Great place to do your own physical therapy or just work out. Ive had 3 knee replacements and love being able to go and do my own therapy. Staff has been amazing and helpful

This is the best gym Ive been to. I love that its open 24/5 and the staff is very friendly. Its clean and socially distant. I appreciate that its not too busy in there and everyone minds their own business. Theres never anyone just taking up equipment while on their phones either. It is a motivating environment. My ONLY complaint is the Lindale Mall location is not open yet, so I drive about 30 minutes to get there.

I absolutely love this gym. Plenty of machines you can use. They have safety protocols for covid which is nice. Their locker rooms are kept nice and clean. The staff is so friendly and the people there keep to themselves. Its a great gym to get a membership with, but if you do I highly suggest getting the black card so you can bring a friend along to workout with 😃

Shout out to this planet fitness for hooking me up with a guest pass and letting me maintain my gains while on business so I didn’t have to workout at the hotel “gym”. Staff was very friendly and my tour guides food wise. I went to three of their recommendations and they did not disappoint. Gym was clean and had everything I needed to get through the week. Trying to figure out whether all the attention you get from going from 225 pounds of marshmallow to 215 of solid mass is worth it. Its not like other gyms.

Very clean and super helpful trainer. Fellow guests are all in good spirits. Tanning beds as well as stand ups have strong bulbs and the hydro massagers are especially nice after a work out.

Equipment is always in good shape and there’s enough available for almost all times except the rush hour.

Staff are all pleasant, and helpful, Ive noticed an increase in cleaning the machines and general cleanliness of the facility. Its a great place to work out and feel better.

The staff here are always awesome minus one staff member I have encountered. They always have a happy disposition and are inviting. They keep the facility clean and in great shape. It truly is a judgment free zone. You do not have any of the qualms you would normally have about some gyms!

Very clean place and the layout is really nice! It has a great atmosphere as well. The only thing I recommend is that if they require people to wear masks, they should enforce it. Wearing masks is going to be the norm for awhile, so staff need to be more assertive.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I exclusively use the treadmills, which currently are only every other one in use due to COVID-19. Cleaning materials are readily available to wipe your machine down before/after each use. Despite every other treadmill being shutdown, I have not had any issues with getting one yet (in the last month), during peak times.

Went into this location twice over the last year to have my membership cancelled. Both times I signed something to cancel my account, but Im still getting charged! This is so annoying.

Went to the Cedar Rapids location tonight at 5:30 pm with a friend who is a member. I was thinking about maybe joining. The outside doors said masks are required, but as we went in there wasnt any patrons wearing masks. Staff also was not cleaning the equipment, was an easy decision not to join, false advertising!

Great facility at a great price! Only complaint so far is that it would have been nice to be shown around a little bit more when I signed up. No real orientation although most things are pretty self-explanatory. Only been there a couple of weeks but the place is super clean and staff is friendly.

Love the atmosphere. And I know it says judgement free zone but there are those certain people that you know are silently judging you. Im just trying to get in better shape. Dont ruin my motivation because youre already the weight it size you wanna be. Its a little harder for some of us. But the girl that helped me get my key card yesterday was fabulous.

Being a memeber of the Y the last 3 years we thought it was the best around. Once learning about Planet Fitness we were intrigued. Checked it out. So much cleaner. No kids running around unattended etc. While we support what the Y is and how many they help, I was paying 100 a month for our family. Not really able to utilize because of their hours. This was why we learned towards Planet Fitness. WE ARE SONGLAD WE MADE THE CHANGE.

I really like working out here and would like to continue doing so. Ever since the virus forced all businesses to shut down and change their ways, now that they have reopened, they are on limited hours. I really hope they go back to their hours they had before, as I work Third shift and working out now has become difficult in finding the time to do so. I know they’ve lost business because of this and I have been looking at other gyms that work better with my hours. I really hate to leave but I need to do what is best for me.

I like planet fitness. After work hours sometimes it gets really busy and crowded. But I love the fact that they have fitness for 10$ a month for the basics. Staff always greets me when I come and leave! And also I love the no commitment! I worked a factory job and quit my membership cause I was getting plenty of exercise, I didn’t hesitate to go right back once I got an office job again!

SO affordable. My favorite part about this gym is the zero commitment, so no fee if you quit, but honestly their memberships range from $10-24 a month, and the basic membership is all you really need.Their black card membership is also awesome though, because you can bring a workout buddy, which has been tremendously helpful with my workouts. It also gives you access to their spa. The hydromassage is amazing and a really good way to relax your muscles after each workout. There are other perks to having this membership, but those are my favorite.They offer free fitness training at even their most basic membership, which I think is amazing.The place is VERY clean and sleek, and the staff is friendly.If youre thinking of joining a gym, I HIGHLY recommend trying this one.

I love how friendly the staff is everytime I come...i would definitely switch out the rags after every use in the tanning beds tho..i have tried to clean them after i leave but the rags are soaked..not sure I have had a clean rag to use.

The person at the desk 1/16/2021 when I went to cancel was so rude and argumentative. Tried to tell me the bank would deduct the monthly fee on a Sunday. When I explained the fed is closed on weekends and holidays and while you may submit it, it will not post until the next business day. She said I was just rude. I will never rejoin or recommend this facility to anyone.

Plenty of space and air flow. Wonderful equipment diversity, and long hours that will help you fit an hour or two into your hectic schedule! I really love having so many choices to challenge myself! This place is a wonderland. Even the locker room is bright, inspiring and spacious. I love being able to bring a guest for free, so I can share a fun, healthy way to relieve daily stress with friends and family.

Not enough abdominal machines. No time limits on cardio machines and there needs to be.

This branch made cancelling my account so difficult. I tried to cancel in person, I wrote a letter to cancel my acct, received email confirmation and they STILL continued to pull money from my account for 2 extra months. After I tried to explain to the manager, He was very rude and not helpful at all, claiming that a different company handles the account withdraws and he couldnt do anything. I wasted so much time trying to settle this. I contacted my bank and they said that Planet Fitness is the most common company that they have problems with taking peoples money after canceling accts. I wouldnt even give them a 1 star review. TERRIBLE customer service!

This place seems nice have heard good things, but from what I understand there are unfortunately no bench press, or squat rack. But would definitely recommend for beginners just looking to cut some pounds. Would love to see them add more free weights!

Need more free wieghts

I’ve been to many PF locations and never would have thought the CR IA location would be my favorite. The way it’s laid out is fantastic, with loads of equipment and a great Black Card Spa. Shelby is an exceptional manager and provides customer service you rarely find these days. I highly recommend this gym.

I have quadrupled my visits to the gym since joining Planet Fitness. This place is clean, organized and employs wonderful, helpful staff both in the early morning and evening hours. I am SO glad that I finally got off my high horse and paid them a visit. I feel like Im investing more in myself and less in a gym that I never used.

Planet fitness has very nice equipment throughout the building. Its easy to use and the staff are friendly. Ive been going with my girlfriend for about a month now and we have both had a lot of fun while doing our workouts. My experience has been quite enjoyable!

Absolute WORST customer service that I have ever received. I was signed up for a month to month student membership with was roughly $19, but they charged me $41 for a fee that the never specified. At first they were understanding and said that it would be resolved immediately and that they would send me an email confirming my refund, but the email never came. We contacted them again and they apologized again and said that they would email me, and once again they never did. This continued for 2 MONTHS, during which the manager (Maureen Dees) completely avoided us and was refusing to respond to calls or emails. It eventually came down to my dad (who is a very nice and calm individual) getting involved and physically going to the gym to ask to speak to the manager, and, once again, he was met with “she isn’t here right now but she’ll send you and email”. He asked to speak to a higher up in the company and they refused to. My dad agreed to have Maureen email him and left. A few hours later, the police are at my house telling my dad that he is no longer allowed to step foot in planet fitness or he’ll be arrested for trespassing! Turns out the manager WAS there when my dad was and was physically avoiding him like she had with the emails. We explained the whole situation to the police and they then called the gym back, had the charges dropped, and were able to finally help me get my refund. I am absolutely shocked and appalled by the behavior shown by the management at this gym and DO NOT recommend anyone to it.

Absolutely love this gym! Staff is always friendly and helpful. The machines are so easy to use even if you have never seen them they have easy to read diagrams demonstrating how to use them! I also love what a deal the membership is! It is by far the cheapest price for all of the benefits included!

They are so nice

Planet Fitness is my first gym and my experience has been nothing but positive. The facilities at the Edgewood Rd location are clean, the staff is approachable and answers my (many) questions without judgment, and they have a good selection of machines to work with. The price of a full membership is very reasonable, and the access to the spa services and the ability to bring guests along with me make it a worthwhile investment. The other regulars I see are friendly and I feel comfortable every time I go there.

I have just joined the fitness center and so far I am extremely happy with all of it. Their staff are very friendly and helpful if needed. Good place to work out, tan or just relax in one their massage chairs.

During the covid they were closer but they surely charged my account 12 times @ $32.00 a pop and they did it 12 times in in 2 so a total of roughly 600.00. there is not not that much working out I cancelled immediately oh and d I mention the emails I got from them said no charges until Jul but no one being accountable save your money n go to the MA

Enjoy the laid back atmosphere. Lots of equipment along with a wide variety. I like that there are signs on the walls to suggest different exercises.

I have been a member of 3 or 4 gyms off and on in this are and as a black card member this is one of the best and cleanest. Not only does it have plenty of machines and free weights but as a black card member you can tan or get massages in two different chairs. That gives you a nice little relaxing back tap to yourself after working out. The staff is friendly and people kinda keep to their own so theres not that annoying gym guy running around.

If ZERO STARS was an option...Came in twice with a simple question about membership. The District Manager was there the 1st time and promised to get back to me soon...I never heard back. Stopped in again and essentially the same the thing happened with the Manager. So I called the 3rd time and got the Assistant Manager. He only offered excuses for the lack of ANY response and informed me that I would have to call corporate. Except, HE DIDNT KNOW THE NUMBER!!!!! When I asked how I was supposed to get the number then (especially since he informed me he is the one training the current Manager :O) he told me it was available online and deliberately hung up on me...Seriously have no idea how they keep any customers with such HORRIBLE Customer Service and lack of follow up!!

A very friendly and professional staff in a clean and up to date environment. Shelby, the manager, is very positive and upbeat. I have enrolled in classes taught by Marissa, the trainer, and have made phenomenal progress in a relatively short time. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and beyond that, exhibits true engagement with her students and their goals and progress. A winning combination with facilities and personnel not found in many gyms.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness since the begining of the year, and so far its been a great experience. I really enjoy that this fitness facility has mutiple pieces of the same equipment eliminating most waiting time which was my past experience at other gyms. If there is one area where they could improve I would say new/potential membership orientations. From my personal experience, it appears this task is treated like a visit to the dentist, no one wants to do it, but its necessary. Perhaps SMEs (subject matter experts) may be the answer, individuals who views this task for what it is. An opportunity to attract new members who will see the benefit of joining and staying, and the motivation of existing members to remain loyal clientele. Just a thought...

Signing up was really easy. I also met with the personal trainer who listened to what I wanted to try to do and worked with me on that. The staff is always really friendly and helpful.

Love this place! Satff is always super friendly and helpful. They have any type of equipment you need and then some. No rowing machine but I dont think thats a very standard piece of equipment. Their hydro massage chairs are amazing. It is usually not extremely crowded and I rarely have to wait for a piece of equipment.

Nice clean gym

The lay out of this PF is pretty nice, not super big or small. However, the cleanliness is subpar. Every time I’ve gone in the bathrooms are dirty, the showers have hair in them, the floors constantly have dirt/hair/Q-tips laying around. The tanning beds look dusty. It’s just not very clean. Personally wondering what the staff does sometimes.

This place is GREAT. I love coming and working out without having the pressure of people making people uncomfortable. It is a positive environment and the staff at Cedar Rapids, IA location is EXCELLENT!!!

Very open, friendly place. Have membership options available for everyone. A variety of different people with different work out levels. Planet fitness has several different types of work out machines and several of the most widely used to eliminate the wait time. Also provides a circuit work out for those of us who are not sure exactly what to do. The facility also had tanning and massage chairs available with the right membership level

We love the atmosphere, available equipment, amenities and the staff. As gyms go this is the best of the best for the average person to get in shape. Very highly recommend.

Recieved a few free month so I tried it out. Gave them my checking info because I figured I would do it for a year. PF took gym fees when I was signed up for free and that was in June. Im still waiting for my money back its been over a month. They are working on it but shouldnt take this long. Cant wait for 100 bucks back.

The best place

This place is terrible I tried logging into my account online and I forgot my username. I tried to recover my account my using my email. But it wouldn’t send not ever. So I tried to call they tell me they couldn’t help. Tomorrow I am cancelling my membership period. Bad customer service as well

The price is nice, but the lunk alarm is so cringey (they sound an alarm with flashing lights if you drop your weights). I never saw anyone drop their weights on purpose, but I did see a few folks get the alarm pulled when they accidentally dropped the weights. So much for being a judgment free zone.

If youre looking to bench they only have a smith machine, which really does take away any joy for me. In all honesty.

Wonderful place, wonderful staff, very courteous and pleasant. We had a blast. I went to other places like monkey Joes in Des moines with a young child but they have much more selection of arcade and fun games in addition to the arcade. Keep up the good service.

I feel very comfortable there. The majority of the staff is very friendly. I have been to other gyms and never felt as comfortable as I do at planet fitness! So many machines. Love the tanning and massage chairs! I would recommend to Anyone!

The price is awesome for a whole gym, the staff is always friendly and very easy to talk to, very clean and you never have to wait to use a machine and you dont feel like you need to rush to get your workout done.

I just started going here and it is very clean, nice equipment, friendly staff, and plenty of room to do whatever it is your workout dictates. It took me a while to pull the trigger on the signup because they require your banking information to directly take the monthly payments out of your account, but I finally caved and so far, I am happy I did.

I like coming here, It gets reaaallly busy in the mid-afternoon 4-6 time frame. This place has no short supply of treadmills, but could benefit from a few extra smith machines, benches, and free weight sets in the weight area. On more than one occasion, Ive had to adjust my workout to an alternate type of workout from a bench or smith machine not being available. Aside from that, happy with it so far. Ive been a member for almost 2 months.Also, Machines are Hammerstrength.

No pressure indeed. Helpful staff, amazing hydro - massage chairs (included in membership), tons of equipment that is easy to use, rows of TV options, 30 minute circuit section that takes the guess work out of your workout. Several tanning beds and 2 regular massage chairs, locker rooms are clean. Shower is separated from a changing stall, would be nice if they were just individual room where you can do it all like others Ive been too. But again thats the worst thing I can say about the place, and maybe a need for more parking. Very busy from 5-7 pm avoid that time if possible. Great for the money.

Great place, just wish they had more equipment such as a bench press, incline and decline for a macho man such as I who desires a chest only a god could possess that makes a babe get on her knees and begs baby please. Need more plate loaded equipment rather than mainly cable machines because what happens when this gorilla get to strong and needs more weight to advance to the next level??? Cant beat the price. Facility seems to be generally clean and in good condition. Machines all work as supposed to. Nice locker room. Get a lot of value for your money.
