I had issues with my BMW X-5 for weeks. ( cruise control would not engage, seat belt light & warning wound not shut off, airbag light on, 4X4 indication on, fuel gage read empty all the time, and rear wipers would not work) Three different, supposedly BMW experts, one of which had it for 2 weeks, told me it was all fixed. Best Mechanic in NOVA. My family has serviced their vehicles here for over 20 years. Now I take my car and my wifes here. I live about 30 - 40 min out and still go here. Morty is fairly priced and will tell you upfront what your car needs and what can wait. He doesnt try to up sell or add unnecessary work. He is a genuinely honorable mechanic that cares about his clientele. I have lived all over NOVA and have had regretted taking my car to other places. Most mechanic shops around here are shifty. I purchased a 2008 Mercedes from a dealer in Chantilly and needed a Pre-purchase inspection. Morty spent several hours on the car including an extended test drive at different speeds to assess the condition of the vehicle. He provided a comprehensive list of repairs, not adding a single unnecessary item. This place use to be great but I took my car for rotors and brakes and he quoted me about $200 more than another place. Which I don’t mind but when I told him I was going to take my car elsewhere he sounds mad. Guess everyone is struggle during the plandemic.

The dealership wanted $$$$ to fix my Smart Car. I had a rear end collision that damaged the frame. Morty fixed that (part of the frame had to be replaced--he used new OEM parts) and also replaced two additional parts as well as the spark plugs *and* changed the synthetic oil and transmission fluid for over a thousand dollars less than the dealers quote. Plus, hes a nice guy and a pleasure to do business with.

Morty is the real deal. I had taken my Audi to a German repair shop in Rockville before I found Morty. They fixed a problem that kept reoccurring after several hundreds. Morty figured out the problem, not just by several diagnosis and elimination, but sheer experience. He will solve the most seemingly complicated of issues and explain it in terms that is easy to understand. The online scheduling is great. You know when to bring the car in with the email confirmation and when to pick up when he calls.

I went to Mortys for break pads change, there I found out that my car needed wheel alignment as well. They did the needed tire rotation for my car for free and informed me that not slowing done on road humps causes this. They also advised me where best to get the alignment done. Besides, I was told when to replace the tires that had developed abrasions. They sure know their job well.

I have had Morty service my vehicles since moving to Chantilly six years ago and have many commendations to share. During the past year both of my vehicles showed symptoms of needed maintenance due to high mileage. Knowing the maintenance history and my spending values, Morty provided excellent advice in replacing both vehicles; advice that could not have been given had he not known and remembered the performance history. I once again experienced the importance and value of finding a good mechanic and sticking with them for the long haul.On two recent occasions I dropped in un-announced to ask about troublesome noises. In both cases he identified the problems in seconds and made repairs without having to return later; customer service that is hard to find these days. One problem only took five minutes (low fluid) but the other (battery replacement) took 20-30 minutes. Best of all, these services are the minimum required and come at reasonable prices.
