I had a very positive experience at Hendrick Volvo of Charleston when I took my S60 in for a service recently. Courtney Fisher was the Service Representative who helped me and she was excellent in every way; courteous, knowledgeable, competent, and helpful. I received an email with a video made by the mechanic who worked on my car showing me exactly what he did and he then made a couple of recommendations regarding issues that may need work in the future. I was very impressed. Everyone at the dealership was very pleasant and helpful.

We were treated excellently, we did not have to wait, it is a very clean place, and with all the necessary protection for the situation at the moment. Robert Bob Schneider, assisted us very kindly answering every question we had. Communication was always immediate, and in what he could not answer us, he referred us to who if he could do it, who also responded quickly. Everything they told us we could get was really like that. By far the best car purchase experience I have ever had. Evan Smith at Hendrick Volvo was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable of the different makes and models and was helpful in fine tuning what it was that I was looking for without the first hint of the typical sales pressure. Customer service is not dead! Called on a Saturday on Labor Day weekend about a car. The car was actually there (this is a problem in the current low inventory market.) The people working there seemed to work as a team, and that’s how a success business works. I was FaceTimed by an employee with a detailed walk through of the car. The people I spoke with were extremely knowledgeable about Volvos- even excited to go go over the options the car had. Once I got with the sales team, we negotiated terms easily. There were not a pushy sales pitch or inflated dealer “fees” numbers added in. It was clear and concise. The car was delivered to my home and the process was seamless. Hendrick is as solid as it gets when dealing with a franchise dealer. Special thanks to Tim Friedag (pronounced Friday) and Chris Camburn for all of your help. Maybe one of the most unprofessional and unethical business experience I may have ever had in my 30 years of buying a vehicle. This dealership may have some of the worse business practices I have ever encountered. While I was in the business office conducting a deal on a used vehicle we have an accepted agreement on my trade in the GM decides that a better offer has come in on the internet and tells me the car is no longer available and he is sorry. AFTER WE HAVE MADE A DEAL. Then tells me it’s first come first serve but the online buyers show up an hour later and drive off with the vehicle. Sorry was the answer they gave me. Rick Hendricks would be very disappointed in the management of the this dealership.

I visited Hendrick Volvo cars because I had an issue with wetness under the drivers side carpet of my 2002 Volvo V70 station wagon. I assumed it was a wiper issue so I brought it in to get it checked up. Upon further inspection, my car was found to have major deteriorative damage to a few of its major components. After an honest conversation with the service advisor, he suggested that I have some of the most important parts fixed and to leave the car with them while I drove a loaner car home. Well that overnight stay ended up being a week. I was driving in the lap of luxury, and a brand new 2021 Volvo V60 T5 station wagon, with the volume up and the gas consumption down! You see I drive for a living being a Hewlett-Packard representative, everywhere from Myrtle Beach to Savannah, Columbia to Charleston, and my farthest route takes me to Statesboro Georgia. I got a good feel for the car that week, and very much enjoyed being able to use it for work. The staff at Hendrick Volvo car took care of me and my car, but unfortunately after getting the total of the repair cost for my old 2002 V70, we decided that the old girl needed to go to sleep for good. It was going to cost triple what the car was worth to fix it. I traded it in for a very generous amount provided by Hendrick Volvo, put a bunch down and drove out with a 2018 Volvo S60 T5 Inscription AWD. Boy was I surprised at the fuel efficiency! If youre careful and drive conservatively, you can save a whole lot of money!I want to personally thank Martin, my sales consultant, who tolerated the racket that was coming out of the Bluetooth equipped speakers so I could test their mettle during the test drive, Scott, who guided me in the right direction when it came to trading in instead of repairing, and Evan, a great service advisor, and a great conversationalist. I must also thank Corey, the gentleman in the back doing all the paperwork (he has so much fun) and to be honest, the easiest guy at the whole dealership to talk to. Hes got my MVP vote.My father, a 45-year master tech with BMW was giving me advice the whole time, making sure I was getting taken care of, and other than the service agreement, which I decided to go a little further then usual on, he said I got a great deal on everything. Its nice to know that there are still dealerships out there that genuinely care about their customers, and arent just looking for a buck.One thing I also love, I learned from an associate at the dealership that salesmen are paid based on the volume of cars they sell, not the value of those cars. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the salesman at that dealership to help you and take care of you regardless of your budget. I purchased a used vehicle from Hendricks Volvo about 2 weeks ago after losing my car in an accident back in April. I believe the gentlemen that helped me were Trevor and Tony. I was not expecting to get approved because the car dealerships where I live were giving me the run around telling me I wouldnt find what I was looking for and trying to get me to settle on something else. Anyways I reached out to Volvo and a few hours later got a text that I was approved. I was over excited. After test driving several cars, I finally came to Volvo. Keith was able to help me with the XC40, which I immediately knew was the car I wanted. He knew all the packages, and the differences between cars from competitors, which was something the other places I went to lacked. Great staff! Chris Camburn as a sales consultant was a dream to work with. He was patient, kind and extremely understanding with us as we have a 4-month old. He even went out of his way to drive the vehicle to our house for the test drive and purchase all in the same day; very quick turn-around time. He could relate with us too which was very re-assuring and not pushy in any form. Would recommend to anyone!

Brought my vehicle in to to set some warnings corrected this morning. All my paperwork was in order. Bryce greeted me by my name and welcomed me…. My loaner car was parked right outside center facing toward highway…. I was in an out in a few minutes and so impressed with how myself and everyone around me being waited on were being treated. Even the service technicians going and coming nodded and spoke….Awesome run dealership!
