We were visiting Charleston and happened to stumble into this gems of a storefront. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful jewelry inventories & most of all the nonaggression salespersons. I found myself on vacation in Charleston with a swollen finger and in need to a resizing of my wedding ring. Christopher and his staff were wonderful, and were able to resize my ring within hours. They also have a terrific selection of estate jewelry!

Joint Venture Estate Jewelers on King Street in Charleston is a great source for unique and antique jewelry that you will most likely not see anywhere else. This is a fun place to shop for jewelry and they have good values for the quality that they have. The staff here is very friendly and willing to take the time to make sure that you are helped and find what you need.

They are only open limited times due to COVID, so I made an appointment for our visit to Charleston. They surpassed our expectations on price and service. I purchased a lovely pineapple pendant and pair of hoop earrings and paid much less for all of it than prices I saw later for just a pendant in other shops. They made sure that my items were well packed in nice little boxes for travel. Our friend with us talked to them about repairing an antique watch and will likely ship it to them for repair as we have no where in our area that will work on it. It was a great experience.

Simply The Best!I’ve been doing business with Joint Venture for more years than I can count now. There’s a really good reason why. Even though I now live on Hilton Head Island instead of Charleston, there is no place that compares with Joint Venture! It’s a combination of things... a wide array of fine jewelry and watches at excellent prices, an excuse to go to Charleston:), and perhaps most of all, the high level of customer service offered by the people that work there.I recently completed a transaction there. I bought a great men’s Art Deco diamond ring that I saw on their website(definitely worth visiting), I used their great layaway plan, and along the way, had plenty of interaction with Janet, a very, very pleasant lady. It truly was a flawless transaction! Brad even comped the sizing. I cannot day enough about this place! You will be a amazed at the selection of beautiful pieces, be happy with the prices, and blown away by the customer service! It is an experience that is not to be missed!

Excellent customer service!

An item caught my eye in their store front yesterday. I went in to buy it. When I used my credit card they wanted my name, address, phone number and drivers license number! I had to argue with 2 people to tell them I was not going to give all of that information. Their excuse is in case something goes wrong with my credit card later. My opinion is if it accepts the charge I will leave with my purchase. If the card declines, they get to keep the item. I see no reason for handing over this much personal information and have no idea what they would have done with it. I wont be going back. Such a shame since it is a really nice store.

I went to this store for the second time. My first visit was five months ago. Each time to get a watch battery replaced and the wrist chain shortened. Bashir, a very nice and courteous watch smith, helped me to my best satisfaction. Even after spending nearly 25 minutes, the charge was very nominal. Further, he educated me how to take good care of my watch and showed me techniques that are not well described in the brochure. I strongly recommend this store to anyone who needs good service.

I believe they confused service with arrogance. My sister and I went in to have our late mother’s jewelry cleaned and it just seemed like we were wasting their time. I asked about what they thought about an earring she had, the response was “it’s completly worthless, it’s garbage” and everything that we heard was full of contempt. The pieces came out clean, but I wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire.
