Big gym, lots of equipment, not crowded, really clean. I will definitely come back when Im in the area

This is a great facility with an even better staff. Im so happy to be able to use my black card membership when not in my hometown.

The staff is super friendly & the facility is always nice & clean! I enjoy having this space to get some exercise.

I have to tell you guys. Woody needs recognition if he hasn’t already. I used to own a business, and Woody would have been such a great hire. You guys really won the lottery with this gentleman. He is friendly, and kind, and always doing his job, he also knows guest’s by name. The other person have to give a shout out to is Rachel! You can tell she enjoys her job, and again.. knows people by name, and is extremely polite and professional. I would highly recommend this gym based off of staff, and cleanliness is top notch. Wonderful job.

I applied for a membership card, but I only went there for a month, since I cant cancel my membership directly by phone call, so I plan to just keep my membership. A terrible thing happened, I followed their stuff to bind the bank card in their app and automatically deducted $10 every month. In the past two months, they have deducted nearly $100 from me. I dont know where many unreasonable charges come from. I went to the staff to explain, they all said that they had no right to refund me, but the manager was always out of the office, and I only get respond once on the email and then never responded. It is recommended that you guys do not apply for a membership card, as there will be a lot of unreasonable charges. The advertisement is false, they will find all kinds of reasons to deduct money. You can never reach the manager.

BE CARFUL TO UNDERSTANDING THE FEES. I was mislead by the advertisement. I thought I was getting to try them for $1 for a month with no strings attached, and then I was charged $22 a week later. I woke up today and saw they charged me $39. I called the desk and they said thats the annual fee. Im canceling it because this is too much money. Also, they make you write a letter of why you want to cancel and thats very annoying. What bothers me the most about all of this is Im not going to get any of my money back. I only tried them out for about 2 weeks and I spent a lot of money.

Love all the equipment they have, great workout followed by a hydro bed massage.

Be sure to read and understand their policies! They do not make it easy to cancel your membership and their promotion does not exclude the annual membership. So what may look like a good deal can turn bad very easily. Planet Fitness have policies that make it easy for them to collect from you, but difficult to get out if you move away. It is clear they do not value members...Id recommend a local fitness studio that has local connections and local accountability.

Very thorough with following CUPHD guidelines during these crazy times. Staff is always sanitizing equipment and facilities. I don’t see this at other gyms.

Friendly staff and clean environment to work out in with lots of machines/treadmills/etc... Also they have free pizza every first Monday of the month as a reward.My suggestions are to put some free weight squat racks in (because I hate thoes self spotted ones where you have to have it on a straight line and dont have to balance the weight) and to not have a yearly fee because you advertise 10 bucks a month but its actually more than that with the annual fee.

So far I’m really enjoying my membership at Planet Fitness! The staff is very helpful, pleasant and welcoming. Even during busy hours, there is still plenty of exercise options as far as equipment and space. I’m hoping to make it to a class one of these days but the one-on-one with the trainer was extremely helpful in figuring out which exercises to do with my health restrictions. They are very knowledgeable and really care about helping others reach their goals in a safe and healthy way!

Planet fitness is always a great place to work out. I feel comfortable exercising on all the equipment and the facility is always clean and fresh!

Im really frustrated with the Champaign Planet Fitness. I moved and tried to cancel my membership over the phone (other locations allow this) and they are requiring me to send in a letter via snail mail to cancel. Seems like its a ploy to make it as difficult as possible to cancel. PF talks about canceling it anytime and then makes it hard. Seems to be bordering on false advertising. Time to focus on customers and their needs rather than trying to make it hard to cancel especially for those who are concerned about COVID or dont live in the area anymore.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of machines and weights, so even when it’s busy there is something available. Convenient location. Great price for membership. Wonderful extras, i.e., tanning beds, massage chairs and beds.

Good place to work out. Some of the tanning beds and the beauty angel are getting kind of shabby but still work. Frequently busy place. Staff friendly but cant always keep up with cleaning up due to the traffic. Great price membership.

Started going so that I could continue my cardio rehabilitation after I had stents.

Recently signed back with PF after some time off from working out. I was hesitant at first because of COVID but decided to give it a chance. The equipment is nice and the area is fine. However, they do not take COVID seriously here. I am thinking of giving it another week before canceling my membership.I was told the policy was masks on as you travel around the gym, but they can be off when you are working out in your specific area. People walk around everywhere without a mask. Employees do not say anything. I had to tell a kid the other day to wear his mask after he was walking around the entire gym without one while he was coughing. Staff needs to address these problems ASAP because it does not feel like a safe environment.The personal trainer (wearing a mask) was working with an individual (not wearing a mask) and they were both walking around in high traffic areas! Why is this employee telling this dude not to wear his mask. On top of everything, members often DO NOT clean up after themselves. It is truly disgusting. I can continue with more stories from my 3 days working out there. I will give it one more week before I cancel my membership.The manager, a younger white male, was very friendly and professional. He was one of the only positive experiences during my time there.If you are hesitant to get back into the gym because of COVID I would not go to PF.

Ive been going here for a few months now and its great. The low cost plus availability of being able to go whenever you want is a great combination!The gym is typically very clean and well maintained. Rarely do I find machines out of order which is a big plus.I dont have the premium membership so I cant say much about that but it would be interesting to see how those additional perks work.

Lots of space, both inside the facility and in the parking lot. Staff is always helpful and they dont abuse the lunk alarm.

Smaller than Champaign but staff is great. Dre the personal trainer is among the best in this area. He offers private lessons also. Highly recommend this gym if you want a judgement free place that will guarantee results

Extremely disappointed with this PF location lately. In all the years being a PF member the gym has been well ventilated and cool. There is usually constant air circulation and. Sweat dries pretty quickly. The gym is uncomfortable. I smell things I never smelled before. People are sweating profusely and there is sweating drops everywhere. Furthermore its humid and feels unclean. I have complained several time and there is no change. I am thinking up moving up farther in my complaint. Even today its cool outside and its humid and uncomfortable in here.

The philosophy behind planet fitness is the best thing ever - judgment free zone where everyone can do their workout in an atmosphere of mutual respect. The staff at this location are extremely friendly and helpful. This location is also one of the better PF locations with tons of machines and weights. Always a treadmill, elliptical, or bike available.

I have been here since 2015 or so. Not continously but I was off and on.The place hasnt changed much since it was first opened. Still nice and neat.They clean the equipments and the rooms well. There are still some smell, but its unavoidable for a gym, and its light, so not a concern.Location is convenient with big parking lot.The location is open 24/7 and most of the holidays, too.I am very pleased with the service.The Black Member is good to have. I can come to any location, but some location only allows 5 times entry if I am not a membership in that location.

Planet fitness in Champaign is always clean and bright. The equipment is clean and in excellent working order. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Plenty of aerobic machines, free weights and strength building machines. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean and spacious. The 30 minute exercise circuit is often used by members who only want to use one machine, but they move when circuit users approach. The only lingering problem is the difficulty with regulating the temperature in a couple of the mens showers.

This is one of the best gyms I have been a member of. They have a very spacious, clean environment with excellent staff. I would highly recommend the Black Card membership to take full advantage of all Planet Fitness has to offer. Besides, their best membership is still less expensive than a standard one anywhere else.

Great gym. Actually best gym Ive been to in awhile. I didnt feel like I was being judged while I worked out unlike when I was at golds gym. I felt everyone was there to work out and not show off unlike golds gym. Im definitely going to join this gym once my current gym contract is up

Fun place, advertisements are different from the actual place. Like there is not a real spa just a sauna and some cheap massage chairs. They do have a quick routine section that looks interesting

Planet Fitness is always super clean, and I always feel comfortable and safe working out there. Nice place for couples to work out too. Locker rooms are nice & black card area is worth the money. Love the tanning beds! One stop shop!

Working out in a clean and open environment is relaxing. I get the heart pumping, the blood flowing, and a big smile that I can work out, feel free and be myself.

This is one of the best gyms I have been too. The staff keeps the building, the machines and the changing rooms very clean. And a thank you to them for this.Very large gym so there is room to get a good workout in even during the busy hours. The upgrade to the black card is well worth it for the tanning, hydro and chair massages.

Extremely clean facility, spacious, and staff is friendly. Only drawback is the lack of free benches and squat racks, and a cap of the dumbbell weights. I understand this is their business model, but I feel PF can maintain their theme while offering a few heavier weights and machines.

My schedule only permits me to be able to go at certain times so I often see the same staff. Derek and Ty are very friendly, and hard workers. They are quick to assist and answer questions. Xavier is the assistant manager on shift when I go. He keeps the staff on task through managing well but also in leading by example. He has an excellent customer sevice mentality and work ethic. Xavier also encourages a high morale among the staff by encouraging positive interactions within the staff but also with customers. They all ensure that the facilities are cleaned regularly, the machines are checked consistently, and customers are tended to promptly. Clearly the manager of this gym is doing his job well if he is hiring and managing a staff that provides such a great environment. I would and do suggest this gym to everyone I know.

The staff are what make this gym the best in the area. They work diligently to ensure the facilities are clean and ready to use. Shout out to Chris, Xavier and the rest of the Planet Fitness team for providing excellent customer service!

The facility is large and clean with lots of TVs. There is plenty of equipment, on average 2 of each exercise machine. 2 sets of dumbbells from 5-75 pounds at 5 pound intervals, 5 Smith machines, lots of treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes, and restricted movement weight machines. Biggest downside for me is no barbells besides Smith machines, and small area for abs/met con work. The most significant benefit is the price! Cant beat $10/month.

I travel quite often for work so I have been to many Planet Fitness around the country but this one truly stood out to me because of this one associate by the name of Xavier! He went above and beyond to help me, he showed complete knowledge and understanding of the purpose of each work out regiment! I would like to say a special thank you!

This gym is always well lit, clean, and a comfortable place for anyone to work out in. I enjoy being a black card member so I can bring a friend with me each time and have access to unlimited massage chairs and tanning. The staff is always friendly. I love how un-intimidating theyve made the experience of going to a gym. People of all body types and fitness levels all together in the same space.

Barnone this is the best gym in the United States today. I love the policy and the genuineness that the staff have of keeping and maintaining the policy of treating each other with respect and kindness. Youve got state-of-the-art equipment and an excellent feel of the gym. I couldnt possibly ask for more amenities or a better environment. Working out is what I would assume most of our Lives when we go over there its a big part of our lives and its refreshing to know that the place and its continual growth as well as the staff and the community work in unison together to further improve and increase the quality of every experience we have while working out.

Would be nice if there are security cameras for the parking lot. Someone hit my car while parked causing some damages. Though, insurance covered most of it but still sting with out of pocket deductible. Whoever had no courtesy of leaving a note. Deserves a 5 star but would take out 1 star for the lack of security cameras.Otherwise, good gym. Early morning hours is one of the best times with fewer members & you can make use of most or all of the exercise equipment.

People are putting locks on lockers and leaving them there which is against the rules. Given there are not enough lockers to begin with, this is a problem. Ive told 2 different workers and sent an email. Some of the locks have been on for a week now. Theyre supposed to check each night and cut locks on overnight. No wonder lots of people leaving for crunch!They keep adding members but the locker rooms are cramped, dirty, and they dont have enough showers. Dont go before or after work very crowded and, especially if you need locker or shower

Staff is friendly, establishment is extremely clean and there is tons of cardio equipment .Yet to have to wait for any equipment to get in sets. Great price for the service and operating hours

I started coming to this gym with a friend. The staff are friendly and I was glad to have a place to workout that wasn’t full of beefy bicep guys. I decided to join and found the membership is one of the cheapest in town. I like to treat myself to a water massage after a hard workout.

My home away from home!!! The staff is great. Xavier goes above and beyond with his customer service. Kudos to the management for the staff that they currently have.

Horrible customer service. Dirty showers. Always out of hand soap. No one uses the hydrobeds and both were empty and they are to get out of with severe back problems. At night I ask for 30 minutes. Never an issue. Night people clean everything (Today there people cleaning a lot) Today the manager was there and I was told i had to go for 10 minutes and come back up for more. I told him i could barely get out of the bed once much less twice. Total lack of customer service. Cancelled my membership. Asked several times to be shown the machines and the workers didnt know. District manager: TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN!

Good gym overall; clean, friendly. However, you cant use Arcs or recumb bikes except for a couple hours around Noon in the winter, as youre staring into blinding sun on non-cloudy days. Need addl sun screens on upper sections of plate glass windows! Also, Arc users and recumb bike uses can not comfortably see the TVs--youre looking almost straight up.

Accepting environment, Super clean, staff is okay. No real complaints. If youre looking for a gym, Id recommend this one.

The price is right, could use some more variety in cardio machines. Maybe some higher incline treadmills, or a Jacobs ladder. A tread climbing wall...etc. etc. Variety is the spice of life.

Just joined. Visited recently, clean, quiet, nice machines. Need more about machines.

I really like the price and convenient locations and everything they have to offer, but this location and the Urbana I have not had good customer service, there is usually no one at the counter or they are under staffed and always busy and act like your a burden. Today I stood at the counter to tan and a new girl said she needed to clean a bed but said the other girl that was waiting on a customer said she could help me better b/c she had to take care of other people when they came in after me. I’m assuming to give them a tour. My thoughts was she was new, but tell me that it’s way more polite then to push me off on someone else. The girl I was waiting on was named marissa. She did not even acknowledge me or tell me she will be with me soon just ignored me until she was done with the other customer. Then told me there is a wait on the lay down....did not offer to tell me how long....so I had to ask .....she said a couple of minutes . Another lady came over and wanted a massage bed. She did not acknowledge her either and was too busy on the phone. The other lady that I was standing by mentioned to me that this girl is always rude. Then marissa came back and said my bed was ready ......and made a comment that “it’s Monday”. I don’t know why that had anything to do with customers needing help......please get more caring and helpful staff.
