We just spent our first anniversary here and it’s was an absolute 5/5 stars. The hotel staff was so kind and helpful! The rooms were very clean and very nice. We cannot wait to stay here again! Food and spa were also fantastic!
The beginning of this review might not sound very positive, but to provide proper context I would like to start there. I encountered a mishap when I requested laundry service with a promised return the next afternoon/evening. The following evening at around 9pm I checked on my clothes and was informed it will not arrive till the next evening because it was not picked up until late afternoon and the dry-cleaning service is off site. This was disappointing since I left my laundry bag outside my door the night before the claimed 8am pick up time the following morning. I have a long stay of 6 weeks at this hotel and what a way to start the first week. The front desk receptionist who broke the news to me was Ms. Sasha Mow. This is when my bad experience turned around. First, she could have easily just let it be, apologize for the delay, and left me to figure out what to wear to the office the next day. This would have been the easy way out.Being in the customer service space for many years, I am impressed with how Sasha handled the situation. First, she apologized and offered to reach out to their internal laundry team to see if they can press my clean clothes. Then she said she will reach out if it’s even possible. I said “sure go ahead and please let me know what they say”. This is the first test since I’m not sure if she will call me back either way. About 45 minutes later, Sasha called to inform me that the onsite laundry team will press my clothes but not sure how long it will take. I’m up till midnight so I informed Sasha I’m willing to wait. Again, Sasha made a claim that she will call before midnight, otherwise, she will just leave it outside my door. So, here’s the 2nd test, I’m not sure if she will call me before midnight to inform me either way. To my delight, my phone rang at 11:38 p.m. to advise me that my clothes are ready to be delivered. She came up and had my clothes delivered, pressed and ready to go.In my view, Sasha has won all the acclaim for turning a negative experience to a very positive one. I keep thinking it would have been so easy for her to blame the previous shift and just take the easy route by apologizing without going the extra mile. So happy to see that Customer Service is still alive and well. To the Ballantyne Hotel Management, kudos to your training program as well. More impressive in my opinion is what Sasha did came from within, it’s what she brings to the table, your hotel and eventually your customers. She deserves to be recognized and spread her achievement to all.Paul A.
I was here for a birthday celebration and they did not disappoint. The food was too notch and the service was excellent. Also, there’s were so many areas to take great photos! Beautiful place inside and out!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful at this establishment! We took my mom to celebrate her Birthday, and I never imagined they would gove her the m9st unforgettable experience!! They treated us like royalty and showered us with kindness, and excellent customer service. From the front desk to the Gallery restaurant, to their wonderful Tea Time experience, to their cleaning personnel and everyone else in between, they were all wonderful and I have no words to thank them for making my mom feel like the most loved person in the world!!
Quite a beautiful hotel. Very very nice amenities throughout the entire building. The rooms are just very comfortably appointed. The atmosphere in the lobby and throughout the entire building is just wonderful. The food and the restaurant was excellent. Plentyful parking throughout the building in their lot. There is construction going on for some major improvements on the back of the building. Which doesnt affect the serviceability or loveliness of the entire operation
Positive: The dinner service at the restaurant was awesome. Rooms are reasonably priced. Negative: Wider variety in the room minibars would be nice. In-room breakfast order was ignored completely our last day there - we were spending between $200 - $300 per meal on-site. Kind of disappointing.
Fantastic girls spa weekend. From pampering in the spa with mimosas & champagne to brunch and poolside. Every member of the staff were amazing. Attention to every detail and whim. Customer Service is impeccable.
We were welcomed by a lovely Lady on arrival at the hotel 10/02/21With a class of fizz ( unfortunately didn’t catch her name) we went on to tell her we came to the hotel to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary, we were then checked in by Jasmine who was extremely nice, polite and made check in very smoothly. The hotel it’s self is stylish (inside) and the staff we meet along the way were all great and very helpful. Restaurant and bar has a great Atmosphere and the food was ok ( our main corse chicken and duck was chewy)The reason for the 2⭐️ Was because of our sleep or rather lack of! We were given room 213 which was a lovely room, clean, spacious. However outside our room door was another set of door’s that are closed in the evening at most likely to shut out noise from the reception area. The doors were extremely noisy when being opened and closed, they are pushed opened using a push bar like on a fire exit and then just left to slam close. This went on constantly between 11pm and 2am and then started again at 7am. We left the hotel feeling exhausted and extremely disappointed that we were charged 436$ for room only and would have had a better night sleep at home. Unfortunately this experience has put us of staying again and even recommending the hotel to our friends.
We had high tea at the Ballantyne hotel to celebrate a bridal shower. ( 5 ladies). It was great! The staff was excellent and so attentive. Decor and table setting were lovely. The only suggestion I would have is regarding the little sandwiches. It looked like those mini sandwiches were made several hours ahead of time and kept in the fridge. They did not look nor tasted fresh.
We enjoyed a ladies Spa day to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The staff is amazing and the massages were just what we wanted...super relaxing! We loved having our Spa lunch outside on the patio. We also spent time by the outdoor pool. Not a negative comment at all, but just a heads up that in addition to the outdoor pool, the indoor pools and hot tub are not just for Spa guests so there will likely be children at both areas. We will definitely be back!
Hands down the best hotel that I have ever stayed at...and I am well traveled. The staff, the room, the bathroom, the tub (and I have NEVER used a hotel tub until coming here), the showers, the robes, the massage, the food, the whiskey bar, the ambiance, the views, everything had me drooling. It was THE best sleep that I have had...maybe ever after that massage. The king size beds are heavenly. I cant remember the masseuses name but she was AMAZING (just make sure to book in advance because their spa is wildly popular). The attention to detail and customer service really puts this place over the edge. It was my first time staying there with my fiancé for my birthday and I was so shocked to find the loveliest birthday note and champagne in our room. I will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here!
My husband and I had an incredible two night stay. The food we ordered from in-room dining was delicious (definitely try the chicken & waffles for breakfast) and the customer service was great. The only unpleasant experience was one rude pool bartender when my husband asked if they served snacks (Im expecting a baby and was feeling nauseated) but that was not enough for us to take off a star. We cant wait to come back! Im already planning to try the tea time with some friends.
The hotel is nice and the spa and restaurant were good. We accidentally left some clothing at the hotel and when I called to request they send them to our home we were told that the clothing was found and they would send them to us. After a couple weeks nothing arrived so I called again. Was told by the front desk staff that they would check and get back to me but they never did. Pretty disappointed as these were new clothes.
Great option for my clients to come & stay here when from out of town. Clean & very friendly staff. Somewhat disappointed in the construction going on behind the resort but this is par for the course in Charlotte these days.
I didn’t stay here. My family has been and the hotel has been so accommodating to them as they are transitioning to a new home. They have been there for two weeks. They have a 6 year old, a 2 year old and a baby due in a month.Thank you, Ballantyne Hotel, for caring for my family! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great property in Ballantyne. Very expansive with lots of space which helps with the ambience of the place. Not too far from Uptown location-wise either - although you’ll find yourself not wanting to leave the hotel.
Came here for afternoon tea and was shocked at how much the prices went up from the last time I was here. They include a 24% gratuity fee which, in my opinion is way too much for someone telling me what the appetizers are. Otherwise the tea and food are delicious as well as beautiful Ballantyne hotel.
My husband and I started making the Ballantyne our go to spot but after our stay this past week we will not be returning until our issues are addressed. The start of the trip started with the valet person ( who hasn’t been there due to covid) approaching me as I was walking into the building telling me that I can’t park in valet unless he valets the car. However, the last time we stayed here, there was no valet and we were told we could park there. So I was told that he needed my keys if I wanted to stay parked there. I handed him my keys and he handed me a ticket. The next day, I walk down to start my day. My chauffeur and sprinter are there, but I also see my vehicle that I did not request due to obviously not needing it because we had a vehicle and chauffeur. I asked the valet man why my vehicle was pulled up and he said that I asked for it. Which is false. It turns out that another black woman requested her vehicle and he assumed it was me and pulled my vehicle up for her. Which was very concerning that anyone who is black can have access to my vehicle without the valet ticket being asked for. My car was running, windows rolled down, and unlocked. After we told him that he had the wrong person he followed up with it not being a problem because it wasn’t out there long and he was watching it. Just horrible! We stayed in the presidential suite and requested towels on two separate occasions and the first time I had to call back down and see what was taking so long. The second time on a different day, the request was ignored completely. No towels ever came. I’m just so completely upset by this stay. This is not a cheap motel and we pay the price when it’s worth it. But this last stay was far from that. When I requested a Tylenol due to experiencing cramps, I was told by the front desk that it’d be a charge. After paying the price for a presidential suite, you’d think a Tylenol, when needed, would be complementary when asked for.
Most definitely one of the best hotel in North Carolina, Just Beutifull
I reserved 2 nights at the Ballatyne Hotel for my wife and I. After driving for 2 hours, we arrived and were advised that the hotel was booked. We were then advised that arrangements had been made for us to stay at the Aloft and if we desired we could return the next day. We stayed the one night at Aloft which was not pleasant to say the least. We returned the next morning we returned to the Ballantyne Hotel with the hopes of enjoying at least one night. Later that evening I noticed the air conditioning was not cooling off the room. I called the front desk and I was advised that someone would be up to check the a/c out. After waiting 30 minutes, no one ever showed up. I called again. Finally, someone came to assist. We were relocated to another room due to the air conditioning at 1AM. We arrived to the new room. There was a Star Buck’s beverage that was left in the refrigerator. That wasn’t too bad, but when I decided to shower, there was hair in the shower on the wall (that was not mine or my wife’s). This made us question if the room was cleaned properly or at all.I called the front desk to inform them. Luciano called the next morning attempting to reconcile the situation. Due to the unpleasant stay he assured me that both nights would be be refunded and provided me with his contact info, should we have additional questions or desire to stay again. As a courtesy. We were invited to have brunch before we left, so we did. My wife got her food and when it was handed to her, to our disgust her pancakes had hair on them!We left and I followed up with Luciano twice leaving voicemails with no follow up whatsoever regarding the status of the refund. I’ve even called the hotel twice and was advised when I called the first time that someone from Ballantyne would be reaching out. Not so!Our experience may be isolated, I’m not sure, but it was not a reflection of what is on the website and advertised. We were even willing to consider giving this hotel another chance, since it seems that the apologies were genuine. However, I’m perplexed that the apologies for a ruined weekend did not yield a follow up? I hope no one has to experience nothing similar to what we did. We’re very disappointed.
Thank you so much Breanne and Luis for organizing our beautiful wedding and reception! You went above and beyond and I am so grateful!
Love this hotel and everything about it! Had breakfast with my aunt over the weekend at the restaurant and it was lovely. It was my first time dining indoors since the pandemic started. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were impeccable! Everything was clean and the staff was consistent with masks and even gloves. The quality of the food was just as it has always been - delicious and beautifully presented. My aunt stayed the night and raved about the cleanliness and the attentive staff. Thank you for making my first indoor dining experience so lovely and for all that your staff is doing during this time. I will be back soon!
Positive: Restaurant was open late Negative: It was not five star. The room was small and stuffy. The AC was broken. The hallway noise was loud. It was not worth the double a four and a half would have been.
I was taken here for my birthday. It was for one night but it was absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, its clean, the greeter was very nice, the carpet was super clean. The room, OMG, was great. The room had a super soft bed and the mirror in there almost made me late every time we left the room lol. I couldnt stay out of the mirror. I was very pleased with how clean the room was. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. That was amazing. Let me just say Valerie (i think thats her name) was great with the in-room dining service. It was my first time staying at this hotel and was also my first time ordering room service. Hands down the best breakfast Ive had in a long time. I would definitely recommend staying here, you will be very satisfied.
Worst experience ever! They changed the rate! No No Valet, simply overrated! Certainly not open to settle disputes. The say the calls are recorded however won’t pull the calls to see their employees promising one thing delivering another.SMH
Positive: Spacious room that felt cozy, nice and comfortable bed. Negative: The hotel for the price was a let down. The golf course was closed permanently but not mentioned on the web site. They had the cheapest toilet paper, for nearly $-- a night they could have done something as simple as used better toi
Well it wasn’t stellar and definitely not worth the price. We had a last minute chance to have a parents night out and wanted to do it big. We rented the suite (and attempted to get any spa services but they weren’t available which was disappointing but understandable), upon check in we weren’t given any information except where to park (which later found out that there’s a ton of information needed; pool updates, how to order room service, general workings of the hotel currently, etc.). The phone in the suite didn’t work and we couldnt call down to the front desk (even tried calling through our cell phones and never received anyone). We had trash left in our room from the previous occupants. When I finally went down to talk to the front desk she informed me even more things we weren’t informed about (see above for list). When we checked out the next morning we again relayed our issues we had, she went back to talk to the manager is my assumption, came back and apologized and emphasized that we had a free breakfast already on our account if we wanted to partake in it. We had never been informed, if we had we would’ve gotten up earlier to eat. But since we hadn’t, we didn’t have time, we had to pick up our son. The whole thing was disappointing, for the money spent it wasn’t worth it and we felt that our concerns were just brushed off. Next time we get a parents night out we won’t be staying there. However, we thoroughly loved the restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious.
Clean roomsNot enough rooms cleaned to allow room changes. Said they were fully booked, but the parking lot was empty? Was surprised to find Understaffed even after we called to see if all amenities were open,Restaurant great but expensive and understaffed, golf course being ripped out and under construction,Need to book spa appointment months in advance,Outdoor pool closes too early, last call 20 mins before they closed?Overall, over rated!
Waited over 20 mins to be served while seeing another party that came long after me served before. My table was not cleaned whenI sat down which is understandable since its first come first served but the busboy (who I later found out was the manager) cleaned 2 other tables and did not even look my way
Positive: The room and the service were excellent! our waiter at dinner was fabulous!! Bet waiter we¿ve had in a while. The bar was a little slow during lunch but overall good.
I was there March 2021 and I enjoyed my stay. If you enjoy quiet, classy hotels you would love it here. Staff have excellent customer service. 30 min from downtown charlotte. Hotel was clean and professional. Tea party was elegant. I will return for sure.
Was given gift card just before covid-19, during that time they closed golf course could not book appointments at spa, when they did open back up had to book month in advance and days and time very restricted, but they had no problem depleting $106.00 from card due to not using within 2 year period. Very poor corporate decision and no response from Hotel.
We did not stay on this occassion, but booked afternoon tea. Hugely overpriced for what was on offer. Offered only one tea, really?? The food was good, if not a bit limited in quantity for 2. A lack of savouries was disappointing. The servers were very attentive for the first 20 minutes we were sat down. Following that we were forgotten about. Also, they were aware we took the full force of the draft from the door but didnt offer to move us. Really poor.
One of the better Marriot hotels I have stayed in. Everything was nice and clean. The balcony in the room was quite gross though, it could use some serious cleaning.
Very nice grounds and hotel. I still think it was overpriced. Breakfast shouldnt cost $45+, lunch $50+, dinner at least $60+. Didnt order anything special, but the food was very good.
An exquisite resort and spa! We visited for our honeymoon - husband purchased the honeymoon room prep with rose petals and chocolate strawberries upon arrival. We enjoyed a full day at the spa. The lobby bar was a delight. The pools were a treat. The views were glorious. And crashing someone else’s wedding made it that much more fun. Check it out!
Wonderful experience at their luxurious Spa. Sarah was amazing and I really enjoyed her beautiful spirit! She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Tonya did a phenomenal job as well on my manicure and pedicure! Overall it was a great day of full on Pampering and relaxation. The entire staff was a delight and made my experience very enjoyable!
Positive: Great location, clean and nice amenities. The food was excellent as well.
-Delightfully divine atmosphere-Exquisite suite with exceptionally ethereal view-Perfectly brilliant brunch-Unparalleled outstanding service
The Afternoon Tea was so much fun, the hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Went for a girls long weekend with, yes, my daughter-in-laws. We had spa treatments, wonderful breakfasts and finished every evening with a soak in the hot tub. Room and accommodations were great. Service was fantastic and a big thank you to Firmino, he made our stay special.
My fiancé and I after spend a weekend at this place decided to have our engagement party at the Ballantyne resort witch was a very unfortunate idea . To start we tried to be in touch with the event manager and it seems to be impossible to talk with her or at least we had a really hard time because it took over than 8 days before they gave us an appointment so we could possibly talk to the person responsible for the events, Im not mention that there were several calls until my fiancé that is in Florida decided to give them a call to make sure of what was happening because it was already being almost two weeks without success, we finally got an appointment with the salles manager ASHLEY who after all this still arrived late for our meeting ! I dont know if she was in a big hurry but she hardly seemed to pay attention to what we were saying and not even offered different options for us .She seemed to be taking note of few things we were saying and she said in the end of the meeting that by the next following week she would e-mail me and my event planner. Believe it or not she emailed my event planner today asking if we are still interested on the date, excuse me! What about the informations that we are waiting for so long ? Where is the respect for your clients ? Are you taking my business or not ? What I can tell is that there is no respect for clients, not attention enough for clients for the price they charge . After all, talking with my clients I found out that this type of situation is something very typical at Ballantyne resort ! If I could give any notes it would be something under zero and Iam definitely taking my event somewhere else .

Elegance everywhere. ⭐ Of course somewhat subdued this year but usually have a gingerbread house competition. Afternoon tea still served with finger foods & desserts accompanied by violin music. Grounds are meticulously maintained. Delicious food.
Lovely building, excellent service, good food. The one star however is my automatic rating for hotels with cockroaches. One I found early morning after first night in middle of the room, the other I killed in the pool area. Travelers: wear shoes at this hotel.
The door mans service went way beyond expectations. Yes we were 😊 impressed.
This resort hotel was mind boggling awesome. I couldnt think of a more perfect way to spend my birthday. The spa, the pools, the tennis courts, the gallery restaurant and bar, tea time, the rooms and the view were all perfectly harmonious! I experienced the most relaxation and had fun while I was there. If you are looking for exceptionally good service, beautiful architect and grounds, extremely comfortable beds/rooms go here. You will not have a single worry while at the Ballantyne!
Excellent stay and we live their luxury robes.
Excellent layout and beautifully designed and decorated
Reserved a king deluxe in December for valentines weekend.. upon Check in was told they were overbooked and could only give us handicap (no offense meant) or 2 queens at same price ...aksed for manager..who then showed up with a whole different story than our check in girl..after asking who was telling the truth we were asked to leave or get escorted out by security. No other option given. I dont think the guy was even a manager given his unprofessional attitude and results...
Hotel was Great, had dinner in the restaurant staff was Great. The food 2 1/2 stars
Where do I start? First of all I was new to the Charlotte area from Raleigh and had no idea about where my wedding venue would be. But fortunately we went with the Ballantyne because everything was perfect. It was a beautiful event. We stayed at the Lodge which made for an intimate weekend wedding. The staff was amazing and the wedding was just lovely. Now I think I should say I am one of those people who think I can handle everything on my own because I am so organized. But I have to tell you, without Rebecca Goldberg’s help and being my day of wedding coordinator, I never would’ve pulled it off without her. Funny she was supposed to be my day of wedding coordinator but truthfully she helped me along the entire way. She was much more than a day of coordinator. She was so organized, was always there to answer my questions, and literally even after the wedding was there to finalize the details. Everything about my wedding spot on. It went so smoothly and I can’t stress enough how amazing the Ballantyne was and how they took care of us. I’ve learned one thing in this entire wedding event… The flowers are important, the DJ is important, and even the hair and make up artist is important. But what’s most important is your venue. That’s the true heart of the wedding. And again thank you Rebecca and Ballantyne for making my wedding the most beautiful wedding ever.
A great short get away spot. A great resort with all the amenities. Restaurants and shopping everywhere.
AWESOME ENJOY THE TIME SPENT WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Went to the Mad Hatter tea event at the Ballentyne. Gotta say the theme was fun, the decor was lovely. Staff extremely friendly. Gotta take a star off for value. $45 per person plus a 24% service charge was a bit much for a pot of (high end) tea. A small 3 tier tray consisting of per person... A half devilled eggs, 1 in sq of stale toast with a slice of cucumber, a slice of strawberry and a pencil eraser size blip of cream...1x2 piece of toast with a sliver of pear, cheese and 1/2 a walnut, 1/2x1 toast with chicken salad and 2 wafer thin slices of grapes, 1x1 piece of carrot cake ( could have been from Costco) as could the mini brownie with pink and purple frosting. (mad hatter theme). A mini creme puff. And a rose flavored and scented macron. Felt like I was eating perfume. There was also a shortbread cookie made like a playing card, an almond cookie ( unremarkable ) and the best part of the event?? The blueberry scone with lemon curd/ apricot ginger puree, and or devenshire cream. We were done in 25 minutes and still hungry. We asked for extra but were told its only one round. Disappointing...A for effort B for Execution D for Value.Ive been to other teas similarly priced that offered a nice bowl of soup, a bit larger platter adding a mini egg salad sandwich, other canape type offerings which I think could be added without costing them much. Think I take a pass on the next tea there.
Tea Time is the best! My Mom and Granddaughter love it
I would have given them 5 stars. However, the meal I ordered from room service was cold and the chicken was tough. Aside from that, the hotel was beautiful! The rooms were comfy, modern and clean. The staff was very accommodating. The hotel is also in a great location with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby.
Beautiful hotel with excellent amenities, and very kind staff.
Nice hotel. Cant really call it a resort hotel anymore since the golf course is being closed on 12/31 and dug up for retail and housing. Golf course was one of the nicest in town. So much for progress.
Beautiful hotel in a great location on the Outer loop of the interstate on the south side of Charlotte. They have a full service spa along with both indoor and outdoor pools. The restaurant is also very good for breakfast. Our room overlooked the beautiful golf course. Staff was friendly and prompt for any of our needs. Highly recommend!
Emailed about stay and completed their post-stay survey. No follow up.
Ate at The Gallery restaurant; excellent food, and service. Try their Manhattan.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience in the spa for Valentines Day... We definitely recommend!
Nice hotel, Bed and breakfast feel (in the rooms)
My stay at The Ballantyne hotel Was truly lovely from start to finish. My flight was changed and I came in super early, the staff was able to accommodate me immediately and get me settled in. I got the breakfast package included and on the weekends the hotel does brunch which I really enjoyed. The views and the scenery from the hotel was beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The best part for me was the afternoon tea it was so fun and cute. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I’m definitely going to be visiting again when it’s warmer so I can enjoy the beautiful outdoor pool!
Gingerbread house contest was amazing and the donations went for a great cause..Levine Childrens Hospital. It is fancy and drinks were pricey but worth a special treat
2nd time visiting this hotel, felt a bit let down in general with my experience. The robes that I remember being soft and fluffy felt like a robe made out of an old towel, not a soft robe. Also the in room dining was a bit lacking, I was told I could use the menus that were already in the room to order from, only to find out that they were only serving from the bar bites menu and the valentines day special menu, which was very pricey and came as a surprise since the front desk didnt mention that. We ordered lattes and were brought regular coffees, no cream nor sugar was brought with it. Maybe we came on a bad day, but it just wasnt the excellent experience I had a few years back, wanted to impress my girlfriend because I remember this place being an incredible place to start, she was not impressed. Hopefully the staff takes some notes as I did express my disappoinment and they said they would take my notes and speak with the owner/manager. Overall,it seemed very overpriced for the eexperience we had. Hopefully theyll improve and things will be different on my next stay.
I’ve stayed here a few times and I have to say it’s a beautiful hotel and the staff are very professional. For a luxury hotel the prices seem to be fair and reasonable, I would definitely stay here again 👍🏻
Spectaculer hotel. Went for the gingerbread house display. Thought the event was well managed. I always feel special when Im at this hotel.
Stayed at the Ballantyne for a conference. Beautiful hotel, great service. My room was large, well appointed. Fitness center is one of the best Ive seen at a hotel like this. Wish I had time to enjoy the pool or spa! Food is good though wish there was more variety on the room service menu. Have a shuttle to take you around the area which is really nice!
Wonderful spa and restaurant. Truly a luxury with impeccable service.
Took my wife for her birthday everything was amazing the spa was absolutely fantastic the best massage ever Room service was great a lot of good words to the chef the food was really good recommend really high quality.
We were fortunate enough to have an opportunity to have my daughter’s wedding reception at The Ballantyne. Dee was awesome in getting us all set up! Hannah, the event coordinator, was amazing!!! Not a detail got missed!!! She made everything easy!!! It was great to work with someone who we felt really cared about our event! What an asset to your hotel! The reception was magical.....all of the staff was wonderful....the food was incredible...it could not have been more perfect!!
It was beautiful inside! Very large! Just went to see the gingerbread house display.
Great atsmorephere in the bar libby area.
Absolutely horrible. I enjoyed my stay at first but then left to find out that I had been charged for 2 bottles of wine that I did not drink! I called in order to dispute the charges and the man who worked the front stated he would call back. I never got a call back or my issue resolved. So I was charged for items I did not use. Make sure that they do not charge you for items you did not use!!! Make sure to keep an eye on your account with the card you place on file. Will be disputing with my bank. If I could give 0 stars I would.
The room was beautiful, warm, and very clean! The bathroom was something I could only dream of. I was there for a workshop and the meeting space was very pretty, calm, quiet and well attended. The restaurant is pricey and I did like that they had a shuttle to take you within a mile of the hotel. The hotel, room and the grounds are beautiful and well cared for! I enjoyed my stay very much! They honored my requests too.
Extremely relaxing and luxurious environment! Rooms are comfortable with a great bathroom space.
I was completely blown away by this hotel and the entire experience we had at The Ballantyne. By far, this was the best experience I have had at a hotel anywhere. It was immaculate, we were treated wonderfully by every member of the staff. The spa was luxurious, the pool and servers at the pool were spectacular. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. There were so many beautiful places to lounge and look over the immaculate grounds. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the CLT area. It was truly a wonderful experience.
#1!!!!..Great place.we will be back.thank you!
Keisha gave a FANTASTIC massage and Grace did an AMAZING job on my nails.
Stayed here a few times and always enjoyed our stay. Lobby is chic and inviting. Spa is nice and relaxing but Saturdays are super busy. If you want full services make sure to book in advanced. The Galley Restaurant is pretty good but pricey. We’ll be coming back to try their Afternoon Tea.
I live in Charlotte and wanted a night away from my chaotic life. And I got it! The spa is a fave of mine but I’d never stayed at the hotel. Everything in the room was spotless, crisp and modern. The room service was prompt and reasonably priced and included a beautiful fresh rose! Loved it all. Will do again.
Negative: Housekeeping failed to clean the room and provide towels after being asked to do so teice
We enjoyed our spa weekend, lobby tea service, and the plentiful amenities. The concierge and shuttle team were consistently kind and amazing throughout our entire stay. We look forward to our return. My almost 90 year-old grandmother loved the floral touches and she immensely enjoyed her girls weekend; shes quite agile for her age, but the staff went out of the way to make sure she was comfortable. As a bonus for those traveling with older guests, there is plenty seating throughout the hotel for walking breaks and rests. This hotels team is not only professional and well-trained, but you can tell that they love their work.
We stayed in the Cottage which is separate from the hotel. it accommodates up to 8 people and its gorgeous. Great for a family reunion or wedding or college reunion or any type of event. The Spa was very nice as well. The hotel grounds were very pretty. They even have tea in the afternoon that was really cool.I would definitely stay again.
Our stay was wonderful, the rooms we’re beautiful & the service was fantastic! From valet parking, to helping us with our belongings and even running to get to our car so that we didn’t have to wait for long. They did not disappoint. We stayed for two nights for our honeymoon. Room Service was great and also the Gallery Restaurant was fantastic. A little pricey, but the food was worth it. Hotel was very nice and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year for our anniversary.
I enjoy staying at The Ballantyne Hotel. The staff is always helpful. Their food is always good.
Incredible property. They are taking all the right precautions, but still providing exceptional service. And the golf course is superb!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Ballantyne. It is a busy and bustling hotel with lots of activity due to weddings, etc. Nevertheless we had excellent service, and it was easy to navigate. The rooms were stylish and well appointed. We would’ve liked to have had a coffee maker in the room. And perhaps a mini fridge that could be used for something other than stocked hotel goods/mini bar items. The bathroom was large with very nice fragranced toiletries provided. I had a massage and it was heavenly. My friend had a hair salon appt and they did a great job. You may use the spa facilities if you are a spa client- sauna, steam room, etc. The spa is spacious, with calming decor and lots of conveniences provided. Treat yourself to a service if you can. It’s a lovely hotel and I look forward to staying there again.
Had a great stay! All of the hotel staff were so friendly. Covid restricted pool use but I would rather be safe. Room was clean and beautiful.
