My tax preparer was Pageant, I have gone to her for many years. She has good customer skills. I have never been disappointed in the work she does.

The professional I worked with went above and beyond for me while doing my taxes. He went as far as reading into a different states laws on education credits and exemptions. Since I moved in the last year, changed jobs three times, and had a stock portfolio, my taxes were more difficult than average. With a cool head and confident reassurance, we got through them faster and more efficiently than I could have on my own.

The cost to file with H&R Block is too expensive, regardless the amount of your anticipated refund. The fact that you have to do a credit check to borrow money from yourself is ludicrous, I understand the bank is extending a loan to you but at that point its pretty much guaranteed and you have no say in whether or not you want to pay it back. So for those reasons I will be going elsewhere next year to file my taxes.

I simply go here because John Lewis works there, He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have full and complete trust in him. Never a single issue..........many, many years and never 1 single issue. I seriously doubt I could be handled better in any single way, regardless of cost, anywhere else.H&R block - you seriously should triple his pay, whatever it is............Not too many true professionals like Johnaround anymore.

I decided to try H&R Block this year in hopes my tax preparation fee would be less than the $300 that the tax accountant I have used for the past few years. H&R Block charged $71 more, minus $25 for a coupon I used. There was what I consider a fairly significant charge for having to deal with two Schedule K-1 forms I had. Those were very simple forms with very minor dollar amounts associated with the investments.

The quickness of the person that does it for us, she explains what she is doing. The cost of having it done by H&R Block is reasonable.

The bill at the end the end of my appointment was a bit much (over$250). I had three W-2s and a statement from the college I attend. Granted, I did have a $25 coupon however, I dont feel it put a dent in my final bill. I am a full-time student with a part time job. In 2017 I didnt make enough money to even file taxes. I worked my tail off last year ( all while juggling nursing school) to be able to file and get some money back. At this juncture in my life, I will research a tax prep service that will better serve my budget.

The prices for tax preparation are getting too high. I have been getting my taxes done for 18 years and this year was nearly 400$ I think it is getting out of hand for 40 minutes of paperwork.
