If you are on the fence about whether or not to get a hedgehog, DO IT. We were very excited when we brought our hoglet home, but could never have imagined just how much we would fall in love with her. We brought our hoglet girl home in July 2021 and it has been a purely rewarding experience. She was so healthy and well socialized that within the first week she was snuggling up with us without hesitation. She is SO SMART and somehow in a room of other friends and family, still knows our presence and will scuttle to us if she wants to feel safe and held. She is a star athlete-- if someone can invent a hedgie Peloton that would be a hit. Rachel and Bill s hoglets are as healthy, energetic, sweet, snuggly, and smart as they come. Rachel and Bill were wonderful during the adoption process. They were very responsive to communication and answered all our questions before and after. 5-stars doesnt even do them justice.

This is an AMAZING breeder and takes and cares very much about hedgehogs! All through my process of getting a hoglet, Rachel has been by my side with every question and took time to introduce my new hoglet Mateo to me when I picked up! I have seen and met hedgehogs but just the care she takes into caring for everyone of them, they are so friendlyyyy! And they cozy right in! My experience was so great I definitely will always and recommend Boston Hedgehogs!

Though it might seem like the Wait List takes awhile, the time will fly by and before you know it, youll be receiving some very sweet update emails and pics of the newest litter! Visited Rachels home with my cousin as we were both interested in getting a hedgehog. During the course of our visit, Rachel showed us babies that looked sickly and the smell was enough to make my eyes water. We ended up purchasing a hedgehog at Natick Pet World and had a much better experience. Stay far away from this breeder.

When we developed an interest in adopting a hedgehog, we quickly found Boston Hedgehogs in our research. When we needed supplies, the Hoffmans were so responsive, helpful and so excited that we found a little baby hedgie to adopt. They were so accommodating with times and every aspect up picking up the supplies that we needed for our hedgehog. We met with Rachel and she showed us everything that we needed to know about the supplies in the kit and guided us through the roads of information that come with new pet ownership. After all of our questions were answered, we left further educated and excited for our hedgehog. From the enclosure to the playpen and toys, the ceramic food bowl and water bottle, we could not be more pleased with everything provided in the kit. Without the enormous help from Boston Hedgehogs, our journey through getting a new baby hedgehog could never have been nearly as stress free due to how the preparation that the supplies and information from Boston Hedgehogs gave us. Rachel even recommended an excellent and local vet that we visited and were more than pleased with. We plan to board our hedgie at Boston hedgehogs any time that we are away and they are so helpful with all of our questions. I cannot recommend Rachel and Bill’s services enough.
