Wish I could give zero stars. A shipment was in transit from MO to NC on 9/22. Arrived in my city 9/24. It is now 10/6 and has still not been delivered. The online tracking system says delivery is today every single day Ive checked it since 9/24. Customer service is a 15-30 min. hold time. Finally, they call the dispatch center in my city and cant get anyone to answer the phone. If I want to pick up the shipment myself, there is a complex online process that the sender must complete on my behalf through a third party freight forwarder. Dont do business with Central.
They picked up a load from us on September 13 and as of 09/22 it still had not delivered. I will request that we never use them again. I have had to overnight product to my customer twice because of this issue. And all they have to say for themselves is We are an estimated carrier and do not offer any guaranteed services and this is copied and pasted from an email from their customer service. No apologies, NO we will see what we can do to get this taken care of. Nothing. Stay away - dont use them!My shipment was delivered on 09/23 10 days after it shipped. Completely unacceptable! it should have been a couple of days at the most.
The worst carrier ever. Two days and they never show up. Very nasty driver and customer service. In every 20 pick up they show up once. Don’t ever try. They are looser and not in to business. I am in pineville NC. FYI pick up date was sep28.
Do not use these people to ship freight, the most terrible experience ever, no customer service, they run days and days late without communication and nobody there cares, avoid at the highest cost!!
I believe this is one of the yards PAM transport drops trailers to be picked up at a later date. Always a spot to drop a trailer. I have actually had to sleep there in my semi once or twice. Very peaceful and safe place.
WARNING--DO NOT USE CENTRAL TRANSPORT!! The only reason they received one star is because it will not allow me to give 0 stars. Third day in a row no call, no show. Our order will now be late to our customer and they are not happy. Each day when we called (and waited on average 30 minutes to an hour just for someone to pick up the phone) after the scheduled time frame, they had excuse after excuse. We spoke with one representative named Nick who was EXTREMELY RUDE and claimed he rescheduled the shipment for the next day only to find out the next day (after waiting all day) that nothing was on their schedule. They may be a cheap service, however, you get what you pay for. Will never use this company again and if you want a reliable, quality service I would recommend you look elsewhere as well.
This trucking company is a joke!! I had an 18 awning I needed picked up had the BOL and everything saying exactly what was being picked up. It was packaged and strapped! You send a SEMI truck to pick it up only to be told I cant take thatThats sad considering that every other trucking company will!!Its cool though! I went with South Eastern who showed up with a box truck and took it no problem! Never again will I ever use or recommend Central transport!! If you dont want to work then just shut your company down!
It took a month for me to get my pallet.And I had to go pick it up myself after paying hundreds in shipping freight.Since they are short staffed they weren’t able to deliver my pallet.But as I’m sitting here waiting for my pallet most of the workers are talking S$&@ instead of actually working.Also, this place is disgusting and it smells like someone took a dump all around this facility.This will be the last time I Ever ship through central transport.This place needs to close and start from scratch again.Super disappointed !!!!

I just dropped off an empty trailer here. There was plenty of room to drop my trailer. A friendly shop employee signed my paperwork and I was on my way!
They call to set up delivery the left message you call back the number says leave message with no mention of their name central transport call website phone number they tell you to use website which requires you to download flash to use their website and the whole time it took be to write this review i am still on hold listing to recording saying how important my call is and please hold yep ill get with shipper to never use central transport again or we will get my product from a different manufacturer.
Have been told everyday this week, that a truck was coming for pick up and every day, no show. Do not use these people if you have small loads. They do not care.
I would not recommend.The service that Central Transport provides is completely unacceptable. I can say without hesitation that every single pallet that has shipped to us using Central Transport has had major damages to our products. It is obvious that Central Transport is not Customer Oriented when it comes to the quality of care given to products being shipped to their customers. The proof is in the untimely service & pictures. Today, I actually received a pallet that completely fell apart causing 75% of the products to hit the pavement. I have pictures to prove that the wrapping and products on this particular pallet were so badly stressed that it would not hold long enough for me to get it into the store...I will include the pictures while pallet was still on the Central Transport Truck. I dread the other shipments that are scheduled for this week knowing that they will most likely be damaged as well. They will in fact be the last shipments coming from Central Transport. Your damages to our products effect our business directly. When you damage products we then have to immediately reorder from our manufacturer to get the products here for our customers. I guess we as customers are considered disposable to Central Transport. I have filed claims and have received Next to No communication. I am left to assume that that is a trickle down effect of the companies disregard for their customers. I’m tired of filing claim after claim after claim.
If youre going to let people pick something up at the warehouse then put up a few signs on how to get there.
You never know if they will even show up despite scheduling days in advance. No response and they sincerely dont care.
We either receive shipments 1week after estimated date or they arrive damaged. Calling customer service is useless they claim they are 2 weeks behind and cant do anything about it and keep feeding you with tomorrows. Not sure why they dont incorporate that into the estimated deliver before orders are placed with them so their customers can account those extra days for their orders.
Whoever the driver was in a daycab hauling trailer 1800335 on 10/05/2020 afternoon going I-81 south in Virginia, this driver is extremely aggressive, failed to yield to others and didnt activate turn signal when changing lanes, dispatchers should look up who this driver was based on the information I provided above and give this driver disciplinary action, recommended for job termination.
Great delivery of goods and on time
Definitely wont use this carrier again. Weve called at least 3 times a day to follow up the pick up for 2 days, but the driver never show up even we got told by their customer representative multiple times that driver is on the next stop.
Delivered a new trailer. Other driver was helpful in directing me where to go. They got to me right away.You will have to cross water hole at driveway if it rains. Lol. At least its not muddy.
I only gave this 1 star because I had too. Absolutely the worse company to ship with. They set us up on a pallet program that give great rates but everything else is terrible. They have lost pallets, damaged pallets, and can not deliver on time for nothing in this world. When you call to speak with a rep you get 3 different excuses.
We made a shipment of specialty parts to a good customer of ours. Central Transport lost 3 of the 10 boxes shipped on a shrink wrapped protective skid. We filed a claim for the value of the loss which amounted to $1,300.00. After over 90 days they sent out a check for around $130.00. You can not even call the claim department at Central Transport. Ive been shipping for over 25 years and have never experienced a claim process at fraudulent as this.
Horrible service. The pick up was supposed to happen on Monday but they ended up not being able to pick up until between 6-7 PM so they said I was first on the list for Tuesday and it would be around 10ish. It is now after noon. Now they say that they are accommodating ME when I opened my warehouse for them just because Central Transport couldnt get their act together on the scheduled pick up day.
This is the worst shipping company I have ever used . Every pallet has had busted bags. The dock foreman told me I was preaching to the choir when I complained so he went and got the general manager . The general manager at the Charlotte local was nice enough to tell me they may not be the company for me when I got upset that 7 bags were busted and then their fork lift driver busted 2 more loading them . I am a small business and will never use this company again.
These guys cant find themselves out of a wet paper bag. My supplier called for a pick up and held our shipments and they refused to deliver without a credit card. We call them back and no one would pick up. Worst customer service and dont call them for a pick up. If I could give them half a star I would.

Had my freight for 3 days before I heard from them. They promised delivery the next day and then called to say they didnt enter it into the computer so itd be the next day. Wouldnt let me pick it up myself, and unreachable to arrange an alternate time. Still dont have my delivery.
This is one of the worst trucking companies ever!! They damage your material and refuse to pay for it, they change the class and weight on your material when you get those weights and class from the manufacturer directly. They have some of the rudest people working for them and they clearly dont care about anything. They are absolutely terrible! Dont use them unless you want to lose money and not get reimbursed for damaged goods!
Worst service ever. Will never do business ever again. Missing my 450lbs part in warehouse for almost a month and have not done anything about it. Whoever decides to use these people, be careful. Go to UPS Freight or FedEx Freight. They will be way more helpful and will do anything to help unlike these people that keep saying the same response the last 6 times Ive emailed them. 👎🏻
I have had a claim for 30 days at $7,000 worth of loss. I used this company alot through unishippers because they have the best rates. Although a pallet of fabric was delivered to my customer wet, torn and dirty. Completely unuseable. Central claims that they need to inspect claims over $5,000.00 in value. I have tried numerous times to follow up on this claim but am told you can only do it through email. Thing is noone replys. If you call customer service says they cant help me because they are not qualified to handle situations like this. I ask to speak to the reps manager and yet again the customer service rep says they are not qualified to handle situations like this. The best part is I ask who the owner and plant manger was to please give me a name and the rep replied we are a nationwide comapny. She either doesnt know who she works for or isnt smart enough to read who signs her check. I ask several times to speak to someone with a higher authority and and got nothing. This is not ethical and I do not understand how this company holds any creditability.

Terrible place, about 4 hrs to load a truck and the long haul trips are getting processed in the afternoon. The people in charge have no idea how to load a trailer, they will just throw everything inside. How can you run a transportation business with that type of people, totally unprofessional. Drivers, if you get there to pickup freight step up and manage how and where to load the stuff or otherwise you may get over on some axles even with less then 35000 lbs total weight.

My advice, dont go to this place for employment..the co workers r cool, but the management, r a bunch of tyrants. Especially the terminal manager, MARK ALLEN..if u dont want your chk held back, whn youre supposed to be paid, then dont apply there..its been 2 wks and I still havent got the 2 chks promised to me, by MARK ALLEN..If you try 2 go and grab it from the company, then he will do pettyish things like, call the cops to say the youre a criminal trespassers. When I left, it wasnt based upon communicating threats, or anything of that nature. I left peacefully, and now my chk is being held from me..NO RESPECT FOR THT unstable creature.

HARDEST PART WAS SHOWING UP TO THIS CLOWN SHOW. Wont take you long to realize youve made a mistake applying to work here. Unlike anything youve experienced before. The company is just plain and simple terrible. Does not value its employees and not to mention doesnt even consider their family outside of the job. Line=haul drivers are paid well below industry standards. In comparison Old Dominion pays their drivers $50 more per day for the same amount of miles driver (544) compared to central whose driver will see about $266 per day vs on the low end of $320 plus for the other LTL carriers. Plus after driving all those miles you are EXPECTED TO UNLOAD A FULLY LOADED 53 FOOT TRAILER. Your work schedule is a mandatory 14 hours!!! At 70 hours per week. Poor pay package. No 401k match. No DIRECT DEPOSIT!! Seriously. Im not joking. Reason being is high turnover. Guys quit sometimes the same day if not day after. Company not only doesnt care about their employees. SMH. For the life of me cant understand why shippers would ship anything with these clowns. Damage freight. Double stacked to benefit central and screw the customer. Your fellow employees. SMH. End of the road guys. No loyalty towards one another. Will not back you. Bunch of step and fetch going on around their for no gain. Complain but no guts to venture out. Some have issues related to not being able to go elsewhere with license or criminal background strikes. Company will hire anyone. If you must go as I did as soon as you can LEAVE.Place is horrible. Go to yellow, UPS, Old Dominion, or Fed Ex facilities and then go the centrals. Lol seeing is believing.

If I could put a negative in front of the 5 I would, the driver was a decent fella but the rest of the company is horrible, suppose to get my shipment in two days and on day 6, still no shipment, they keep changing stories about where it is and my shipper is even getting the run around, I would never personally pick them, id spend more money to find another way, plus they do not communicate with their drivers.
