This company is very unprofessional. Customer service is horrible.I notice this worker walking in our yard and taking our recycle container. I asked him his policy on confiscating recycle containers for those that no longer have services with them. We paid for the containers. We didnt get a notice. The sanitation worker then said we dont need to send a notice. These are ours. I called the office to speak with someone about the policy and the lady seemed really incompetent. Here are some pictures of him basically telling me to kiss his you know what.
Since we moved into our home several years ago, we have received excellent service and no issues. We read through their expectations on how to leave the containers out, the shifting of days because of holidays, and our payments have not been late. Every time we call for anything that needs to be discussed, we always receive courteous and helpful people on the other end. We have missed getting the containers out on time and even called to ask if there was a way to have them stop by on their way back through and they have done it. Every person on the truck is friendly and theyre doing their job in a very professional manner. We live in Fort Mill and have heard horror stories from other companies that dont pick up the garbage for days, but ours has always been picked up on time every time.

Always appreciate speaking with the two in the office - they answer all of my questions that I may have and if they dont know the answer will find out the answer and promptly call me back. The drivers also wave to my son every week, he always loves to see them come through in the trucks.
It is nice to know in this day and age that I can count on the consistently excellent service that I pay for from Select Sanitation.
I have been using Select Sanitation for years and have had nothing but excellent service. The staff is always so wonderful when I call in with any concerns, and the drivers are always so kind to myself and my kids! I always recommend them when it comes to trash services!! A+

The service here is awful. The people in the offices here do not know how to run their business effectively, they cant provide service without a minimum of 2 weeks notice even if they are collecting trash from neighbors on both sides of you. The staff here does not know how to problem solve, and does not care to try to help customers. At one point their staff actually pointed me to a competitor because they cant get their service started quickly enough. I tried to remedy the situation by offering to come to their location in person to expedite the process and get a can from them but they cant even manage to offer that service. If you choose these guys you will also be choosing poor service.Update: I received a harassing phone call from the owner since posting this review where she told me I should not be allowed to post my negative review because I did not have service with them. She is correct, I did not choose to have service from them because the interactions were so poor when trying to initiate service.
I have had my garbage and recycling taken care of for two years by this company. Everything was great until I watched the recycle guy open my recycle bags and decide he wanted to not pick them up. So I called to complain and the question I get was well was it recyclable? Hmm why in the hell would I put it on the side to be recycled if it wasnt?! I mean seriously. So now my recyclables are in the dumpster maybe theyll take them that way. Pathetic
I agree with many people here... Customer Service is an all time low... Got a text message saying my bill was 2 weeks past due and NEVER received a bill at all... Told me they have an automatic system and that it was the post offices fault but then told me other customers complained about not getting a bill... Sounds like a Select Sanitation problem not the post office... When I asked to speak to someone else bc the person had an attitude, she informed me that she was already cursed out twice today (I understand why) and that there was noone else bc she was the OWNER named Lisa!!! Poor customer service from the Owner!!!
I actually think these 5 star reviews are staged! No one seemed concerned about addressing our concern regarding the unprofessional incident that happened a few days ago with the sanitation worker in the photos. We called to address the matter but it was brushed off. You should consider training employees on how to speak to customers and not be disrespectful when addressed with concerns. The guy in the photos is RUDE!! Our problem wasnt with Select Sanitation initially, but it is now. Hes a reflection of your business. Lisa leaves a voice message more concerned about the photos being posted and wanting to close the account, rather than requesting a call back to address the matter. Well look for other Sanitation services Lisa.
Customer service is great. We started pickup with them this summer. The first pick up date, they missed our trash can. I called and left a voicemail after hours, and was contacted first thing the next morning. They sent a truck out to pick up the trash at no cost to us.Theyre timely and affordable. I havent had a bad experience yet!

Worse company I have ever had picking up trash.... they will not fix issues all they don’t care to give good service at all.
