Been renting places in Capitola for 10+ years. Most of them through Beach House Rentals. The office staff are attentive and seem to love where they work. It shows in their service. Lots of different types of houses in different prices. Many are dog friendly.

Incredibly helpful staff who are responsive to the needs of the clients. The properties are accurately described and there is a wide variety from which to choose. Let them help you plan your next family vacation get away.

Beach House is not an ethical company and I discourage anyone from doing business with them. I rented from them for 14 months, moved out in Oct 2020, and they still have not returned my security deposit of $5,600. There was no property damage, and they haven’t claimed there was. They simply ignore my many, many requests. Dede and Misty - I hope you read this. I’ve given you every opportunity to do the right thing. Unfortunately my next step is legal action.WARNING - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BEACH HOUSE RENTALS!

I cant say enough good things or tell enough people about the great service we get EVERY year here, at Beach House Rentals. Booking and re-booking has always been easy. House is always ready for us. Ive never had any problems. We are always welcomed back with a sweet card and bottle of wine. That alone is great GREAT customer service. Sara has always been sooo friendly and helpful. I love everything about Beach House Rentals and CAPITOLA. I recommend to EVERYONE that asks me where I stay, to go through B.H.R. We rented from Beach House Rentals for a long weekend in July. Property was very clean and was just what we expected. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Some other members of my family also rented from them in June and were also very happy with their stay. I would definitely recommend this company for your stay in Capitola!

We gathered for sisters week in beautiful sunny Capitola, CA. Upon arriving at our beach bungalow we were immediately impressed. We opened the door to a exceptionally clean and unique living quarters. This place has all the accommodations and feelings of cottage charm. It is uniquely located near the beach, shopping, restaurants, Grocery store and more, all within walking distance. It is amazingly quite and a great neighborhood. I highly recommend 222 San Jose Ave.

This whole experience was awesome.Sara at the rental office was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, patiently nagged me for my paperwork and was extremely flexible with my check in and check out process.The property itself suited us just wonderfully. We loved sitting out on the deck in the early morning to listen to the ocean. Also, you cant beat the location, just steps from downtown Capitola, the beach and Capitola Warf! When we arrived, it was clear the home was deep cleaned from top to bottom and everything was in perfect working condition.I highly recommend working with Beach House Rentals...especially if youre considering taking the dogs (2 max) along! There are no additional fees or contractual agreements just as long as Fido minds the house rules.We all are very much looking forward to the next time! I have rented from Beach House Rentals and Dede Harrington for 14 years. I drive from Dallas to spend the month of July in Capitola with my northern California family. When we first rented, my oldest grandson was 1 and he climbed the play structures at the mall and picked up rocks on the beach. Now he and his younger brother are surfers. I have rented three different houses and each time the place has been clean and fairly well furnished when we arrive. The specific furnishings are at the discretion of the owners. When we have had any problem, from trouble turning on the television to a clogged sink, the staff at Beach House Rentals have responded promptly, no matter the time of day, even the 4th of July. All of the staff are friendly and thoughtful. Beach House Rentals exemplifies the Gold Standard.

Our family has rented a few beach rentals through Beach House Rentals in Capitola Village, CA. They were each very well equipped and clean with comfortable beds, breathtaking views, and within walking distance to the village and the beach. When we had a group needing to rent a number of units for a wedding nearby they went out of their way to graciously accommodate all of us. The BHR staff is friendly and always helpful if we need ideas of things to do or places to eat. All in all, they make our family feel right at home in their lovely properties. We will definitely be contacting BHR again for our future vacations in the Capitola area.

I rented the house at 314 Riverview, a funky older cottage for a few days recently. Every night I heard a rat or racoon in attic and walls. This made lt difficult to relax, wondering if rodents would eat my food or surprise me. To their credit, the rental company said they would send an exterminator asap, (did not happen) and they checked in with me twice. My complaint is that they offered me apologies, but no discount on my stay.Unfortunately, there is more: the bedroom rug smelled like old socks, and the comforter stank. In a small room with no window, it was offensive.The bathroom floor was grimy and the shower needed scrubbing. I dont think shower shoes should be necessary when paying peak season prices.When I left I saw a dusty rat bait box under the stairs, so management has been aware of the rodent problem, but not aggressive enough.

Last weekend we rented an amazing beach house through Beach House Rentals right in the heart of Capitola. It was everything you would imagine a beach house to look and feel like. Incredible views, extremely clean and well kept house. Plenty of condiments in the fridge (salt, pepper,etc. ) stuff you may not think to bring, but it was there.And a few days after our vacation was over and we were home, I realized I forgot my bluetooth speaker at the house!?! I called into Beach House Rentals, told them where I left the speaker in the house, they texted me back an hour later, found my speaker and shipped it back to me within a few days, at no-charge. Thank you Sara :-)An amazing experience through and through. Ive recommended them to a few friends already, and hope this Yelp review helps sway your opinion to use them, because they are worth it!

We rented a great place for the Begonia Festival for Friday thru Monday. We specifically asked if there have been any comments about foot traffic on the floor above us. We were told that it has never come up, which now we find very hard to believe. It sounded like the people above were wearing clogs all day, at 7am, 8 am, throughout the day, at 9pm, 11pm and 2am. Even after calling the next morning, the clogging continued.Very disappointed. We asked about this prior to booking and would have selected a different property. We felt like the revenue was more important than our experience.
