I have loved coming to European wax center for years. Yesterday I walked in for my 4:15 appointment at 4:22. I was told I was 10 minutes late and they could no longer see me but I could reschedule for a 6:45 appointment that evening. There was no customer service and the receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. I will not be coming back to this location.

Kaylie is amazing! i highly recommend anyone go to her when booking an appointment! she takes her time and makes you feel comfortable during the appointment. i will never see anyone else!

Overall a pretty good wax experience ( I got my legs done). The esthetician was friendly and efficient. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is the hard sell when you check out. The receptionist pushed HARD for me to book again or buy a package.

I can not say enough great things about European Wax. The staff is friendly and professional. Their packages are reasonable and they always make it affordable. They are flexible with my schedule and have never tried pushing their products on me. Hands down the best in Charleston.

European Wax Center on Maybank Highway on James Island is a great place for waxing and all related services. They do really good work and have excellent customer service. I have been impressed with their results every time. They are worth a visit for the wax.

First time getting waxed and it was great! Kylie (I think that was her name) made me feel super comfortable! The front desk was very welcoming as well.

I went in for a full Brazilian. It was my first time so I expected there to be pain and blood but I did not expect for her to leave me with multiple patches of hair AND left over wax that took effort and was painful to remove at home. I even tipped my wax lady. Won’t be coming here again. I wouldn’t recommend unless you want to be sticky where the sun doesn’t shine. I wish I could have a refund. Literally crying at home because I’m so disappointed.

Absolutely love this location. I came called 15 minutes before I came in and they booked an appointment so that I don’t lose my spot. Then when I arrived (with two kids at that) they were super friendly and accommodating. The manager was playing with my kids and distracted them as I got waxed. My 10 month old is not a friendly baby and even she was in love with her. I felt bad bring the kids with me but it was the only way I could do it! Would 100000% come back. The waxing experience was also amazing especially for my first time. Anastasia definitely knows what she’s doing.

I loved my experience with Kaylie here. I really recommend asking for her when you make an appointment! I got my legs waxed but had a very bad sunburn on the back of them, and she was very accommodating and gentle with it. While getting wax isn’t a super thrilling experience, Kaylie seriously makes everything so much better! She’s super sweet and great to talk too! Not to mention she does a bombbb job! I definitely recommend her to anyone!

I had Kaylie, she was very nice and made my first wax comfortable.

3 strikes for this place. First they raise their prices without any update, which I find incredibly rude to not let your clients of 5+ years not to be given a courtesy email (they send plenty so whats one more). Second my waxing specialist was running behind because of other late customers and rushed through my service only to do a really poor job. Most recently I receive a message saying my waxer wasnt available but they could get me in with another specialist, only to get there and they say we need to re-schedule completely. I will not be giving them another chance. This location is poorly run.

I’ve visited the James Island location twice already, and will definitely continue going back! I’ve had cheeks, eyebrows, and nose, every time leaving there very happy.The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and puts you right at ease with the entire process. Everyone from Courtney at the front desk, Jesse the manager, and Aileen my esthetician are very pleasant, helpful, and attentive! I highly highly recommend them!

The people were nice. However, they were over priced and used extra large pieces of wax strips. I have had multiple Brazilians, and this one was the most painful. They pulled away from the plane of the skin rather than parallel to the skin. I aborted the service before it was complete because it was unbearable. I didnt even have this much pain on my first Brazilian.

Best experience I’ve ever had...and I dread these experiences. It’s clean, front desk staff is friendly, pricing isn’t terrible. Krystina/Christina (sp?) did the best job I’ve ever had, perfectly manicured and I was not wanting to cry and quit half way through. Definitely recommend.
