I have nothing but incredible things to say about Tates in Caldwell!! They always have the customer’s best interest in mind and it’s part of their environment/nature to go above and beyond. Recently there was a suicide prevention all-night walkathon (Strength 2 Thrive) hosted by Rhythm & Grace Counseling. Tates was readily on board to donate heaters for the event to keep all us walkers warm. They understood the cause. They graciously gave to a cause/event that literally saves lives. Tate’s Rents is great to work with! Rich reserved all of the right tools we needed and gave great advice for our project, even taking a few of our calls with questions throughout the day. Everything worked great and was affordable. It’s great to be able to rent tools for one time projects instead of purchasing them. I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future!

John at caldwell store did a great job.

Rented a lift, was unable to load it on the trailer and when we had to jack up the trailer to load it. We told them, and they tried to do it with the same trailer and could not do it. Very dangerous, very bad experience and will never go to Caldwell location again. Wrong equipment, huge safety issues and they showed no concern at all.

Just rented a lift there for 2 weeks Everything worked great nice new equipment. Rich handled everything over the phone saved me time and money not leaving the job Rich’s prices quoted were spot on and he is very professional. Very happy with Tate’s rents in Caldwell idaho. Thank you

DONT RENT FROM HERE!!! This company is shady and crooks first off I rented a backhoe cause they had a long reach they told me they had to have a special transport for it and it would be 250.00 to deliver i live less then ten miles from them they drove it here and had the guy picking him up park down the street never informed me I could drive it here then I called them to tell them I only had 5 hours on it the guy informed me it wasnt being rented till the first of next month so no problem cause I could have finished my project that day I called the next day for pick up and they came the fallowing day and charged for 3 days he said he would credit me 1 day. The day they picked up before 9 o clock. Basically they ripped me off for about 450.00 bucks. So be aware of shady companies roots rental is by far better rent at your own risk you have been warned!!!!

I needed to move 4 cubic yards of road mix and build a pad for a storage shed. Tates had a mini skid loader and trailer that my F 150 could pull. They had great customer service, user friendly equipment, and the rig only used 1/2 gal of diesel. The job was done in less than an hour, and it was very affordable. Thank you Tates.

Fantasic Customer Service! They were very quick to help me with my rental, even last minute. I needed to be a little flexible with timing and they worked with me. This store has good old fashioned customer service where they do what is best to help the customer first!

I rented some concrete tools from Tates Rents Caldwell. They had everything I needed. I called a few places and these guys are the only one to have the big stuff to the small. They were friendly and helpful on the phone and at the counter. The next day I rented a walk behind cement saw. I got it running and then it died and I couldnt get it started. I called and Ted came right to my house and got it running. I think it was operator error. :/ He then offered to wait until I was through and take it back for me. Awesome customer service. Thank You!

Rented a wheelchair and they gave us one that had no foot rests/supports!!! Like someone who NEEDS a wheelchair would be able to hold their feet up off the ground on their own for extended periods. Duh!!! But after leaving a few unfavorable reviews the owner immediately made multiple attempts to reach out to me to make it right, which I appreciated very much.

The first time my husband and I rented a lawn mower they made us pay a deposit. They wanted to be paid with a card but since I didnt have a card, they let me make a cash deposit. The second time we rented a lawn mower, we didnt have to pay a deposit. Then the third time my husband tried to rent one, they said we HAVE to pay a deposit with a card and wouldnt let my husband rent one. Why is it different every time we go in there?

Rich, Ted an the boys take care of business, at the Caldwell store!We singed on with the corporate office because of them.Lets just say, their equipment is always charged and the wheels arent falling off... Likend to an outfit, I use to deal with near the sugar beet factory.The team they have is top notch and they treat you, like every other costomer, with respect.Keep it up Tates tents Caldwell! Pain free easy rental. Rented a tow dolly here, cheaper than uhaul and they dont make you go through all the crap uhaul makes you fill out. And they let us borrow their hitch for free because ours was the wrong size. Highly recommend.
