This place is perfect! Ive never stayed in such an immaculate place. Very comfortable and well stocked. Easy check in. Just overall very pleased!

This place was amazing and a cozy cabin! Perfect for a weekend get away. Close to Carbondale for shopping and date night as well as secluded enough to feel as if it was in the middle of no where. The only down fall is the bed in our cabin was to firm for me. Other than that everything was awesome.

Made a reservation for a friends birthday.. Day of our stay we went to pick up keys, we were spoken to rudely and scorned for not being at the right place & we shouldve learned to drive in High School. We are adults, in our 30s. Also, we were asked who would be staying with us because if were trying to have a party we may as well cancel our reservation. The cabin is said to sleep up to 7. For some reason we were asked if wed be smoking Marijuana & there was reference of a previous tennant who had a party and they didnt want a repeat. Cant say for sure what the issue was/is, as we were treated very nice & politely upon initial contact. Needless to say, we did Not keep this reservation.

Very nice cabin setting. Very clean, everything we needed. The manager helped us operate the TV...after we pushed buttons we shouldnt have! Great place...we will be back!

Real chill place to relax & enjoy Family time, were actually going back in July cant wait, on top of that theirs a horse staple 15 minutes away for horseback riding & another place I went to 45 minutes away for ziplining!!!

We stayed in Cabin 4. It was an absolutely perfect cabin for a relaxing getaway. The swimming and fishing ponds on site were terrific and the scenery was just as great. The cabins were much more spacious than imagined for the price and were fully stocked with literally everything in the kitchen we could think of needing. Janet was such a wonderful hostess and very helpful with suggestions and recommendations.Above and beyond: We loved the dollar hunt! I hope this tradition between guests continues forever! - Theres a small notebook with clues for finding a dollar within the cabin. Each of our boys left a clue for a dollar because they loved looking for it so much.We chose this cabin after looking for months unsuccessfully for a cabin near the Shawnee National Forest - Garden of the Gods (also remarkable). I am so glad we did because the amenities here seem to far outweigh those that we saw when we drove down for our hiking.Small critiques: The queen bed in cabin 4 wasnt terrific - it was super hard. The wifi was spotty at best. This being said, well definitely be back and are already planning our next getaway and recommending to all our friends and family. This coming from a family that hardly stays in 2 places twice.

We stayed at Cabin 6. This is located away from the other cabins. Cabin 6 is on the other side of the road in a subdivison, so not too much of a cabin feel. The flooring in the kitchen is busted up in a spot so you have to watch to make sure your feet dont get cut. There was not an oven mitt in the kitchen. Wifi does not work. Smells musty. Bath is very small. I will say the beds are pretty comfy.

We stayed at Indian creek cabins for the weekend, and it was an amazing place to spend a weekend... The cabins are clean, well stocked with everything youd need and the atmosphere and scenery is top notch. Thank you for the great experience!!

Arrived at the cabins and immediately liked how things were setup. We reserved a 2 bedroom cabin & it was fully furnished with all the home amenities (including coffee, spices, etc). Outside we had a fireplace, grill, basketball court, & access to kayaks & canoes on the lakes on-site.We even had a family of deer great us on arrival. Have to say, Im impressed.Now, with the Shawnee National Forest a short distance away, we have a base of operations to do some exploring for the next few days.

Our family of 4 had our first stay at the Cabins on Indian Creek, July 26-28, 2019, and we are so pleased that Im sure we will be staying here again in the future! Didnt know what to expect because it was a little difficult to see exactly what each cabin looks like from their website presence, and as frequent Southern Illinois visitors, we have several other favorite rentals that werent available for the recent weekend of travel, which led me to taking a chance on this one. We chose Cabin #2 because we didnt need anymore space other than for 4 adults. Upon arriving, the pristine grounds immediately impressed us, though we still werent sure what to expect considering their check-in process is a little old fashioned (meaning, all other rentals weve stayed in through the years have the self-check-in with a code, etc.) and the manager meets you at the cabin with the key. However, shes very friendly and welcoming and after she got us all checked-in, she left us with complete privacy for our entire stay. Cabin #2 is actually attached to the little management office, so again, I was leery at first since we do enjoy a quiet space to ourselves... but again, no worries - because we did have our cabin and deck to ourselves with no intrusions. The cabin interior is beautiful! Perfectly clean and looks new! Comfortable beds and furnishings. My daughter and her husband immediately enjoyed the swimming hole (a lovely pond with a slide and rope swing) and the kayaks on the separate fishing pond. I cant say enough good things about our stay - it was entirely peaceful, the grounds and cabins are gorgeous. They even provide adequate firewood and gas grills. The only improvement might be a few more pots in the kitchen but really it wasnt a problem. They provided everything we needed to have a truly restful, enjoyable weekend. I highly recommend the Cabins on Indian Creek.

We rented this cabins for a family gathering over a weekend. We had four cabins reserved, and it was a great experience. The cabins are completely outfitted for cooking, including spices, knives, pots and pans, and appliances. The basketball hoop, picnic tables, swimming pond, and kayaking pond made for great fun for everyone. We had three generations there, and everyone had a great time. Totally recommended.

Obviously the pictures speak for themselves! This is The Lodge, the largest cabin, that can sleep 10. We assumed The Lodge included all of the amenities that were listed on the website and came prepared with the Xbox for the kids and for access to our streaming channels. However, when we arrived, we were told this gorgeous house does not have any internet access. This was an issue because none of our t-mobile phones had service either. Because we believed we would have WiFi, we did not print out how to get around Carbondale or to the areas of Shawnee National Park that we were closest to in that area. It caused us a lot of inconvenience and made our trip frustrating. We complained to the property manager about the false advertising. She sent the owner to the cabin to tell us that nothing could be done and if we are unhappy we can leave at no charge. However, that was not an option because we had no internet to see if other cabins were available anywhere else. We tried to shake it off and enjoy the swimming pond with rope swing and slide. We also did some canoeing in the other pond. We found our way to Garden if The Gods and had a great time! If you are considering renting The Lodge, be sure that you are prepared to have no internet. The place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable beds and furniture. We were not offered a discount for our inconvenience of the false advertising of WiFi access.

Didnt really know what to expect and was very pleased. The interiors of the cabins are up to date. The landscaping around the cabins is very nice. Didnt get to use any of the other offerings. They also have a basketball court and canoesto use on the pond behind the cabins. The cabin we were in had an upper level deck that gave us a wonderful view of the pond

This is small private “Hotel-Cabin” and can’t be nicer! Very nice, homey, comfortable and clean place. Great and professional Management. Price was just right. We stayed over Spring Break and had nothing then fun. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

We rented cabin 4 and it was very nice, loved the pond and rope swing. Came back to cabin 6 and it’s terrible. Very outdated, not well cared for, dirty, broken and missing items and not near the other cabins or the amenities. We were very disappointed.

Cabin 6 is not what says in description. This cabin is not located on the waterfront. It is in the residential neighborhood across the street right next to the maintenance barn.We had maintenance people and the owners constantly watching us. When we did drive over to where the other cabins are to use the lake that we thought our cabin was on, once again people came out of a cabin watching us like we were not supposed to be there. The other cabins on the lake looked beautiful and that is what I thought we were getting but instead we were in the outdated house across the street in the neighborhood. The whirlpool tub also doesnt work and that is not mentioned in the description either. Then they show up at 10:20 to clean our cabin when check out was 11. My advice if you cant get cabin 1 though 5 find something else unless you are fine with not getting the product that was advertised.

We rented three cabins for a family reunion / 50th anniversary celebration. My sister Inlaw found the place and the accommodations are wonderful. It is quiet and the cabins are clean and spacious. The lake is inviting for the kids (and adults) to swim in. This is a nice place to get away (yet stay connected thru wifi).

Dont expect any hot water. Otherwise a great place to stay.
