From the second I walked in I knew that I had found my new favorite mens salon. I called earlier today to get a last minute appointment, lucky for me Claire was available for 2:45. When I arrived I was greeted by Rebecca with glowing smile and she gave me brief new client tour. I also asked her if she possibly had a mint or piece of gum. She didnt, however, she knew where to find some and she went out of her way to find it. Shortly thereafter I was greeted by Claire and I immediately knew that she knew exactly what she was doing. Claire is so easy to talk to and very personable. Her barbering skills are incredible and I honestly havent had a better haircut... ever. I am over the moon and completely impressed by the level of service provided. Thank you so much.

I had David as my stylist. I had to wait 45 minutes in the lobby before he even started cutting my hair. So it took in total an hour and a half. I went in June 4th at 5pm. Then when he brought me in he barely said a word. It was a really awkward experience. He also messed up my haircut. When he parted it he didn’t part it right and the blending in the sides looks really uneven. I hope the other stylists are better but for 50 bucks this was definitely not worth it.

I went for the first time recently. It was also my first professional haircut in a year and a half.My stylist was very knowledgeable and friendly.They gave me a great haircut and I look forward to going back in a month.

I got my haircut by Emmy and I have never had a better cut. Not only was she passionate about her profession, but she was so incredibly thorough. I can, hands down, say that I have never had a haircut that was that detailed. During the cut she mentioned how she listens to podcasts and continuously trains. I highly recommend this barber and barber shop!

This place was recommended by a friend so I have made an appointment to try them out. Everything was going well until my barber started speaking nonsense that completely weirded me out. I have politely tried to steer away from the topics she was bringing out but I felt like I was her psychologist to whom she needed to talk to while I just wanted a haircut in a relaxing environment. She was very critical of her co-workers as she thought she does more than anyone else.If she paid the attention to my haircut it would have been better than it was. Overall, for $41 haircut I expected more value. Wont be returning back.

I normally see Marlen, and she is fantastic, however I had to get a quick cut ASAP this week and went with an available substitute. Meet Emmy- she was amazing! She gave me exactly what I wanted, and listened closely to what I did NOT want (just as important, right?). The cut took a bit of time, about 40 mins total, and with COVID that made me a bit nervous, but it was my first cut since last February so there was a lot of hair to remove! Next time I’ll just skip the shampoo and conditioner to limit time. Both are great at their profession, and either would be a terrific choice for your first. The place is clean, friendly all around, and requires masks/temp checks upon entrance!

First Blanca cut my hair so it looked lob sided and it was by far one of the worst haircuts I had. She also showed up 10 minutes late and as soon as we were done she left taking a very short time on the haircut. Thankfully we went back and Marlen helped reshape my hair so it looked better then how Blanca left it.

Took advantage of a snow day to come in after 3 years.. Very happy I did. Shay did an amazing job. Great attention to detail. Great communication. Will be back!

I’ve had Dena train and shape my hair the best it has ever looked. I keep a pretty simple cut but it has always looked and stayed in great condition since she’s been cutting my hair. She’s an artist!

Ive been coming here for about a year now and love their service. Dena is an amazing Barber and Stylist and knows exactly how to get the look you want. She takes the time to wash your hair and is borderline a scalp massage. They have drinks, including beer, along with comfy chairs to sit in and ESPN on the TV while you wait.

Ive never had a haircut done with such precision and attention to detail. Miranda is S tier talent and would highly recommend her services. Think Ive finally found a place to visit regularly.

I started going to 1818, because nobody could get my hair right, no style, nothing spectacular, even other salons gave me what amounted to a barber cut. At 1818, I found Dena, she is fabulous, she listened, and transformed what I told her into the best style cut I’ve ever had, period! My husband received a haircut here and it was terrible. The staff was more interested in their conversation about their weekend then they were about the haircut they were providing. When we got home we realized that there was a huge shelf in the back as well as razor burn all over his neck. We had to go someplace else to get it fixed. Waste of money and time. We will not be back.

I was looking for a new place to get my hair done after moving to far from my old stylist. After seeing all the great reviews online I decided to give 18|8 a try. Im always very nervous about having someone new cut my hair but this place definitely knows what they are doing. The entire salon feel relaxed but high end. Everyone was so nice. I had the pleasure of having Chai cut and style my hair. He listened to the ideas I had then began the session. The entire time he was full of conversation and really made me feel like I wasnt just another client. The entire session lasted about an hour and it was worth every penny. The attention to detail from Chai was awesome and I will most definitely be coming back.

1. Im picky, and want a competent, pleasant, stylist.2. My first time at this salon, was a 20 minute delay, as the stylist was busy. This turned out to be good news. Casey focuses on each customer, instead of always fitting into a time slot.3. Casey used scissors and a straight razor (only for thinning).4. Shampoo before the cut - and AFTER the cut to remove loose hairs.5. Bright and engaging conversation.6. Oh - I forgot to tell you about the wine and/or beer while one is waiting.7. Probably the best, first experience for a new salon. Top drawer, considerate, and engaging.

Dina rocks!!! I cant attest to the other stylists there but Ive been going to Dina for over a year and I wouldnt use anyone else! Shes in a senior role so her services are at a premium but you get what you pay for! Cool place and good location.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A BEARD TRIM!! They are cosmetologists, not barbers, that do not have experience with beards. My boyfriend came here today and saw (Irene? lots of makeup and botox) a lady for a haircut and beard trim. But what he got was a haircut and a whack job! She was supposed to trim it up and she ruined it! She cut off all the length, its not even anywhere, and she didn’t even clean it up! We paid $70 only to have to drive 3 mins to Cutters Den to pay someone else to try and fix it as best as possible. My boyfriend, who is a doctor and must look professional, was nice about it, but I would have freaked out on her if I had been in there. And I definitely wouldn’t have paid her $70!! She should have had more class and professionalism to tell him ahead of time that she is inexperienced and incapable. And after she butchered it, she definitely shouldn’t have charged him so much for it.I have before and after pics of this mess!

Marlen is great. I believe I was one of her first customers after she moved back from Seattle. Thats how long Ive been going to her. For us vain and insecure people, its hard to find someone....someone almost perfect at her/his craft. Well, Marlen is just that...perfect at her craft...an artist. The best haircut & hair salon experience Ive ever had! Having gone to 3 different hair salons in the same day trying to get a walk-in haircut. All of which told me there was a 3+ hour wait and were very snobby... 18/8 was kind enough to schedule an apointment for the same day! I recieved spa like treatment, and the staff was incredibly kind. I plan on going to 18/8 for all of my future haircuts and suggest you do the same!

Great haircut experience aside, don’t fall into the trap that I did. Had a 2 for 1 special offer under my account and when I setup the appt I inquired about that offer. I was told she couldn’t look that up under my account until I came in for my appt. So made an appt and rcvd an exceptional haircut but then was told at checkout that the special offer only applied to the stylist who handled my first cut and that she no longer worked there. Shady deal!
