I needed to get some implants. I wasnt told I had Exhausted all of my benefits Until they had removed all my top teeth. Then I was informed they do dentures & not implants. Im a professional and I dont feel comfortable talking to anyone without a mask because of Dr. Jackson miss information.

Shine Dental Care has great customer service. For my first appointment I got my exam and cleaning. My teeth felt great afterwards!! I was told the treatment plan that was best for me and they made sure I understood before I agreed to anything. I will be going again!!!

I am very impressed with the kind services rendered. When I walked into the office, the clerk and Dr. Jackson was excellent. The clerk did her job explaining her duties as well as the dentist. Dr. Jackson gave me my treatment plan along with my responsibilities. Yes, Im very fearful of the dentist but, I felt very comfortable and I feel that Im definitely in good hands and care.God bless this business.

I dont normally post reviews, I am the one reading them, but I had to post this one. Shine Dental was recommended to me by my daughter. Today was my first visit. I stepped into a clean office, the noise level was good. The young lady ( Ms. Kamesha ) at the front desk displayed good customer service. My wait time was not long at all. The Dental hygienist that took care of me, Ms. Stephanie, was very efficient and knew what she was doing. She explained every thing she was going to do, making me feel at ease. My teeth are very sensitive, but Ms. Stephanie took her time with me. I did not feel rushed as you usually do sometimes when you go to some Dentists. That is the main reason I changed Dentist. I appreciate the outstanding service today. Dont change a thing.

My family just left Shine Dental Care and I would deffinatly recommend to anyone with kids looking for a new dentist.We were able to get an appointment very quickly and the staff was amazing! The receptionist remembered the conversation we had which meant a lot to me.This was the first visit to a grown up dentist my 7 year old had. She loved her pediatric dentist but because of our insurance she could no longer go to him.My daughter was nervous before even waking through the door and the dental hygienist was just amazing with her! The doctor was also amazing and very good at quickly pulling a stacked baby tooth. I have to apologize for making her the bad guy and asking her to pull it visit one.The doctor pointed out a problem tooth and recommended an orthodontist, both problem areas we were anticipating. I have a real fear of the dentist and can always spot someone taking advantage. This office is professional and honest, a place you can trust. I will be making my own appointment soon!

I am in search of a new Dentist in my area and wanted to support Black Owned Businesses. I contacted this office on July 10th during the AM and received their answering service. I informed the young lady I was trying to schedule an appointment for routine dental cleaning, she took my information and stated she would pass it along and also recommended I complete the form online indicating the type of services needed. Today is July 22nd no one from this office has reached out to me. I called again this morning and received the ansering service, it is bad business practices not to return calls or communicate with an individual wanting services, therfore I am moving along. SMH

Dr. Jackson is the dentist youve been looking for! My experiences with dentistry in the past have been less than pleasant, all of that changed when I came to Shine Dental! Dr.Jackson is kind, gentle, and uber patient. Her staff is a also top notch! Ben helps make my visit as comfy as possible and Diamond answers every single question I have. As long as Dr. Jackson is in practice, Ill go to her for my oral health needs!!

I think Ive found my new dentist, and I hate going to the dentist. Not only is the staff polite and friendly.... theyre knowledgeable. It honestly has me excited about getting my dental health on track

I cannot believe this dental office has received as many good reviews as they have. These people would have to be either relatives or paid to write these reviews. It took me a few weeks after my appointment to write this review, I had to wrap my mind around what I had just experienced and confirm with another dentist. I try to support Black businesses and not bash them... But this dentist, specifically, the dentist is awful. I totally agree with what some of the other reviewers stated about her lying about work that would need to be done after the exam. I dont know what this ladies problem is, but I would NEVER refer anyone that I know personally to this office. The dentist was rude, rough and in my opinion inconsiderate. She began my exam over an hour after my appointment time, which was already a problem, because I have a major fear of the dentist. If you dont fear the dentist, then you wouldnt understand. Damn it you said at this particular time and my mind is ready at this particular time, not an hour or more later. Then to add insult to injury, shes rough? Once the exam was done, she pretty much tried to tell me that I would need about $4,000 worth of work.I go to the dentist every 6 months like clockwork, I floss, and I have my cleanings done regularly. Over the last 30+ years, Ive had a few cavities, I go to the dentist, in order for me to not have any major issues.Because I have a fear of the dentist! Ive never in my life experienced a tooth ache. If you ask me, shes a fraud and running a scam if she thinks she can. I removed myself from that exam chair, proceeded to the front desk, ask for and paid for my x-rays and whatever other file they had created for me, then made them aware that I would not be returning. Shes crazy! This is one of the reasons I, as well as, others wont support some, not all, Black businesses. Lack of customer service skills, fraudulent activity etc. I scheduled an appointment with another dentist and yes, I had one cavity that cost me all of $36 to have filled. Then, the audacity to be charging my insurance company above average fees for garbage service.Thank you for your time, but no thank you!

Dr. Jackson is awesome. My first appointment was on a Friday close to the end-of-business and Dr. Jackson took the time to patiently explain my options concerning some cosmetic procedures. I never felt rushed. Dr. Jackson is very knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest technology. Dr. Jackson completed the cosmetic procedures and I could not be happier with my smile. The office staff is also very polite and professional. I highly recommend her services.

My experience here was beyond exceptional. Dr. Jackson exceeded all expectations as she was very gentle and thorough. I have been to other offices where you are thrown in the chair and all they care about is your money and how much work they can do and bill your insurance for in one day. I now enjoy the luxury of private practice with a dentist who really cares about my dental health. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I left with a clear understanding of my treatment plan and felt good about scheduling my next appointment.

The only reason I went to this business is because Dr. Jackson is African American and I wanted to support her. When I got there they gave me a x-ray. After that the dental assistant came in and looked at my teeth. Then Dr. Jackson came in and looked at my teeth. Dr. Jackson then told me I had 6 cavities. I automatically knew she was lying. She then told me I needed to get the deep teeth cleaning because my gums were bad. She then asked if I wanted to get my teeth whiting. I asked her will I get my free teeth cleaning and she said no because I would have to get the 6 cavities she told me I had filled first. I asked how much was it and they showed me a bill of about $2,000. At that point I said Ill have to come back. Then she said I can get half of the cavities filled now and half filled later. I still said no. Then they tried to talk me into getting some rip off credit card they sale so I can put my dental bill on it. I said no and left. About three weeks later I had another appointment at a different dentist office. When the new dentist checked out my teeth they told me I didnt have any cavities and I didnt need the deep tooth cleaning. I told them that Dr. Jackson said I had 6 cavities and they told me they didnt find any cavities and they also showed me my x-rays for conformation.To any body out there if a dentist tells you, you have a unusual amount of cavities or some crazy procedure you need to get done, just go get a second or third opinion. It will save you a lot of money. I also wonder were they just going to drill 6 holes in my teeth and fill them. Stop ripping us hard working folks off.

Ive been in to see Dr. Jackson and the Shine Dental Care staff about four times now and they have always been the same: professional, cordial, thorough, and caring. Im a chicken who hates going to the dentist but the doctor and staff always make sure Im comfortable. Dr. Jackson cares about you and the health of your teeth and guns. Jessica, at the front desk, knows all patients by name. Each visit has been a great experience.

Buyer Beware! I recently moved to Cedar Hill so looked for a new dentist. Shine Dental has great reviews, so I tried them out, and was completely shocked!To start with, the tech who did my X-rays was not trained well at all, and was much more interested in watching the TV than preforming her job efficiently. But, I could have overlooked this, had it not been for the results of my examine by the dentist.I was told I had one new cavity and that one of my existing cavities needed to have the filling taken out, my tooth drilled some more and replaced. I was also told I had significant bone loss and needed a deep cleaning. I mentioned that this didnt sound right, as I had gotten stellar reviews from my previous dentist in Fort Worth, whom Id seen regularly. I was told Perhaps you arent brushing and flossing correctly.What?? As if it takes great skill to brush and floss?!Out of my own pocket, and driving an hour each way, I went back to my old dentist in Ft Worth for another checkup and cleaning. I told them what Shine Dental had said. They checked my teeth over for cavities and found none! They said my existing filling was just fine! They said I had no bone loss and only needed a normal cleaning!Perhaps I just had the bad luck of going to Shine Dental when they had a lot of bills piling up. Regardless, I will not go there again, and will strongly recommend anyone else to stay clear unless you enjoy needless dental work.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! This facilities front desk staff is not informative when it comes to their practices and up front fees. The young lady in the twist braids still needs more training and should be shadowed for everything she does and says and doesnt say!!! At the time of confirmation of visit nor appointment was I made aware the amount I was paying was not going towards cleanings, but towards Dr. Jackson exam and x-rays. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INQUIRE BEFORE SCHEDULING, MUST DENTIST OFFICES INCLUDE THIS IN THE SERVICE OF CLEANING!!!! Needless to say, my family did not get cleanings and she did not have time to fit other services in today. I should have also been made aware that would be a possibility if needed at time of confirmation of visit. Im dissatisfied in the lack of explanation I was given from the front staff and when I confronted both staff members about it, they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language.. I requested my x-rays emailed to me and the staff said they would do it on Monday because they were about to go home, there was still 20 minutes left before closing time, x-ray transfers are $25. I normally go to Modern Family Dental in Cedar Hill, right down the road. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! Modern Family Dental is very informative and knowledgeable of their practices. Plus x-rays and exams are included in visit. I tried to do something different because its easier for my Husband to go on the weekend. Easier is not always Better....

They dont even deserve one star, very rude, unorganized and apparently dont listen to their patients. My issue wasnt even solved, I went there for a wisdom tooth and came out just knowing more issues about my teeth and my issue is still not solved . They are over priced, they only care about your money and they make it very known. Ladys at the first desk argue with each other the whole 3hrs I was there . Not to mention they gave me the wrong paper work, unorganized and need more training . Mrs Jackson doesnt care for the patients. Wouldnt answer any of my question till next visit . So I knew she didnt care. All she did was bash my teeth and tell me how horrible they are . Ive never had someone talk so ugly to me about my teeth, like the way she did .I just dont understand why they didnt tell me over the phone when I called that they wouldnt be able to take out my wisdom teeth instead they just did all these other exams and did the complete opposite of what I wanted them to do. Just a waste of time and money . I Will not be returning again .Not only that I called today 10/18/16 and asked for my screenings and she told me I will have to pay another $25 and to sign a form which I have to go in waste money and time again . Even after everything I been through DIAMOND the receptionist told me its DOESNT MATTER I NEED TO PAY AND THATS THEIR POLICY AND THATS WHAT MRS. JACKSON TOLD HER TO SAY. Dr. Jackson was very great with telling me the treatment I needed while explaining throughly what it was. She took her time answering my questions and understood my concerns.My last dentist did a filling on a tooth that stayed sensitive for about 3 weeks. Dr. Jackson did a filling on the same tooth, and I havent had any pain or sensitivity.Also, my son sees Dr. Jackson, and he loves her. It was his first time. After hearing horror stories from friends about their childrens doctors, I was apprehensive. She made him comfortable and told him everything she was doing so he knew what to expect.The staff is friendly and the office is nicxe. I plan on going back with my son and refering my friends and family.
