At the risk of showing my age, when did Sport Clips decide to devalue and disrespect our time and why?I used to be able to walk in and someone would tell me how long my wait would be give or take 5-10 minutes. Currently I walk in 20 minutes after open on a Sunday. The employee behind the desk asked if I signed in online and I tell them I had not. Then, with only 3 other customers in the lobby (one being seated) and more than 3 stylists visible working, I’m told the wait is 2hrs. Oh, but it could be around 20ish minutes.What am I supposed to do with this information? I have my toddler in tow, and I don’t have even an hour to gamble to wait to maybe start my haircut. I ask if this is how it’s done now; do people walk in and wait 2hrs? I’m told I can sign in in-store and leave and return a little before 2 hrs. My toddler naps, and I cannot do this. I didn’t block 2+ hours for my 20min.-tops haircut. I’m then told by one of the stylists who overheard my questioning that some folks don’t show and the wait could cycle through quickly as they cross off names. This contradiction about broke my brain. I left out of frustration and the knowledge that the people working at this location most likely did not come up with this system.So what happens when I follow the desk employee’s suggestion and sign in and come back in two hours if what the stylist said was true? What am I supposed to do with this information? I could sign in, stay there, and potentially wait my max amount of time available before leaving without a cut because I have to tend to my toddler. Even if I didn’t have my toddler I could sign in, leave, come back in 2 hrs to find my name was already called and I’ll have to wait another non-decipherable estimate of time? How would signing in online be different?I am writing this review because I have experienced this twice over two weekends. The first instance was attempted around 2pm last Saturday. I was told the wait would be 1.5hrs. I didn’t have the time then and figured it was a busy time. So I made my second attempt as close to open today as I could, with the toddler. I will not be making another attempt at any location as I understand all of them would use this system and I value my time.If I do not understand the system properly by all means someone please explain. But I find it hard to swallow being told there’s a 1-2hr wait if it would really be 15-25 minutes. I don’t enjoy this “game”.

Haircut slightly below mediocre.Time saving measures are seen and felt.If a cut requires more clipper guards theyll use a comb saving cleaning time.They have tools to make proper fades but charge $10 extra if you request they use them. I came out with what I felt was a 2 day old chili bowl cut.

Checked in online for my 3 y/o son, arrived, waited 30 mins which was fine but then Van and MaKeita took us out of the queque and took 2 other guests. Clearly avoiding children! Btw, my son didn’t make a peep for 30 mins while waiting. When I questioned them they said my reservation automatically timed out and jumped to the more recent arrivals. They apologized and just said I’d have to wait again. Smh

Great Clips in the same strip mall offers better service and specials .

Great place! I’ve been going there for over 5 years and they’re always nice and cut my hair the way I want. I don’t go anywhere else.

The one time I went to get a haircut, due to my stylist being on vacation, the experience was nice and the guy was very personable. They washed my hair and did the whole hot towel thing, but when it went to the actual cutting of the hair it got weird. I have a light dirty blond hair that is very fine and abundant. He cut my widows peak and tried making a style that did not work for my hair at all. I had asked for just a trim to get the thickness under control. Quite a few people asked what happened to my hair, I just say that I went to sports clips and they said oh, that is why. The reason I wouldnt go back is due to the haircut only. This is a spa with an appeal for sport dads.

The staff here are always friendly and pay attention to what I ask them to do. This isnt a hundred-dollar haircut, and they dont pretend otherwise. However, if youre OK with that, then these kind people will do exactly what you want. I think the sports motif is a little overdone, but with a sense of humor. I go there about once a month and come away feeling that I got a decent haircut, certainly worth what I paid for it.

I tried to sign up for this place online but their check in service doesnt work. After 10 minutes of creating a profile and failing to be able to set an appointment, I figured it would be easier to call. I was immediately referred back to the website. I told the attendant the website wasnt working for me and asked them to help. They said sorry I cant. Then I said I will have to take my business elsewhere. They said OK then. Thank you call attendant from probably saving me from a terrible haircut.

Van - is the greatest! An incredible hair stylist where attention to detail, quality work is how she works.She most definitely is not a get em in, and get them out stylist. She will work her craft and you will be impressed.

Great haircut at reasonable prices. If you prefer a certain hairstylist you can request one. Made an appointment online and only waited a few minutes. I like the app! Sports Clips locations are following all the safety protocols.

The hairdresser didnt make much conversation which would be fine, but I was trying to talk a little since no sports were on. I got the MVP but the shampoo lasted around 20 seconds and the massage was very weak. Not quite worth the price, but its fairly cheap compared to most places.

Sue took awesome care of me. She had to take off over 7” in length and handled it perfectly! It looks great!The store was very clean, organized and obviously well managed. I was greater by all of the staff and they even mentioned they knew my Dad and Brother well. I can’t thank them enough for making my day!

I like getting my haircut here. It is close to home, always has sports playing, and has the products I use in my hair. The best part of going here is the service especially from Van. She does a great job on my hair and shes very friendly. I like the online check-in and love that they now have a mobile app I can use.

I have been going to this place for almost year now. Very nice place and great team. My hair stylist Linh P is awesome. She always greets you with a smile, listens to your needs and executes them perfectly. Very polite, hardworking and honest. I havent seen her upset about anything and she will take her time to give great hair cut till you are satisfied. I have moved now to Frisco but will continue to come down here for my hair cut.

The quality of haircuts here is great. The main issue is the incredible wait times. The stylist I have been using for several years now has a three hour wait every time I go to check in. I guess it just shows how good she is.

Today Christine was angry and took it out on my hair. You can get a much better service and hair cut at other places. I would come here for convenience of location but it’s always hit or miss on the “mood” of your hair stylist. Other times some of the ladies are talking bad about customers that just left or are coming in. Place needs a consistent experience, with professionalism and good old fashioned customer service.

I have to start off by saying that most of my visits to this location have been good, but my last visit left such a bad taste in my mouth that I went out and actually found myself a barber. I tend to go a while in-between haircuts, and I like to get my beard trimmed as well. Due to this Im typically in the chair longer than most. During my latest visit, while I was in the middle of getting my haircut, the stylist thought itd be a good idea to ask me: Have you ever thought of getting your hair cut and beard trimmed by a professional? I was absolutely floored. I thought thats exactly what I was doing. I know that places like this are quantity over quality to some extent,but you can at least make the person in the chair feel comfortable with spending their money there. Im not really in business of singling people out or anything, but I do think its important to mention to your stylists that it isnt a good look to make your clients think their hair is being done by an amatuer.

I have been coming here for a couple of years and do like the staff and prefer the haircut I receive over local competitors. I have to say though that I was recently disappointed when I went in for a haircut.This location recently upgraded their Point of Sale equipment which I am sure will be good in the long run however, the staff was not adequately trained in its initial use and caused an extra hour delay in getting a haircut as they tried to figure it out. If I was the owner I would have made sure that everyone was fully versed in its use.

Leslie is an amazing stylist who makes great style suggestions as well as great conversation. Highly recommend especially if you want numerous compliments on your new look. BBBY.

I’ve been getting my haircut here since I’ve moved to Carrollton a year ago, but I’ll be finding a different place to get a haircut. I put my name in the wait for a stylist online and showed up ahead of time, but when it came time for me to get my cut and the tv that has the wait line said on deck I got bumped out of line for no reason what so ever and was going to have to wait another 30 mins. When I asked why they just told me they don’t make appointments and the guy she cut his hair earlier just came back with his kid (which they walked in after I was already there). Overall the stylist do a good job but they do show some preference to their “regulars” even though I’ve been going there for the past year.

The haircuts are good but the online check in is all out of wack. The check in time will tell you one thing and then when you show up on time it’ll say you got another 30-45 minute wait. What’s the purpose of the online check in if it doesn’t work? And this has happen multiple times. My advice is to find a better place without the hassle. Very disappointed.

I have come here several times. I did an online check in, I arrive at the suggested time, it says Im next then it goes from next to 25 minutes wait... the hair cuts here are ok at best, so I dont think that Ill be returning

HOW HARD IS IT TO GET A DECENT FADE INTHIS TOWN? Went yesterday 4/24 bc I had a coupon that was expiring soon. I ask for a 3 on the side and to take a little off the top. I normally do a 2 and shorter on the top but didnt want to risk it. Unfortunately, I was risking it when I walked in. My bangs are finger lengh (reached my eyebrows before I sat down) the rest ranges from 2-3in in length. There is now fade what so ever. It goes from a 3 gaurd to 3in long hair on top much higher than needed or desired. Siccors over comb technique was used in random stops making the sides uneven.Pay more and go somewhere with an experienced barber. I would guess these are all new grads.

Cost effective, easy in and easy out...

One of the worst experiences ever had. The customer service is by far the worst i had ever seen. If you are trying to try something new hairstyle.. is not the palce to go. Because they refuse to cut your hair again if you want to shorten it more. They just refuse to do so even though there were no body waiting. They even refused to even scan an online coupon saying that their machines will not accept these kind of coupons. I would be totally fine if they had scaned it and tried atleast. They charge 20$ for a basic haircut which is expensive when compared many others, but the servie they provide is the cheapest. I was exicted while walking in.. but it was utter disappointment walking out of the sallon. I am not going again and will not recommend to any of my friends as well. I just hope they don’t disappoint others. All the best to people who are visting them.

Pro Tip: if you want to skip the line and go ahead early, just say you tried to sign in online and the stylist will let you go ahead of everyone else - adding another 30 minutes to everyone else’s wait time.Also, watching Sue slowly clean and stare at things around the store with six people in line was especially frustrating. It’s a slow, slow store and an incredibly frustrating experience. I do not recommend.

I waited for 3 hours then somebody remove my name from the waiting list and they told me that I have to sign in again and wait for another hour. And the service is not that grate too

Second time in a row that me and my 2 boys come for haircuts and both boys get called and I get skipped while other people behind me get called back ahead of me! Of course the excuse is that people behind me requested a stylist. So they get put ahead of people already there? Not even so much an offer to make it right after mentioning this was the second time I waited longer than I should have!

Leslie rushed through my haircut. She almost seemed offended when I asked for a touch-up here or there or pretended like she did not see what I was talking about.I will not return to this location.
