We have been taking our cars to Manfreds for many years. We had a 2002 Land Rover Freelander and a 2004 BMW 325xi and Manfreds was able to find problems the dealer either wasnt able to find or wanted outrageous fees to repair. Manfreds always kept us informed about the prognosis and what to expect in each case. They also recommended needed services to avoid future problems all at reasonable costs. We trust Manfreds so much that when we wanted to replace one of our vehicles, we bought a used vehicle from Manfreds knowing that it would be properly prepared and cared for in the future. Wed confidently recommend Manfreds for service and for purchasing a used vehicle.

Communication was great. They did a a very details analysis of where the coolant leaks were occurring, recommended a couple of items that should be considered due to the vehicle age and complexity to repair later, and completed the repairs in the time committed. The overall cost was inline with the original estimate and well less that than what the dealer would have charged. I will be going back if/when I need additional service.

Great independent repair shop for all types of Porsches. We have used them multiple times for our 911, Panamera and Cayenne. Especially good with check engine light diagnostics. Always keeps us up to speed on routine maintenance as well without breaking the bank. Loaner cars make it very convenient as well. Highly recommended!

BEWARE: this is not an honest shop, at least as far as pricing.I have used them before for small stuff, and had them quote a bigger job for me. They came back with a quote using brand (dealer) parts prices. Now, note that as with several boutique brand cars today, this particular OEM part is actually available directly from the part suppler for ONE FIFTH the quoted price, and can be found with a simple internet search. I am NOT talking about a junk knock-off China part, that takes three weeks to arrive. I am talking about the 100% exact, brand new, Made-In-Germany OEM part available from big US suppliers. Basically, they either didnt know (I doubt it, its their business to know), or thought theyd clear a cool ~$1300 simply ordering the parts from a different place.In addition, they quoted various seals and gasket replacements that are not needed when replacing the parts, because the OEM parts come with all the needed seals and gaskets. Would they have refunded me when they ordered the extra parts and found out they didnt need it? I didnt stick around to see.So whats the point? If I wanted to pay dealer prices for parts, Id just go to the dealer and not an indie. I guess they just take advantage of people who dont know any better and just want it fixed and accept it because its an import luxury car. I also expect anyone to take a margin on parts, but a 500% margin isnt a margin, its a ripoff. Personally, Id expect an indie shop to know better and work with this kind of information in my favor.

Highly recommend! I started going here a few months ago after a very expensive, stressful and inappropriate service at a dealership. I found Manfred’s - to be exact Mauricio, Alex and Kevin to be very skilled, knowledgeable, caring mechanical professionals. I feel like they work on my car as if it is their own !.

After visiting the nearby VW dealer I consulted Mauricio and Manfreds Cary location on the repair estimate from the dealer for a leak in my 2015 VW GTIs windshield washer lines he was patient and gave good advice that it appeared the estimate could be high. When I came in for my appointment, Mauricio was both professional and personable. It turns out the dealer both over estimated the repair time necessary and failed to do a thorough diagnosis of the problem and had me purchase several parts that were not necessary for the repair. Turns out the broken part was not even ordered. My bad for not recognizing how bad dealers are at doing a proper job and caring enough. Alex, Mauricio and the experts at Manfreds have won me as a customer. I even got consultation from Alex on the purchase of my next German car. I highly recommend them as reliable and easy to work with.

Alex and Brian are great guys and when it comes to imports, Manfreds knows how to take care of you. I have brought my Volkswagen and my BMW there, and they never overcharge me. When needed, I am able to schedule for a loaner car. They are true blue and know the value of repeat customers. My boss used to bring his Mercedes here years ago in the 1980s, so Manfreds reputation has been long-lived and solid. I highly recommend this place.

The mechanics are thorough and always spell out exactly what will be done to your vehicle before they do any service. Small business but excellent quality. Love how well and often they communicate to the customer. I absolutely loved Paul, his manners and approach is spot on and what so many mechanics lack. Manfreds is THE premier spot for all European imports.

I purchased a used BMW from Alex and they serviced it exclusively for the 3 years that I owned it. They treated me right and fixed mechanical issues that came up promptly. I don’t know why the rating are THAT high here. For the $$$ you spend here, the service should be EXCEPTIONAL, and it’s just ok. I KNEW already what the problem was with my convertible 645ci from the start and even explained the entire problem to Alex the owner.It WAS a simple fix (comparatively to the maintenance on this car) and I’ve actually fixed this same problem in the past. Long story short, Alex was NOT negotiable in the least bit. He told me he was going to “extra” things like reset some sensors and pending alarms, they didn’t do ANY of that, as a matter of fact, the day after I got my Beemer back I immediately encountered a “service engine light” which means he didn’t even check the oil. This is the 2nd time around with this same vehicle 645ci convert.and I KNOW there are lots of sensors, etc. and challenging to work on, and I’ve encountered almost every issue they have. Either way, I could have saved $200 plus w/o having Alex work on my vehicle. I realize that these are specialized vehicles, but he charges the SAME ASTRONOMICAL price that a dealer does, yet he did NOTHING out of the ordinary. Will never come here again. Waaaay to expensive, and nothing special.

Told me in 2016 that it would need a new computer so car sat for a year, Wife called in 2017 and they said they could program used one, Ahh ok.Did job well and when I called they said I needed 100 $ just to find my oil problem. ok Then I did ask when was informed the cost would possibly be High. I ask if they had any payments arrangements and was told no.Just not happy with they way they informed me that 100 bucks to look and that that money would not flow into repair.That is why only one star

This place is as top notch as it can get. Bare with me here, Id like to tell my entire story as my experience was that great. I found a relatively cheap Audi on craigslist and looked at it and decided I was going to buy it as long as it passed a pre-purchase inspection at a shop of my choice. Upon completing some research I chose Manfreds. When I told the seller this, he did not show up. He clearly knew something was wrong with the car and knew Manfreds wouldve found it. Since I was already at Manfreds I asked Alex (the shop owner) if he had any for sale in my price range. He didnt exactly have one in my range, but he came down on the price into my range and sold me a pretty nice early 2000s Audi A6. I drove it off the lot with satisfaction knowing Alex had my back. Unfortunately, about a week later the car overheated and I was broke down on the side of the Eisenhower. I called Alex up and he immediately directed me what to do to prevent further damage. I had the car towed to Manfreds where I had purchased it and left it there. Even though I bought the car in As-Is condition, Alex took care of me. He replaced the water pump as well as the timing belt free of charge. This is typically a $1500 repair. This is the true customer service that you can only get from a shop like this. I HIGHLY recommend Manfreds for all automotive repair, as well as import auto sales. For this reason I will be driving over an hour whenever the car needs serviced. Thats how good this shop is. A+++++
