I would no longer recommend South Butler YMCA childcare. It’s poorly run & the kids are running around bored & unsupervised. My kids attended for the past 10 years & up until this past year it was great. I voiced my concerns & was given a generic reply that had the feel of a prewritten response that’s used every time. It stated that they appreciate feedback from parents & that they would use is it as a learning opportunity. Wow.
I ve been going to the Y for 20 years. Very well run. Clean, well maintained. Great place to get in shape and safe for kids
My children loved the preschool program
The Y has taken a turn. they no longer have activities for the younger children. the are increasing prices and dramatically lowering the quality. they seem to be more worried about having board rooms and their trustees. so many people are disgusted with management but yet suffer with their new ways. there covid practices are horrible. examples. why are so many people crammed in a little hallway watching swimming. but the swim area is empty. no face mask in the work out room not many people are cleaning their space before they move on. the say the removed dance classes for kids because of covid but basketball, zumba classes, karate are all fine.
I like the services and people at the Y. However the hours are not conducive for school kids and working parents. The weekend hours should be the same as the weekday hours. Its frustrating that they close at 8 on Friday, 6 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. I hardly get to use my membership because Im a working single mom.
This y serves the community and its members in so many different ways. I am happy to belong there and enjoy going there at every opportunity I have . Their wide array of resources is only outdone by their staff and their willingness to help.
I have had nothing but great experiences at this YMCA. Both of my children are in childcare and have learned so much in just one year. I have participated in small group training and have taken multiple classes and love the friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
The staff & this facility is truly amazing. Great location & parking. There are nice families & the children love to get together to play and hang out in the rec room. I am honored to have a membership and would refer anyone to participate in any available classes, events or services this facility offers.
I have been coming here since 1968 and have always been able get the help I needed. Always activities for children and adults. #HealthAndFun
If you have kids and plan on working out, go elsewhere. They are now charging 2.00 a day for child watch on top of your membership for 2 very small rooms that arent big enough for the kids to play as is.Terrible decision to take more money with out value in place.Im switching to another Y. Ive been to several ymcas. And this is prob the worst.Previous reviewGym is decent with good equipment. Newly remodeled REC center is terrible. It discourages activity in children due to its size. It encourages screen watching and sitting, while parents are active in the gym. Three stars due to renovations being discouraging to the future of society. The YMCA promotes healthy kids campaign, yet the room is not much bigger than a prison cell.
Its fun to stay here
This place is great!! They have soo much to offer. And the staff is fantastic. I Just wish people would not be soo comfortable in their own skin in the locker room!!! old men
The staff for the day care is unprofessional and could careless what happens to your children. My son was assulted while in there care and was not taken for medical treatment. They feel injury to the head and face the best thing to do is lay the child down to rest! It took me a week to find out answers because, they do not call back when you leave messages. When asked about details theyre clueless. Took me going to higher up to find out the truth, and see details on camera. I removed my children immediately! Would not recommend this place for anything.
Very clean and well matained. Very friendly and helpful staff
I went to weightwatchers there. I lost a couple lbs,but I couldnt lose much weight,so I left. That was two years ago. I tried their diet program yweight. It helped. I gain all my weight back. I didnt pay attention to my weight. My pcp dr wants me to go back to ww again. I joined for the 7tg time. I hope it works. Maybe changing the we sight might help. I guess.
I come here at least 5 days a week to workout. I love it.
This would not let me in on a daypass without a membership unless I was over 18
Love this family friendly gym.
Youth leagues are an unorganized joke.
