My family purchased an above ground pool from another establishment this summer and installed it ourselves (due to things being behind with covid)...We were referred to K-built pools from friends of ours to purchase our chemicals and to have routine water checks done. EVERY time we visited K-built this summer...the staff was amazing. They were kind... informative and beyond helpful. They were extremely patient with me, as I was learning to tend to my pool as a newbie. Recently, Bobby walked me step by step through the closing process...hand wrote instructions...and answered my many questions without once seeming inconvenienced...Thank you for that Bobby... because closing a pool for the first time can feel overwhelming!As a newbie I have read and heard lots of horror stories about pool stores selling you unnecessary products...and those unnecessary products turning your pool green etc... NEVER ONCE did I experience this type of exchange.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND K built for ALL your pool needs!

Its not easy to turn a regular backyard into a beautiful area with a pool and patio...but its just what K-Built did for us. From design, to construction, to keeping the pool water balanced, they do it all and do it well. Best pool/spa store in the Burlington area. Have used them for two years now from water analysis and advice to pump and filter installation. Fair prices and VERY helpful staff. Where do I begin? :-) In 2009 we purchased a new home(fixer upper!) that came with a pool.The pool had sat for many years and it was disgusting to say the least! On a whim I researched nearby pool companies and came across K-Built Pools.I spoke with Heather several times throughout the process.She was informative and helpful.A date and time was arranged for them to come out and install our new liner.Kevin and his helper arrived as planned and on time.Being that this was our first pool I was full of questions and Kevin was extremely knowledgeable.Through the years whenever we need pool service we call on K-Built.Just recently our liner needed replacing and the process was just as smooth as the first go round many years ago.The work is always wonderful,good quality and the employees are always professional,friendly and efficient. We highly recommend K-Built!

They helped me plan my dream pool (well, my this is my dream within my budget pool!). They communicated well along the way, did a quality job, and quickly addressed a couple of minor issues after completion. They made recommendations for a fencing company and a financing service as well.

We are very disappointed. We had a complete in-ground pool installed by them.We were never informed about the possibility of ground water and lift on our liner. They later admitted openly that typically is their responsibility to offer mitigation of ground water if it is determined lift is an issue in your engineering phase. Not only was I not aware of lift until it occurred, but clearly with our hill that surrounds the pool, their team of experts should have educated us on possibilities to mitigate and prevent the occurrence.Warranty on workmanship Since they mis-engineered and did not communicate the ground water, these issues are directly associated with workmanship/engineering, but this has not been resolved, only tempororaily remediated last spring.Lack of timely response - I hounded them with messages and follow ups, not just during the process of installing our pool but ESPECIALLY when there were issues, no call backs throughout the winter and spring to get them out and discuss options/ resolutions.Lastly- shockingly one of their on-site guys who was nice and knowledgeable disclosed he had a MRSA skin infection on his leg and had it wrapped with an ace bandage, he explained he had it from a dirty pool repair earlier in the season. He was in a great deal of pain as the MRSA had penetrated deep and it was a re-occurrence. It sounded pretty bad. Well I ran to run an errand, and upon my return he was in the water thigh high (his wound was on his lower leg) trying to fix the liner). Spreading his leg MRSA around the water, this is highly contagious, ***there 3-4 other guys there but HE went in the pool***.

Got a new pool from them put in.

Signed contract in the spring for July install, installed in October! Paid for a pool 8 months without being able to use it. When July came around there was no communication on a delay, August, no communication, etc had to call several times since the date continued to change.Specifically talked about panel placement to be within budget and still ended up 30% over charge! Panel could have easily been moved to different location to accommodate the budget, the pool is 17’ from the house.Pool looks nice, install crew was nice, if it wasn’t such a huge delay, no communication, and the $$$$ overage it may have been an enjoyable experience.

Very bad experience. Was told that they would come in the morning but the schedule got reversed without me being notified - worse than waiting on the Cable representative. Then when the serviceman got here - never announced himself and unplugged my pool vac to use my extension cord.I requested my pool light be inspected and that was not done although I was told that they would. Called and spoke to the owner but was like talking to a rock. Then the bill came... I now know why they wanted a credit card # first. Had no idea that it was going to be almost double for what I was expecting

This is our first pool and K-Built was more than accommodating with all of our pre-decision questions. The install was impressive and precise, “these guys know what they are doing”. Like any construction job there will be some surprises like Mother Nature sending the rain but all in all Kevin and his crew have the experience to handle the situation. Overall a good experience and very pleased with the service after the sale. We are swimming and love it!

After doing diligent research (i.e. visiting pool construction companies around the area), we settled on K-Built Construction Pools and Spas. They provided excellent service from start to finish, and even beyond!A few months after our pool was installed, we discovered a manufacturing defect in the liner that essentially drained our pool of water. Kevin, the owner, attended to the problem right away, ordered the replacement liner, installed it and provided a new batch of supplies---salt and chemicals---to keep our pool running again. The company did not shy away from the responsibility of fixing the problem. And oh, I should mention that we did not have to pay a single cent to have the problem fixed.My husband and I visit the K-Built store regularly to get our water tested. They provide the kind of support and information that we need as pool owners. For a long-term investment such as a pool, were glad we went with the best. We paid for the installation of the pool but we got so much more in return: peace of mind.

In a word - unprofessional would be fair. I contacted Kevin for an estimate on a pool that needed to be repaired. I had purchased the house as an investment. It has a pool that had been neglected for about 2 years. Kevin came out and looked at the pool and said he would provide an estimate. After about a month and multiple texts to see when I could have the estimate - no response.

K-Built has done an excellent job maintaining our pool for the past couple of years at West Pointe Apartments in Burlington NC. They are here every Monday morning working and cleaning it. Yesterday, August 24th 2016 we had a surprise inspection from the state and passed with no problems. Thank you very much for your services!!

They must not need business because I called 2 weeks ago and was told their salesman was on vacation.but someone would call me the first of the next week. Theyve had 7 days to call but no word.
