Sad to say I’ve just about given up with defacs, I’ve been struggling to get in touch with my case worker for 4 months leaving messages and calling daily and had to start calling the main supervisor . I was told to get a whole pan flic of information to make sure I’m good with food stamps, and I would have them no later than a month from then. I provided that and was told it did get received . That was 3 months ago and I’ve yet to receive anything or so much as a call letting me know what’s going on . I’m very fustrated but still have hope someone will get in touch with me soon..

Currently 23 weeks pregnant been trying to get on medicaid for the the past 4 months now . ! I’ve tried calling can’t never get in touch with anyone ! And when I go up there they just want me to apply again !!!!!!!! 🤬😡

How is very impressed with the lady running the front desk she was kind considerate and took her time to explain things until another lady walked up took over basically was rude obnoxious and didnt obviously know what she was doing because by the time that I got mine appointment I came there with everything that I needed which II lady told me I didnt have and I did and she said she made copies things and she didnt really with it being Family and Childrens Services why wouldnt they want to help be kind considerate and patient I know that they do with people all day long but isnt that what their job is why is it that people take the privilege of having a job and think that its power to look down their noses at others and still not get their job done but yet complain that they have to deal with the public but they like that pay Id like to have her job search swap shoes for one day I bet you her first words would be no I dont think she could live in the world that we live in fat in all honesty she was looking for a job when she found that one and she keeps yelling shes going to be looking for another one some people need to change their attitudes and realize that the privilege of having that job would be somebody elses power to remove it its a sad day living in this world I hope 2020 changes things and makes it better

Great place. It takes a while most of the time but youll get to the window eventually. Everyone I have met that works here were dedicated to helping me out. I definitely recommend this place. God bless.

You can do lots of things yourself on the scanner or the computers. Typically theres a long wait time & you mostly only see the front desk staff for answers to all kinds of questions (theyre usually nice). Bring your paperwork to make things easier!

I was REALLY surprised at how quickly they got back to my sister about her benefits. She dropped her application off Thursday morning & someone called her that afternoon!!!!! She had benefits THE NEXT DAY! Thats what you call excellent service!! Whomever that woman is, she needs a raise cuz shes definitely on top of things!!!

Carroll County DFCS has a hard-working team that does the best they can. They are human too and have bad days like all of us but if you are polite and treat them with respect they will be professional, courteous and sometimes even smile! There a limits to what they can do to help and they have no control over the rules, policies and laws that define their job. Yes, they do make mistakes and arent always able to answer the phones due to the call volume. However, having interacted with many of the people here for more than 10 years I believe they consistently try to meet as many needs as possible. Remember that sometimes your need isnt the most urgent.

This is the best run DFACS Ive ever encountered. Workers leave supervisor contact information on their voicemails so that if you do not hear back from them in a timely fashion there is someone else to help you. Great accountability. Everyone that Ive ever encountered has been very friendly. As with all government agencies-- they arent always the fastest- but you cant really complain if you are receiving assistance. Just be grateful for what you do get because there are others who dont have the social services we do!!

Dont waste your time at this place. It doesnt matter what type of help you need or questions you have, not a single person in this building can help you; nor will they even attempt to. They all have the same answer- that is if you even get an answer- youll need to call the 1-877 number COMPLETE JOKE!!

Currently 30 weeks pregnantBeen trying to get Medicaid for well over a month. I go to the office and they ask me for proof I dont work at a place anymoreI tell them they are no longer in charge of the job and give them the new contract name because I worked for them as wellThey knew I worked at the company before. I tell the lady at the dfacs office that and she gets rude with me and tells me if I dont find the number they will close my case. THEY ARE NO LONGER A CONTRACT COMPANY!! THEY ALSO FAILED TO TELL ME MY CASE HADNT EVEN BEEN REVIEWED YET BECAUSE MY CASE WORKER WAS OUT FOR 3 DAYS THEN THEY PROCEED TO TELL ME MY CASEWORKER DOESNT EVEN WORK THERE!!! I am unable to deliver my daughter naturally and will have to have a csection and these ladies were incredibly rude so now Im 30 weeks pregnant trying to also get Medicaid for my 4 year old son! The woman closed the blind in my face and they were laughing behind it at me. Im at a loss on what I need to doI can guarentee you if I have to have a csection without Medicaid to help me pay for it I WILL NOT PAY A DIME🤷‍♀️ also they never answer the phone or call you back.

I hate how everyone complains about this place. Yeah theyre not chipper, and why would they be? If they was nice and laughed with everyone it would be even slower and some might think there was favoritism. So, they are stricked but professional. People if it wasnt for this place or the people then who would help you?? Overall very helpful and straight to the point staff, thank you.

I have recently visited here and was pleased at how well the office is ran. This is leaps and bounds from douglas county. I was seated and then helped all within thirty mins. The gentleman at the window was kinda and helpful. He was eager to help us solve the problem we are having. I will from this point on avoid douglas county and cont to visit Carrollton regarding any questions or needs.

I cant get through the customer service line because every time I call it has reached its maximum capacity of callers and then disconnects me. I tried calling the local office and left numerous voicemails to no avail. These people are awful with communication, but owe them some money, theyll contact you quick and in a hurry!

Terrible service. I waited an hour in the office and there was only two other people waiting. They weren’t calling anyone up and sent people away when they walked up to the counter. I have called everyday for a month and I get sent to voicemail every time and I still haven’t gotten a call back.

Very slow customer service. The workers here care very little about the people who are seeking assistance. If you plan on going, make sure you reserve 3-4 hours in your schedule.

Went up there and filled out an application for Medicaid, and actually got someone who worked there to help me with it . They ended up doing it wrong and 3 weeks later I called back up there because I hadnt heard anything from anyone about my application and they told me my application was done wrong so they couldnt accept it, and the person I talked to on the phone was very rude ! Then they told me i could edit my application and fix the problem when really I had to go in and complete the whole application again !
