I have never had an open account with UPS. I mostly use USPS and FedEx for our shipping needs. When I do use UPS, I simply go to the store and pay for the service right then and there. Imagine my surprise when I received a collections letter from this company alleging that I have a balance of nearly $500 with UPS. By the way, this company also got my business name wrong. They are a scam. Call UPS if you believe you have an open balance, but do NOT send these scammers a dime of your hard-earned money.
SCAM!!! CALL UPS DIRECTLY! DO NOT USE AN ACCOUNT - PAY FOR EVERY LABEL AS YOU SHIP THEM. THATS WHAT WE DO AND THEY ARE STILL TRYING THIS!UPS TOLD ME THEY DONT USE A COLLECTIONS COMPANY, THEY HAVE IN HOUSE PEOPLE TO MAKE COLLECTION CALLS AND MOST ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN CLOSED AS THERE WAS A DATA BREACH. CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT TODAY AND PAY FOR EVERY SHIPMENT AS ONE TIME DEAL. INCONVENIENCE BUT WAY SAFER.DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY !
Synter strives to provide the best services possible to customers while following all laws and regulations.Synter has a very good employment program. Will work with employees having personal issues instead of just terminating them. Great benefits! Most of the bad reviews are misunderstandings due to how Synters customers process debt.
Although I deleted the first email this company sent, I decided to do some due diligence like all there review replys say to do. And a matter of fact I as able to find an old invoice that was set up on automatic payments, but that card had expired. The invoice was eventually closed out by UPS and soon after I received an email from this company. I do think the email I received could be done up more professionally, however this company is legitimate.
This company is a SCAM! Do not pay! Call UPS directly if you have an account!
Also received email claiming to be Synter Resources. A debt collector for a UPS account. I have never had an account with UPS or any shipping company. Scam alert.Edit: I was reading responses from company on other 1 star reviews. Sad. The company is either being hacked and/or cloned by scammers. But instead of helping those of us getting threatening emails they are chastising the victims. It is not my responsibility to call and resolve your issue.
Clearly from the reviews someone is spoofing Synter and sending out fake UPS collections. Not sure why Synter is allowing this to continue. We dont ship with UPS, we use USPS, and if we did ship with UPS we would pay it up front. Yet we have collections notices from Synter for precisely the same amount (a little under $60) that everyone else is mentioning. Its an obvious scam, not sure why Synter continues to defend it instead of working on figuring out who is spoofing them.
Total scam I never shipped with UPS nor do I have an account with them. How can I owe a company money if I never used their services? Make it make sense, total scam stop bothering honest people making a honest living.
Never returns calls, never picks up, supposedly UPS Transferred something here as they couldnt auto bill my credit card, but since no one at Synter has returned any calls, or ever answered the phone, it would seem the consensus that this company operates in a anti-consumer manner is well founded as you can see from the prior reviews. For the Largest in North America, they could employ people to actually pick up a phone or return a call once in awhile.Edit: Looking at company responses, they are disclosing the debts of reviewers... Per Section 805(b) of the FDCPA I believe theyd be violating this with their owner responses disclosing that some of the people here are in debt collection.
Update: Synter Resources replied to my first review continuing to hurt my reputation. I have evidence from UPS that charges were fraudulent and not from my account. I have emailed and called! Slimy debt collectors.Review #2. So I have been researching this issue of fraudulent UPS shipping charges for a week. There is definitely fraud going on. It is not originating with Synter Resources, but they are making no effort to help stop it either. I finally got someone at UPS to admit the original charges were associated with Shopify. My Shopify store had 0 sales so it is literally impossible for me to have a legitimate shipping charge with UPS.Strength in numbers! Keep reviewing and complaining.
We keep getting bogus calls from a debt collector for FedEx. Our business does not owe any outstanding balances. How to make the calls stop???
My business NEVER used fed-ex/ups servicefor send ANY thingwe only receive PREPAID packagesi got a call from themfor collecting debt for fed-exand i have just over $1000 past due claim?please explain if you are notSCAMMERS
Scam if they call hang up lady Karen charged my card 3 times she keeps hanging up on me now
Scammers. Charged my card somehow, phone number never answered, vm full. How are they allowed to operate?
SCAM ALERT!! They are 100% SCAM Synter Resource Group, LLC..They are 100% FRAUD they called me and email saying we have UPS past overdue invoice. We have UPS account with configured auto pay all invoices and when I checked my account it was up to date and there were no due invoice and I talk to UPS account department they saying we do not have any due invoice.
My wife has worked for Synter Resource Group for 2+ years and has found this job challenging and rewarding. It is a very goal driven and customer service oriented company. They encourage work/home life balance. She feels very supported by her Managers. This company provides great benefits, 401K and PTO. They offer extra incentives from bonuses to contests and team outings that keep their employees engaged and show their appreciation. I am happy my wife works for such a great company like Synter Resource Group.
Adding to those calling this company a SCAM and phishing scheme. We work directly with FedEx for years and are never past due. Nice try and get a real job!!UPDATE: Their response below is pathetic, and to their responses to others borders on fraudulent threats. Youre not the only ones capable of lawsuits for fraudulent claims. I highly recommend you cease before I contact lawyers.
So I received a call stating I owed money to FedEx Express for my company. Funny part is we have NEVER had an account with FedEx Express and all shipping cost are paid before any shipments are made. So next time you try calling me with fraudulent charges, please dont. I pre-pay everything as not to fall behind and deal with people like you. Also the proper way to handle a overdue payment or any request is through the US mail. Not a phone call that can very likely be a scam like the thousands people try to make daily. Find another patsy it will not be me. Also save your tired response excuses for someone who will pay attention to them and care about what you think. Good Day.
My only experience with them is that I received a collection letter stating I owed past due on a UPS account I only use for tracking shipments. In other words I NEVER even used UPS for their shipping services, but somehow Synter has my first name (only as that is all the information I have on my UPS tracking account) and they are going to send me a letter to collect money. I called UPS and referenced the two invoices and the invoices only had my first name being used (with an incorrect home address and zip code) being sent to some company out in PEOSTA, IA.I have called contact details on the letter (still thinking this is some type of scam/fraud) and so far no call backs or email responses.I will update if I get a response.
If you are looking for a great company to work for or with, then Synter is where to look.Synter takes pride in over achieving their clients expectations and meeting/exceeding all goals. They maintain a strong relationship with their clients as well as a strong customer service relationship with the clients customers.Synter is also a very stable company with great benefits. The employees of Synter are very friendly and easy to get along with. They are always willing to lend a hand. I truly enjoyed working at Synter and look forward to their continued growth.
I received an email in April 2020 stating that I owed (3) small shipping charges from Oct/Nov 2019. I only use UPS shipping for two Customers that I have that have us bill their UPS account, because they get substantial discounts. Two of the charges were for $16.40 and the other was for $0.98. What could possibly generate a 98 cent shipping charge. I agree with what another Reviewer stated that these seem to be charges that are not accurate, but are sent with no information whatsoever on what they are for and they only provide you a link to pay them. I have requested the Invoice # on the shipment, the description of what was shipped and to whom it was shipped. I would be cautious, because I think these charges from 6 months ago are at best a mistake and at worst a fraudulent attempt to collect funds.
THIS SITE IS A SCAM. I was told I owed UPS. I have an account with UPS and so a check online showed I was up to date.
HAPPENED TO US TOO- OVER A UPS non existing past due invoice. FRAUD OF A COMPANY!!! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
I just want to thank all the posters who shared that they got suspicious UPS charges. I decided to try to look into it when I went to pay my bill online and the website was down, so I dug further and saw lots of other people got false bills from ups too.
This is the most amazing company. They take very good care of the employees and go out of their way to make your work day enjoyable. They take pride in the work that we do and they make sure the employees are comfortable and trained properly to ensure the best client and customer experience. If your looking to hire a outsourcing company for your all your freight needs they come highly recommended! If your looking for a place to work and you want to feel valued and appreciated then I recommend applying for Synter!
Scam alert!!! Be careful people!!
THIS IS NOT A SCAM! I called UPS and they confirmed with me that I was past due. UPS let me know the payment was being collected and this is a legitimate company they use to collect. UPS emailed me my invoice which matched what this company had line by line. The payment process was quick and easy. One other side note, the UPS rep mentioned (after I had asked) that this does not affect your credit score ;)
TRASH SCAMMERS
First off, THIS COMPANY IS NOT A SCAM. They are hired out by the companies they call for. The charges we called on were legitimate charges until properly disputed and resolved. I personally considered every customers side of the story and would gladly open disputes to find answers and resolutions.I worked for Synter for 2.5 years and genuinely loved it. Theres ups and downs as there are with any company youll work for but the pros far outweighed the cons. I wore flip flops, shorts, t-shirt and a hat the entire summer in a fun working environment. Two 15 minute breaks per day helped make the day feel shorter. Also, they were very accommodating with my personal life. At the time I had family obligations and they understood that so they worked with me on my schedule. I cut up with everyone there when time permitted. It was loose but professional. Not only that but I did learn better phone etiquette (which helps me tremendously to this day), patience, how to multi-task, and customer service. Fast forward 3 years and I still compare my current career to Synter. I wish I had the flexibility, work attire, and fun management as I did when I worked there. I dont dislike my career now but I do miss the good old days.As long as you stay on top of your work, dont be afraid to ask for help and show up on time then you shouldnt dislike this company. I mean, every job youll ever have will ask the same of you...
I recieved a scam UPS collection letter and collection email from these crooks. These people are clever in an evil way. They hit you for a small enough amount that you might pay it just because it may appear easier to pay it then to research it.
I received a phone call and also a collection letter from these scammers. This is one of the strangest situations Ive seen. I dont owe anyone any money. Im not behind on any bills. I blocked them and reported them as spam.On a more specific note my bill was supposedly for a UPS related debt. But Im at the UPS store right now, and asked about this. I dont owe them any money for anything.
Bunch of scammers. I have never had any services from UPS but tried to scam me to pay them. Nice try. Find something productive to do with your lives thieves.
Same scam happened to me. They left a robo call on my business phone so I called back and they tried to say that I owed a past due bill of $39 from a package shipped to me from outside the US. The charge was from a customs UPS Brokerage Firm. I have an account with UPS but have never received a bill from them or this brokerage firm, and also never ordered anything from outside the US that was shipped via UPS. BTW, Synter only had my PO box number as an address. We all know that UPS never uses PO boxes and UPS also has my physical address on file. The operator wanted my email address to send an invoice, which I told her she could find on her own just like she found my P.O. box address. She hung up on me.Update: In response to the reply below, I just called UPS for a second time to confirm there is no bill. Good luck collecting on a bill that does not exist, Synter Resource Group.
Bait and switch hiring practices. I applied for a job as a project coordinator and got an interview. I went in and was placed at a desk observing someone make collections calls on past due freight bills. After the observation portion, I was taken to an HR office. I told the HR guy that I hadnt applied to be a bill collector and he asked what I thought project coordinator meant. I said that I assumed it had something to do with project management and not bill collecting. He said all he had was bill collecting. I left immediately. Waste of time, waste of energy. If you WANT to be a bill collector, Im sure this place is as good as any other but If youre interested in doing ANYTHING else, dont apply here-its probably a made up position to get you in the door as a bill collector. On the up side, you can shoot pool on your breaks.
Synter Resource Group is a great place to work and serves as an amazing asset to the clients they serve. Synter offers Business Process Outsourcing to top freight and logistics companies in North America and Canada. Synter works with each client to customize solutions that work best with their business portfolio and does a great job in working with clients of all sizes. The work environment at Synter is above and beyond anything I have experienced in an office setting. Management, Operations, HR and Ownership have an open door policy as well as an open mind for suggestions. Synter prides themselves on empowering employees in the form of letting them be active in creating SOPs and process improvements.Synter also promotes from within and does not hire outside management. This practice helps ensure that management is fully prepared and knowledgeable when ready for a promotion. If you want a job that gives you a fast track to management, this place is for you. As long as you put in the work and are proactive in learning the business, you will be well on your way to moving up.The dress code is very relaxed which is a HUGE plus. The people at Synter are like one big family that includes some of the friendliest, most approachable people I have ever met! I spent 2.5 years at Synter and enjoyed thoroughly enjoyed my time there!NOTE: Below review from user Owen V is a scam account and does not reflect my thoughts or opinions. It has been reported. This review is from the actual Owen Vogel!
While I was young when I was with Synter, I now have a graduate degree in Organizational Development as well as my SPHR, so I can, without question say that Synter Resource operates their business in an unethical manner. They do not administer action plans for performance, but will terminate employees (without documented cause) who are about to take a medical LOA (or even FMLA), display favoritism by promoting individuals who only know product rather than leadership who have the intent of growth to the company as well as employees and are in high places because they are friendly with those with decorated title. I support the original mission of the business, but the owners deviated from the practices which make companies successful- counting immediate pennies versus long term dollars at the expense of overall employee and client satisfaction.
Seems like that is the way they operate. Collection notice sent to me and I have never heard or done anything with Synter. Dont try calling, all their voicemails are full.
Received a bill from Fed Ex regarding a large unpaid invoice. Called Fed Ex directly and they had no record of the invoice. Be very careful when seeing an email from this company.
Dont waste your time. Horrible company and poor management!
I having a really good experience so far and Im enjoying the time job here it see like everyone is very nice and helpful.
Confirming, it is scam.
This company sends fake collections letters to try to scam people into paying for nonexistent things. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM.
Thought the rep was helpful. My business is closing and they were willing to work with me and set up a payment plan.
Have never had a negative experience with Synter. This Business to Business collection company has friendly and competent personnel. Pay your bills; your creditors will not need Synter to intervene.
Contacted us about a past due invoice from Fedex (which apparently is now due double with fees and interest). We never pay our bills late. Contacted Fedex directly and they have no record of any past due balance. This company is a fraud. Do not take them seriously.
Scammers have reached a new all-time low of scumbagness! This company will send you a fake credit collecting agency bill, mine was for a UPS bill. I was relieved to discover that many others have already faced this, usually with a FedEx bill, and posted about it. Reading through a few reviews I found that this company is so totally inept that when someone called them several times hoping to PAY one of these fake bills (For over 7,000.00), they were unable to get through to anyone to do so (until the employee monitoring these reviews read about it and ever-so-graciously reached out to offer assistance through the ripping-off process). Ha! Give me a break. UPS doesnt provide service up-front to individuals. You have to pay for it first. This companys CEOs (or whoever else came up with this scheme) belong in jail. You are giving these businesses a bad name while preying on the unsuspecting.
I have never had a company NOT want to take my $7,300. It took 9 unanswered phone calls, two messages to different representatives, 3 call backs and 3 accidental Pending holds on my company debit card before my UPS account payment was finally taken correctly, but im still waiting for the third $7,300 pending charge to fall off my debit card so I can use the funds in my own account. I have no idea how this company landed such a large client like UPS, they cant even answer their phone when someone calls and wants to pay them every dollar they have. I will never let my UPS account fall behind again just so I dont have to deal with all these idiots. So I guess thats a plus, I learned my lesson.
I am very disappointed by your companys lack of care and safety for your employees. The governor of SC has declared a mandatory evacuation for Hurricane Florence and you have told your employees that you will be open all week and that they have to use PTO if they dont come in? How messed up is that? Even Walmart is closing and wont reopen until after the storm. I will not be doing business with a company that does not care about their employees, they certainly wont care about me.
Worst collections company I have dealt with. I spoke with a lady Domini something and she refused to send me proper paperwork. Feels like a scam.
Loosers! They said we owed Fedex $150. Guess what? we owe FedEx THOUSANDS!. However, we are paying all our invoices timely.Dont waste our time with your ridiculous visits to our office to collect money.
Just a heads up for anyone else: I also got a bill from this company (for duty owed to DHL Express as it turned out eventually). I called DHL Express billing department and it actually did turn out to be legit -- DHL forwarded me the docs and the info I needed to pay them directly, so I suggest going straight to the source for docs if you get one of these notices if youre having difficulty with Synter. Hope this helps someone.Note: Im just a private consumer -- not running a company, so I cant comment on that side of things mentioned in the other reviews. Hope this helps someone.
Just got the invoice from DHL followed by a collection letter and bill from this company. i paid bill through the collection company but I seriously think its bs for UPS DHL to send someone to collections on a current bill.
Scam - Fedex letter with made up charges, and Fedex has no record of such an invoice
PESTILENTIAL EMAILING AND CALLING. THESE ARE GANGSTER MONEY COLLECTORS, THE SAME TYPE OF PEOPLE WHO PESTER GOVERNMENTS TO BAIL OUT THE LOSER COMPANIES AND USE THE BAIL OUT MONEY TO ROB AND HARASS THE MIDDLE CLASS.
Exceptional company and great people to work with.
You know your a bad collections agency when you dont have anybody to pick up the phone.
SCAM. Don’t return their calls or answer their emails
Scammers! Said I owed UPS $31, UPS says I owe $0. Reported them to the authorities.
Almost crawled out of my skin while there for an interview... no one was dressed professionally nor did they speak to each other like they were at work. Didnt get the job but cant say that I regret it...
Complete scammers.
Worst company to work for, doesnt care about their employees at all
Thanks for other reviewers so I know what it is, I got a fake bill invoice too.
I tried to work with them. Just terrible.
My opinion through experiences with Synter, this is an opportunist company in which their practices boarder on fraud.
Proved that the driver lied to us and they are unwilling to do anything about it.
DO NOT CALL! This company is a scam!!You have been warned!!!
They are a complete scam . sending out fake bills for collection
Scam
Just horrible
Worst company !
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM
Bunch of scammers. Why not do something better with your lives. seriously, you people should be ashamed of yourselves
