I’ve been here twice and a happy customer each time. First time was to have a vintage necklace repaired. Second time was to have some amber verified by the gemologist. Staff here are helpful, and the gemologist totally rocks! Seriously, he was the best. Will return gladly here with any jewelry needs.

Rex and his team went above and beyond to make every aspect of shopping for our wedding rings perfect. His custom design for my engagement ring is breathtaking. We used family diamonds and he made the most beautiful ring Ive ever seen. Customer service was also flawless. This is the best jewelry shop in Charleston. They well bend over backwards to help you and wont give you the typical Charleston upcharge for service that all the other big stores will.I called 4 jewellers for a simple ring resize and was quoted anywhere from $150 to $250 for the simple service. This store was less than half of the lowest quoted price and delivered in days rather than the rest of the stores promising 6 weeks or more.Do not hesitate to shop here or get service done here. Everyone was incredibly caring and competent from the sales people to the actual jeweler. Mr. McClure has been the highlight of our visit every time we visit.

They did an amazing job on my ring that I have had to take back to Kays jewelers more than 5 times for the same issue. They fixed it and added upgraded stones for half the price of Kays jeweler with kays ring insurance. Everything was done locally and my ring looks better than ever and I just love how involved they kept me through the process. Highly recommend them for all your jewelry needs!🙂

My fiancé (at the time) designed a ring with this jewelry company over a year and a half ago. Once it was done he started making payments on it until it was completely paid off, and then the ring would officially be ours. We were in our last leg of payments and we decided that we could go ahead and pay the rest of the ring off and I could finally have my dream engagement ring (yay!). So we call the store (we had moved out of state since the original interaction), and the store and owner give my now husband the run around about the ring. He finally talks to the owner himself, and come to find out the owner had sold the center diamond in our ring to someone else without us knowing with NO replacement! We had already put thousands of dollars down and they did not call us first to give us any option or tell us what they were doing! It has been 2 months since this incident that we were “promised” a new and bigger diamond with no extra charge. There has been no proof of this new ring or diamond, and there is no way to visit the store since we are out of state. My husband has called and called and we have gotten nothing but excuses. I’m not trying to bash this store, but I do want to be honest with mine and my husband’s experience.

I initially took them a metal watch band because a pin had fallen out. They gave me an estimated price to repair, including ordering or fabricating a replacement pin. Afterwards I found the lost pin and took it to them. They replaced the pin and had the watch back to me the same day. They could have charged me for their troubles--and I expected them to--but they didnt. I spoke with a different lady each time in went in, and all three were exceptionally pleasant, friendly, and helpful.Later, I went back to Sohn & McClure for another service that was costly enough to justify shopping around. I worked with a store in Mt. Pleasant that ultimately quoted me double what Sohn & McClure quoted. Sohn & McClures operation is fair, honest, and helpful. The store has earned my business in the future.

Rex made an absolutely stunning customized wedding ring for me. He created the design that I wanted within our limited budget and without any sacrifices to the design. My husband and I were incredibly impressed and highly recommend Sohn & McMclure.

Excellent craftsmanship and timely service.My jade pendant used to be attached to my necklace with a string causing great irritation as it rubbed across my chest. Sohn & McClure crafted a beautiful custom gold loop that incorporates the preexisting holes and jade ball. Now wearing my necklace is comfortable and a joy!
