Was traveling through WV when I got a flat tire on the interstate. The people at Martys were extremely helpful and were able to have my car fixed within the hour. Staff was incredibly friendly and personable, which helped with the situation. Great Service!

Took my car here for an oil change and it turns out they did not properly replace the oil filter and it’s components. Oil leaked from this area and I ended up rolling up to a mechanic closer to me with no oil in the engine. They told me immediately that the oil change had not been done properly by this place. I will never take my car here again as I’ve also had one other friend experience the same issue. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Absolutely AWESOME!!! I was in a group of 24 people with a mini bus going back to Texas. Tire blew out. Martys worked us in and replaced the tire at a reasonable price. They were INCREDIBLY friendly. They checked ALL tires and inflated any that were low.

I got 4 brand new tires. The service was reasonable in terms of waiting for the tech to do the job. I was helped with what I needed within 1 minute of entering. And I waited about 30-45 minutes for for them to finish and get my attention. The tire prices for my vehicle were supposed to be 70 but due to the person I talked to on the phone previously telling me 60 they marked all 4 down by 10 and the disposal per tire was only 4 dollars besting my previous tire place by 1and it was a used tire shop.

My van broke down on vacation and the gentleman were extremely accommodating and had the decency to allow my family to wait in the lobby while waiting for a rental vehicle. Aside from this the repairs were finished quite quickly and at a very affordable price.

Did not put the lug nuts on one back tire! Came off in the parking lot! Do not trust your life to theses people!

First time, now last time as a customer. My wife took her vehicle for a simple oil change. Well, her vehicle takes 0W20 DEXOS Full Synthetic. A mechanic decided to not pay any attention to the oil cap that clearly states OW20 Dexos, and put 5W30 conventional motor oil instead. They had just fixed the issue. Please be sure to check your receipts upon purchase before leaving the facility. Now, I will have to monitor the engine. To make sure no damage has been done.-We will not be back.

Fantastic, very clean place very friendly, first come first serve but even then didnt have to wait long. Very affordable will work you in when they can and will be honest with you will definitely be returning.

I bought tires here since it was the best deal I could find in the area at the time. General tires was running a special for prepaid gift cards ($50-100) for 4 new tires. I spoke to someone on the phone about the special which was advertised as up to a $100 gift card on martys website. The person on the phone said that the tires I was getting were for a $100 gift card. After getting my tires mounted the next day I was handed a paper that said my tires were only good for a $70 gift card. I also requested an alignment check. I was told that the jam nuts on my outer tie rod ends were stripped (apparently they were stripped by Bert Wolfe when I had the frame replaced due to the Tacoma recall, I was able to get this fixed by what is now Ball Toyota at a fair price). The guy at Martys blamed the truck being out of alignment on the frame being bent and complained about paint on the frame as being part of the problem (I applied rust converter to the weld points that were already starting to rust on the new frame). When I asked why I was misled about the gift card he said that he was already doing me a favor for not charging me for the alignment. I was still charged $12 for labor and I was also charged $12 for a tire disposal fee, which I know is common, but I was also told on the phone that the per tire cost included mount, balance, and tire disposal. I also waited 3+ hours. Definitely avoid this place since these guys are dishonest and hateful (the paint on the frame had nothing to do with the job they were paid to perform). There are also better priced places in the Charleston area with much more competent mechanics.

I called and talked to Matt on Friday requesting an inspection..Matt said to be there at 8 am on Saturday and he could get me in. When I walked in at 8 and told him I was there for the appointment, he said that he had other cars left over night and it would be at least 2-3 hours if at all before they could get me in. I said why would you tell me to be there if you were not going to help me and he acted like he didnt care.. I wish he would have told me the truth on Friday so o couldve found someplace else.

I bought 4 new tires from Marty’s. When I got my vehicle back, 2 of my tire pressure sensors were damaged and the valve cap on one tire is so tight that it will NOT come off without breaking. I took it back in to ask what was going on, and they tried to blame it on another garage. I tried to to explain to them that I did not have these issues until they worked on my car. The issues cost me an additional 200+ dollars to repair at another garage. I am a very dissatisfied customer.

My brake line was leaking took it to them and they where able to fix it an get done fast and it was a great price. If anything else happens to my car they will be the first place I go. An I highly recommend everyone else going. Great people and great customer service!!!

They are great. Was visiting daughter in West Virginia. And someone sliced two of my tires. Was towed there and they got me right in. Tires on and on the road. Very good to work with and very friendly. Would use them again . Prices are great.

They said it would take an hour and a half to two to get to me to plug my tire but it took less than 45 minutes they was pleasant reasonable. Then told me about if I buy tires that they would rotate them for free anything to do with my tires as long as I still have them I thought that was good information for when I get ready to purchase new tires.

They took two days to get my tires..... and now they aren’t even going to stand by the tires they put on my car that wore down because I didn’t have an alignment. Two thumbs down!!!!!

They do tires. Not tires and transmissions or tires and tanning beds. Just tires. And they do it right. Like it supposed to be. They tell you what it will cost and how long it will take. And if you need air or rotation they refuse to take money and give you an all star job just for being a customer. This IS the place to go in charleston for tires. It maybe not be the cheapest, but it will be close. And the Service before and AFTER sale is amazing. I won’t go anywhere else. Huge fan!

I went to get a tire patched, ended up just buying 4 new tires. Loved that the tires come with free rotations and damage repair. I was very pleased with Marty’s service.

Locally owned and operated. Edit: Dropping a star because incorrect items were diagnosed to fixed a steering issue.

Went to get a set of new tires, no problem, but they told me that it needed an alignment, charged $80. For it & they didnt even do one.when I got home my husband checked up underneath & the bolts to do the alignment were rusted & hadnt even been removed.ripped off out of $80. !!!!!

I came in to Martys Tire to have a yearly inspection done on my vehicle. I went around back since it appeared to have a large grand entrance. Turns out the building used to be something else and was converted, but the mechanic was nice enough to show me to the front. The whole thing took less then 40 mins. They recommended a coolant flush and informed me i needed to clean my terminals. Due to the miles and it being the original battery I agree with both of those statements. They didnt try to sell me a bunch of add-ons and was very straight forward. I will definitely bring my cars here from now on and would recommend them to anyone i know. Went there to get a simple inspection sticker and they took 2 hours. They told me they couldnt approve my truck because the brakes were low and might start squeaking in a few months if I dont change my pads and rotors. I asked him if they took a brake micrometer and measured the thickness of my rotor that he said was out of specs and I got no I dont have to i have been a mechanic for 2 years I know what Im talking about. Next shop said they were fine so maybe they needed to make a sale.These guys are a bunch of vegetables and I wouldnt let them work on my go-kart.

Always great to do business here. Its first come, first served, so youll usually have to wait or walk to town on errands but its a good excuse to walk to The Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences to see the art or a film.

Service is extremely slow if you walk in without an appointment. My husband waited over 5 hours and they still didnt have it done. I will never go to this place again. I called Firestone after my husband sat for 4 hours, and Firestone offered to give better tires at a smaller price than Martys.

Crooks. Every time i have taken my car there, because they offer an employee discount for the company I work for, they aleays seem to find something additional that absolutely has to fixed in order for my car to run. My most recent visit was for a state inspection for which i suddenly had a rear brake light out and needed 2 new front tires. They quoted $180 for the repairs. I opte to go elsewhere and found that my rear brake light had been removed completely and the connection piece had been messed with and needed to be replace. Also after returning, to pass the state inspection, 2 days later my starter began to act up. I took my car to another mechanic, who had the part and was preparing to change out the old for the new, as he began removing things to get to the starter a screw fell out. He exam ik ned the screw and said that it wasnt stripoed and had been loosened which would cause the starter to act up and after driving over WV roads of bumps and potholes would eventually fall out and cause the starter not to work at all. To the average layman would then return to Martys for a repair that they would just replace the screw they loosened and charge labor and parts for a problem they caused and a part they did not exchange. I wa stold by mechanic that this indeed was an old mechanic trick to keep consumers coming back and spending there money repeatedly insuring there establishments financial stability. Also had them do this to me previously with sparkplugs. Charges foe replacement of all just find they did not replace all of them nor adjust the spacing correctly on what they did replace. This is just too much deception while they consistently rip off customer after customer. I have several friends who have similar experiences with these crooks. Its just shameful.

Dont go here for state inspections. They failed me because of two tires that are perfectly good then tried to sell me two for an outrageous price.

This place tried to rip me off, went in one morning for an inspection sticker and they told me my car needs $1000 in repair. I took it to a different garage and spent $70 for an inspection sticker and oil change. Worst place I have ever been to. Don’t waste your time with these fools. Had to wait two hours for them to tell me my car has problems when it doesn’t.

Cant find a trustworthy mechanic?Martys Tire in Spring Hill (west edge of Charleston) has done a great job for us several times.Husband Chuck knows what he is seeing, because he can fix just about anything mechanical, and he is happy with their work. Thats a pretty good endorsement!We sure do miss our car docs in Fayetteville, and have suffered through several lackluster mechanics here in Charleston when pulling up roots from the Ville. The last one here in Bigtown had no idea how to fix our problems with any kind of creativity that would save money.Martys is pretty good! Maybe wonderful. They are getting ready to do $1,000 worth of work on our car, so I guess well find out....

Worst customer service ever. Bought tires and 2 weeks later the wheel weights came off. Went in to have tires rebalanced and weights put back on, that fell off due to their mistake. And was told they couldnt get to it. 4th or 5th set of tires I have bought in the last 3 years. I will never buy another set of tires from them. I would do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere.
