I want to make mention of the outstanding service and experience that I received from Sales and Service Supervisor Sophia Del Bianco with my transition in moving out of Avalon at The Meadows for a job transfer (or I would never leave!).I’ve been a resident of the apartment community since it was constructed (almost 3 yrs or so). Mostly I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Sophia regarding any issues; however, minor with my apartment or account and each time I have experienced from Sophia nothing but the utmost professionalism, attentiveness and pleasant demeanor to my concerns. Sophia has handled any issues I have had quickly, without hesitation and she has gone out of her way to help me. Sophia has helped make my experience living at Avalon at The Meadows a sincere pleasure. I will highly recommend this property not just for the amenities, but because of Sophia’s pleasant professional and helpful nature and that of the rest of the Avalon staff. In my 30+ yrs of apartment living and dealing with various apartment office staff, Sophia gets the top grade!! Outstanding person to represent the Avalon brand! Thank you Sophia!!
We have loved our time at Avalon Castle Rock at The Meadows. We have lived here for 2 years and everyone between the front office to the maintenance team has been amazing. Our neighbors have been a delight and understanding that we all live in an apartment community and respectful of each other. Sophia has been a great help while we look towards the future of moving out to a house and we would highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking.
Everyone at Avalon was extremely friendly & helpful throughout my time there. I worked with Dominique the most as she was the first person I spoke to about moving in. My leasing situation was a little more complex than usual and Dominique really took the time to talk through all of my options and made my move as stress free as possible! The apartment itself was also very nice & quite, & the grounds were well kept.
We have lived in Avalon for over two years and have really enjoyed it. Beautiful apartments, kind staff, great pool, dog park and more. My favorite part is that the individual garages are in the apartment building itself just like a house. We are sad to leave and the only reason we are leaving is because we are buying a house! If you are moving to Castle Rock, go look at Avalon apartments. (Right next to a hospital and fire station too.)
I had a scheduled appointment to view a two bedroom today after researching I saw that there wasnt anything available and canceled my appointment. I received an email from Maria and was taken back by the level of customer service she provided, even though I had a set date I needed to move she asked if I was flexible, when I told her I wasnt she recommended three other apartments in the area that had two bedrooms for when I was looking to move, and then asked if she could reach out in the next year! I know this didnt work for me, and I dont know anything about what they have but I highly recommend them just for their customer service.
Sophia, the Sales and Service Supervisor was very instrumental in helping my son and I move into Avalon Castle Rock at the Meadows. Sophia showed me the available apartments and gave me a tour of the complex. We selected the two-bedroom apartment on the Southwest side of the complex off of North Meadows Dr. Prior to moving in, the apartment was disinfected, sanitized, and the floors were well polished. In addition, the apartment has a lot of windows letting in sunshine, outside scenic views of the community, and nice skyscapes!Sophia is a very clear, concise, and strong communicator. I must say that Sophia is very caring and helpful! Furthermore, she really listens to your questions and concerns and tactfully helps you resolve them. Having lived in three homes previously I was accustomed to receiving mail directly delivered at my mailbox. Well, Sophia thoroughly explained to me how the mail is delivered in the hub and inside the mail center in front of the complex. I had a couple of encounters with receiving packages. Sophia helped me properly get my packages. The maintenance crew does a good job keeping the grounds manicured, salted, and cleaned regular basis. They are very cordial, respectful, and always greet me when passing. Frank was very professional, friendly, and efficient when responding to the work order of changing the filter and unclogging a bathroom sink. The only thing I do not like about the community is that people walking their dogs allow their dogs to urinate in the grass along N. Meadows Dr. instead on the mulch area. This creates brown urination patches in the lawn. I always walk on the sidewalk and not across the grass to get in my vehicle.Overall, I would definitely recommend living in the Avalon Castle Rock at the Meadows to family and friends!
My wife and I moved here about two years ago and we love it. It is a quiet area and easy access to trails and parks. The management and team members are amazing. When you drive by or you see them they always greet you with a smile. Whenever we had something happy in our apartment its fixed within 24hrs. The community manager is extremely understanding and you can tell she puts people and families first. To tell you the truth my family was hit hard during cover and we had to make some arrangements to get by. The conversation and communication with club management could not be better. They never made me feel pressured or that I wasnt being supported by them. My family and I are glad to call this place home. Also I have read a lot of reviews about IREA unfortunately with the apartments being all electric it is a little higher. But most people who have paid gas and electric bills know it comes out to be the same. I have had some one from IREA come to my apartment and do a reading and ensured me it is accurate.
A long-overdue thanks to Steve, Jeff, Adrian and Frank of Avalon’s Maintenance Dept. for their prompt, courteous and excellent service over the past year. We couldn’t ask for a better or nicer team. Thanks again! You all make our stay here that much better.
This place is a great place to live. I have not lived in apartments for a long time. My experience was not great. Here the place is really nice. The Avalon team try’s so very hard to make you happy and are so helpful. The townhome apartments are the nicest ones I looked at.
I have to give accolades to the maintenance team, and specifically Frank, who has gone over and above expectations when helping fix the issues I have had after moving in. He is friendly, polite, and professional, and I feel comfortable letting him into my home, even if I am not there. So while I hope not to have to call on him again, I am confident in his willingness and ability to resolve any future problems that may present themselves. Thanks Frank! Keep up the good work.
My experience has been very pleasant here. We havent had any issues with billing, our IREA is a bit higher but we understand thats because they dont offer gas here. The office staff is very friendly and the complex is well maintained and clean. The staff has really gone above and beyond with their events that they try and host. They had to cancel their carriage ride, which we were bummed about but they made it up by leaving a bag filled of treats at my front door, and then last week had a complimentary food truck. This is the only place I have lived where I feel valued.
Ive never seen such a friendly and welcoming apartment complex. Im not the one to leave reviews, but I have to go out of my way for this community. In the end Maria went out of her way to make a life transition so easy and my moms apartment feel like home. On top of that they helped a resident find their missing cat! Theyve had some changes in management, and I love all of them. Even just walking into the office, they are always so happy and thrilled to help! My mom loved it here!
I wanted to start off by saying while living here everyone was amazing! We had a really bad run in at our first apartment complex with flooding and negligence on their part so we ending up breaking our lease and moving here to Avalon. Initially there was a different management team whom were also amazing, but the Avalon team was literally amazing in every aspect with us. The location is great, the maintenance team was knowledgeable about all work needing to be done, and were prompt on ensuring the grounds were clean and well kept. During our first three months there we had extremely loud neighbors above us, and my light fixtures kept coming out of our ceiling so we reported it to the main office. The office staff was amazing and reacted promptly ensuring we were comfortable in our home, they even offered to move us to a different one bed apartment to ensure that we were comfortable. I highly recommend this complex, working with their staff was always a breeze, they were amazing. The manager in the office, she is AMAZING. Very interested in getting to know her residence and making sure they were all taken care of. All of the front desk personnel were resourceful, dedicated and ensured that we were always taken care of . Thank you Avalon Castle Rock for making our first year and time living on our own comfortable.Morgan & Blake
Avalon Castle Rock at the Meadows has been the best luxury apartment we have ever been part of. The location, staff and amenities are the gold standard. We would recommend this community to anyone and everyone. Sophia, Jeff and the rest of the team have been a blessing to work with and I am sure that we are not the only residents that would say that. Thank you for the great service and beautiful community to live in.
I had the luxury of carefully researching where to live in Castle Rock before I moved. I compared amenities, costs, reputations and more subjective aspects (by touring many properties). Im a bit of a nerd and there MAY have been spreadsheets involved. My decision to move to The Avalon was carefully made and I have been completely delighted with that decision.--My apartment is almost brand new and everything about it (9 ceilings, gorgeous cabinetry, perfect condition of walls and floors, plumbing fixtures, door hardware, appliances) is high quality and well maintained.—The price is extremely competitive in Castle Rock’s market. Some similarly priced apartments I saw looked like sad motels compared to The Avalon, especially when you factor in an attached 10’ x 30’ garage included in the rental price.—The quality of construction is head and shoulders above the other properties I toured. For example, all of the shelves are solid wood, including the built-ins in my bedroom. The other properties have wire shelving in pantries and closets and it’s just not as classy looking or durable as solid wood.--The leasing office (especially given COVID restrictions) was easy to reach and very cooperative in answering my endless questions before I even toured the property. Now when I contact them (Sophia, Maria and Trevor), they are actually happy to hear from me and to be of assistance.—The online resident portal is efficient and easy to use for everything from paying rent to making maintenance requests to reserving times in the gym and spa. The Avalon is a national corporation and it shows in the quality of the experience they deliver to tenants.—Now, let’s talk about maintenance, which can sometimes be the downfall of an otherwise good rental experience. The maintenance crew at The Avalon Castle Rock (Adrian, Jeff, Steve and Frank) are simply amazing. Why? They’re eager to help, respond immediately and bend over backward to make me feel like a valued customer and neighbor (several of them live here). Even a special request --taking the door of my apartment off to facilitate moving in a large couch — was cheerfully and promptly accommodated by Jeff and Steve (no gratuity accepted). Adrian walked me through how to best manage my vents and thermostat (he even did all the work) to keep my electric heating bill as low as possible. Frank patiently showed up a couple of times because my “problem” was cluelessness about how work an appliance, then he offered to help me program my garage remote code into my car. Everything I noted in my move-in inspection (a screen missing, schmutz on the wall of my balcony) was fixed perfectly within 24 hours. Frank even painted the wall of my balcony (without being asked) in order to eliminate said schmutz. I could not feel safer or better taken care of because of the attitudes and professionalism of this wonderful maintenance crew. AND they are always masked and very careful about distancing.—I receive something almost every day from Amazon and the Amazon Hub lockers to secure packages are brilliant. (I’ve seen other complexes with dozens of Amazon boxes piled up next to the mailboxes.)I could actually go on for days about how much I love this apartment and this community. Everything is sparkling clean and well-maintained. Exceptions to policies, within reason, are taken into consideration. Given the amenities, customer service and quality of the apartments, The Avalon is an incredible bargain in the Castle Rock rental market (which is insane).
I have had nothing short of a positive experience at Avalon Castle Rock. The office team is very friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy and also informed of company policies that will be important later. The property is always clean. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great value in the Castle Rock area
I am truly saddened to be leaving this community, but with the grandchildren, we simply needed more space. I have only good things to say about the team here at Avalon. Sophia has always greeted me with a friendly smile and helped me solve any questions that I have had. She always makes me feel welcome and appreciated as a tenant. Allen is equally welcoming and friendly. Any repairs that have been needed were quickly and efficiently taken care of by Jeff with a nice smile and friendly way. The community is clean and I have always felt safe and secure here. Be sure to check Avalon at Castle Rock out if you are looking to make a move. Plus, they have fun parties for the residents! I appreciate you and shall miss this community and team.
I’ve lived hear for nearly 3 years, but our most recent management team has been just what the doctor ordered. They have superb professionalism, communication and wonderful attention to detail. Before Covid hit we had community activities and occasional treats in the club house. At Christmas time we even had Santa and a horse drawn carriage. The staff is friendly and courteous! I love it here!!!
Absolutely regret signing a lease here. Some companies are going above and beyond with covid, and others like Avalon management and maintenance are using it as an excuse not to do their job. These apartments are all electric apartments, so my husband and I prepared to have a higher electricity bill since we dont have a gas bill. What we did not expect was a bill that will be over $200 monthly just for electricity in a one bedroom apartment. We keep our thermostat set to 60 degrees in the evenings and 64 degrees during the day if we are home, otherwise it stays at that 60 degrees. What we were unaware of is that before we moved in either the prior residents or the maintenance team set our thermostat to a customizable setting that would have our thermostat automatically default back to those pre set settings of 66 degrees- why this is a problem is because I would set my thermostat to the settings I would prefer of 60 degrees during the day if Im not home, or 64 degrees if I am, but wouldnt hit the hold button on my thermostat because I was unaware that it was turned to these settings since I never had a walk through or any type of move in explanation of this thermostat. So I would get ready to leave for the day and set the thermostat to 60 degrees, then while Im gone it would automatically change to 66 degrees, and then heat the house like that. Well when I received my first bill from my electric company I did an energy audit over the phone to see what could be going on, as well as call the office to see what could be happening since I got a bill of $125 for 13 days of living at my apartment. When speaking with Sophia at the office she never once asked me to check the thermostat settings even though she knew that there was a possibility that my thermostat had been set to default settings by prior residents or maintenance. My electric company informed me that these apartments are notorious for having higher than normal electric bills due to the high powered furnaces they put in each apartment that are 7500 watt furnaces and 10,000 watt water heaters. Sophia even informed me that when she was a resident here she would consistently have a very high electric bill, but never looked into it. Well Im a stay at home mom and my husband is the only one working, we dont really have the luxury of just not looking into it. After having multiple conversations with Sophia at the office, phone conversations with my electric company, maintenance finally was sent out to at least make sure the furnace was functioning properly, and my electric company coming out to do a meter reading to make sure it was reading properly- it was finally the electric company representative who informed me that I needed to check my thermostat settings and informed me of how to change them. The electric company representative also informed me that their management has had to reach out to Avalons management to try and be the liason for the angry residents because of how many people from these apartments call the electric company upset because they are encountering similar issues. So finally after a month and a half of me going in circles and Avalon management never taking the time to troubleshoot their own apartments, they asked me to submit my electric bills to see what they could do. Their solution was to offer a $50 credit, to which I told them that was not good enough since I did some rough math and if my furnace was running just 4 hours a day unnecessarily it cost me around $110 additional per month. Another issues was that our water heater was set to the hottest setting it could be set at, which is not only dangerous, but costing residents money unnecessarily again. Long story long these issues could have been completely avoided had maintenance done their job and made sure any settings previously set by prior residents were no longer put to those settings, or when I called Sophia the first time she could have walked me through how to check and set my thermostat settings like anyone who had acceptable customer service skills would do.
We needed some repairs due to some naughty pups, we spoke with the maintenance team and they made sure we where taken care of. Adrien, Jeff, and especially Steve have been so good to us and so helpful. Steve has been with us since the day we moved in and he has taken us under his wing, always with a smile and a kind word. Steve is always willing and able to help. He is very professional, does a great job, and loves our naughty pups no matter what!We love this complex and its staff! Moving across country is very difficult but having such great people here makes us feel like we are at home!~
Sophia Del Bianco was great! She was responsive and helpful. It was a pleasure dealing with her. The community is clean and the apartments are beautiful. Thanks Avalon Castle Rock!!Besides Sophia, I also had the pleasure of dealing with Adrian and Frank on the maintenance staff. They were friendly, attentive, and provided great customer service. Makes me feel good knowing that people like them work here.I just dealt with Jeff, Steve and Frank in the maintenance dept. They were great! Thanks Avalon!
An unbeatable location, beautiful apartments and friendly staff. If you are looking for one of the best apartments in Castle Rock, look no further than Avalon. The world is literally at your fingertips with this location, AND the manager goes above and beyond for this small community. We were surprised to find out all the events that they do monthly, and the last event they had game night for all the residents that attended. The staff truly wants to make you feel at home and valued!
The office staff are all very friendly, as well as the tenants, and its great having the garage and washer and dryer included. If I have an issue or a question I know I can send an e-mail to Maria or Allen and they respond within minutes!I fell like I am hard to please when it comes to my living situation and they have far exceeded my expectations! Overall - a great location in the heart of Castle Rock that provides good value.
The maintenance team and office team are great! Very friendly staff and they go above and beyond to get things done! Community events and the to go breakfast was great! Jeff and Steve from maintenance flagged me down when I was leaving for work Thursday and gave me a breakfast to go as part of the community appreciation event. Thanks You!
Every person of the staff is incredible. Everything is promptly taken care if there ever is a problem. The property is well taken care of and the apartments are spacious!
I recently stopped by and I wanted to give kudos to the manager, Maria, for being absolutely amazing and helpful!! While she didn’t have anything available that would work for my move in date next year; she went above and beyond to tell me about the property, and offered to show me around even after I told her the dates wouldn’t work. I never felt like I was bothering her or wasting her time. She was more than happy to answer any questions I had about Castle Rock and living in Colorado. Thank you so much, Maria!!
Castle Rock is a wonderful place to live. If you gauge your monthly payment to other areas, you are blessed. I still hold firm to my past review, my mom LOVES her apartment, safe, convenient to shopping (minutes away) friendly people to talk to. Count your blessings to live in CO and Castle Rock! Get over the knit picking! Love the ones your with!
I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Avalon. They truly care and want to help. Maria and Jeff in particular have always been incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend!!
Jeff does an outstanding job here...the grounds are very well kept. He goes beyond the call of duty. Keep up the good work...its appreciated...
Let me just say how Wonderful Tabitha and Vanessa are! They were very helpful with the move in process and helping me to find the right unit for me! The property is is great, I can not say enough about it! The layout is very nice and the amenities here are superb; the clubhouse, pool, hot tub, the future dog park. I could not be more excited that I moved in here at the beginning of the first units!
My husband and I decided to rent in the Meadows Luxury Apartment complex while we were looking for a house to buy. I loved living there and was honestly sad to move out once we closed on a house. Tabitha and Vanessa are great, and do everything they can to make your apartment experience the best. The location is amazing; very convenient and quiet. Our 2 bedroom apartment had a wonderful floor plan that included nice soaking tubs, large closets and plenty of storage. Another big plus for us was the 2 car garage. I highly recommend renting here!!
My wife, Children, and I moved in March 1st and absolutely love it here. Like any new build there are some issues, but they do a great job of getting it remedied quickly. Tabatha and Vanessa are just amazing!!! They are on top of things, respond quickly, and are always willing to help. If you’re looking for a great community to live in this is the place!!!
Thank you Jeff for the excellent service performed in our apartment! He was very fast and efficient. We enjoy living here!
My family and I recently decided to rent an apartment in the beautiful Meadows Luxury Apartment Complex. We have not been disappointed. The housing office; specifically, Tabatha and Vanessa have been extremely helpful through the signing process and everyday since our arrival. In addition, the service technician, John, has been prompt and professional. Despite the continued construction I would recommend this location to anyone looking for an affordable and elegant apartment.
We love living here! So close to Santa Fe Trail, shopping, and the movies! We have everything we need and more here! Having the garage has been a life saver and we cant believe such a big one is attached to our apartment, it makes storing winter gear and carrying up groceries ten times easier!
Great location, poor amenities. Pool is all year around, but its cold with lights out throughout the pool and clearly not temperature regulated. Jacuzzi is cold, no signs signifying any repair, just some broken construction tape and equipment lying around. At this point, I cant recommend.
Altered my review. Moved out about a month ago and paid for their cleaning service and carpet cleaning as well as replacement garage opener. Took my deposit plus another $97 or so. Now they are charging me $436 for some reason even though there was no severe damage to the unit and the maintenance team claimed that they needed to repaint the walls anyway as the original paint before Avalon took over management was apparently of poor quality. Only thing that made this apartment come anywhere close to worth the price is that they included a garage. Ill leave at two stars in respect to Jeff as he was pretty cool and I dont intend to update this review unless this new charge is resolved adequately. (edit) Just received an email regarding the increased charges and they are trying to claim additional damage was done to the apartment outside of wear and tear which is false and they are charging me for carpet replacement. This will be my last update and due to the amount of the charge I am considering looking into legal action. I advise against moving into this complex so long as Avalon is the management company.
I had to lease from another state and was very nervous. When I talked to the leasing staff I was happy they made everything so easy and even sent me videos so I would feel comfortable moving without seeing the complex. I am so excited to move in November.
Typical style of an out-of-town developer who rapidly develops poorly constructed apartments on a small lot, with higher end kitchen and bath fixtures to suck in people moving here. Poor drainage with ice spots.Tenants speed through all the time.
Jeff My Guy !!!! I appreciate the excellent and swift service! Always the guy to call whenever something goes wrong ! Jeff and the team are outstanding ! Terrific Service !
We all know living in an apartment complex can be challenging. We moved from the East Coast and we chose The Meadows because of the extremely responsive and friendly front office staff. No matter what question I called Caitlyn Burgoon about - she always was able to find me an answer. From how deep are the garages to what schools are zoned for the apartments - she had an answer. She ensured our transition to Castle Rock was seamless. We could have not found a better place to call home.
My best friend and I took a tour of the property a couple weeks ago and everything was beautiful! We worked with Goran but the other 2 ladies in the office helped us and they all gave us great service! Highly reccomend
1) The label luxury is a joke for anyone who is familiar with what luxury actually means. The only thing in the apartment that could be construed as luxury is the countertops. The windows all have difficulty closing fully. Paint is over-sprayed on everything; carpet, walls, flooring, thermostat, doorknobs, light fixtures. The thermostat is a basic stage 1 thermostat, with no ability to schedule. The appliances are all Kenmore, so you can imagine the bargain price they were purchased at from a company going under. The over wasnt broken in for us, not sure about the other apartments, so we had to deal with the lovely smell, smoke, and eye sting for a couple hours one day while trying to burn off all the chemicals.2) The property was just sold to another company. Things started to change quickly. Recycling is no longer the same nights as garbage, not as big a deal but just another thing to remember. I was originally told that I could install my washer and dryer in place of theirs, they just would no longer be servicing those appliances. New company says under no circumstance am I to install my own appliances (which are already installed, I only asked them about removing the old appliances from my garage). This was a major point for us when we decided to move here. So now I have to reinstall their top loading washer that loves to pull and tear at your clothes.3) Pest Control. Something you pay for in your rent, though they dont actually spend any money to do anything until you already have a problem. We found signs of a mouse in one of the vehicles, and droppings on the garage floor. The walls in the garage have a gap beneath them due to the slant of the concrete floor. Direct access for a mouse into the complex walls. $25 in black rubber toe kick would surround the whole garage and remedy that problem. We also found a hole in the pantry that a mouse had been working on to get from the walls inside our apartment. Reported it via the website and a guy comes is supposed to be out the next day, he doesnt show until the following day. He leaves me some traps and patches the hole, says hell be back in an hour to repaint the patch. He left poison traps. Kill the mouse, never find the body, but the cat or the dog does, they eat it and they die too! Such a pet friendly establishment. Then, not only does the guy not return in an hour, but he returns 5 days later, with no notice, so our cat was not caged.4) Speaking of no notice, I know someone mentioned this before, but an 8 hour window is ridiculous. I have to keep my animals caged all day long because you cant schedule maintenance? One day one of the workers uses a ladder to climb up onto our balcony. No warning, my girlfriend wakes up to get ready for work and theres a guy on the balcony with a clear view into the apartment.5) Clean up after your dog. They do a pretty decent job of having pet waste stations and bags scattered around the complex. Certain areas are absolutely covered with dog feces. And I have not seen nor heard of anything from the management about steps being taken to address those that are not cleaning up.6) Lastly, design. There was zero foresight into how the doors open. In the bathroom, the door being open prevents you from using the drawers on the vanity. In the kitchen, the fridge door opens into the laundry room door. So not only are you likely to dent the fridge but you also cant open the fridge door all the way, so you cant open the drawers. All in all, I would not recommend this complex to anyone, and as much as I hate moving, once I find another complex with no breed restrictions I will be trying to move. But the change of ownership and reneging on agreements that were made prior is absolutely ridiculous.
Staff are wonderful starting with the front office to the maintenance team
My Husband and I are planning on moving to Castlerock in March of this year. We had so many things to consider, including... where we were going to live. We visited many properties while we were there visiting. When we entered THE MEADOWS LUXURY apartments, we were blown away by the beauty of the property. We were greeted by Tabatha, who immediately made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. She was not only super informed on every aspect of the property, but about Casstlerock and Colorado itself. She took the time to discuss possible schools for our children, what the commutes to our new jobs would be like, and let us know about of the beautiful hidden gems that Colorado has to offer!!!! We definitely feel like we not only found an apartment and home, but like we found a community and a wonderful quality of life! We HIGHLY recommend this community!!!!!!!!!
Most of the positive reviews are from when the apartments were owned by a previous company. I will change this review if things improve. When I first moved into these apartments, I LOVED everything about living here! Beautiful apartments, the owners were super fun and treated residents like family, they took pride in their job and would drop everything to help their residents. Ever since they got new owners things have gone downhill. We no longer have 24 hour clubhouse access like we used to, the pool is shut down although it was supposed to be open year round (no big deal, but that was included in our rent. So I dont think we should have to pay as much when we dont get as many amenities that were promised when we signed a lease), the snow around the hot tub area is never shoveled, the gym bathrooms rarely have toilet paper, twice now we have received mail charging us more for utilities because they made a mistake with their original billing, we were supposed to have monthly parties thrown by the owners and that doesnt happen anymore. The old owners would throw parties that were catered and had a DJ. It was amazing living here and you felt a sense of community. It used to feel like luxury apartments and now it just seems like basic apartments with owners who drag their feet to make improvements or help residents in any way. Employees seem annoyed to be working here and treat the job as if it is just a paycheck to them. They wont go above and beyond on anything like the old owners/employees (Tabitha and Vanessa, they were fabulous and youll see compliments to them in other comments too.) consistently did. I wish we had the old owners and team backEDIT 2 MONTHS AFTER REVIEW: Nothing has improved. The office staff continue to tell residents that they are going to fill the pool, and it still hasnt happened. We have been told the pool will be filled for a month, and that the main office will be open 24/7 like it used to be, for at least 5 months. And neither have happened. The employees just tell you what they think you want to hear so they dont have to deal with you, when ultimately LYING IS WAY WORSE!!! Dont tell us you are going to fill the pool and then it never happens. Dont tell us youre waiting on bids for cameras to keep the business area open 24/7 when it has been 5 months of you using that same excuse. They really need to clean house and get new office employees. I would avoid moving in here ESPECIALLY for the price you have to pay.
The units are nice but their inspection policies are horrible. A three-day window in which you dont know when theyre coming is ridiculous, especially when they ask you to lock your pets in a room. So, do you take off work for three days or lock your pets in a room for three days. Its completely unacceptable. Is it too much to ask for a one-day window? Apparently it is for them.
I decided to move here simply because of the wonderful office staff. When I came to look at the property, I immediately felt at home. I just moved in and couldn’t be happier!
One of the worst places I have lived, but it wasnt always that way. Before the property was sold to Greystar the staff (Tabatha and Vanessa primarily) were awesome and the property was well maintained and kept up to standards. Unfortunately after Greystar come in things really fell apart. To start the new staff was extremely unresponsive and unhelpful at times, the clubhouse would randomly be closed at random times during the work week without any prior notice and emails would go unanswered for days. The pool was advertised as all-year round but soon after the acquisition the pool was drained and the most apartment complexes in Colorado dont offer a year round pool excuse was used. That excuse doesnt rectify the contractual promise made to pre-existing tenants. Having a year-round pool is a real perk and Im sure all tenants know thats is not a standard which is why in part they moved here. All tenants are required to pay the monthly fee ($25) for trash valet but rarely does the valet consistently pick up trash on the required days (Sun-Thur). The roads within the community were rarely plowed and certain spots in the shade of buildings would have constant ice buildup. The dog parks run out of waste bags at the end of nearly every work week and arent replaced to Monday the next week. The maintenance team seems to be kept at a skeleton staff at all times and unfortunately the tandem garages cant fit two SUVs in them. The change in service seems more like a Greystar culture thing based on looking at other Greystar property reviews. Im sure the lets do whatever to keep costs down and profits up mentality is used frequently and I could see under-staffing as an issue to a lot of these problems mentioned above. The only real prop Ill give to the Greystar staff was their service around Christmas time, the idea to provide gift wrapping materials and holiday food was a pretty creative idea and well executed. The buildings themselves are a real eye-catcher and beautifully built but other than that there are numerous better apartments options and better pricing in the Castle Rock area.
Horrible company!! they tried to charge you for new carpet when moving out even if it wasn’t bad.
Terrible! The new company is horrible. Valet trash is a joke. The pool was a year round pool, with the new company “ there is a leak”. This is after I asked why the pool was closed and they said it is a seasonal pool. Terrible front office service. Please bring back Roscoe!
The apartments are beautiful, and the customer service I received from the ladies in the office was phenomenal!
The Meadows Luxury Apartments have nice looking units- Probably the nicest looking units available in Castle Rock. The price is also proportionate in being the highest costing apartments in town. There are however, a few issues that massively subtract from the living experience here. The first issue is the trash valet. On the surface it sounds like a nice idea. You put your trash out front and someone comes and picks it up, saving you a trip to the dumpster. When I moved in, I went over the laundry list of rules for the trash valet. Trash must be out at certain times, be under a certain weight, cannot be over-sized (which is undefined), trash does not get picked up on Friday and Saturday ect. ect. If you want to bypass the trash valet, you can take your trash directly to the dumpster, but still have to pay a large $25 fee. There is no option to cancel your valet service. The service is confusing, frustrating, and should be optional.Update: The trash situation is still mind boggling. I feel so bad leaving the house in the morning and seeing all the trash bags at everyones doors that werent picked up the night before. I can think of much better ways to spend $25.Other amenities include a club house and a pool. The club house is not open past 5:00pm which is a strange rule. Ive lived in other apartments that had 24/7 club house access and it was never an issue. The pool is fine. Other, cheaper complexes in town have better pools with cabanas ect.Update 1: Cabanas are supposed to be added in September and the club house will change to 24hrs within two weeks of writing this review.Update 2: Its October and no cabanas were ever added. Also the jets in the hot tub dont work. Never have. The final and most important issue that I will point out is the internet availability in these apartments. CenturyLink and Comcast both deny that they provide any service here. I was never able to get CenturyLink to provide any service. There is a backwards way to get Comcast, by calling this guy named Mike and offering him three dead crows and a cursed journal from the basement of an old Church. Even then, the installation process is a nightmare. It took me two weeks to get internet because the apartments were not wired properly (claims Comcast). The 4th or 5th Comcast tech that came over told me that these apartments are notorious for not being wired correctly for internet and that its always an issue.Overall I think I probably made a mistake moving here. Time will tell. Im not saying you wont be happy here, but you should keep in mind that these are the most expensive apartments in town and are marketed as Luxury. Theyve got a long ways to go before they can live up to the price and the name.Three Month Update: There are so many frustrating things about this place, that I wont even bother going over everything. I do need to talk about their apartment inspections though. For an inspection you are given a window of time in which Roscoe Management can enter your apartment. The first notice I got was via email and explained that I should be prepared for a visit from September 13th - 14th, 9am - 5pm. Not a problem, so i accommodate and make sure that I am not sleeping during those times and that my apartment is ready for inspection. Nobody every shows up.A little over a week later some construction guys are spamming my doorbell while Im asleep (I sleep during the day and work at night). I get the door and they say they need to replace my mirrors because the ones I have are two small... wut. I had no 24hr notice and had no idea this was going down that day. Whatever, I let them in and they replace my mirrors and leave some nice big holes in my wall. Now today I find a notice on my door... another entry. It says Roscoe Management has found some items in my apartment that need addressing and have given me a four day window in which i can expect an entry for them to address these issues. The letter also notes that there is no option to schedule a specific time. Now thats luxury.
Best apartments in Castle Rock,. Hands down!!
Great location, nice apartments, and nice people up front. 👌
Unfortunately, I did not get the same great service that the other reviewers did.
Worse water pressure on earth; noisy with all the construction; no ethernet in the apartment;
Amazing staff !!!!! And beautiful apartments
