I love a good vintage shoe, but have had a couple unlucky pairs lately with the heel caps breaking apart my first time wearing them. Thankfully Dean’s Repair is right around the corner! I felt comfortable leaving my shoes with them, and I’m so pleased with the results. For 2 pairs needing the heel caps replaced for both, it took them a week and was very affordable for the quality of service! Will definitely be returning!

I went here for heel-tap repair and general shoe-sprucing. The heel repair seemed decent (though I havent worn the shoes yet and been able to test out the work). The owners are REALLY lovely people, but the prices are a bit steep for JUST replacing the tap of the heel. I relocated here from a place where prices are typically much more expensive generally. They would charge less for the same service, and when I got my shoes back, the entire shoe looked brand new. That wasnt the case with this place, which gave me pause about returning in the future. I recall being told that they would attempt to make the shoes look the best they could, but that just wasnt the case. By doing a few things on my own after I got the shoes back, they already look better. I will definitely be seeking another business for all-around shoe care.

I have a few pairs of Allen Edmonds that I wear everyday at work. This is where I go when I need anything done, good quality at a reasonable price.I believe buying high quality shoes and keeping them maintained is much better than buying disposable low quality shoes. I have one pair that lasted 10 years in a regular rotation.

Being my first experience coming in I was very impressed with the time they take with the customers and the quality of their work. I had a small repair needed on a purse and they took the time to fix it while I waited and at no cost. I will definitely be back and will tell all my friends about them.

The repairs are great. They do awesome work. The only thing I didnt like was that they do not wear masks during the pandemic nor do they seem to require their customers to wear them. But its their business and its your decision to give them your business. The hours arent ideal but that have a reason for the reduction. Other than that, they are super sweet.

Upon completion as I went to the register the gracious lady told me that they don’t charge for this service. I was shocked! Ive been meaning to write a review for a long time. Have visit this business three times over the past few years. Each time I had brought in something that was not even shoe related, but they were leather products, and each time they fixed and repaired what needed to be done. Highly recommend this place. The service received was excellent and the staff I have dealt with were both knowledgeable and polite.

I was hoping it damage was repairable, and that I could get them back in a week or two, given the holiday rush...and he fixed them! right then- while Holly and I chatted...they are a gift to our community.

Both of the stars are for Mohammed, who worked on three pairs of our shoes and was very polite, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had several problems with the female owner. We had actually been trying to have these shoes repaired for weeks but the shop is almost never open and wasnt taking new customers for at least a couple of weeks due to family illness. We dropped off our shoes on February 2nd and were told it would be a couple of weeks. These things are worth noting because we had already been fairly patient. Today is February 19th and we still havent heard anything so my boyfriend gave them a call and was told that they dont ever call to tell you your order is ready, only email and that it usually goes to spam. To quote the owner she said we send the email and it just goes wherever. Upon checking spam we still didnt have an email from them. Despite this being both sloppy and unprofessional we went to pick up our order with a good attitude. Two of the pairs were perfect but the third was a pair of leather heels in a warm caramel color that needed heel replacements. I was horrified to see that the light colored leather now had what looked like black greasy marks all over them. Politely we asked what had happened to them and the owner seemed very impatient with the question like it was silly, and patronizingly stated that this was from them being shined. At this point I was genuinely confused because I had not requested that this pair of shoes be shined I had only asked for a heel repair. My boyfriend and I could not understand why a business would give my shoes back after a service looking much worse than they had originally. Still persisting with politeness we asked if it could be fixed. This is when Mohammed stepped in and cheerfully said of course he could fix that right now. In about two minutes he had them looking perfect. I find it very strange that they would be given to me looking hideous with dark black smears all over when apparently it was very easy to make that go away and give them back looking perfect. The woman then sniped that all shoes are shined and you have to tell them if you dont want that, while practically rolling her eyes in my face. Its also worth staying that she was not wearing a face mask and didnt even have one on her person. Guys, misunderstandings happen in business all the time and its no big deal. I would have given five stars to a family business despite the many snafus if the owner could only have had some manners. Is it so much to ask to be treated with a little respect? Mohammed seems to have customer service down so maybe he can give the owner some pointers. To add insult to injury as we got in the car I could see through the window that she seemed to be complaining about us to another customer as we left, with them craining their necks to turn around and stare at us. Its been a long time since Ive been treated so rudely.

I had a great experience at Deans. Had never heard of it and was just googling Shoe Repair near me. I had ruined a pair of Cole Haan loafers or so I thought and in a rush to either buy a new pair or do without them at all on an upcoming business trip. The first store I stumbled upon had a sign on their door at 9:45am that said they would be back at 11am. Figured Id give Deans a shot. It was about 15 minutes away from where I was but I wanted to give it one last shot before I gave up.Boy was I in for a treat. The owners were both delightful and understanding of my situation and immediately took my shoes to the back. We chit chatted for about 3 minutes and they brought my shoes to me looking BRAND NEW. They also told me this one was on them!! I was in complete shock. After chatting with them for another 10 minutes or so, I walked out completely satisfied and relieved that I had gone to Deans.If you need your shoes repaired, GO TO DEANS. 5 STARS

Edit x2: great customer service. The shoes were just getting old but they did their best and am so happy with the results!2021 edit. Flash forward to today. Soles are coming right off! Did I pay $80 for just a limited time of wear?It cost $80 for them to do a half sole on my boots I got from DSW. They said they’re going to add onto the heel as well. After giving me the quote I said do you think the shoes will hold up to it. I didn’t even pay $80 for these boots. Without even looking at it she said oh they’ll be fine. So obviously my concern is I just spent $80 on a pair of soles on shoes that might not last the season. However definitely good service. Little bit of a wait and I had to call and check on the status but overall everything looks good. Fingers crossed!

This store appears to cater to the more affluent type of clients and higher end shoes. I went in based on Google reviews but the store owners quickly dismissed any notion of fixing my cheap looking items, which happened to be old and had more sentimental value than dollar value. I was told they could not repair the items, but I could tell they just did not think it was worth their while. So I left. They were courteous but not overly warm. I knew of another shoe repair place behind Park Road Shopping center, so I went there. The South Korean gentleman who has an atelier from another era took a look at my items, said he could repair both and quoted a price for both, which were not cheap but not exorbitant either. So, as a customer, I really see no point in why someone has a shoe repair shop when they cannot figure out a way to serve a customers needs. If you are that good, you should be able to fix anything. If you dont have high end shoes and items, go somewhere else. I cannot comment on their quality of work since I never got to experience it. Good luck!

I popped into Deans today with an old pair of insulated Chippewa work boots that I love and have owned for 20 years. Sadly, the leather tore along a seam and was coming apart. I was hoping to purchase some type of glue to seal them at the tear. Dean took one look and said glue wouldnt hold. He asked me to take off the boot and proceeded to sew them back together. I walked out with a repaired boot. Definitely will recommend Dean to everyone I know.

I was visiting NC from Texas and one of my boots lost a heel. After Googling “show hospital” and calling everyone on the list, Dave’s Shoe Repair owner answered the phone and was incredibly helpful. I took my boots and they fixed them on the spot. The owner even went a step further and painted my heel to lessen the appearance of the scuff marks. Even though you may not care about customer service and may just be looking for someone to fix your shoes, they provided both, shoe repair and great customer service. I recommend using Dave’s Shoe Repair for any of your shoe, purse or leather fixing needs.

Recently I noticed that a pair of my ballroom dancing shoes needed some attention. They had been tucked away a few years and when I got them out of the closet, I noticed they were peeling. The outer layer or skin was peeling off. I thought they were leather, but obviously they were not. They were a nude color and valuable in that I could wear them with any dancing outfit. Having just moved to the Charlotte area 3 months ago, I had no idea where to go for help. I googled shoe repairs and read all the positive reviews about Deans Shoe Repair so I thought Id pay them a visit. After looking at my shoes, Moe scratched his head and went to work. He used a spray dye that matched the shoes perfectly and they look pretty darn good! He did this while I waited and charged a nominal fee. Holly and Moe were very friendly and helpful. Amazing place! Im a shoe addict and have many shoes worth a decent amount of money. When one of my favorites needed some fixing, my sister in law sent me here. I couldnt be happier! A small button had broken off of one of my leather boots, so I took it to Deans to see if they could help. They were able to provide a replacement button and repair it on the spot (literally, within 30 seconds). When I asked how much I owed, he told me not to worry about it. Of course I had to leave a small tip for such amazing, friendly customer service. I was extremely happy with my experience and will definitely be visiting again in the future with my shoe repair needs!

I am in the sales industry and that means that I wear dress shoes and put them through a pounding being on the go every day. I brought in two pairs of shoes to Deans last week - one for a repair on stitching that had come undone and I needed an emergency repair before wearing them to a meeting that day, and the other a new pair of shoes to be stretched to fit properly. Incredible customer service. I wont go anywhere else. I brought in a pair of my girlfriends patent leather Kate Spade heels from which her dog had chewed apart the bottom of one heel. Not only was Deans more than willing to take on the challenge, they went out of their way to repair the heel, find a matching fingernail polish to touch up the patent leather and produce it all in time for me to give her as a surprise Christmas gift. Shoe repair places are usually a bit hit-and-miss. I have very good leather shoes, so I wanted to be careful where I took them to be repaired. I found Deans Shoe Repair on Google, and they had the best reviews for repair shops in Charlotte. I brought my shoes there with some trepidation, but my fears were unfounded. They provided great customer service, and my shoes havent looked this good since I bought them! The Italian leather soles wont wear out quickly, and they looked great. I like to use family-owned businesses when I can, and I would highly recommend this one. I will definitely be using this place in the future!

FINALLY! A decent, knowledgeable shoe repair in central Charlotte. I used to have to drive all the way out to Mr. Bakers for adequate shoe repair (says the NYC shoe snob) and then Mr. Baker moved even further out. Mo knows his stuff and his wife is just delightful with customers. Thank goodness they are in Charlotte.

They did an awesome job on putting new outer soles on my Timberland boots. The 2 pair of Nike boots was more of a challenge for them because of the soles are like a tennis shoe soles and were coming apart and I wanted them repaired. My Nike boots are 11 years old but the upper part of the boots are in still in great condition. I will see how long they hold up.

The best experience that you could have with a business. They replaced the heels on my 1000 mile boots quickly, affordably and they look perfect. They also polished my boots for me. Best shoe (or boots) repair shop everrrrr!!!!! I went to this repair shop based on the great reviews hoping that they can fix my favorite boots (this was about a week ago). I was greeted by a nice lady and a gentleman (who I assumed is Dean) to see how he can fix my boots. He quickly checked it, did his magic, and not even 5 minutes it was done! He even made sure that the other straps were securely fastened to make sure I wouldnt have that problem anymore. All this without charging me anything! Just amazing! Deans Shoe Repair is a fantastic shop, they clearly take great pride in their craftsmanship and customer service. I brought in a military style rucksack with a broken shoulder strap (training with a ruck full of bricks will do that), and within 5 minutes the strap was very securely reattached and reinforced. I will be back with other shoe and bag repairs, their professionalism and quality is inspiring.

I went in because I had scuffed the toes up of my brand new frye boots. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile and a friendly atmosphere. Within 5 minutes they had polished my boots and made them look like when I had opened the box. I cant describe just how great the customer service and workmanship was. Ill definitely be returning any time my boots need a touch up or any work for that matter.

Seriously, what does it take for someone to get a 30 in Googles score? This business has 35 reviews: all give this guy a perfect score: 3 out of 3. Hes amazing. I once had a teacher who refused to give out an A+ even when someone scored 100% on a test. Google must be the same way. This guy deserves that rare A+. Once you meet him, youll know why. Hell knock your socks off ... and then put some beautiful shoes on them feet.
