Great location, great hotel, new management and new name. I preferred when it was Courtyard by Marriott, but we love the area, hotel and the memories we’ve had. Really wish they would step it up because it’s an overall great place. Pool area is nice, rooms are good in size and accommodations. Staff were friendly. Only complaint I have is the cleanliness. There was visible grime and dirtiness on the walls, doors, mirrors, etc. We went in and cleaned the whole thing ourselves before feeling at comfort, but specially with COVID around. We are going to keep coming back. Hopefully management sees this and things can get better ♥️

Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, lovely and attentive staff. It is also very close to many restaurants and convenience/grocery stores, etc, and has a well-stocked little snack area, as well as a business center, coin laundry, and many conference rooms. Overall, a very nice stay.The pool cleanliness was questionable, but there was a skimmer nearby, so I grabbed it and spent about a half an hour cleaning the surface of the water. Then I stood for another hour observing the pool, debating if I should get in or not. Finally, I got so hot, I decided I would get in, and once I did, I enjoyed myself for another hour. Until I got out. My $85 white bathing suit was an absurd shade of yellow 😩😩😩 I ran upstairs to soak it in soap and water, with no luck.Long story short - wonderful, comfortable hotel, does exactly what its supposed to do! Keep you safe and warm during your stay. But avoid the pool, especially if wearing white 😒

I had a positive experience at Sonesta Select. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. I checked everything with a UV light and there were no hidden stains. The location is very convenient do to its proximity to the I-10. I will stay at Sonesta Select again.

I was very lucky to find this place, I felt like a 5 star guest, the rooms extremely clean, like brand new, rooms smells very clean, staff are amazing so friendly at anytime of the day. Gary was very helpful he did his best to accommodate the needs to my stay. If there is 10 Stars I would give it to this place. Loved everything feels like home to me. I stayed here for over a month and would always come back and be here again. Great to meet all of you Gary and all the staff.

The Sonesta was a previous Courtyard. The hotel has been recently remodeled and is very nice! Its next to the freeway but our room was soundproof. The customer service was excellent, the location is next to shopping, gas, restaurants, a very comfortable stay.

Love this place. The two queen suite was very spacious. The couch even pulled out to a bed. The pool area was nice and clean, stocked with plenty of towels. Love the pre-loaded soap and shampoo in the shower. Very eco-friendly. Staff were very friendly. Everything was clean. Will definitely recommend and come back again myself.

Ive only been here a few hours, but so far this place is awesome! A thing or two wrong if youre a clean freak, but its not the Worthington for god sakes. Nice place for a reasonable rate. Told I was smoker and put in the first floor so I didnt have to walk so much too

This is a beautiful hotel, beautifully remodeled. However the front desk staff are not as well rounded with dealing with customers as I would have expected. I can say this because I used to manage Marriotts hotel’s front desk. This hotel has no surveillance in its parking areas, WHY? I have no idea why they wouldn’t put their guests first. Someone broke into my vehicle, shattering my window & stole valuable items. Homelessness is present near the highway, so you would think surveillance would be of importance. Not only did this happen but I have not been greeted nor checked upon in regards to the incident.

Great location with Clean Rooms and comfy beds. The room included a mini dorm room fridge, coffee maker but no microwave. Pool was Out of Order which is a must have in PHX, AZ...

I would not recommend this hotel. The furniture is outdated. The room had a foul odor and the sofa was dirty. I asked to be moved to another room and the representative said they were sold out and sent some air freshener to our room. The walls are thin. I was waken up at 6:30 am by the next door guest. This was one of the worst stays ever. The hotel is surrounded by other hotels. I would suggest trying one of them.

I am very disappointed in Sonesta, in general. There was a problem with my reservation. Calling the front desk only connects you to their automated call center. After an hour on hold to speak to anyone their answer was “I don’t have access to modify your reservation”. I asked to speak to a manager but was told “we don’t have a manager I can take an escalation note for you”Absolute nightmare customer service.Also, it’s been a year...stop using COVID as an excuse for bad customer care and horrible wait times. An hour wait to speak to a hotel is abhorrent.

Beautiful, friendly staffed and reasonable prices!

Terrible, impersonable customer service. NEVER welcomed me in with hands full of clothes at check in. First words, rudely asked, as doors opened, do you have a mask. The highly controversial mask bs and no longer mandated in AZ, was all she cared about. Same from young male later the next day. Rooms just ok, outdated and uncomfortable bed. Drove home next night after rude comment from punk at check in counter. NEVER will be back. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The stay was great until I found out they kept my incidental fee for smoking in the room. I called to dispute it since I did NOT smoke inside the room. Yet no one can help me until management is in Monday smh. The woman I spoke with made it seem like the info was confidential.

Terrible service right from the start! When I checked in, I asked if the room I was staying in had 2 queens...the gentleman at the desk said yes. Walked up to our room, we noticed it had a Handicap sign next to the door. We opened the door, and was greeted by the maintenance guy installing carpet in the room. Not only was the room NOT READY, it didnt even have 2 beds or a sofa(pull out mattress) and what was even worst, they gave me a room that was made for the Handicap...went to get answers from downstairs and was told if I wanted another room. Of course I said yes...few minutes later I get the sorry, were fully booked...asked If I could get a sofa or a roll out bed since it was only 1 full size bed, and they said No due to fire hazard/code. Since I was unable to get another room, I then asked if they were able to re-sanatize the room since the maintenance guy was up there and we all were unsure how long he was up there or if he even touched anything else up there...(you never know). Of course another disappointment...it was a NO. This whole time, I was getting the bad attitudes from management as well, not very helpful at all. Could not accommodate me at all. I was there from Cali for a softball tournament and all the local hotels were fully booked. This was my only choice for the weekend. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, BAD MANAGEMENT, NO ACCOMMODATIONS. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!!!! BY FAR THE WORST. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!

Positive: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was also very good. The soft, new looking carpet in the hallways was also nice. Negative: Our room had large wall paper glue smudges from a wallpaper job gone bad. The awning right outside the lobby had some intense damage that was in need of repair. Not what I would expect from a 3 star hotel.

This hotel was so nice it was a breath of fresh air after some of the nightmares I had to put up with other hotels recently. The staff was super nice and friendly. The room, hotel (inside and out) were super clean. I did not find A SINGLE THING wrong with this hotel. And that is rare to come by. So kudos to you Marriott for restoring my faith in hotels. I will look for a Marriott in any location Im staying at first and pray each one is as nice as this hotel location. Thank you & I definitely recommend!!! 👍

This is a mixed review based on cleanliness. The hotel staff was amazing and friendly. The convenience of being so close to the freeway, stores, and restaurants was great. The room with a single king looked great (room 348). It was roomy, inviting, had a nice comfortable couch that converts to a bed if you needed an extra bed, big tv with remote placed in a disposable bag, small refrigerator and a balcony. There was no shortage of USB charger or electrical outlets as they were all over the room and on the furniture (nice). The bed was comfortable and had good quality pillows. Although we did not use the pool it looked great. Parking was convenient and well lit. This would have been a 4-5 review if it were not for the cleanliness issue.The negatives:During the Covid pandemic I was surprised to see the toilet was not clean. It had as my wife described, “Dried, deep, orangish yellow urine encrusted on the front of the bowl.”The shower looks great and has nice shampoo, conditioner, and body gel dispenser inside but in was pretty small.The ac/heater kicked on in the early morning and made it toasty warm (too much). In addition it was very loud.P.S. I was told they would charge my cc $25.00 for incidentals but was charged $50.00 and given a total of $50.00 in two separate refund transactions.

Great location, nice rooms. Of course amenities restricted. I dont mind toiletries fixed in the shower, but I rreally NEED soap by the sink to wash my hands. And I totallt despise haning a book of morons in my room. Id forgotten that Merriot wad part of that corporation

Great hotel in the chandler area. Tucked in the back corner of a shopping center. Rooms are updated and clean. The cleaning staff always leaves note for the guests in the rooms. Adds a nice personal touch. The bar and restaurant are nice. Breakfasts are really tasty and come out quickly. Staff is friendly and available. One of my favorite hotels in Chandler.

This is actually quite the cozy hotel and the architecture is quite good in it. This is going to be slightly more on the fancy side of things. Either way this hotel is walking distance to some pretty cool shops and places to go out to eat.

This hotel was near our main destination in the other side of the freeway. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself was fine; it was clean and the service was good. However, with it being right by the freeway, it’s really hard to sleep from the noise outside. Plus, we were right next to a room full of children and were forced to call the hotel lobby to complain about the excessive noise being made late at night. The walls are paper thin and even the smallest footsteps can be heard (let alone the screaming and running around of 4 kids next door). Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott to attend my mothers birthday. The place was very clean.Although we arrived before 4 pm check-in, they accommodate us.The room was nice and updated.

Great place to stay for our family. I always try to find hotels that would be accommodating for kid friendly and we really lucked out with this one. It’s near plenty of food in walking distance and fun places kids all within distance. It was a great stay and the bistro inside the hotel, food was great and I loved the margaritas!

I had a great stay at the Marriott in Chandler. The hotel was very clean, really nice lobby to sit in and relax with a cafe that served excellent breakfast. There are also plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance

I had a 1 night stay here, got in at 4am. The guy at the front desk neglected to tell me that if i used my debit card to pay i would have a 170$ for incidentals on top of the payment to stay the night. I thought it was a double charge so i drove up here the next day and they told me it was for that at, and it will take up to 15 BUSINESS DAYS to get it back in my account... Communication would have been nice. And also that time frame is ridiculous...

Once a year we have a meeting at this location and its always clean and staff very helpful. Conference room is nice size and has the technology needed to run basic meetings these days. I would however make a recommendation that the landscaping crew be mindful of meetings taking place. This year we had a gas leaf blower and lawn mower outside our windows for about a half hour. Very distracting. We will keep coming back none the less.

A bit bossy and not that welcoming when coming in.

The hotel and rooms are decent. They serve Starbucks and food but none of it is included. Do not stay on the 3rd floor in the summer! You can feel heat radiating off of the ceiling. The best part was the easy access to several good restaurants, many of which are in walking distance.

Clean, but signs of wear and tear everywhere. My bath tab had rust signs on it. Also pool was not available due to leak repair.Hotel manager sent me apologies for inconvenience, nice touch.AC in the room struggles to keep constant temperature, probably due to a fact it was 115 degrees outside.On positive side there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

I stay at this location fairly frequently when visiting Phoenix. I like that it is close to food and shopping. The hotel is fairly modern, not as new as some but still in good condition. This location does not have a continental breakfast but they do have a small bistro were you can buy food; they have gourmet coffee in the morning and a decent breakfast. They also sell alcoholic beverages and they do not mind if you bring your own to the lobby.The pool is nice and there is a small gym on the first level. I havent had any major issues, and if you forget something they have a small area with snacks and sundries open 24 hours. Like I mentioned in one of my tips the in Room bottled water is $3, if you have your own bottle you can fill it up for free in the gym with the filtered water machine they have.

The stay was great! There is pretty much everything you could want to do around here. Not too far from downtown but far enough that you can save some money on hotels. There is a casino really close if youre into that. There are a ton of places to eat around there too. The staff went above and beyond to make my wife and I comfortable.

If I could give this place negative I would, Lisa and Debbie should both be fired, they are both beyond rude, I understand we live in Times where we need to wear masks, but if someone forgets to bring it with them or forgets to wear it, you can be nice about it instead “Put your mask on now, right now In front me”

I thought that I had booked a room over the phone and asked the sales person to send me the information as I was traveling at the time. She verified all of my information. I never received a confirmation number or any email with any of the information. I looked for the information again a month later to make sure that I canceled as plans had changed, but did not have any of the information because they never sent it to me. I could not remember the name of the hotel where I thought I had booked but when I did not receive any confirmation, I therefore believed that I did not have a reservation. Then they charged me full price plus $10.00 for a no-show and told me I did not receive a confirmation because my email had not been updated in my Marriot Rewards account. I have not changed my email in over 20 years and the promotional adds keep coming. Poor customer service between the hotel and the reservations. When I asked to speak to the manager, the staff told me that the manager had made his decision and that was it. More ticked off about the way the employee told me that I had not updated my info therefore that was why I did not get a confirmation and their unwillingness to work with a long time Marriot customer. No apologies, no we can fix this problem so it wont happen again, none of that.

The Courtyard by Marriott is conveniently located right next to the freeway and in a shopping center full of many fine restaurants. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Nothing too over-the-top but no complaints either. I did not try breakfast or any of the other hotel amenities, but the pool and spa did look nice.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff that I interacted with were friendly. The hotel is older and could use an update. The restaurant in the lobby is only open in the morning and at night. Its not a big deal though because there are tons of great places to eat in the area! My king size room with a couch did not have a fridge or microwave which was a hassle when staying for a week. No major complaints but I would check out other hotels next time.

I recently stayed at this Marriott for business in the Chandler area. Ive stayed in Marriott hotels all over the U.S., but this Marriott I had a number of issues with. First I must say that the staff was outstanding. The room lay out was fine, but the furnishings a little dated. Found a long hair in my bed, wallpaper discolored and bubbling in places in the bathroom. My aircondioner was as loud as a diesel engine!!! This was after I requested to be moved away from the elevators and ice machine ( yes I requested not to be next to them when I booked my room).

Great location, right off I10 interstate. Plenty of shopping and food options in the area. Great outdoor pool and fitness area. The staff was great. The rooms were clean with smart TVs to sign in to Netflix. The Bristro had great food with a good drink selection from beer, spirits, and wine. Did I mention the great staff!

The room was very clean, beds were reasonably comfortable, but the staff was amazing. Everyone is incredibly friendly. I was greeted each and every time I walked in. Very helpful when trying to decide on where to go to eat and if it was within walking distance. My only issue is that there is no mini fridge or microwave in the room. As someone who has pretty strict dietary restrictions, I will often go to the grocery store and grab a few days worth of food rather than taking a chance at an unknown restaurant. I would absolutely stay here again.

I am giving this location a 5 star rating simply because of the employees. The hotel overall was nice and definitely met my business travel needs but the outstanding service provided by the employees is what will make me return on my next visit. In particular, Anthony and Lucas, who both went above and beyond when I had a situation arise with another guest and needed to be moved to another room. Ive never experienced such great customer service in a hotel setting before. Thank you both.

Very disappointed. The cafe was closed. Mens dirty socks at foot of bed.so how clean are those glasses? Also no hairdryer. When I reported this at checkout, all I got was sorry about that! No offer for discount, even Senior. Ill never reccomend this place again.

Had a great stay at this hotel. It was very clean and had a door that lead to a beautiful patio and gated pool. Had some good quality sleep too!

Room is clean, well laid out. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, lobby is nice. Did not try room service or restaurant. Bathroom is awkwardly laid out, especially getting to the shower. Decor was outdated 10 years ago. Lighting and availability of power outlets is lame.

Solid 3.5 to 4. Great typical Marriott hospitality, good location, but the rooms are pretty dated. No real issues, just an old hotel in need of a facelift. Maybe I’m noticing quite a difference because I’m comparing to the Courtyard Hotel I stayed in last night near Denver International Airport, which was quite new and modern... but, at this location the AC works well, the water pressure is solid. No real complaints. I’d return.

Second time visiting this location. Was the least expensive from other hotels in the area. Nice pool and gym that does the job. Everyone was nice and helpful. Needed a safety pin and they had one. Breakfast was good. Only issue in had was having to call up more than once for new towels.

Spent a week at courtyard and was well satisfied. Very friendly, helpful staff which is refreshing these days!! I feel it is clean and comfortable. I think the food is pricey but maybe to be expected? The decor is dated and something near time to update. Well stay here again.

I completely regret straying away from Hilton Properties! The reservations line has been horrible with customer service and all of the functionality that they promised ended up not being available. Then the manager that I spoke to from the location caused issues that ended up costing us extra money and now we are stuck in a room with a company that doesnt deserve our business. I have status with Marriott and now will let it go away.

Hotel is nice but we had a couple of rooms with AC issues. Management was extremely receptive and helped get us moved around. People are great, its just the facilities that could use some work.

Urban, color, friendly and very comfortable beds. The location is surrounded by steakhouse restaurants.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I liked that we had a sliding glass door and a little balcony; we were on the side of the hotel that faces the freeway so we didnt have it open often due to noise but I appreciated the option to have coffee outside in the monrings. The staff was great, everyone we came in contact with was friendly and courteous. The only downsides would be that there are no mini fridge or microwave in the room, and they charge $4 for the bottles of water they leave on the desk in the room next to the coffee. We booked a special and got a good deal at just under $100 a night for this place, if I had paid the full price for a room I would expect them to be able to throw in a bottle of water at no charge. Everything else was great and we would stay here again.

When you got an lifetime elite member and current Titanium one at that, please put others on hold so we can get to our rooms. Also the TV is 5 inches thick - cant afford some decent LED flatpanels?

This is my first stay here since they remodeled the joint and I must say it looks really nice. I am sad that they discontinued the local merchant promotion where you could show your room key and get goodies at shops nearby. BUT THE ECONOMY BEING WHAT IT IS, what was I thinking right?The rate here is fantastic, and actually if I still had reason to be on this side of town (which I dont anymore thanks to my mean old boss) I would continue to stay here like I used to do.There are TONS of things to do around here to fill your stomach, which is really all that matters right?Oh wait this is a hotel review... let me get down to brass tacks as it were:Rooms are well appointed and standard fare for remodeled CourtyardsTV comes in clear and angles to all the right places EXCEPT for out on the patio, where you can observe the after meeting crowd mingling and cooing at the palm trees.THERE ARE SO MANY PLACES TO EAT AROUND HERE it is crazy... I think people in Chandler must just be motivated by food and cars.The staff is friendly and not obtrusive (no call to my room to make sure it was ok).I did get a Platinum welcome gift, which was a bottle of water and a cookie... who can complain about that?Parking is easyFreeway is closeRate is greatClose to places I need to be/go (this week at least)What more can I say? Convenient location off of Ray and the I-10, it has a nice quiet lobby with a bar. They serve drinks and Starbucks coffee. Service is friendly.

Stay was great. Room was nice and had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. Only downside was that half the tv stations didnt work, but we werent there to watch tv, so not a big deal. Staff was friendly and made check in/checkout very easy.
