This was my first time using the assistance of a recruiter. AccruePartners made it a smooth process . My recruiter, Erica Champion was extremely knowledgeable, professional and thorough in explaining the details of the position and what the company was looking for. Erica went above and beyond to make the experience positive and successful. Im ultimately pleased and grateful with the outcome.

I’ve used recruiters in the past but this was by far the easiest one to work with. I would consider myself pretty high-maintenance and I have a lot of different requests, but the guy I worked with listened to everything I said, accommodated everything I asked for, and never complained once. It was, by far, the most accommodating, professional recruiter I’ve ever worked with.

I looked to Accrue when I needed a job in my field but was struggling to find one. They really went above and beyond and helped me find the perfect job. I was able to contact them at any point and voice concerns or tell them something new or interesting I’d figured out about the type of job I was looking for. They were always open to listening and were very attentive to my needs. The whole process didn’t last very long and before I knew it, I had a job like I’d only ever dreamed of having. I see now why people use recruiters — I know exactly who I’m going to turn to if I ever find myself in that situation again!

This is the perfect way to work as a contractor and make sure its a great fit before committing permanently to an employer. Accrue has excellent communication and follow up responses, professional staff (shout-out Lizzy), and high paying hourly rates ($30-60+ hour). They explained in detail every job description before setting up interviews. My resume was submitted to several large major employers and I am enjoying a 6 month or longer contract. I like my current assignment and I know that if it ends, I will feel assured that the Accrue Team will assist me in finding another exceptional role. If you are going the contractor route, its important to have a team that is really working for you. Thank you Accrue. 😊

They hound you to set up an interview on a company they want to keep private. After the interview, they tell you youre not selected but did not give any feedback. When I emailed the recruiter and asked why I wasnt selected, she never responded back. I guess she already got her incentive. But no response only has me believe this private company is basically looking for a certain type of candidate because I was highly qualified for this position.

The recruiters were extremely nice and helpful, they were really quick about getting me submitted and interviewed for a position in my field! I interviewed with one of their South Charlotte clients on a Monday and completely knocked the interview out of the ballpark! The interview went so well that client immediately contacted Accrue and offered me the position!I went in the office completed all of my on boarding, took my drug test, and was scheduled to begin my new position on the following Monday! I received tons of emails from everyone in the office welcoming me to the team, so I thought I was all set.Two days before I was scheduled to start I receive an email in regards to the background check. I have one misdemeanor on my record which I informed the recruiter about in the beginning. I specifically told him that there was a chance it would show because it’s in the process of being expunged. His exact words were “ Don’t worry about it, this client doesn’t have a strict policy, so you’ll be fine”. Well, I wasn’t fine and they didn’t allow me to start, so I wasted time, energy, and gas. I give them 2 stars because they were extremely nice so I feel they deserve that much but they should be upfront with clients because had he been upfront with me from the beginning I wouldn’t have wasted my time! I feel when you have a very strong candidate with as much experience as I have you should run all the checks prior to job placement! Saves everyone the frustration and headache. So, if you have a small infraction on your background don’t even waste your time with this company!

I am truly grateful for the opportunity that AccruePartners was able to secure for me. Ambers diligence landed me with the chance to prove my skills to an employer that I am more than excited to start working for. Not to mention, they were quite effective by keeping me in the loop for other potential employers (giving me feedback from interviews and meetings) to let me know exactly where I stood with them. The entire staff has been gracious and genuinely appear to be excited for my new role as well. We set a scheduled time to talk via phone at 2pm. Well, 2pm came and went, and I waited around 15 minutes to take the call from Dan, which never came. Half and hour later I get a text message from Dan indicating he was sorry for being late and for me to return his call....How sad....Dan said its been a busy day....a direct quote....What a first impression by AccruePartners... I worked with this talent agency back in 2016, and I could not stop raving about their greatness. I gave the team great praise and referred everyone I knew to them, rather they had a job or not! I wanted to support Accrue, and help to build a positive brand for them through word of mouth.Fast forward 3 years I find myself back in the Charlotte job market, and ofcorse I go to the number one team, in my mind, for assistance. I reach out to some old college friends and my resume get passed along. Eventually a Lauren, who works with direct hire in account playable, accounting, and customer service roles contact me. First she made a phone interview appointment with me and never called, I emailed her and she claimed to have been running around town all morning looking for a doctor. The next day she called, we spoke, it was not good at all. Everything started off normal - I am very detailed in conversation with her and she is often distracted, even stating “ I’m sorry my coworker is trying to get my attention”, after fading out of conversation for a few seconds while I was talking about my job history. Then she snaps you can hear the attitude in her voice, and ask what am I looking for, as I explain it to her she beats around the bush of telling me she has nothing to offer, she sounds rushed. At the end of the conversation rather than giving me next steps she said she cannot help me because I was not detailed enough and that I should check their site. I thank her for her time and she ended the conversation with “sure” before abruptly hanging up the phone. For the first time I am writing a review, and no longer spreading the good word about this company. I understand they had some internal changes, and they might not have been for the better.

When I first was in contact with AccruePartners, I had high hopes of being able to find a new career path quickly. Danielle scheduled a phone call with me, later in the afternoon after connecting on LinkedIn. When she didnt call, I sent her a message asking if this was still a good time. She messaged back an hour later, then finally rescheduled a call. We spoke and all seemed fine. I told her what companies I were interested in, and she contacted the hiring manager for me. The hiring manager was interested, so we set up a phone call with her. However, it had to be rescheduled because the hiring manager was busy, and we pushed the call time up. It felt very rushed and I did not feel it went well because of her concern with time. I called Danielle afterwards and she said she would contact the hiring manager and get back to me. It has been a month and Danielle doesnt answer any emails or messages. I have emailed her three separate occasions since then, and have not been given any additional information on that interview, nor any other job openings. I have spoken with another rep, and she has called to ask if I would be interested in a job, just to never contact again. Completely unprofessional.

Not the best experience. I was looking to relocate to the Charlotte area from Columbia, SC which I expressed to the recruiter. He immediately became disengaged with the conversation after learning this would not be a local transition. I would correspond via email mostly, often without a response in return. And the same goes for calls. Id liked to think Im well diversed and qualified for many positions they post... as the recruiter seemed pretty excited too to call me about an opportunity initially until he discovered it would require relocating. I just felt negative vibes from the recruiter in the the minimum time speaking with him that was much different than other recruiters Ive worked with. So I ultimately sent an email severing ties .... there are other great recruiting agencies that exist to deal with this one. I almost took it personal...it really felt like the recruiter was spiteful in some ways with returning phone calls and emails and seemed to selectively limit his help to discourage job searching efforts. I dont understand why and maybe my observations are incorrect but it certainly felt that way.

I only ended up working with Accrue on finding a new employment opportunity after having an interview with a company and then getting the dreaded runner up call about the position. They apparently used Accrue for their recruiting purposes but I had interviewed with them via some personal networking. That company gave them my name and info and I had hoped theyd be in touch. I waited a few days and decided to reach out to them after waiting long enough. I called Erin Godla, the contact they gave me, for three straight weeks and got nothing but voicemail. Three weeks seemed like a lot so I stopped calling. About a week after that, my calls were finally returned by Erin and we set up a time to meet later that week.I was coming out of a teaching position in public schools and thought I could be a great fit for anything admin related, executive assistant type jobs because I am extremely organized. I had even done some volunteering to boost my resume in my time between jobs with some nonprofit groups and expressed a lot of interest in that industry. They completely ignored these facts and somehow we ended up talking about an accounting position. The position was for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator at Carolina Handling. Just by the way they were really pushing for this position, I could tell they must have had this position open for a long time. It was April and I had left my job in March so was almost desperate and reluctantly took that interview and got the temp position as an AR coordinator. It was miserable. The environment there was terrible. The office was unfriendly. This was really no fault of Accrues or Erins but it was not at all was I was looking for and I felt like I hadnt been heard. I was happy to have a paying job but I knew I was going to keep looking.I was soon offered a full time, permanent position I was actually interested in with another company, again through my own networking, and gave my notice to Erin directly. I found it unprofessional that she asked How much are they going to pay you in comparison to us?Im only giving them three stars here because they found me a job quickly and I was hired on the spot. But much like other staffing agencies, their communication is terrible.

Disclaimer: I have worked for a recruiting agency. As I began my job search, a colleague said Accrue partnered with a company that needed a recruiter of my specialization (engineering). I emailed the recruiter at Accrue on a Tuesday evening to express interest. The next morning I received a missed call, voicemail and email from recruiter A at Accrue. By lunch had another email and voicemail from recruiter A from Accrue. I was at work and didnt have time to call back. The next morning I received a missed call and email from recruiter B about the same job. I tried to call back around 430 and left a voicemail. That Thursday morning, a different recruiter from Accrue, recruiter C texted me to set up a time to speak. Someone I have never communicated with decided the best route was to text me even though I was emailing other recruiters at Accrue.I spoke with recruiter C, a divisional director. I thought this individual would know what he was doing as he explained the opportunity to me. I was waiting for the portion where he verified my skills via challenging questions, a behavioral best interview, checking references, simply anything to validate my resume and experience. He did nothing except ask for my pay rate and try to figure out where else I was interviewing. He then told me his clients name and submitted me. At first I questioned whether this client would really see my information, but the recruiter texted me a few times after so I could help him write a summary of my experience.I received no job description and summary of benefits while on contract, even though I asked. This was on Thursday. By next Wednesday, I had heard nothing from recruiters A, B, or C. I reached out to ask what was happening and for the job description and benefits summary. I was assured I would hear back soon and I would receive the emailed information shorly.By Saturday morning I had received nothing so I emailed the first recruiter, recruiter A, about what was happening.Monday morning she informed me that I had been submitted, but their client had made an offer on Saturday (the same day I sent an email). After working for a large multi-billion dollar company, I know that companies dont make offers on Saturdays. In addition to this, I was informed that Accrues reference check policy and virtually their entire screening process is conducted after their client agrees to a phone screen. What?!? Thats like driving your kid 4 hours to summer camp and then checking his bag when you get there to make sure he has enough bug repellent and underwear. You are supposed to do these things well before the process gets started. Will definitely look elsewhere should I need help with employment.
