I absolutely love this location. Very clean, well maintained all around, and well organized in addition to all of the other perks that you expect at a Planet Fitness.

Good enough to get a lot done. Its not an ideal gym but you cant beat the prices. Dont spend all your time on the cardio equipment, strength training is a key part for men and women.

Staff is helpful and nice. The only time a single spot in there isnt clean is if someone blows up the bathroom within 5 minutes of you walking in there, THATS IT. Only deducting one star because I want them to get a sauna

I like Planet Fitness. Im a little disappointed with the upper management of the region. Planet fitness isnt 24/7 anymore. Its 24/5 they close at 9 oclock Friday night and at 7 oclock Saturday and Sunday night. Then open up at 12:00 am Monday so they close for 5 hours on Sunday. Sometimes people have plans during the day and they have to change their whole day if they want to make it to the gym to get their workout in. They were open all through COVID-19. I just dont understand 😕😪🤦

My husband and I had our business with them for years. We canceled 3 days after their yearly fee because we couldnt afford it due to loss of income. We asked to have the yearly fee refunded because we needed that money only to be told the yearly fee was non refundable. We asked to have the number to their corporate office and told to email our complaint to such and such email address. We feel this is totally uncalled for since we canceled only 3 days after they withdrew the money from our account. They will never get our business again. Very very poor customer service.

Arrived at this planet fitness this morning at 6:20 AM. Shocked that I have to wear a mask to work out, but I understand thats the governors doing. What I dont understand is why its OK for the girl behind the counter, Brandy, to be straightening her hair with a flat iron, using the iPad as a mirror, instead of checking me in.

Ive been a member since 2015. I have never had a bad experience here. Staff is always super nice and they keep the place sparkling clean (even before Covid) Even the other members are super nice, which makes for a good workout environment.There are several rooms with multiples of many machines. I dont often have to wait for machines even when its busy. Of course its not that busy anymore because of Covid.I have the black card and this is the cheapest gym membership Ive ever had (in 30 years!) and I can go anywhere in the country....Plus massage beds are included!Even if you dont think youll use it a lot, get the black card...especially if you travel or even just go outside the area a lot. I go to the Cranberry and Allison Park locations occasionally and they are both really nice also.

Super awesome staff that I have known since they opened. Very friendly, helpful, and want the best for their patrons. I have been to many different PFs, even as far as Seattle, and this is by far one of the cleanest and best maintained. Very inclusive environment and is great for anyone, no matter where you are in your fitness journey. The only thing I would change about this place if I could is to have a few free weight bench presses. It can for sure be worked around though and you cant beat it for $10 a month!

So cheap in monthly fees, and I can meet my current goals here! So many machines, and the people are so nice and greet you upon coming and going. If youre a lifter and youre over, I think 250 lbs, youll have to go elsewhere. The weights only reach a certain maximum. Not a place for heavy lifters.

I have a health condition that prevents me from wearing a mask at all. Every time I go in to the Butler plant fitness I am harrassed by every employee except the one lady who I believe is in charge. No place else gives me a hard time. No other planet fitness harasses me and the Butler location is the one I go to the most. Best part is when they are standing there trying to argue with me I noticeably begin to struggle with my breathing. Its as if I chose to suffer a condition that puts me at risk under restricted breathing, as if my doctors did not instruct me to forego wearing a mask. So, plant fitness, the no judgement zone, unless you have a disability. Gtfo

Its a no frills gym with decent equipment. I usually go to the cranberry PF, so this doesnt really compare to that one, but it gets the job done. I do have to say though there is a funky oil/petrolium/fertilizer smell. Not sure if its wafting in from tractor supply or the previous buisness which use to occupy this space. Its clean just wish the shower area was laid out better.

I am a member of both PF and YMCA. PF is great and the staff is extremely helpful. They have a wide range of machines, free weights plus tanning booths or massage beds. No gym rat meat heads here. The cranberry PF has a bit more but the drive is not worth the excess. I like to do my thing and get lost. Crowds are highest at expected hours like morning, lunch, then dinner. Go between if at all possible to avoid crowding. Once you get your routine down youll be able to work circles around people. WORTH IT.

To begin with, I am not a member, nor will I ever be one given their current billing model.In order to join, I would be required to give Planet Fitness my bank and checking account routing number so they can automatically withdraw my fees and dues using electronic fund transfer (EFT). The corporate websites FAQ explains this as a convenience provided to their customers. I can think of nothing MORE inconvenient than handing over my checking information just to be able to join a gym. Unlike paying with a credit card, there is limited (generally, think none) consumer protection once the money is withdrawn from my account. I cant, in good conscience, add my name and checking account information to a (potentially hackable) data base somewhere in the cloud just to join a gym, no matter how much Id like to join. I had taken the tour of the Butler, PA location and absolutely LOVED it! It was clean, lots of equipment, friendly staff, open 24/7 (an unexpected bonus)-exactly what I was looking for.In a gym.Bottom line, if youre looking for a great gym and have no reservations over being REQUIRED to provide your checking account information, I think the Butler, PA location would be a great choice. Unfortunately, I cant. I give them one star strictly based on their inability to accept a willing, paying customer who doesnt want to pay by EFT

$10 a month and you can come and go 24/7 or $20 and you have much more variety such as automatic water massage tables (you dont get wet), tanning booths, also schedule classes with a trainer to target specific muscle groups. The layout of their class schedule is varied from day to day to accommodate as many members as they can. They sell gym clothes and supplies at the counter as well as water/sports drinks. Go with the $20 a month Black Card membership and stay motivated with the positive atmosphere that you enter.

I wish I could give them less than one star. The gym itself is nice and I never had issues with the staff, but I canceled my membership over 3 months ago and have still been charged every month, despite speaking to the manager about it. Conveniently now, I am not getting my emails or calls answered, and they have fraudulently taken over $60 out of my bank account. I have the paperwork from the day I cancelled, but that doesn’t seem to have made a difference. Very despicable business practice. I will never again get a membership at a planet fitness.

Really not a fan of Planet Fitness but it may be the gym for you. It has plenty of treadmills and cardio equipment and tons of specialized machines to weight train. No squat rack, benches or free weights other than a few dumbells and set weight barbells though. There are several smith machines but imo it just isnt the same thing. Depending on your goals and fitness level you may love this place.I can still get a decent training session in here but the price is outrageous for a day pass! They ask 20$ for it but say theyll deduct it from your membership if you sign up. I may have but you cannot pay monthly or even annually with cash. You MUST have a bank account and get fees deducted.The atmosphere is different but idk about their No Judge Zone slogan - definitely judgment as with anywhere you go if youre weary of this. The PF in Butler is large, clean and has tanning and steam room included if you get the premium membership for a little over 20$ monthly. Just the Gym is around 13$ monthly. The staff seemed friendly enough except for one woman who I believed was the manager who was stand offish and kinda mean.Its alright for the price but personally I couldnt work out here daily. I here they give out Pizza and Donuts if youre into this but only saw candy on the desk.

My second home. Clean and I rarely wait for equipment. I was worried about the limitations without free weights but I have been able to make serious progress here in the last year. Its a fantastic gym

Planet Fitness is known for being a gym with no commitment...just $10 month. Not entirely true...Black Card membership is a 12 month commitment. I upgraded to the $19.99 membership thinking I might want to tan. Unfortunately, the employee at the Butler location who upgrade my account to Black NEVER mentioned it was a 12 month commitment. He upgraded my previous account, gave me a shirt, new card, and had me sign the screen. I was completely in shock when I called to cancel my account and I was informed of my commitment. It just so happens that the manager was the individual who answered the phone. Explained it was never mentioned at the time I upgraded. I know I should have read the contract...that is my fault. I get that I have to honor my commitment. But I wonder how many other people upgrade their account not realizing it is a commitment because the staff is not trained to inform clients of the difference between the two types of memberships. The manager did not seem to really care that her staff was not reviewing membership details throughly at the time of enrollment. Disappointing!

Say what you will about Planet Fitness, but it is economical, clean,and always open. Like any gym,you get out of it, what you put into it.

The staff is very friendly. With the black card get to use the spa which consist of the hydo massage, tanning (have 2 stand ups and 5 beds), massage chairs and . Also can take different workout classes along with everyday workouts. They offer a design your own program which I highly recommend if not sure exactly which machines to use and how.

Excellent equipment options, entire facility always shines clean, all members are respectful to each other and most seem like genuine decent folks. I really enjoy it there, but staff sometimes needs to be more upbeat.

I’m extremely disappointed in planet fitnesses customer service! I have a black card and went into my gym today to tan and the women was very rude and told me I was not allowed to tan. She said I already tanned in the last 24 hours which in fact is not true I have not been to the gym within a week. The women did absolutely nothing to fix this issue and I will be cancelling my membership because the employee only degraded me and I don’t want to be involved in that type of environment how ridiculous!

I have gone in about 2 months, and really wasnt paying attention to when the annual fee came out of bank account I actually forgot about it. Have been on a real tight budget recently and found out money was taken out and caused 2 overdraft fees! They could have sent out a mass email, text, or phone call to all the black club members for s reminder. Only thing the said they did was post a poster in front window. I cancel it, girl at desk asked why I canceled and she didnt even bother to write it on the form, she just wrote canceled as if they dont want corporate to know why I did cancel it. Asked her for management to call, and no call yet! Decent place to work out, but no respect for their members. Money money money. I just dont see how you can take money out of an account without a friendly reminder like an email. Im sure its in the contract but who the hell remembers that 14 months after signing. Im sure Ill never see my money from the overdraft fees I lost, but just want everyone to be aware of this!

I have yet to go and work out at Planet Fitness. I just got my membership lastnight here in Butler PA. Michelle was absolutely awesome. She was very informative over the phone and explained everything I had questions about. Soon as I walked in she greeted us as if she knew us and was just as nice as she was over the phone. The place was very clean no bad smell like some places Ive been. The music on the other hand can use my help to get the people moving 😁. I cant wait to go back and start my training. Coodos to the owners great place.

I use this gym because i travel, so it’s convenient. I asked the staff why they don’t get more free weight, i was told this gym doesn’t cater to bodybuilding or powerlifting! To which i am neither. So I’m being judged because I’m strong? I thought this was a judgment free zone! So if your skinny you shouldn’t be alowed here because you might hurt us overweight people feelings? I thought the point of a gym was to get in better shape, and if you lift weights to get stronger? They don’t want you to get stronger! Sad

Nice and clean. More than accommodating for whatever kind of workout you are looking to get into. You dont feel overwhelmed by lunks, meatheads or anyone trying to make your expirience anything less than enjoyable. They have trainers if thats you thing or if you wanna stray and do your own thing, Thats perfectly fine too.

Lacking in machines needed for a full body workout... no deadlift platforms, nor free weight squat racks, nor free weight shoulder press, bench press incline or decline bench press. Also, the Lunk Alarm is just weird and made me fear to perform my best during my workout for fear of being removed from the premises... better than nothing, but will recommend any other gym in town once they get one!

Dont sign up for black card, make sure they give you a contract, and dont rely on anyone to give you the right information, unless it is the manager. Called to cancel a few months back and was told no problem, saw today that they are still taking money. Called again and said policy says they cant cancel it over the phone. When I talked to the franchise office, Danielle said she saw 100% of the customers who sign a contract recieve one, when I told her it was amazing she could be awake every day 24/7, she then tried to walk back her comment. Dont sign up with Planet Fitness if you dont want screwed.

Went in to cancel my membership, which is very inconvenient due to moving to a different area, and they never processed my cancellation. They kept charging me and were hoping I didn’t notice. Keep your paperwork and document it!

Issues: Black Mold in BathroomGerms On unsanitary EquipmentOH MY GOD! There was black mold growing on the bathroom wall under the hand dryers.I mentioned it to staff,They did a sloppy job of cleaning it up missed a lot of it,It all grew back.I filed a health concern to the Public health board.Nothing was being done about the health issues.6 months later I filed another complaint. They still would not keep the mold cleaned up.I gave up! Also I noticed in the 8 months I had a membership there I was always getting a sort throat or sinus infection.I believe that was caused by the germ infested equipment. You cannot leave it to the public to keep the equipment sanitized!whats wrong with them?I am a certified health and Physical Education Teacher? Finally on two different occasions guys were being a_ _holes,causing conflicts . One was ready to fight for his piece of equipment that he had walked away from and came back to find me using it. A other guy got mad because he left and I was using his machine when he came back.He started to pick a fight used profanity said do you remember me? i said no I really do nottrying to keep the peace.Then he replys Well i sure the FUC- remember you. He had his big buddy beside him .He must have made a complaint ! I was shocked.Anyways I get a call the next day .Planet fitness manager says your membership has been terminated. NO meeting with me to confirm that anything happened, just point blank, terminated just like that. A month later I am parked in the lot to use the tractor store next door.The police call and say if I ever park in front of planet fitness again I will be arrested.The fitness center is no trespassing. I was not even parked in front of the store. Read all the bad reviews on line you will not believe your eyes.Please stay away from the place you will get sick if you do not get beat up first.Maybe thrown in Jail! The most dirty and unprofessional fitness place Ive ever been in, and I have been going to them all my life.I am a certified pe and health teacher, first commissioned by the government of Guam DOE and a born again Christian.This is totally uncalled for.
