What started as a bad day, ended in laughter, and great advice. Sam is literally THE MAN! We needed a quick tire change, we called our insurance.. unreliable… then someone blessed us with Sam’s contact! He was a delight to be around and very educated. The other fellow he was with was just as knowledgeable and helpful. Clearly the customer service was on point but the tire repair literally took less than an hour! He was efficient and communicated really well so we understood everything that was going on. I’d recommend Sam and son to anybody.

Sam is very dependent. He tells you when he will be coming and get there on time. He’s also an mechanic, I was going to tow my car to someone so they can change my engine for me. He actually does mechanic work and did it for the same price and was more knowledgeable than the person I was going to send it to. I will definitely use him again. Scammer alert!!!!! This man is a spiteful liar. This menace intentionally lied to my insurance company about what vehicle he towed to block me from being reimbursed because I REFUSED to let him fix my car. He also changed his price to tow my car after quoting me a lower price over the phone. He now refuses to respond to my insurance companys call for clarity after lying to them about the car he towed for me. This man seems to be deeply rooted in darkness and is not professional. Use him at your own risk and check your paperwork before he leaves, he may conveniently forget to write down important vehicle info your insurance may need to confirm process your claim. After reading some of the other reviews, Im convinced he preys on women to make a quick buck. Simply the worst. -100 stars for me. Id walk a thousand miles before I ever pay him again.

Called Sam when my truck got stuck, and he was at the location within the hour. Took him 5 mins to pull us out. Very friendly and professional, and his rate was extremely reasonable. Will call on him the next time we get in a jam!

I contacted Sam & Son Wrecker and Recovery for tire repair needs and they were phenomenal from the start to end. They arrived at the designated time to look at my car and did my tire repair in no time. The customer service was amazing and the level of professionalism was great! It can be hard to find a good car care business that cares about your car as much as you do, but let me be the first to say that my car was well taken care and I felt appreciated as a customer.

Sam Baker went beyond the call of duty to help me out! He took me to get a new battery to see if the car would start because the battery was dead and over it’s 3 year service life. Sam picked up my vehicle from one location and delivered to the next location. He gave me all the details of where the vehicle was located on car lot and also gave the service tech at dealership the keys and information on vehicle. Very courteous and thoughtful! I will be using Sam and Sons the next time I have a vehicle to be towed. I understand that he performs minor repairs as well, so I will be taking my sons truck there for future services.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a mechanic in my whole entire life. They towed my car same day an my car was ready an running better then new the next day. My fiancé and I called because they had such a high rating. We experienced car issues this afternoon during the heat of the day and called Sam and Son after calling 5 other companies who didn’t answer, after our encounter we wished that they just didn’t answer as Well.Anyway they answered we have them our address and the address where we would be going. The gentleman on the phone said he could do the job and could head that way. We texted our address and patiently waited. 45mins to an hour went by and we called again to get an estimated arrival time. We were way too patient, he asked if we had texted the address after we told him on the phone and texted it the first time, we went ahead and sent it again and followed up asking for an estimated arrival time. During the second call we should have figured he wasn’t coming with all. He texted after sending after the price for today and the price for tomorrow. Mind you we had called ace requested a tow for today, it’s hot and I’m 5 months pregnant. The communication sucked and it felt like we were trying to force a company to take our money. Maybe this was a bad day for them who knows but very disappointed and wasted so much of our afternoon waiting

I called to request a tow off for an abandoned car on our church parking lot, we talked through all the logistics and he said he would charge me 60 bucks to tow off the car, even though i know that once he takes possession of the car he can either recoup that money plus more from the owner, or sell/auction off the car and still make money. once I said that i was not interested in paying for it, he obviously got irritated and said that he didnt want to take that car anyways and hung up. Definitely would not do business with them.

What impressed me the most, other than his timing, was that he stayed in communication with me to let me know his status as to where he was in getting to us and when my car was safely dropped off to where we needed it towed. Don’t believe the hype! I called this company at 5:54am (24 hr service it states on the website). The person who answered immediately had a attitude with me for calling. I told him the situation with my car and he told me I should’ve called last night. Am I wrong for calling a 24 hr tow truck company at this time of the morning? He went on to say that I wasn’t going to find a company to come and tow my car and that I waited too late to get it towed. Word of advice! “If you do not want anyone to call your company at anytime of the morning or day, don’t want to work or do the service!!! Remove your company off of google saying “24 hour service” and stop accepting calls!!” This company is very unprofessional and rude! Don’t call unless you want to get talked to like a kid and not treated as a paying customer!!!

Just called for a simple tow to the dealership but in the end I got a helpful friend. Mr. Sam came to tow my sisters Beetle to the VW dealership and within that short ride he gave me car advice and we chatted about family. He even offered to look at my car because the engine light wouldnt turn off. He explained everything to me in detail and was patient enough to let me talk it over with my parents. I would recommend Sam & Son to all of my friends and family.

We called the gentlemens towing company and at first he said it was $80 then called back and said it would be $150 but if he couldnt get the vehicle itd be $80 and he was getting dressed. I said okay please call me back so I know when youre on way and he started yelling at me about how I shouldnt ask for him to call me back then said he refused to do it and hung up on me.

I called for a tow in the beginning and then was convinced by the owner to just have it towed to his shop and have the repair done there. In the beginning he was nice and understanding. The repair was done & he did what I asked. Then when I went back to him after I heard a noise that I didnt understand instead of trying to explain to me why I had the noise and how to fix it he immediately started going off saying that you see how girls always want things done for free and thats why I dont like to serve as black people either if I was a white mechanic you would except everything Im telling you right now you would have a problem with it. I explained to him that that was not necessary and that was not the case and I thanked him and told him to have a good day and I would I would never use a service again!

So, I didnt actually have these guys come out to tow, BUT I was stuck in a parking garage with a 7 clearance and NO ONE else would even consider coming to help. These guys didnt have a truck to get me out, but he was willing to roll my car out of the garage and tow it from Charlotte to Fort Mill for a very fair price. My car started about 5 minutes after I talked to him, so we ended up cancelling, but I was very impressed with his willingness to help. Again, every other service just said no.

I cant speak for anyone elses experience on here but I will say I met Sam for the 1st time ever yesterday when my car broke down in the middle of a restaurant parking lot late at night. He gave me the prices upfront of how much the tow would cost or if I just wanted to try a jump box. I informed I thought I needed a tow. He came out to tow me & informed he also had a shopmate who works on vehicles and could save me a lot of money v. going to a typical dealership. Since I have a relatively new BMW this was a big deal because they can be very expensive to repair. Sam was upfront about all of the pricing with his shopmate & even got my car back to me within just a few hours the next day! They did an awesome job! Ive read some bad reviews on here & I understand sometimes things can happen but from my experience I can truly say Sam is a very solid down to Earth guy who will try to do best by his clients. I highly recommend!

Very crafty and fast talker. They did not bring a truck to tow my vehicle, yet instead used a jumper box and drove it to my home. I was charged $60 for the “ service” and they have yet to produce a receipt. The price quoted for repairs, was too expensive for them to not have properly diagnosed the issue with a machine The more questions I asked, the more agitated and aggravated they became, until they stopped responding to calls and texts. They are purposely withholding my receipt so that I’m hindered from reimbursement from my insurance. So It’s okay for them to get paid for a non- service, but the “ business” can’t produce a receipt? Ok. Lesson learned, never be desperate for help, even if you really need it because some people will pounce on taking advantage of your needs. Scam n sons towing definitely will. -1 star owwww!!!! . I write this as my car is being repaired for more than less than have of what they tried to rob me of.

I cannot say enough good things about this place but I will try, Sam & Son will always have my business and recommendations after the disaster they saved me from. My problems started from someone putting bad gas into my car..I lost power and ended up having my car towed to Firestone auto care on Albemarle Rd. I was adoment about the fuel being bad and knew that was the cause of my car breaking down..Firestone said they couldnt find out what was wrong without me paying 100.00 for a diagnostic..after 3 days the results came back and Firestone told me I needed a WHOLE NEW FUEL SYSTEM!! I was devastated, the fees totaled $2,536.00!! I thought my lively Hood was going to be different for months, if not longer. I ended up finding Sam & Son through Google and explained my dilemma..this man, Sam, not only listened but he went to Firestone and towed my car to his shop with no money out of pocket. Then he called me back within 2 hours and said my car was running!! There was still a long over due tune up that he highly recommended but I knew that before the bad gas was put into my car. Sam charged me $475.00. tow included.The customer service did not stop there either. This man spent so much time on the phone with me as I was working with my insurance adjuster to file the incident under comprehensive insurance. Although my deductable is $500 because he proved to Geico that this was a accident I was able to get a rental car for up to 30 days at no additional cost to me and the insurance company ended up reimbursing me for the $100 diagnostic fee that Firestone charged me.Although this was still a big monkey wrench in my life Sam made the situation possible to recover from. Without the help from this small family business my childrens summer/ lives would have changed drastically. I highly recommend this company, Sam & Son proved to me that there are still honest people in this industry and I thank the heavens for people like this. Tell your friends and family they can rely on this company!!!
