From start to finish very solid company. Used their website for a quick quote, response was within a day, crew out the very next day. Nice guys! Spent time walking the home with us and went right to work. Pricing was reasonable and we will use again for all our floor service needs in the future.

As an employee and customer i can say that we have been upgrading to quieter systems for after hour and business hour use. Most of you fail to keep in mind that we dont choose to work at 11pm but offer emergency water removal. if any of you complaining about late night noise have your toilet overflow or your sump pump fail during a storm or a pipe burst in the middle of the night during these arctic winters like your neighbors might have youll be glad someone bites the bullet and comes to help when your belongings and home are at risk of damage. As for punctuality and communication you must also keep in mind a few things that may deter your appointment time. 1st and foremost EMERGENCY water extractions. 2nd the job prior took longer than scheduled due to many different scenarios. We understand that these are all inconvenient to you and your schedules and absolutely do what we can to avoid running behind. I can personally say that i go above and beyond to communicate with and ensure every one of my customers are more than satisfied with the work theyve paid for and know quite a few of my colleagues do as well. I clean my own house, furniture, and rugs twice a year and it always looks and smells phenomenal months later even with a toddler dog and cat.

Our sump pump failed and we had inches of water in our basement. The team was quick to come out but sent a couple young kids out who just cleaned the carpets instead of actually inspecting the situation.Later a gentleman brought fans out to help dry things out. Came backs few days later and things weren’t drying. A few days later he brought someone from their Cedar Rapids office and they said our carpet wasn’t drying because of the protective pad underneath it. They should’ve never cleaned it and set up fans. It should’ve been ripped out right away.Instead of taking ownership for their mistake they just took our money and ignored our attempts to resolve the situation. We are small business owners and when we make mistakes, we don’t blow our customers off. We take ownership and make it right, even if it costs us.It was a terrible experience and they are completely unprofessional. Steer clear!

I have been using Actually Clean for four years and they are great! When there is a spot in the carpet, they dont just go over it once, they work at it to get it out. They rake the carpet with a special rake at the end to make it look great when it dries and to help it dry faster. They just did my carpets last Friday and I have never been happier with the results. Great job!!!

Im rating these stars because the first crew that came did a good job cleaning the rug after a water leakage. Then tthey brought a fan and a humidifier to dry the rug. after 2 weeks the rug was completely dry, Then this person came after a month to check upon them.We had not been notified that he was coming he provided a key by Affinity and he came knocked on the door one time and use then used the key and just walked up in my house without even giving me time to get to the door to see who it was.I was in the back & I was not properly dress in the process of me doing that, he comes in saying ACTUALLY CLEAN! soI said wait a minute did this person just walk up in my house where I pay rent and just started doing things like he lived there and pay rent.So I confronted him and I said I find it unpleasant for you to have a key and just walk up in my house and I could have in naked or anything what you all are suppose to do is knock and wait until somebody can get to the door, you dont just walk up in my house like that.This is what he told me Im sorry but thats what we do, so I said no thats not what you do you work for actually clean that gon you hurt just walking up in my house without any notice I said you have access because the property management gave you a key and which you are not suppose to have. I can knock somebody upside the head with a bottle or anything walking in on me and thats gon be what I do.Then on top of that he didnt get there appliances saying it was still wet and the rug was dry. You all the phobe number for a reason to call us when you coming I blame both companies plus affinity because they were the ones paying yall to do the job if they wasnt gon call you all should have done it.That was so unprofessional and I dont appreciate it at all next time call people and wait because the only one that suppose to have a key is the people who own the property the people who work in the office and the maintenance.How would you like it If came to your place of business and just walked up in there and start doing things and say this what I do you woukd not be please. Then rain my light bill up over $100 I tured it off because you all gon pay it.But what you need to happen actually clean and affinity needs to pay the light bills since they ran up which I know they are not, and both companies are responsible, but I blame Affinity more cause I aint about to put up with nobody just walking in on me. If this issue had not happened I wouldnt have hesitated to give it a 5 that cross the line.

I have hired Actually Clean several times in the last 2 years. Sure, their trucks are loud. Of course the guys a little rough around the edges! But they do an amazing job and the employees who show up to clean my carpets have been more than helpful. I hire them every few months after my two dogs have tracked mud in and I cant seem to keep up with it. They are also very affordable. Keep up the great work!Im surprised at the ratings on their page after looking for their phone number to hire them again. I think people need to understand that the quality of their work shouldnt be judged by loud trucks and employees who smoke. Keep up the great work!

They decided that 8:30pm was a good time to start cleaning an apartment. My wife and I are trying to put our daughter to sleep, but now she wont cause the trucks are too loud.

Previous positive reviews are correct. These guys will get almost anything outta carpet (even latex and acrylic paint surprisingly) for a great price. I use them for my home and rental properties, wouldnt recommend anyone else. Not sure why people gave 1s. Of course the cleaning truck is loud....it (and their employees) are doing real work. Hard for some people to understand that I guess

Im a property manager in the Iowa City area and we use Actually Clean for our apartment turnovers and common area cleanings. We always receive prompt and professional service with open communication, prompt invoicing, and amazing results. Ive personally used them every time Ive moved as well. Fran and his team are definitely the only call ones you need to call if you need carpets or duct-work cleaned.

Very unprofessional, they will clean loudly super late at night (10pm, sometimes 2am) and run their grinding machine waking everyone up. It’s incredibly unprofessional to work so late around residences, especially when the hours claim they close by 6.

Dont go to Theses guys this is by far the worst .my appointment was a week ago and they never showed up the office manager never even called me to tell me that his crew was still on another job so I called and rescheduled the wost mistake off my life and the guy was just rude very unprofessional just poor service over all I dont even think they deserve one star

Im not the happiest using this company for a couple reasons, When I was trying to set the appointment up, I was placed on hold for 25 minutes. A female answered the phone saying she was on the other line asking if i could hold. I said yes and got placed on hold not a big deal. And then a guy answered the phone took my information and said he had to go look at the schedule to see whats available. That was fine no issue but he never got back on the line, so I was on hold for another 5-6 minutes and the girl picked the phone asking how she could help me, explain i already talk with a guy and was waiting for him to get back to me on a time and date. I got placed on hold another time for another 5-6 minutes. Then finally another guy answered the phone explained what was going on to him and he took my information and got my appointment scheduled.After the carpet was cleaned, I was not explained how everything works after that, and I have not gotten carpets professionally cleaned before. Was very hard to figure it out due to my work schedule and their hours (not their fault at all). Once i got a hold of them i explain i had a unexpected vet bill come up and asked about doing two payments. The guy i was speaking with was not authorized to make those decisions but was going to take my information and pass it to accounting and have them call me. Well long story short they never called to let me know they were gonna do the split payments they just charged my card. I dont like how they charged my card without even calling or talking to me about the process or what they were doing like they said they would.I am unable to see the carpets as i had already moved out but my apartment management has not complained about them to me so i would assume the job was done right.

Ive tried a lot of other companies to clean our carpets. This company has done the best job by far of all the ones Ive tried. They been doing our carpets for the past 5+ years now, and still make our carpets look like new. FYI - tip the workers directly, dont tip on the check, the company actually keeps it.

Company sends crews out to run loud truck at night, crews are rude when asked about it, and told there is no noise ordinance. I live in North Liberty, and if you look it up, 7am to 9 pm are working hrs. This company only cares the dollar, find a better company.

Holy cow are these trucks loud. They have never cleaned my carpets, but they clean the carpets in our complex and are extremely loud for long periods of time. They must have an in with an apartment company because they do a lot of the complexes around Des Moines.

Absolutely terrible at scheduling and communication. We had an appointment, they called the wrong number to confirm, then went to their next appointment. They rescheduled, and then didnt show up to the reschedule either.

The crew at work waking up the entire neighborhood and everyone at the Fairfield Inn. Don’t be a dumbass like the crew at Actually Clean.

Horrible communication. Said they would be at my moms apartment (shes is disabled so i make all her appointments for her) at 4pm but called ME at 330 saying they didnt know what apartment to go to, I was not able to get to my phone till the evening as I told them when I made the appointment, so they supposedly left the apartment complex. I had told them all the information they needed when I made the appointment. My mom and brother even went outside a few mins before 4 and waited outside for an hour but didnt see anyone. When i found out I called and got a run around that hes not at the office right now and will do the apartment today. At this point Im pretty pissed but it needs done so I agreed. I called today because he couldnt give me a time last night that he would be here. The first time the phone was hung up as soon as it was picked up. And this last time it wasnt even answered. If you tell someone 4pm you should not show up at 330 and leave before the appointment time. Also who doesnt take the apartment number with them on a job? I should mention that the appartment office is in the same building a few doors down and the manager was there and knew we were getting the carpet done so all they had to do was ask her what appartment. It is obvious that they dont care about anyones time but their own.

The worst company in Iowa City, Coralville, Marion, Cedar Rapids area if you are looking for reliability. I recently (2 months back) moved to a new home in coralville and our agent recommended this company for carpet cleaning prior to the move. I asked them and the person who was supposed to call me 30 min prior to reaching called me and said he would be there in 10 mins. I was at work and understanding that time is important for everyone, i said i will take 30 mins and here is the garage code (it was a new house with nothing moved in yet). I reached in 40 mins and the guy had left (never called again). Also, when i called him back he never picked up my phone.So i called the office and the call was transferred to multiple people and finally after 45 mins on phone, someone got hold of him. And he said he couldnt wait and he needed payment before doing anything. Even then his attitude was too bad and was nearly yelling over the phone when i was upset on getting into this situation.Problems -1. Calling in at wrong times regarding reaching home.2. Not even calling again before deciding to walk out.3. No one telling that payment is NECESSARY before hand when i had set up appointment and called twice to confirm the appointment (it was a 90$ payment)4. I gave my garage code to respect his time and he never told me that he will walk out if i do not reach home in 10 mins (it was him who have me a 10 min notice despite prior commitment of 30 mins notice). I trusted them with home code and they did not trust for 100$.5. Not even calling when walking out of the appointment.6. EXTREMELY bad attitude when customer (myself) was upset on all this.I wish i could have put negative stars for their service and reliability. And i am not writing it the same day in anger. I waited nearly 2 months to put this review up as i do not want to put up exaggerated stuff in heat of the moment.

I use them for 10 years. And each and evey year was ok. This year was horrible. They tryed to get me to pay for each stain. He was counting $20.$40.$60 like a con. And i used them i know they dont charge extra for dirt stains. 1 guy worked and 1 was talking the whole time about his con years. Seriously i will never use them again and will get whisperridge apartments to quit their service. Also will talk to managment in country club village to switch them to. Each year i get a call when they will come. This year they showed up... my carpets are more dirty now then before. 1 month after their service. I was not comftable at all with those guys in my home.
