My car stopped in Carlisle and I wasn’t able to have it towed back to York to my regular mechanic. So glad Steve’s was close and was able to get my car in right away. The work I had done fell into the same price range I paid for the same issue on another car, so I was comfortable knowing I wasn’t being overcharged.Very nice people and excellent service .

Originally went to the local Honda dealer for routine state inspection and emissions...failed due to exhaust leak as the flange bolts had rusted off and were unable to have repaired due to the limited exhaust equipment onsite and was recommended to see another better suited garage....went to Steves as a local small business and he was able to repair the exhaust with a solid long term solution the next day for a very low price under 200which included the inspection. Honda quoted almost 2000 to replace entire exhaust issue. Will be using Steves for future needs indefinitely!

I brought my vehicle over for a state and emission inspection. The vehicle passes every year, since 2013 with the same modifications. The vehicle is a 2014 Mustang GT. The technician that did the inspection is Mike, from the moment I walked into the shop, he had a poor attitude and ignored me. The technician did not greet me and just asked for the paperwork. This vehicle is registered in Cumberland County, Cumberland county is one of the counties where the vehicles just need to pass the emission OBD part of the vehicle inspection. This technician failed me because the vehicle had an aftermarket exhaust, which it had since 2013, and passed every time at other locations. This vehicle doesnt throw codes and passes the smog checks. This technician decided to fail the vehicle. Despite me trying to explain him that visual tampering is only for vehicles 1975-1995, but he disagreed, without showing any proof. While I had proof at hand, which can be looked up at PA state inspections website. He never brought me over to the garage to point out any errors, for example, he decided to fail my vehicle because it had RGB fog lights, the fog lights are used for car shows or when the vehicle isnt driven. And the fog light colors are driven in a DOT regulated white color, which can be changed on my phone. He never brought me over to the garage to point it out so I can show him. The only thing emission related to this vehicle that should have been tested the Onboard Diagnostics and Gas Cap Check, which the vehicle passes every year with. Again, this technician did not seem to understand this. He failed me because of an aftermarket sport exhaust. You cannot do that if the vehicle is registered in Cumberland County where I live. Mike the technician also decided to rip my old emission sticker off.EDIT: And Guess what? I was right. I called PennDot Emissions immediately and received my emission sticker. Please dont go to this shop. Mike wouldnt even listen to me trying to explain the law to him.

Steve and Tom are amazing. We were visiting family in Pennsylvania and on our way back home to Nashville Tennessee when the radiator in my car broke. Being from out of town we felt helpless. We walked into Steves Repair Unlimited and they were so awesome. Even though they were very busy they helped us get back on the road very quickly.We had originally gone somewhere else only because it was across from where our car started smoking. When talking to the other place they definitely made it seem we were inconveniencing them which made it so much more stressful for us. Luckily we found Steve! Nice guys...Honest and fair prices for solid work

A lot of people in my office use Steves Repairs so I decided to give him a try. He was very friendly, knew exactly what was wrong with my car and the price was very reasonable. Service was also fast! Im glad I finally gave Steves Repairs a try and will definitely be using him in the future!

Went here to get daughters car inspected, they said it needed $950 in repairs to get it inspected. Took it to second garage (country garage up home at my Dads) only to find out that it only needed a part that cost $50. Glad I took it to a garage that was honest with me. Just be aware if they say you need a lot of repairs, never hurts to get second opinion.

My 99 Ford Ranger broke down on me a few months ago. I called around several places for estimates and Steves gave me the best price. He was very friendly through the whole process, he gave me an accurate estimate, did the job very fast, and I have not had any problems with the work. I would recommend to anyone looking for a mechanic in the Carlisle area.

I went into Steves for a PA inspection. He was polite and helpful. He annotated several maintenance concerns that were creeping up on me within the next year, and he provided me with estimates to do the work. I have had work done at other places and his estimates were quite a bit lower than the competition. His location to Carlisle Barracks is very convenient for service members.

We were traveling from ohio, started having issues with our van and found steves, they were truly awesome! They took time out of their busy day to stop and look at our van. We had work done before leaving on our trip and they were great about communicating with the other garage. We ended up leaving the van due to having to order some parts and they were great about keeping us updated. The day after we got home they called to make sure we didnt have any problems going home. We truly appreciate everything they did for us and definitely recommend them if you need work done!!

After having a scary experience on the road passing through the area, I needed a mechanic in the worst way. I was recommended to Steves by a local and I couldnt have been more thankful for that suggestion. Steve gave me the proper guidance and made sure that the job was done correctly and quickly. Kinda shady to me. They lied about parts not being available even tho two auto parts stores are a block away. Wanted some brakes pads changed and they told me a price that was way to high. Ill take my car somewhere else
