While I was finally able to get my infants passport application submitted here, it took multiple trips and putting up with extremely rude staff. The second time I came I was quickly shooed out of the office because I brought my baby in a stroller and apparently strollers arent allowed inside. Not sure how Im supposed to get my child from the parking deck to the door, but okay. I tried my best to be super prepared with all the correct documents and forms since you HAVE to apply for infant passports in person. Instead of politely explaining that my photo was the wrong size (and knowing that they could take one for me if mine was wrong), I was told the photo specs are clearly found online and they refused to take a new one for me. When I came back the second time, I still had the old photo in my folder of materials and the woman quickly said THAT PHOTO WONT WORK. Yes, I know, I went to Walgreens like you suggested and the new one is right here. Instead of explaining how I accidentally filled something out wrong, she said it clearly states here to do X, there are too many errors on this form and made me fill out a new application. (I realize this is a federal document and had no problem redo-ing it, but it was the attitude I could do without.) Things that they wont tell you: 1) they wont take photos of babies under 6 months old 2) expedited shipping fees must be paid in cash 3) parking can be found at the Union Deck and they should validate (they offered it to me the second time, but not the first). They told me they take appointments from 9am-12pm daily, but when I wanted to make an appointment at 12pm (like I did twice), they act like youre an idiot for suggesting that time. They tell you to absolutely make an appointment, even though they accept walk-ins and they didnt seem to be very busy. Theres a reason there is always availability here. If you have the patience to put up with the attitude, go for it.
Very friendly and fast customer service.
We did not have an appointment, so we walked in and got a passport renewed. The two ladies that work this postal/passport station are efficient and polite. They work super hard, so please be patient if you have to wait. There are a lot of rude and impatient patrons that come in, like the guy that had to be told at least 10 times that a portion of the passport has to be paid in cash. It is not their rules but the State Department!
I went this morning to renew my passport, got lost a little but but as soon as we found the union station the information center workers helped me find the post office in there, they were very nice and professional but there was a worker in the post office itself who had an attitude at 9 of the morning. She continued to have an attitude through out the service and was no help. I dont understand why she works in a place like this if shes not a people person or a morning person. It was very unprofessional of her. I maintain my kindness even with the service she provided. Her energy was so bad that I walked out with a whole different vibe. Besides that staff was very nice and helpful, would recommend. Also I did a walk in and did not wait for too long (max 1 hour).
Be aware. There was a long line by 8:30am and they didn’t open the office until 8:59am! B. The employee was 20 minutes late!!
Horrible service. I waited 3 hours and they acted confused when I came to see how long it may be before I am seen. I tried for months to make an appointment but they do not answer the phones. Prepare to spend your whole day here.
Mr. Timothy was a pleasure to deal with! He was very sweet and explained everything I had questions about. It was relatively easy to find the office, upon walking in the building there is a desk to the left of the door they says Information. The very nice woman at the desk pointed me in the direction.
In and out!! Love it!!
I walked in to obtain a passport and my experience was nothing short of fantastic! The three young ladies that assisted me were very helpful and had me in and out in less than 20 minutes which would not have happened anywhere else! They made an otherwise mundane task enjoyable, thank you!
Great place to get your passport. Parking is a bit difficult cause is a university campus.
Great service
Tracy from the post office was amazing! She went out of her way to make sure we will get to the right building, in time for our appointment! Very pleasant, professional post office supervisor, I am so grateful - thank you dear Tracy!
Great Place. Wonderful people.
I called to setup an appointment and nobody answer the phone. When I went to that place was really hard to find the passport office, if you are not a UNC student you will get lose Walk in are only on the morning otherwise you will waste your time.
This is the place to go for your passport. Theres virtually no wait, the staff is friendly, and helpful.
Terrible dont expect a return call when you professionally and respectfully give them a courtesy call to reschedule. Just like a DMV office I suppose
