I am amending this review because for some reason Google will not let me post a new review. This is a response to the untruthful response from the owner of this business.When I called the company to make a reservation, the dispatcher or the person taking a reservation said nothing about a deposit. When they found out that a deposit was not supplied, they should have called me and told me a deposit was needed. They did not call. I called on the day of pickup when they werent there and I got their message. They called back 20 minutes later and the owners response was a surprised sounding he did not show up? I said no. He said nothing more. I said Hello? Are you there? He said nothing more. I hung up. My review is not in bad faith. It is 100% truthful.Check my review on Charlottesville Transportation & Taxi. Their service was exemplary. I said so and I gave them 5 stars.Check my other reviews and youll see I give praise where praise is earned. Aberdare deserved the 1 star review I gave them. Due to the owners untruthful response to my initial review, Id now give them a -2 if Google would let me.The following text is my initial reviewThey did not show up and would not answer the phone exclamation I called them twice exclamation we loaded our own car and drove to the airport and we left at 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time and they still had not called back. The owner finally called back and I said my driver is not there? But he did not apologize.

The service lived up to all the positive reviews. Stephen was prompt, professional, kind, and a great driver. It was easy to book by texting then paying the deposit online via a link. I was outside of Charlottesville by about 20min and had an early flight. I’d highly recommend this service.

I needed a prompt ride and Steven was available and arrived in a under 15 minutes. Comfy minivan and I enjoyed our conversation - thanks again!

Very professional and reliable prices and dependable, I wasnt from the area but this guy was patient arrive in a timely manner, and was very helpful and thankful for me choosing his services.

I have been stranded by Uber twice now, once trying to get to the airport to catch a flight and again at the airport. Each time I called Aberdare and they immediately responded and picked me up. Evan at 5:30 in the morning when Uber cancelled, they completely bailed me out. Highly recommend for their professionalism and timeliness.

Great transport company.

I work for Orkin Pest Control and was unfortunately rear ended in a 5 vehicle accident this morning between Charlottesville and Ruckersville. Steven was exceptionally quick with rushing to my aid and picking me up from the body shop, to take me all the way to the office in Harrisonburg! Great service

Stephen (owner and sometimes driver) was a life saver. I needed to get from west vIrginia to the Charlottesville airport, and I could not find any other company willing to take me. He drove in the middle of the night ( 3 hours each way) just to make sure he was on time, and in fact he was 5 minutes early, braving the snow and icy roads in the mountains in the dark.He was a safe driver, and he knows how to handle his car.I highly recommend him.

Superb service! Stephen went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The other cab company in town, who we had booked ahead of time, was running a half hour late and would have made us miss the wedding ceremony our group was attending. Thankfully, Stephen saved the day and picked us up from the hotel immediately to get us to the venue on time - and then later, he happened to pick us up after the reception as well. He was delightful company as well! Good luck to him!

Reliable service at 4:30 AM in Charlottesville VA. Called less than 24 hours ahead for pick up and Stephen reassured me he would be at our hotel on time. 2 minutes ahead of arrival time, he called to check in with us. Aberdare Transit is the best! The best taxi rate in Cville. You get excellent and timely taxi service, and excellent and personable drivers! My experience with Aberdare driver Caroline has me coming back for more. An excellent driver, Caroline made the whole experience enjoyable with conversation during the ride. Look elsewhere if you are hoping for reliable and professional transportation. Would not recommend using their services. Showed up at our destination rather than departure site and when confronted regarding the error was dismissive, confrontational, and unprofessional. Failed to offer as much as an apology, let alone make any attempt to rectify the situation, thereby leaving us stranded.

I recently used Aberdare Transit for a ride from CHO airport to Fishersville. Stephen was terrific and very accomodating when our flight arrived 20 minutes earlier. He was there in a flash and we had a quick ride to our destination. Highly recommended.
