Nearly all of my information was retrieved . This was very important because I was working up my income tax for my ranch and lost all my data. Wish it were not so expensive but just glad to get the info back. My contact was very attentive and answered all correspondence immediately.

Dancing at my wedding, him holding my newborn son, family gatherings, everything was gone. To make matters worse, every picture of my son was on there as well!!!! Secure Data saved the day. Spoke with Eric initially who was very pleasant and professional. I told him I didnt know why my drive wasnt showing up when plugged in. He told me they do a free diagnostic and theyll let me know what wrong and how much to fix it. A few days later I got an email that diagnostic was complete. I called in asking for Eric but I was told he wasnt available so I proceeded to ask what the problem was with the drive. His response is the reason this a 1 star review. He could tell me what was wrong with the drive whether it was a virus, physically damaged, wrongly formatted etc but wanted me to pay over $3,000+ to get the data from the drive. Then what was the point of diagnostic? It went from great service with Eric to pushy sales with the agent.

In a blink of an eye I lost my portable Hard Drive. Didnt know what to do. I was referred to Secure Data. And Scott McMacken was brilliant. He contacted me via both Email and phone. My external hardrive stopped responding. I thought I got most of my information the hard drive previously but could not be sure. I decided to talk to secure data recovery services. After a quick on line questionnaire, I actually got a very friendly phone call wanting to know if there were any questions regarding the process. They answered everything. I was to drop the hardrive off with one off their local partners and have them ship it to one of those their clean rooms tho be diagnosed. After they diagnosed the unit, they would give me an estimate. If they were not able to recover the data, I would not be charged. I would only pay for return shipping if I wanted the drive back. Once they got the drive, the support did not stop. They answered every question and made me feel very comfortable. The entire process lasted a few weeks. They were able to recover the data from my dead hardrive... I got a listing of all the files, only one file was shown to be corrupt. I am currently waiting for my new hard drive to arrive. The entire process was smooth and I was always kept aware of where we were in the process and the support team was never farther than a phone call away. I highly recommend using thier service if you find your self in this unfortunate situation!

My experience with Secure Data is probably one of the more atypical ones, to say the least. I wandered in to their office not really knowing much and just wanting to get files recovered from my macbook that I accidentally destroyed. I had my laptop shipped off and they got back to me fairly quickly about the repairs and costs. Initially the repair costs were very much out of my price range, but they were able to work with me to come to an agreement that benefited us both. Great experience with Secure Data Recovery with an internal HDD where the drive was mechanically ok, but the computer would no longer recognize the drive. Shipped the drive to their lab, got a quote back quickly, and all forms were signed through their portal to authorize work and make payment.
