An outstanding practice that does excellent work in creating schleral shells. I lost my vision in 1992 and the size of my right eye had progressively gotten smaller as well caved into the socket. My cornea was also clear. Because of this Anna took the initial effort to see if I could wear a schleral shell that would not cause problems. I went 2 months later and Emma was excellent in making my shell. Knowing it was an extensive process in getting the right fit and color she was patient and very thorough. Easy to talk to and great to make a somewhat difficult process bearable. Go see them, you wont be disappointed!!

There’s no place like it! Their dad made my first prosthetic eye many years ago & it’s wonderful to have his daughters work with me now. Mr. Boyd was so caring and his daughters are too. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

YesI had been considering an artificial eye for many years. We came across this website and decided to make that call. I called and spoke with a very nice representative and she explained the process to me. They told me that they would contact my insurance co and file for an amount over and above that would cover any deductible. I was told that once I got the check I would pay them the balance owe and keep the rest. I was also told it would be an a day event . I asked if I needed to pack a sandwich. I was told no they would take of that. Well lets see what really happened . So while on the phone had to pay $500 up front to schedule the appt which was fine. Was told that once I received the insurance proceeds I could pay the balance due. So I ubered to Burlington because my boyfriend was going to pick me up and celebrate 🍾. Well after I got there she sent the finance person in and I was asked how would I like to take care of my balance. I said I thought were waiting for the insurance proceeds but not the case. So thank God I was able to come up with $3000 on the spot. So yes I received my eye 👁 and guess what I finally received my insurance proceeds for less than $200.00. I do believe they knew this from the beginning but was not totally honest about it. They do great work but be prepared to pay balance due up front and bring you something to eat.

They are the best. My daughter was stabbed in the eye and now she is blind. They did an awesome job and we are greatful.

Everyone at Carolina Eye Prosthetics are absolutely awesome. They made me and my wife feel right at home. Straight up perfection in the art work on my eye and placement.
