The staff here are dishonest and will try to fleece you for what you’re worth. They give customers different prices for the same service - there’s no sense of fairness or consistency here. My family members and I were charged completely different prices for the exact same car and service performed. That’s how I know they like to fleece customers - what they charged me vs my relatives was astronomically different, and when I called them afterwards they were shocked this was the same place. When I asked the staff to justify the high price, they could not give me a legitimate answer. I was also apparently charged for a warranty that I never knew about or agreed to - for a tire patch. Uhhh yeah doesn’t sound right. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for honest business where the staff care about building trust in their customers, not stripping it away to pocket someone’s hard earned money. I was really gutted because I was told good things about this place, and went here specifically for that reason, but was taken advantage of in the worst way. Gurkan, you lost a customer for life.

Gurkan has been my mechanic for over 20 years and has done excellent work, reasonably priced and always honest diagnosis.

Great Experience - My first medium size (timing belt replacement ) repair done at this shop and they were great. Did exactly what they said they would do, and found other issues they took care of at a very reasonable price. I always go there for my inspections, which they do very quickly, and Ill go back for anything else now as well.

Honest and friendly establishment. Ive had several jobs done with them and always been pleased. Squeezed me in for an oil change shortly before close on a Friday. Very courteous.

Paid to have a pre-purchase inspection done, as I was traveling from out of town to purchase a vehicle. Was given sketchy paperwork, but in all, was assured that the vehicle was in superior shape. Arrived, only to find out that the AC did not work, there were small parts missing from the interior, the paint wasnt as stellar as he told me, and there was a rip in the leather seating. I couldnt trust that anything under the hood was working correctly, as it became obvious that he was friends with the car lot owner, and therefore, incapable of remaining objective.

Quirky place. I stopped in to inquire about a car they had for sale. Gurkan and his staff seem full of life. I didnt buy the car but I would take my car there for inspections and simple repairs.

So happy to have discovered Gurkans! I needed to have my vehicle inspected and they were able to not only fit me in that day, but fit me in quickly! The owners are so ridiculously nice and fun to talk to. To be honest, I kind of wish the inspection took longer so I could stay and chat more. Learned that they have been in business for 41 years - with this type of service, its no wonder why.While Ill keep my fingers crossed that the next time that I need to go to Gurkans will be next year...likely the day my inspection is up...:-X Ill definitely have these guys as my go-to for any other mechanical issues. Ive been going to Gurkans for a few years now and they are ALWAYS friendly, helpful and professional. For users that comment about the appearance of the shop, you clearly must judge a book by its cover then. The shop may have an old appearance, but the work done is professional and quick. Most of the work Ive had done on my cars are completed same day and the price beats out everyone else that Ive found.

I have never, ever, in my entire life been given this kind of amazing service. I swear to you. Ive been screwed over by Johnson of Cary and other dealerships with a outrageous quote and I came here from a friends recommendation. I got a very reasonable quote and perfect job done. The owner and mechanics are honest folk. If you take your car anywhere else, Im telling you, you are losing out on excellent work on your car.I had my brakes done same day as bringing car in. They showed me the parts that they got, why they got it, how much it was, and showed me exactly the old parts that were worn and why. For real.I am terrified of getting screwed at car repair shops but this business now has my life long business.Edit: My wife and I came again each. This place is amazing. Honest honest work. Decent price. What else can you ask for?Edit 2: This is my 6th or 7th time coming. Not because of anything they did wrong. Just routine stuff for my car and my wifes car. Again as always: perfect job done for a fair price.

I did go there last week for yearly inspection, and I mentioned to them I do not have more than 1 hr for inspection, they were finished within 1 hr and txted me when finished, I like Gurken business and how they listen to customers.I go to Gurkans auto repair ever since I moved to cary 12 yrs ago. good service, friendly, I definitely go back to this location for inspection and selective auto repair.

I went yesterday for my inspection of my truck during my lunch and they got me in and out in under 10 minutes. Great place i will continue to go there friendly technician.

Before buying a used car at this business, have it thoroughly inspected by an independent, professional mechanic who is experienced with the make and model in question. A simple test drive and visual inspection is insufficient to reveal hidden electrical (or mechanical) issues.
