Our A/C quit working over night. We called Patriot Appliance Repair & HVAC. Paul came out very quickly and replaced the non-functioning capacitor. WOW!!! Thars all I could think, after speaking to this company.My repair issue needed explaining. In the past, when trying to explain my issues to other companies or technicians, they listened and then wanted to schedule a repair call. Which I didnt mind. What I was concerned about is them coming out, not listening to the real problem and the problem comes back. Which has happened at least 4 times already from different companies.I called Patriot Appliance Repair around 4:30pm and they answered. Not only did they answer, they listened. He didnt hurry me off the phone or immediately try and schedule a call like the rest. After hearing my story, the technician said that this was an easy fix and most likely I reconnect something when trying to fix it myself. He gave me some tips and said that he can come fix it, if I didnt feel like trying to fix it myself. He just didnt want to charge me money for an easy fix.It has been many years since I seen a company or its employees not take the easy route and make a buck off their customers when a simple suggestion can solve the problem. That speaks volumes to me especially during these difficult times where saving every penny counts.I will be a lifelong customer of Patriot Appliance Repair and I recommend them for all your repair needs.

I was very pleased with how this went down. I needed quick attention to my ice maker and started googling. I contacted Patriot based on the number of great Yelp reviews. He responded to me within less than 5 minutes and set up a diagnostic appointment for the next day. He determined the problem with the ice maker and also let me know I would be smart to replace the compressor on the freezer as well to fix the temperature and frost buildup problems. He gave me a quote, told me the parts he needed were available in Austin, and that he would be back the next day to do the work. He was right on time the next day, replaced the parts in a matter of minutes, and was out of here quickly. He was very efficient and friendly, and now I know who I will call if I have similar issues with anything in the future. Great job all the way around!

So, I tried to give the technician the benefit of the doubt the first time he came. He was super short with us, said since the oven was going in and out that we didnt have to do anything even though it would go out eventually. Obviously, we wanted to fix it which is why we called him out. He really just seemed like he didnt want to do the work, but he did it and it worked. For a week. When it went out again it took him FOREVER to get back out, though it was within the same week it wasnt on the day he said, and he said he would come first thing in the morning but showed up around like 11:30 with no notice or call ahead to say, hey, Im running late. Again, he was super short and rude with us. Aggressively pulled the oven out. Scratching tf out of my floor looked at the oven and said, It must be something electrical, I dont know and I dont want to order the parts then have a surplus of that part, so you just need to buy a new oven. Like what?! He then did not replace the oven door correctly or push the oven back in and left. I am 8 months pregnant, it was super hard to get it back in with my belly in the way, so that was annoying. DO NOT use these guys. I have a second opinion coming over. I am keeping Patriots magnet on my fridge to remind me who NOT to use in the future. So unprofessional and rude. Oh and he still charged us for the part that wasnt even the problem in the first place.ETA: I looked at all of their other bad reviews and it looks like they just say the person wasnt actually a customer. That they couldnt find them in their system. I know that this was the correct company. It was Paul who came out. I can post pics of their magnet and the damage on my floor if theres any question AT ALL. I just want to save someone else the heartache. I see all the good reviews and I wish that was the way we were treated. I love leaving good reviews, but that just did not happen in our case unfortunately.

We had issues with our LG washer where it was not draining properly. We have used Paul before, but this time I was out of town and my wife wanted me to approve the repairs. Paul texted me pictures as told me exactly was was wrong and what needed to be replaced.I approved the repairs and after replacing the drain pump everything was back to normal. Great service!

We had a home warranty on our fridge. Another service team came out to repair. They repaired the first issue and then all of a sudden my ice maker would not work. The first company has spent two months trying to fix the issue. They finally gave up and said maybe whirlpool will cover it. I called and its not under warranty. So I called Paul last evening. He had an appointment today ad came and immediately diagnosed the problem. Ice maker working again, a line was shut off. He is very courteous . I am happy all I had to pay was a service call. I would use him again.

Our Samsung fridge had been making a noise for a bit, and we had put off haing it looked at, until we came back from vacation to a warm fridge. I reached out to Patriot Appliance based on the plethora of good reviews and quickly heard back from Paul. He stopped by and was immediately able to diagnose the problem. Honest, Proficient, and very Capable, highly recommend. I called because I was having an intermittent issue with my A/C not cooling. He showed up and we repaired what we thought was broken based on the symptoms, and it worked for a day, but broke again that night. I called him around dinner time and he showed up first thing the next day and spent an hour debugging the issue with the A/C in the broken state. He replaced some parts and got to root cause and Im up and running again! Because it was within the 90 days of my last service, he didnt charge me for the work or parts, which was way above and beyond, but I greatly appreciate. Theyre my first call the next time I have a broken appliance for sure.

Paul (the owner) runs a great company and I had a great experience working with him to get our dryer fixed. Extremely polite and knowledgeable.Here’s how my experience went. I called him the morning our dryer broke and within hours he was at our house to check on it. He needed a part to fix it and then promised to be out the next day. The next morning I want able to be home to meet Paul. I was worried rescheduling would put us out of a dryer for a week at least. But I called him and he made it painless to switch to the next day! We had an unfortunate situation where a contractorcame to our house and charged us $1650 deposit, and never came back to replace HVAC unit ....without getting us up in running temporarily. Based off of a family member referral we called Paul at Patriot, he came and within a day had us up and running, fixed the existing unit, but we decided on a new unit, ... he had a new unit installed two days later, couldnt be happier.These days its imperative that each individual person takes the time to find out about the contractors they come to your house we had to learn a very tough lesson.

Service technician was great. Fixed my ice maker no problem. He told me the fridge needed a new filter but it had been discontinued. Well I got home looked at the filter, typed it into Amazon and 3 were delivered within 2 days. It was not discontinued.

Paul and team are top notch at solving complex problems and doing so with clear communication and empathetic care along the way.We had an issue with our A/C that caused it to stop working over the weekend (of course). Paul was hyper responsive and worked with us to get on site quickly to diagnose the problem. He was very adept at identifying a unique challenge that could have taken someone much more time to identify.We did have to schedule a follow up to handle the repair due to the needs. But again Paul was super aggressive to get us scheduled very quickly and get the issue addressed. Our problem ended up being a combination of HVAC and plumbing (drain line integrated with master sink), and the breadth and depth of expertise were key to getting to success efficiently.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, my refrigerator decided to go on the fritz. Most repair shops were closed for the long weekend, but Paul was out within a day to stabilize the refrigerator, and order parts. Within another 48 hours, he was back to complete the repair. When my compressor gave out I started collecting quotes from different companies. Not only did Paul reach out immediately, he gave me straight answers and options. A great experience with Patriot. First time using the company and didn’t know what to expect. I live out of state and rely on techs to handle everything and Paul and his company took charge. I have a stackable washer located in a space that requires the door hinges be removed for access. He didn’t miss a beat when I told Paul of this extra exercise. They stayed in contact throughout and have a good understanding of communication through text which makes the process very easy. The cost of repair was a bit higher than I was expecting but it was well worth it in the end.

Patriot answered the phone quickly and was able to send Paul out the same day. He immediately diagnosed the problem with our dryer and was very up front about the cost of the repair. He ordered the part on Friday and was back Tuesday to install. Could not be happier with the level of service. We will call on Paul and Patriot again.

My 20-year-old oven needed a part -- a control board -- that was no longer available. Patriot removed the board from my oven, took it to a local business that repaired it, retrieved it when it was done, and returned to my home to reinstall it. Their price was very reasonable, and the oven works great once again. Best of all, they kept in touch with me by text every day, keeping me informed of the status of the repair and working with me to schedule the reinstallation of the board at my convenience. Everyone was super nice throughout the process. This is my new go-to company for appliance repair. They will take on jobs that other companies wont touch; they seem to be very knowledgeable; and they truly care about doing a good job and satisfying customers.
