My mother and I came in to have two antique sewing machines looked at. We were greeted by this amazing lady, Jen Cameron. She’s just a lovely, energetic, and knowledgeable person. She introduced us to Aaron. Aaron was very helpful and honest. He quickly assessed the machines and explained everything to us.Jen showed me a few machines and Aaron talked to my mom about her sewing needs.Needless to say, after getting some great recommendations and being able to take the machines for a “test run” at the store. Mom and I went back the following week and both of us purchased a brand new machine! We met Jennifer Moon on the day we purchased the machines and she was very sweet and knowledgeable. She told mom to pull up a seat and showed her the main features of the machine she bought. We are very happy with our purchase and will definitely be coming back for all of our sewing and vinyl needs (Yes! They sell vinyl!!).Thank you again for the great experience!!

My sewing machine was not working. I called and they offered a few suggestions to try before I brought it in. It didn’t work so I brought it in the next day. It was a threading issue that they fixed and taught me about the machine and using it. Then said there was no charge! Excellent customer service. I highly recommend them and will be back if I need them!!!

I recently purchased a sewing machine from a second hand store. However, it was not working properly when I got it home.I called Capital Sew and Quilt and spoke to Kyle who was so pleasant and courterous to see if I could get my machine repaired at an affordable price. When I arrived at the store, I was so impressed by the variety of sewing machine and their capabilities. Jennifer who greeted at the entrance quickly began looking for the part that was needed for the repair. Then I met Aron, who is super nice and knowledgeable. My machine is old and dated. However, Aron made feel as if my sewing machine was as valuable as those displayed in the store. This made me feel so special and a valued customer.I would recommend this team to anyone. When I advance in my sewing skills, Capital Sew and Quilt will be the first sewing machine store I will visit to purchase a new unit. Thanks again & God Bless...

Aron and his team are second to none. Fantastic customer service, competitive pricing, and just a wonderful place to shop and browse. Theyve got the place looking so great now (product displays, new flooring, the soft purple lighting). Jennifer is always so helpful - anytime youve got a question about the machine you own or purchased from them, just reach out and theyll jump at the chance to help. They just treat people right, period. Check them out!

I stopped in while visiting my daughter. Recently I acquired a “new to me” Quattro 2. Aron and the entire team assisted me in picking out some additional accessories and provided some awesome hints about the machine. It didn’t matter that I live 600 miles away-they spent quality time answering my questions. They also advised me about a program that is running in April that I might like to attend. This is an amazing shop, and I encourage you to stop by and stay awhile.

I wish I could give 6 stars. The staff here are amazing. I had an issue with my Brother machine that I was unable to figure out on my own. The two women who helped me, I wish Id gotten their names, were both patient and knowledgeable. We finally figured out that the problem was due to excessive presser foot pressure for the fabric Im using. Unfortunately, my machine is a lower end model without ability to adjust this. The staff helped me find some smaller needles and a teflon coated presser foot to minimize friction. After getting back home and working on my project (a sleeping bag) this has greatly improved the puckering issue. With regards to their store, they have a great selection of machines that I looked on with envy. The location is somewhat out of my way, but Ill be back for parts and service. No reason to go anywhere else.

Capital Sew and Quilt is a great place, with PHENOMENAL customer service. In the last two weeks, I took a machine in for repair, bought a brand new machine, picked up my repaired machine, took the new machine back in for an issue - which was then replaced! - and each time, Aron, Kyle and Jennifer took great care of me. They are professional, patient, cheerful and knowledgeable....just the best!

Needed some urgent assistance today and Jennifer Moon went out of her way to help, and refused any additional remuneration. As it happened the owner, Charlie, was at the store as most of his employees are off for the holiday week. Said he has 49 years in the industry and it shows through in his technical knowledge and finer aspects of any machine he touches.

Aron was patient and takes time to understand the customers wants and needs. He is also eager to execute them to the best of his abilities in addition to educating the customer while doing so. The quality of work did not fall flat either; the combination of great customer service and the same quality of work deserves 5 out of 5 stars. Would definitely recommend!

I brought my ult 2002D in for repair only to find out that the part needed was no longer available. Aron was courteous and knowledgeable about all aspects of machines available and helped me find a gently used machine that was in my budget and would cover what i needed in a machine for both embroidery and sewing. The combination of integrity, product knowledge and honesty is hard to find today. You will find it here.

I went there today as I had a problem with my vacuum cleaner. Kyle helped me and quickly discovered there was a clog in the hose. I thought I cleared all if it, but he found the problem and fixed it within minutes. Great service, and very nice looking store with a large selection of sewing machines. I would definitely recommend Capital Sew and Quilt as my experience was excellent!!

I popped in to Capital Sew and Quilt to have my machine serviced. Aaron was incredibly helpful and actually showed me there was nothing wrong with my machine but it just needed a different part. They had the parts I needed in stock and I was out the door in about 15 minutes. On top of being speedy and friendly, he also helped me with a few questions I had (being new to my machine). I will for sure be going back if I have other needs. Great service and friendly staff!

In a time when customer service in most retail stores is lacking, Capital Sew and Quilt is taking it to a higher level. I sort of knew which sewing machine I wanted, but I still had some questions. With Aron’s help I ended up with a different (and totally amazing) machine which is much better suited for my needs. I went in the store an hour before they were scheduled to close on Christmas Eve thinking that would be enough time. When most people would understandably be rushing to wrap up the sale and leave, Aron was incredibly patient as I had lots of questions, and knowledgeable in answering all of them. And because he was so efficient, we finished the purchase right at closing time. I could not have been more pleased with my first shopping experience with Capital Sew!

Horrible! Went in with a friend to look at Brother and Juki machines. My friend had a budget of 2000.00. During the demo, the manager got up and walked away to talk to 2 people looking at a long arm machine. After 10 minutes of no communication, he goes and gets his brother to restart the demo. After having to start over with what features my friend needed in a machine, the brother started confusing my friend on how to program the machine. We decided to leave for lunch and to discuss the machines. Before we left we tried to purchase some thread and a new machine foot. After standing at the checkout for another 10 minutes, I had to ask someone to check us out. Love Brother machines, but will NEVER give Capital Sew and Vac my business again!

Being new to the sewing world, Aron was very patient with my multiple walkin until I was ready to buy my beautiful Juki Mini. He reassured me and reminded me to look around and if it felt-right the deal was still on the table. After I bought my juki, Jennifer spend a few days teaching me step by step how to string my serger and mini. She’s was extremely patient, even when I’ve called in over the phone and needed help. She spent the time answering all my questions about tensions and what not. Kyle! This guy fixed my broken clamp in half the time he quoted! Saved my life and my clients time. They have all been so wonderful that even if their string may be a couple cents more than Joanns, Id spend my money there because I truly love this store and supporting their business because they have taken the time to spend with me when I knew very little about their world. Because of them, I have been able to understand more about sewing and my now career and will always be a customer of theirs for as long as I live here.
