off to the only female...I assume ONLY because of my gender since none of the other men seemed busy. I told her just a cut, no color and to leave the sides long since Im trying to grow it out. I just wanted it thinned out on top and in back. Instead she kept pestering me to color so I figured what the hell and agreed to one of her suggestions. The cut was terrible. She BUZZCUT the sides as close as she could get them, barely touched the top and told me just to style it when I complained it was still too thick on top. The color looked orange and hideous on me and even when she styled it, it looked nothing like the picture Id brought in. Ended up paying $90 for a hair cut that gave me a panic attack once I got home. Never going back here.

The babor I had did not seem to understand or speak English very well. Before she started, I specified that I didnt want the sides too short and that I didnt want skin showing. And she repeated OK short, skin then started cutting my hair before I could stop it. I had a heart attack when I thought she was shaving me bald for a second. I said woah, woah, let me see, and she showed me in the mirror. It was shorter than I wanted, but not way too short.I then tried to communicate that I wanted it longer than that but we couldnt understand each other. I just let her finish the hair cut.She did a good job for the haircut I got, I could tell she was very skilled and professional. The straight shave of the neck and the hot towel are a nice touch. Unfortunately I did not get what I was looking for.

I had Jully today. My first and last time. There was no wait. They had six people working. I dont know about the rest, but Jully didnt understand English well. I couldnt get her to understand how to cut my hair. Then I had the hot shave for my face. The razor was dull. She kept stretching my face like pizza dough. It hurt like hell every time she slid the razor on my skin. She also shaved me extremely fast like there was a prize for the fastest shave. In the end, my face was cut up as if a mower had ran it over. I wouldnt suggest this place except to people I dont like.

(11/11) After reading other reviews, I just went to Barber House for the first time. Ive been going to another place for twenty years that gives me a #2 butch and Im out the door in ten minutes. Im about two weeks into a new beard, and its still kind of patchy, but needed trimming in some areas. At BH, it took a good half hour, but I got a meticulous beard trimming and the best haircut I can remember, all for twenty bucks (plus tip). Its an extra dozen miles or so, but Ill be going back regularly.Second experience today (12/10). The guy nearest the waiting area gave me a bad haircut and a beard trim that I woundnt wish on an enemy. He does not understand what a #3 butch means (I came out nearly bald; #3 means 3/8) and he totally mangled my beard. He has no sense of symmetry whatsoever. Stay away from this butcher.

They are nice and they do get the access hair off of you but it seems like they charge black people higher than they charge white people because when I went to get a line up they charged me $22 and when I seen this white dude get a line up and his hair cut they only charged him $18 and I noticed how they charge other white guys less than they charge me which is messed up cause I like this barber but that makes me uncomfortable and not even really wanna go there anymore
