On 07/02/2021 I received an invoice that included charges for vehicle damages in the amount of $300.00. The notice stated that I have 30 days to dispute the validity of the charges. I am disputing these charges as the vehicle was Not damaged in any way.** I filled out a survey to inform Hertz about how I was mistreated at the office where I rented the vehicle. I called this office to inquire about the necessary documentation needed and requested all details of the rental. I was told of the rental amount and that I would need a Drivers License and a Major Credit card. Upon arrival, The manager came from the back of the store, appearing to be irritated. I proceeded to give my Credit Card and Drivers Licensed and was told that this was not sufficient. I questioned the reason and was told that a 600$ deposit was necessary. I proceed to advise that this is Not what I was told over the phone and requested a manager. This person proceeded to tell me he was the manager, that he was the one I spoke with over the phone and that If I would have asked about a deposit he would have told me. The Manager was disagreeable and unpleasant. I advised that $600 was above the credit limit on the card. This guy was extremely dismissive and stated there was nothing he could do and he could not rent the car to me. I was literally stuck in Cedar Rapids. There was another customer there who pulled me outside and stated that this man is Always this way and that I could reserve the car for 1 day instead. When I went back into the office, I requested the rental for one day and was astonished at how the Manager stated ok. I was embarrassed and upset because why did this Manager treat me in such a bad way and upset my entire day. Why would he not want to help me? I asked him and his response was Its not my job to assist you. WHAT!?? The Manager had me sign some papers then proceeded to the back. This was the last time I saw him. There was a very pleasant young lady who drove the car around and handed me the keys. The car was not what I reserved. The lady stated The manager gave the other customer the sedan and that they had just cleaned this SUV. She proceeded to tell me the rules of the car and apologized for such nasty treatment.I returned this vehicle in Perfect condition and I cant help but feel this is sabotage.***Update***Received an email stating there would be no charges for damages

Hard to reach by phone at times. No lot attendant. Returns are awkward. You have to document your own mileage, bring your key inside, fill out the form and use the key drop. Give yourself extra time.

Needed a rental because our car broke down. No problems getting the rental. When our car took longer to fix, an extension was about 2 and a half times the original cost, even though I could book another rental for the same price. Called, and they said they couldnt do anything on the phone, Id have to book it on the computer.

Worst experience and will never book again. Booked rental 3 days back, when went to airport for pickup they told no cars are available. The lady over the counter is very rude and dont respect customers. We planned a trip for a week booked all the hotels. Now at the last minute we are forced to cancel all over plans. Hertz this is not expected.Rating one stat is also not worth

We had a bit of a family emergency, and we were scrambling to figure out how to get my sister back to Tennessee (from Iowa). After a couple days of struggling, we got it figured out, thanks to the kindness and patience of the lady working there. My only regret was not getting her name.

Fast and easy experience. They dont have a gold board at this small airport location. Even so, landing at 11-something at night to find no available taxi, the rental was quickly accomplished with an excellent selection of vehicles waiting.

Great service. Happy to be Hertz customer. My flight was scheduled out of the operating hours of the business and my keys were left for me to pickup. I was informed on how to find my keys and It was smooth transaction. Very Pleased with the service.

UPDATE: I had to stay overnight at a nearby hotel and exchange the car for a new one in the morning. Amanda and Linda were super friendly and helpful through this stressful experience. I changed my review from 1 star to 5 stars because of them! Thank you!!Im STRANDED!!!!! Was told to come here by Hertz Emergency Roadside Assistance to exchange a car that had tire pressure issues... got here and no one is here. I waited on the phone for a representative for 45 minutes.... now weve been on the phone for over an hour, the tire is totally flat and theyre still trying to figure out what to do.. Guess this is why Hertz filed bankruptcy. Clearly cant manage their business!!!!

It was so easy renting from Hertz. The lady that helped us was very nice and also gave us a few laughs as well. She was terrific and entertaining. Also, she was very informative and able to answer all of our questions and concerns. She even gave us her phone number in case we had any more questions. Having AAA helped as well. We were able to have a flat rate for renting a reliable vehicle with tons of room. It was fantastic to have on our near 2,000 mile road trip. The return of the vehicle was simple and easier than I thought it would have been. I would recommend this company, because of our great experience. Five stars!

Likely the most convenient auto rental experience we have ever had. The auto was located within a 1-2 minute walk from baggage claim exit door at the Cedar Rapids airport(CID) which made it very quick/easy to get in the vehicle, drive away upon arrival and return it when our visit concluded. The Hertz desk was right next to baggage claim which made the pickup/return quick/easy.

We had a SUV reserved for a week went to go pick it up and they wouldnt let us rent the car because I had a credit/debit card not a major credit card, almost ruined my whole vacation but ended up getting a car down at enterprise witch accepted my credit/debit card. They didnt bother to tell me I needed all this until I came to pick up the car very bad experience here I would never recommend anyone to rent from here.

I had a worse experience,rent a Car for a day,when I returned it,I just use a 1/8 of gas tank but they charged me more than a full tank of gas bcz they see I didn’t have time to refilled a tank and my flight was living,I would never recommend anyone to rent there.

Worst customer service. We were going to rent a car from them because on their site it states that you can use a debit card that has a Visa or MasterCard logo on it. Well they wont its a lie. They also will take money from you then not let you rent the car. Then you have to wait for an investigation to be refunded.WHAT! Why do they need to do an investigation when we clearly dont have the rental and they messed up! Come on. This is the worse experience I have had from a rental company. Hell enterprise takes debit/credit cards.

We were very pleased with the van. There were 6 of us with 2 children in the back. They were well entertained with the movies. The ride was smooth and quiet. It was nice to have air control even to the back seats. The seats were also very comfortable. I would recommend this van, Chrysler Town and Country.
