I had contacted at least a dozen other dentists both local and in Reno, because of the extreme pain I was having from two lower molars. No one could get me in for weeks, and if they could, the cost for two extractions was totally out of my reach. Coincidentally, in my research for an affordable dental savings plan, I was referred to Courtesy Dental. In so doing, the well informed young lady whom I spoke with told me of their own dental plans structure and further that there was a cancellation for the afternoon. I was so nervous but also thrilled that my bad teeth may finally come out. Against all odds, Doctor Russell Curtis offered to extract the teeth.It was the end of their work day. The Doctor and his staff were very professional and kept me well informed of what was to be expected of the procedure every step of the way. I couldnt be more grateful, as it turned out to be a bit more difficult than first anticipated.Though I was a little bit of a scardy cat, Dr. Curtis continued the procedure with a calm, reassuring and professional demeanor. The doctors staff then made sure to explain exactly how to manage my aftercare and made sure I left with the necessary prescriptions to help ease my recovery.To top it off, with the generous in-house savings plan they offer to new patients, the fee I was charged for everything the doctor and his staff did.for me left me with tears of joy. I cried nearly all the way home. This morning, my pain is at a minimum because of the skill with which Doctor Curtis ensued during the procedure. I am not a big fan of going to the dentist; really, who is. I can only hope Courtesy Dental will accept me as one of their own, so I can try to repay them for making my husband a happy man once again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

GF took herself and her daughter there to get exams. The place was FILTHY! the chair was ripped with stuffing coming out, dirt was covering it as well. The sink in the room didnt work and there was white powdery residue in and around the sink and floor. When she asked to be moved to another room because of the lack of hygiene, they did move her, but the staff and Dr. Curtis became upset and mad about her pointing out the filth, damaged and dirty floor/chair/counters. She took a paper towel and wiped off the dirt that was on the chair to show him how dirty it was. She was then told to leave the building and told never to come back. The staff including Dr. Curtis were very rude and intimidating to both my GF and her daughter. Dr. Curtis stated he was refusing treatment because of her complaining of unclean facilities. He even got into her face demanding she leave immediately. She was able to take a few pics before being escorted out.

So A few of my kids have gotten braces here. The price was better then any place in town and it was mostly an issue of too much space between the teeth. Just recently my daughters front teeth started to become really crooked. She wears a nightly retainer but the wire on her permanent retainer had cone undone. They did tell us that the past orthodontist mind you that worked for this company at this location, had done a poor job on a few things and that the new orthodontist would do things differently but for a price of 3800 dollars. After just five years with nightly retainer wear I would expect more. I am sure it would have been just a couple month job to get those teeth as good as new but that was not an option. After talking to him at length I was advised that if the retainer is worn 24 hours a day then they may fix themselves but my feeling is that because she had puffy gums they should have followed her more closely afterwards and that her retainer was not properly fit. I had tried with my kids to do yearly checkups but not only do they never call you back they seemed to think there was no need . So I probably should have known exactly how it was to fit but I was just told that as long as it goes on fine and stays in during the night and that it did.Needless to say if we have to fix her teeth we will go with smile direct club as I feel like I could get the same results for a third the price. The new dentist is very kind but unfortunately he did not do the work so I can not comment on his workmanships just on the company as a whole

I took my daughter because her tooth hurt . They were going to send a prescription in to the pharmacy, but they didnt, I had to contact them the following week to get it to have them send it . When the girl answered she sounded like it was a inconvenience for her . So then Ive been waiting to get the appointment for a root conal its been almost 2 months 📞☎️📲📱 still waiting.

This place is horrible. Both the ladies that work up front need to be fired. They have very bad attitudes and make you feel like you are not welcomed there. When you talk to them they don’t even make eye contact with you or smile, instead look down and act like they’re to good to be talking to you. I have gotten eye rolls just for asking a basic question. It’s almost like your a problem for being there. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. Would not recommend and won’t be coming back here!The only reason they have 5 stars is because the ortho and general dentist asks you to put 5 stars and they will knock off some prices.Horrible experience for my first time and last!!

Best Dental Office EVER! Kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. They always greet me with a smile, and make sure all of my needs are met. Waiting area is comfortable and waiting time is short.Dr. Curtis gives the best painless injections, he truly cares about my husband and I. About 8 months ago my dog knocked my front tooth loose. It ended up having to be pulled. I think the staff was as devastated as I was. I am about 3 weeks away from getting my new front tooth! I was referred out for a dental implant. Dr Curtis will complete the process very soon.We are grateful we found such a caring, personable office.

I have called this office three times in 3 days requesting a call back to schedule appointments (we have full insurance) with NO response. We are new to the area and are seeking a regular dentist. Id love to edit this review to be much higher, but, they need to return my call so I can get in there. Will now begin looking for another dentist that is more responsive.

I love Courtesy Dental!! First I went to the Reno location, was able to get in at my convenience, never much of a wait time, and friendly staff. Next on to Carson City. Two of my grandkids and myself at 55 years of age? Braces!! Orthodontic staff amazing, love the doc!! Had my braces off yesterday after a year and a half, my teeth look amazing! I never imagined that I would have such a beautiful smile after hating my smile my entire life. Appointments were always convenient and easy to make. I completely recommend them - braces on a person of my age? Yeah I had some giggles, but Id do it again in a minute and have referred several friends. The office staff? ALWAYS friendly, not a place where you hear gossip about other workers, or patients, always professional, kind and accommodating. Thank you so much for my new beautiful smile, my grandsons and soon my granddaughter who will get hers off shortly as well .LOVE LOVE LOVE us some Courtesy Dental in Northern Nevada!!

Polite staff. Very professional. Even though Im going to lose 6 of my 12 bottom teeth due to the sepsis I had for quite some time due to Medicaid fraud in Texas. Dr. Curtis was up front with me and told me the truth and reality of what the situation was and for that I am greatful for the honesty he presented me with. Thank You Dr.Curtis.👍

Sorry to say I give up. Moved here 2013 and over the 6 years at Courtesy Ive had as many bad as good experiences which is not a good batting average. Outdated equipment and standards. Today was last straw. She wouldnt clean my teeth without me taking pre-meds yet she not anyone at office could show me that requirement. Both my doctors insist her demands were inappropriate, so two MDs over a dental tech win. Courtesy probably wont last much longer if they wont backup their demands or join the 21st century. They even scheduled my wife for an appointment on a Friday they were closed. Wow. And then never called to say reschedule. She had to go there and saw the closed sign. Called Monday to reschedule - No apology, nothing.

Went in for a checkup everything was fine said I needed a cleaning so they scheduled me for a cleaning so I take a day off of work to get my teeth cleaned and they tell me they cant clean them because my blood pressure is too high dont you think they should have told me during the check-up!! so I didnt take another day off of work for nothing. Not going back!

Dr. Mitchem is amazing and genuinely cares about his patients. My son came to Courtesy Dental after we were denied by other orthos for braces. He had severe crowding and courtesy was great getting him in and approved for braces in just a few weeks.Since then the treatment has been wonderful. My son was very scared to get the braces on at first, and Dr. Mitchem was so great and kind. He came in and talked to my son in a very uplifting, and encouraging way, almost like a big brother which was exactly the motivation my son needed. Do not go here! My first visit it smelled like pee. Im not sure why I even went back but unfortunately I did. I had a filling replaced a month ago & now I have TMJ pain, which I think is due to my teeth not lining up properly. The staff is very unprofessional & not very friendly either.So sad I went here & took my family here.

I had an emergency arise, an infection began in the middle of the night with one of my molars.The pain was excruciating. I walked into Courtesy Dental’s front office hoping I could be helped. I was immediately greeted by The Dr’s wonderful office staff. Within minutes, I was taken back, X-rayed, and Dr Russel Curtis was speaking with me about a plan to get me to begin feeling better ASAP.Dr Russel is calm, kind and compassionate, and his office staff is just as wonderful.From start to finish, my care was handled perfectly. I left making a further appt, deciding Dr Russel will be my dentist of choice to maintain my smile!Thank you to him and his entire staff. I highly recommend him to anyone of all ages for their primary dental needs. I look forward to many years to come!

Everytime I go they never listen to what I have to say and always hurt me the only time they listen is when I have my mother there with me. I was told i would be in braces for 2 years its been 4 and Im still in them.

Honestly not sure why theres so many bad reviews!! Place has NEVER smelled bad or been uncleanly the 7 years Ive been going here. They can get busy and that means they have to be short with you, but I have wonderful results with the root canal and and braces Ive done through them and feel fully informed when I do any procedures. Appoitments are always easy to schedule and I recieve convenient timing. The ladies in the front are always nice and proffessional. The orthodontist and dentist are great. Only wish they had more colors for the braces haha xD I will say they put off procedures that arent as important or needing to be soon because they are so busy. But, if you are in pain they see you fairly quickly. This all at least consistently has been true for me!! Definitely recommend
