Excellent service!!! She did a great job and worked well with my daughter!!!Update: My daughter was the maid of honor in a wedding, that is what the dress was for. She received many compliments on how nice the dress looked. Plus, she danced the night away wearing it. Susan Maries tailoring was perfect, the dress fit wonderfully. Note that she had to take a large amount off the hem, but made it still fit so well. Great job!!!!

Choosing Susan Marie Tailors for my wedding dress alterations was the best decision I could have made. She is extremely knowledgeable and talented in her seamstress work. She hemmed the fragile tulle and lace scalloped edges with extreme care and it looks perfect. She also added beautiful reinforced bustles (over 15 I believe) to manage my extremely long train so that I can dance without my dress being trampled on. She also sewed in the bra cups that were initially only attached by 2 small stitches. All of this work came at an extremely reasonable price. Im so happy I decided to go to Susan Marie for my wedding dress alterations. I cannot wait to add my wedding dress photos from my wedding day to this review! Thank you Susan Marie!

I called several tailors to ask for help with modifying my wedding dress to add lace to the top and they all denied they could help. They made my request seem impossible so I started to feel hopeless. Susan Marie Tailors did not hesitate to assist and even showed me samples of what she could do. She was also able to meet a tight time frame. I did my fitting today and I fell in love with the dress! Its absolutely beautiful and she was so helpful in making sure she met my needs. After trying it on, she made minor adjustments while I waited and finished the job. She specializes in wedding dresses so was very knowledgeable! I dont think anyone else could have saved my dress. Plus her rates were super reasonable for the work done! I would definitely refer her to others! Thank you again!

Susan is one of the best people I have met. She takes great pride in her work, loves what she does, and is a wonderful person to be around. She is candid and realistic when talking about what she can do for you and she is not afraid to tell you when something you want is likely to be more expensive than its worth.She also gives great dating advice to love-struck men like myself.If I could giver her six stars, I would.

I would highly recommend Susan for any bridal, dress, pants, etc alterations. I had Susan convert my wedding dress into a cocktail dress. She made the dress bigger around the waist and chest since Ive gained a bit of weight since then and she changed the fit to allow room incase I have other fluctuations. Its so nice to be able to wear my wedding dress in the future since its now a cocktail dress, thanks Susan!

My mom is having her wedding on May 20, 2018 and she hired Susan to make the dress that she had been imagining. Susan wrote down all the colors and materials that they had discussed and agreed on together. On the day of the first fitting (Friday), Susan did not remember who my mom was, or her name. She told us to wait in the dressing room while she went to get the dress. She came back with no dress in her hand and said that the dress was not ready. Susan told us that she would have it done by Monday and that we could come back then to try the dress on. We arrive Monday morning at Susan’s work place and she brings out a dress that does not look anything like what they had discussed. None of the materials were like what they discussed. My mom was very upset and didnt know what to do since her wedding was only 8 weeks away. Susan offered to add more material to the dress but the materials were already not what my mom wanted. They agreed they would sleep on it and talk about what Susan could do for her. Susan called my mom saying that she could come in the morning. That morning Susan said she would give her the dress and a very small portion of the money back that was already given to her. My mom refused to bring home a dress she did not want and since Susan does not want to give her ALL of her money back, a law suit is being filed against her. Susan had written over the carbon copy receipt of the details of the dress and changed the color. She told us that she had a death in the family over the weekend that she said the dress would be done but she had none of the materials my mom asked for so she used what she already had. This is not fair to someone who is so close to their wedding date and was trusting someone to make what she wanted. I do not recommend Susan.

Susan was very helpful and patient. I had a lot of little things needed here and there that I wanted fixed and she was so attentive and supportive. She is easy to talk to if you have concerns and strives for excellence in her work. Thank you Susan!!

I called Susan and right as I began to explain what I needed done my toddler started to cry, I apologized to Susan and calmed her down quickly. Susan said nothing after I apologized, so I finished explaining the job. She told me she would have to pass due to being busy. I had no time table and would have been willing to wait, but she was unwilling to take my business. My best guess was that she was put off by my upset toddler.

My favorite pair of jeans had a big hole in them, Susan did a great job of patching them and now I can wear them again. Thank you. I would recommend her, she knows what she is doing.

She is a little brash. I do not have time to do it. couldnt complete int three days, just to alter mens pants. I am glad she is busy though. I would work on being more polite and offering some sort of alternative.

Susan has done tailoring for myself and my husband for years. She is articulate reasonably priced and gets the job done for us every time.

Previous reviewers noted a brashness in tone, and this is now verified. Obviously not part of any successful business model, such customer service reveals a hobbyist, rather than a working tailor. A reasonable request was turned away, sight unseen.

Do not use Susan!!!I hired Susan to make my wedding dress back in feb 6 2018 my first dresss fitting was suppose to be March 22 2018 I ended up rescheduling the appt for March 23 2018 so my mom n mother n law and daughter could make it she said that was ok that they could come I show up at her home “work place “She didn’t even remember who I was and asked for my name she takes us back to the bedroom and comes in and says my dress wasn’t ready and that she felt super embarrassed i responded with yes you could have called to cancel at least and she agreed I asked if I cud see the dress so I could at least look at material so I could start shopping for shoes and she wouldn’t show me the dress i started to have a bad feeling that the dress still didn’t exist at this point she not sure how that could have happened since I had just called her to reschedule a day before ! so I show up on that Monday I walk in and the dress she made was a totally different dress I ordered and she even changed my color from ivory to champagne color I told her it wasn’t the dress I ordered and instead to trying to make things right she was offering to just add more material to the dress I told her there was nothing she cud do to fix the dress because the base of dress didn’t even look like Wht I asked for she was in denial and told me she wud sleep on it and call me in the morning so she did we had a 35 min conversation I basically stated the dress wasn’t at all one I send her a pic of I told her I felt she Over the weekend made the dress half fast and she didn’t disagree she told me that she was human and that she had had a death in the family “her sister-in-law passed away and her son came into town I told her that was fine but she shouldn’t have started making my dress in distress and didn’t know what she was doing at this point I asked her to return my money and she agreed being that she said she was a Christian women and she realize that she did make a dress that wasn’t mine She told me to show up at her house at 11 AM to pick up the check and when I got there she told me she got legal counsel from her accountant and he told her to give me $200 plus the dress I refused both and told her she wud be hearing from my lawyer I told her she was leaving me in a bind being that my wedding was in 8 weeks and I didn’t have a dress she didn’t care so I had my lawyer involved he wrote her a letter asking her to return my money and and still refuses to return the money i filed a law suite against her I will follow up when I get that court date !

Absolutely fantastic. Susan has altered 20+ items for me, including a bridesmaid dress. Of youre hard to fit, shes a miracle worker.

Had pants altered the line wasnt straight and can see the thread line.
